"Why are you excited about bein' a cougar?" He asked with a furrowed brow and baffled expression. "You got like.. ten or so years yet fer that." Nevada, you have strange ambitions.
"I like it well enough. It's fun, 'specially if its hot out." He wasn't a terribly strong swimmer, though. He wouldn't make the cut for Life Guard if it came down to it. "We didn't really have any lakes near where I lived, but I had cousins in California. I'd go there like.. once a year or so."

"Why not?~" She laughed, bumping her hip with his. "I'm joking, I'm joking. I just think its funny to imagine oneself at those strange points in time where you get labeled stereotypes." She was really enjoying the talk with the boy and was making no hurry to leave the setting though.
"Where'd you grow up if you don't mind me asking?" She flushed, realizing that she might be asking a little bit of personal things but...it was natural to get to know people right? It wasn't like she wanted to know everything she could about Otto...but it would be nice. "So you probably had some rivers or creeks?" She furrowed her eyebrows in thought before nodding, "I've never been to California honestly, I hear the beaches are fantastic though. Warm, somewhat crowded but the water is usually warm enough to swim and surf in."
The next corridor brought them into the tanks for the larger fish and she watched as small sharks glided over the top of them, pointing up so Otto could see too. "That one has such a funny shape."

Otto smirked, balancing himself despite the small hip check. "My grand dream was to be the grouchy old man down the road who yells at kids to get off the damn lawn." He could play this game too.
"Louisiana." Otto replied with ease. "There was mostly farms where I lived. Not a lot to do." Small creeks could only contain a nasty little fish for so long.
"It's pretty nice in California, but crowded as Hell, yeah. I tried surfin a few times though. It's wicked fun, but really hard to do." He usually fell off his board a few times and gave up to go bask in the sun.
His head turned upward, to the sharks swimming overhead. These fish were getting bigger and bigger.

She laughed again, holding her side. "Its extremely funny you say that because I can totally see it. I bet you'd be that grumpy old man too that would find a victim and tell them your life story and about you damn whippersnapper and your gadgets. BACK IN MY DAY~" She mimicked as best as she could a old man shaking his cane with her free hand, "back in my day, we rolled around the streets on boards, LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE DID."
Once the laughing fit was over, and people passed by them again she hummed. "Louisiana!" She all but stopped and studied him more, "Wow! I didn't quite catch the southern accent at first but now I can hear it! Did you like where you grew up? I mean farms can be hard though, chores and such." Fascinating! Nevada has been more suburbs and city girl so the idea of a farm life was so vastly different.
"Surfing." She studied his profile again and nodded, "You know, I actually see you as more of a beach body then I do a farmer boy. Either way though, I bet if you told girls about both of your expriences, you'd get a lot of attention. Nothing more sexier then a man who grew up working on the land. or around it...or with it? Do you have siblings Otto?" She sighed happily, sneaking another question in."As you know I have a twin, we're identical pretty much beyond personality. And my mother and Father, a couple of cousins I hardly see."
The corridor started to lighten as they past through the bigger fish tank and stairs led them back up and into the over head tank displays. These ones though seemed to be interactive as she saw many people reaching into little canals and pulling out some of the sea life, like starfish and such. Tugging Otto regardless of previously mention she wouldn't she bent over the ledge of one of the canal like area's and dipped her hand in the water.
"It's warmer then I expected, oh look!" She bounced as she pointed at the sting ray that glided past them. "They let you pet those!?!?"

Otto had to smirk as she had a giggle fit over his imaginary future self. It was pretty accurate, and she seemed to get a kick out of it. "Them kids n' their Godless hover boards, and space cars."
"Not really. It was full of old people, so I was always by myself." He mentioned in a murmur, shrugging and averting his gaze. "N-no, I didn't work the land." It was kind of cute how excited she got about it, though. "My family owned a Funeral Home in a really small town. The rest of the town folk were farmers, though."
He paused.
"And before you get any ideas; No, I didn't work on dead bodies; my parents did." He shook his head, scratching his neck as he looked at their surroundings some more. "No, just me. My mom said she was lucky to have one kid at all. Apparently they had trouble conceiving or somethin'." He had no idea what having siblings was like. He imagined it to be annoying as Hell, but definitely more fun than being alone. Kind of like how Deus tended to be.
Otto allowed himself to be tugged along, just going with the flow of things. "Woah.. uh, I dunno? I'd be careful if I were you. Don't them things got stingers?"

