"Don't. Even."
Picking up the last piece of wrapping paper off the floor, he tossed it into now-overflowing trash bin.
"It's stupid, pointless, unnecessary, a complete waste of time and just plain ANNOYING." He didn't even want to KNOW where she got all this wrapping paper.
Crossing his arms, he turned to look at Sherry, noticing she was still sitting on his bed, just staring at him.
"Is there anything ELSE you need to do here, or is this going to be a regular thing?" Because if so, he was going to need to learn to lock his door regularly from now on.

She stopped with the giggles, but she was still smiling. "Since it looks like my gifts fit alright, I suppose there is nothing else in particular." Well, there was that one thing, but Sherry was fine with pretending it never happened. Yes, yes she was. Sherry decided it was best to ignore the weapon. "Are you saying," she gave Jake a questioning look, "you don't want me barging in here on a regular basis? I mean, it wasn't my original intention, but the door was open. And you have a history of not answering when I knock, so...." Every awkward feeling came back. "Sorry."

At the mention of the gifts, Jake flustered.
"Yah, well, thanks. I told you I didn't need them though." he muttered. It seemed the both of them were equally stubborn.
Sherry's questioning look was answered with a scowl. "That is EXACTLY what I am saying." He huffed. "The door was CLOSED. I just forget to lock it. And I didn't answer because I was SLEEPING, not like me saying anything would stop you from barging in anyways."
What part of "FORGET TO LOCK" did you not understand?
...I hate you.

Every single word he said was spot on.
Sherry sheepishly looked down at her hands. "Sorry," she repeated. "It was habit. And then I just, felt really weird about watching you sleep." She shut her mouth then, afraid to say anything more. Her mouth just liked to run away with her when she was nervous.
Sherry rolled her eyes. I hate it when you two are on the same page.
not.> Armagnac was grumbling now.
Sherry would have looked at Jake, but by now she was almost too embarrassed to. He just had to call her out and be right about it. "Well," she climbed off the bed, "does this mean you'll actually answer the door in the future? 'Cause I'll stop barging in if I can count on you to answer."

Jake gave her an exasperated sigh. "I'll answer if I'm in my room and AWAKE, though just because I answer, doesn't mean it's an invitation to come in."
He hadn't forgotten how she STILL came in after he told her to go away.
Now that his room was clean, he had managed to locate his clothes, along with a book he had been reading on a certain island.
Pulling off pieces of tape that clung to his shirt, vest and pants, he frowned. Well, his shirt was still kinda torn up, but wearable. He just wanted to change back into his regular clothes.
The death trainee turned, staring at Sherry. "So. Are you going to leave now, or do I have to change in front of you?"

"Understood." Sherry was nodding at the floor.
Was the weapon's voice full of what Sherry would call contempt? Yes, it was.
Sherry glanced over in time to catch of glimpse of the things Jake had uncovered. The book drew her attention, and she spent a moment or two trying to decipher what it was about. It reminded her heavily of a few other tomes she'd seen, the ones that had led them to that mountain.
Jake's question caused her attention to shift back to him. "Well, if you're offe--" Her hand flew to her mouth as she realized what she was saying. "Yes. Yes, I'm leaving." She was also turning bright red again.
Armagnac was laughing.
Sherry was at the door a moment later, but before running through it, she stopped and asked one more question. "Um. You wanna spare by any chance?"
Armagnac stopped laughing. What? Sherry asked the weapon. She just didn't feel like going and sitting quietly in her room. Too many ideas and emotions running around inside her. She needed to let off some steam.

Jake only stared at her. Why did he even bother asking?
Chester snickered.
He frowned. Idiots. He was surrounded by idiots.
Her offer at a spar though made him arch an eyebrow. Well, that was unexpected. But, well, a spar would be nice. He was starting to somewhat get a hang of his FEAR attack, and some more practice never hurt.
"Sure. You got promoted recently, didn't you? That probably means you should suck less."
It was probably the closest thing she would get to a congrats.

She almost smiled at his agreement to a spar. But he had to go follow it up with that. So instead of a smile, Jake was given a smirk tainted with annoyance.
"Yes. Yes I did. And it means I'm going to beat the tar out of you." Then she smiled at him. "Seeing as I did wake you, and for that I apologize again, why don't you send me a message when you're ready?" She didn't know if he needed to eat or something.
"I'll be around." Then she nodded and slipped out the door.

Sherry's smirk was greeted with a cocky grin. "We'll see who bests who. Let your weapon do the talking for you."
It's a figure of speech, dumbass.
Telepathic talking weapons. It was almost scary how he was so used to it by now.
He turned back to Sherry. "Yah, sure, whatever." The moment she stepped out the door, he stepped forward, locking it, Best not have a repeat of last time.
With that, he pulled off his shirt and started changing.