Her hand swished in the water, gently gliding over the sting ray's back and away from its tail. As if watching Otto, she leaned him over and took his hand in too, dipping it in the water.
"Their kind of weird feeling as long as he don't touch the stingers..." she let both of theirs submerge in the water and over the back of one that glided past them, pulling his hand up only when the stingers came close. "We just have to be careful when we touch them right?" She smiled at him as she dipped his hand again, this time to pet one of the small sharks that had gotten curious about them.
"I suppose that could be hard, being the youngest in the community. It must be a little harder here too. I know of the death hunter Gale was the youngest, but I think were pretty close to it too." She chuckled as he answered her question before she could ask and nodded.
"Well still, you could always tell them that. Though I think your quite handsome just by yourself." She flushed because though she was flirt, she did have moments where she caught herself by surprise. "I will admit that I'm a bit surprised that I don't have to fight the ladies to even talk to you. You seem to be constantly surrounded by some of the female trainee's so I assume you're quite popular." Though from the little tidbits she picked up, maybe the girls didn't like him like THAT. Or crushed on him like she was doing now.
"Sometimes growing up without siblings is nice. You get to be spoiled, don't have to fight for attention and such. Then it can be bad because suddenly you have too much attention on you, they see everything you do and dictacte what you do because your all they have." She hesitated, "Sorry that's pretty grim for a date." She hadn't realized though that she was still holding his hand in the water, the harmless shark had now started to nibble at their fingers before she pulled it out. "So beyond surfing, do you like to do anything else? I mean, like I love naps and cuddling and stuff."

Otto was startled as his hand went into the water. Though apprehensive at first as his fingers grazed the skin of the stingray, he began to relax. They did feel kind of cool. "Yeah.. woah!" Oh, woah! Now she had him petting a small shark. Okay, this was pretty damn awesome. Freaky, but awesome. "Yeah, its annoying. People only see your age, and not you." It didn't help that he'd had quite the attitude to go with it. "Here its a little better, cause we all got things to do. Don't really matter how old ya are, everyone gets responsibilities." Deus had that going for it, anyway. Ugh. Gale. >:C He hardly ever saw him anymore but the name always irked Otto to some degree. "Yeah.. he's uh.. I think about a year younger than me.. maybe. Not sure." He didn't know for certain though. Death had a lot of information to his convenience but rumours were hard to separate from fact. His gaze quickly left the water, snapping to meet Nevada's. Wow, so was she really genuine about this whole 'handsome' thing? She flushed saying it after all. And now Otto had a pretty shade of pink across his face to match. She seemed convinced he usually had a fan club of giggling girls at his disposal. His attention diverted back to the sharks and rays once again. "Yeah but.. they're not really uh... You know when women flock to toddlers and puppies, and coddle them cause they're cute? That's all those women are really doin'." Clerise and Candace, even Eva, really. Ami to some degree. "They just see me as a kid." That word felt like poison on his tongue. "You got that right. No one else to blame for broken vases." He replied with a faint smirk. "Nah, its fine." He didn't mind the grim talk so long as it wasn't constant. As long as they were still talking and not standing in awkward silence. Oh right, his hand. Good thing she pulled their hands back out. He wasn't sure just how bitey that little shark was. "Naps are definitely on the list." His gaze fixated on the swirling sea life below. "Drummin' mostly... n' sometimes I like gymnastic type stuff. Clerise got me into it." Its how he got the name Prodigy after all.

"I have to say, I didn't think petting some sea animals would brighten my day so much, but some of them are really adorable." She hummed as she moved over some of the more reef like plants and rocks, some even had weird grass like texture when you touched it..or thick tentacle like stocks. Her hands even startled orange clownfish from their homes, causing her to lean closer to the water.
"I think I use to be bothered by it until I hit high school. Then I became a lot more mature..in the form of carefree? I had responsbilities but I wasn't overwhelmed with them, just enough to keep me from returning to a thinking of things like a kid." She laughed though, thinking of it. "Some people still think I have a baby face though. Makes it hard to sneak into those places where the adults are..."
"I haven't quite met him, but I've seen him." She let it drop at that since his awed face had gone from just that to big frown. No frowns on date!
It was quickly replaced with his blush though, and unlike Roland when she saw the blush, she didn't have the urge to tease him over it. It was more like 'Oh well um' shyness from her.. It was almost startling to her again, as she was so comfortable being a flirt and being flirty. Why should she feel shy about it now? Or even embarassed?
"I suppose that makes it hard for you to find a girl to like when they treat you like that? Then again, it could be their way of keeping a careful eye on the cougars who'd pounce on you~" She studied the water again, chuckling at her own joke, "But its like having older sisters, and you must like them a lot to let them do it right?" Otherwise she was sure he would've probably snapped their heads off...Though his attitude really didn't say that. He was abrasive but in no means rude. "I've actually met Eva and Candace, both of them are real sweetharts. Eva and I sparred and she was very helpful while Candace was the one who helped me when I woke from the ol' pod..." She thought of Ami and then chuckled.
"I've met Ami too briefly, she kind of reminds me a bit of you. In a good way. I like her straight fowardness." And let's be honest, Nevada liked to talk to the grumps it seemed. Again Otto wasn't really grumpy but Ami...well...
"Drumming? Are you good?" She looked up now, staring at Otto instead of the sea life. "Are you the reason some of the hunters are complaining about another hunter named Dakota? Something about him giving you a gift that would drive the neighbors crazy?" Though she had no idea who Dakota was, she wondered if the gift was a drumset. "Oh! Gymnastics." She laughed as if trying to imagine him doing complex moves that she had only seen on the olympics or such. "I'm afraid I'm too lazy for Gymnastics, Though I do love a good stretch now and again, I don't have the upper body strength for it. What's your favorite thing to do? Cartwheels or flips or things?"Bittiface HERE HAVE A MIDNIGHT TAG BBY ILU

Ah, High School. He hadn't gone long enough to get a real view of it. A whole two months before it was back to home schooling. He didn't feel like bringing it up, and simply nodded to her talk of it. He gave her a lazy sideways glance at the mention of cougars again. Did he look like cougar bait to her? It was kind of funny how it had been brought up a second time. "Sisters, huh?" Was that what big sisters did? That kind of put it all into perspective. Irritating as it may be, he supposed it also showed they cared. He shrugged, not admitting one way or another whether he liked them or not. (He did. A lot.) "Ami... Straight forward is right. She really lets ya know when yer buggin' her." His drumming is what had them meet in the first place. He didn't turn down his racket but he did make a friend. Was he good? A knowing smirk crossed his features briefly. When you'd had as much free time as Otto had back home, you got good at things out of sheer boredom. Mention of Dakota and him being the cause of complaining neighbours had him turn his gaze to Nevada again, his stern features flashing into a devilish grin. "Maybe." He was the reason. "Uuh.. flips n stuff, I guess. Like back hand springs. Cartwheels are the easiest to pull off, though. M'not as good as Clerise, but its wicked fun."

Yes Otto, You were cougar bait. Even Nevada knew somewhere there was a hunter well over there age limit wondering just how to get the little death in her bed for the night. Nevada totally snorted at her own thought and shook her head, not something she needed to bring up again right? Best to let it die down.
"Well coming from a girl who has a sister then yes, I feel like that's how they treat you, you know." She paused, "You went from just your parents to a large family now." And stifled the urge to pinch his cheeks. She obviously didn't mind categories to be put in but, she didn't want to be the same as older sister categories. If that made sense.
"Yes, I had quite the meet in with her in the labs probably a week after waking up from the pod. By and by, I actually find her quite adorable." But Ami would probably not apperciate that and so the mist huntress would take it to her and Otto's grave.
"You are the reason!~" She laughed and nudged him again, "You have a horrible poker face when you being so smug about something. One day I'll have to come and visit so you can show me your rockstar skills." Actually it didn't sound all together like a bad idea. Nevada liked music and could carry tunes, drumming was only one other form right?
Maybe.
She reached for his hand again as they parted from the petting fish tanks and continued down more corridors, she was silent for only a moment as she thought of what else to ask him, knowing that he'd answer because he was okay with it.
"Knowing gymnastics and being a hunter can be pretty useful, I'll bet you could sneak your way out of anything with the abilities to flip and such. Or just because your a death too." She chuckled as they passed a tank for large whales, one that was having a show right now in fact and made a soft humming sound. "Wanna sit for a bit?" She honestly stopped and waited for his answer in case he wanted to keep going. "Oh, then you'd be the expert." He jested with a knowing look. "The transition from one to the other's been shaky. I think I'm used to it now." Come to think of it, Eva once said he was a whole other person from when he'd first woken up. Maybe she was right. He did seem a lot more.. open. A lot less stuffy. A lot less angry. He supposed his 'Big Sisters' were to blame. Adorable? Ami? Maybe. She was kind of uptight, which wasn't a trait Otto saw as adorable. "She kinda takes herself a little seriously, don't she? Maybe if she loosened up."Another small smirk came and went, still feeling smug but not as showy this time around. When it came to drumming, he was damn confident. No reason to hide the glow. "Sure, if ya want. Drums don't sound the same without melody to go along with it, but whatever." He liked drumming by itself, but he was a drummer, so there was an appreciation for it. Most others seemed to see it as a racket. Hand in hand he walked along with her to another area of the aquarium. Otto didn't like crowds. He hated them. He kept focused on Nevada's company in hopes of pretending no one else was around. "Yeah, it's come in handy once or twice. Brute force tends to be a little more useful though. That and speed, if ya gotta run from s**t." Then again, he'd only become a Full Hunter a month ago. Maybe more stealth missions would be in his future. "Hm?" Whale show? Well that did sound cool, and it involved sitting down. Why not. "Yeah, sure. I'll try and think up some really awkward questions to toss at yeah." He teased with a straight face. "Yes! Expert on sisters indeed." She snorted, "twins even, should any of them be the same age of you." She nudged him over to the benches, choosing one farther back from the other small groups. Though she didn't mind people, she was a bit tired of being around them and their noise and sitting should help reenergize her from the constant flurry of them. Of course, had she known Otto didn't like groups as well, she would've looked for even more seclusion but since none was available...
"Some people have reason's too, of course I can't say the same. I don't have reasons to be so serious." She shrugged, "I just like teasing her when she gets so upset. Plus she calls me names and stuff and it is quite adorable still."
"Thank you!" She watched as a man passed out some cotton candy and popcorn, managing to snag some of both and held them out for the death hunter. She waited for the show to start, with seals popping out of every where and doing tricks...their trainers talking about the wonders of seals and their habitats. Holding out some for her date, she snickered.
"Well as long as it's not about my weight then I'm okay." She waited and then leaned over, "By the way I wear lace underwear. If you're wondering." She waited to see his reaction by raising her eyebrow and giving him a coy smile. "Go ahead and ask away Otto."

Otto settled beside her in a semi vacant area of the benches, glad to have some semblance of elbow room now. The constant chattering of other bodies was still rampant, but not nearly as constant. The show began, and Otto honestly found it really interesting. He idly plucked popcorn from the bag Nevada offered, enjoying the show for all it was. For the most of it, he wondered how they trained these seals to do this stuff, and then wondered if it could be applied to Jeremy. Could caffeinated, dandelion-headed squirrels from the Sun division be trained? Probably not. But he could try. Otto nearly choked on his popcorn, coughing once or twice to clear his throat before giving Nevada an almost scandalized look. Almost. You don't just tell a boy you wear lace panties and expect no reaction, right? "Good to know.." He choked out, resisting the urge to ask what colour. His face now red, either from almost choking or maybe just flushed from the information, the teen turned his gaze away as he thought of things to ask. "Uuh.... oh. You got a twin, right? Y'ever try and troll people with it? Like, one pretended to be the other?" He avoided anything involving her lace panties for now, lest his imagination run away with the thought.

With three seals on the display, switching between doing tricks in the water and out of the water, Nevada half watched them but mostly focused on Otto.
His reaction? golden and made her laugh. "I thought I'd cut the joy of one awkward question I get a lot." She teased, honestly enjoying his reaction to the fullest. "Okay, Panty talk aside."
It took a second for her to understand what he was asking before thinking about it. She was sure there was times her and Alaska 'trolled' friends and family. Probably mostly family.
"Just when we were younger. There was a guy who I really disliked that Alaska had been in love with, and before you ask, I had a good reason to dislike him. Sleezeball." She muttered but smiled, "So I would intercept text or notes for Alaska, go meet him and tell him how much I hated him." She stopped and sighed, "So it look like Alaska was the one doing it." She put her chin in her hand, "Alaska got back at me by pretending to be me and confessing to one of the geekiest and questionable guy as me. It was hard to explain how I didn't want to date him when she had made it seem like I couldn't live without him."
"But that was one of the most intricate times, after high school we turned pretty different personalities. I became carefree and easy to talk to, Alaska being the older twin took on responsbilities that our dad gave her and became more goal orientated." She winked, "Making it hard for me to pose as her. But yeah, when we were younger we did it often enough."

"That sounds pretty damn weasily." Otto commented idly. Girls were devils, really. Tricky little devils in lace panties. "I'd be friggin paranoid if I knew someone was out there with my face." The memory crossed his mind that Nevada had explained that Alaska had originally joined Deus with her. But she was still sleeping.. or worse. "What made her want to be a hunter if she was so goal oriented?" Otto inquired with furrowed brows. "Figured most folks did it cause they had nothin' to lose." It wasn't really a question about Nevada, but he was still sort of curious to know.
