"I never thought so." She smiled, shifting so that she could face him. "But I like the thought of flattery." Of course she was teasing, seeing what he would say for fun. She didn't think there could be any worse subject. "How lovely am I?"

"I could say..." He leaned closer, to whisper in her ear. "That you are elegant, distinguished, beautiful inside and out... I could say that the curves of your hips drive me crazy." The grin was evident in his voice - even as she could not quite see his face right now. "Oh, and your lips still taste like cherry." Oh, that. The Spirit Guide was quite certain his beloved remembered that one. It had been so embarassing back then, and now it just hardly seemed to matter. As long as it had amused her and it had not happened in front of anyone else, then what did it really matter.
He had changed a lot, since then.
"In fact, those lips look so delicious that I might just..." He did not finish that sentence, but instead leaned forward to kiss her.
Beauty and the tramp, really, but he could not complain in the least.

Cosine had to laugh at that. Cherry, the rediculous things he came out with, though she knew he had said it to amuse her.
Of course she welcomed his kiss, she had missed them. She always missed them, though now she felt secure with his absences. He would always come back to her.
Cosine kissed him back, placing a hand against his cool cheek. After a few moments she pulled back a little, keeping her lips close to his.
"Flattery will get you most places." she smirked a little and looked into his unusual eyes. "But, cherry, really?"

"But it is flattery if it is truth ?" Too bad neither deity was around of ask, as far as he knew.
"Of course." This was going to be one of those things they would always remember. And maybe something to amuse the children, one day. When they understood what it meant to have one's heart beat aflutter once someone simply looked your way.

Several hours later; tea drunk, fruit eaten and at least half a book read Cosine lay in Ankou's arms listeining to ... well, nothing. There was silence, perhaps only her breathing and the light rustle of the gauzy curtains in the breeze.
"It's a bit too quiet don't you think?" She spoke in a whisper.

Silence had never been something that bothered the Spirit Guide. It was well used to it, and he was comfortable in it. He had learned to treasure it when he could get it - true silence was, in fact, quite rare for him.
When Cosine would speak, he blinked - as if he only now truly realized how silent it really was. "It is." Normally, this little noise would mean trouble - aka children trying to be sneaky. Thankfully, the three godlings were still small enough that just because they were trying did not mean they were succeeding. "I never noticed how quiet this place could be." Before there had been lively children to make it otherwise.

Cosine nodded and listened to said silence. If there was such a thing to listen to. She suspected as she had met Scilence himself it must be an entity rather than an emptiness.
"I would have even thought about it before. In fact I think I would relish it, silence to think. But it seems strange now."

"That is because we know we have gained more than we lost." He smiled. That was right, really. They had lost the small little piece of peace they had in their own shared quarters, but they had gained three little miracles for it.
A good enough trade, he would say.
"They will be back to remind you what chaos feels like tommorow." He grinned, leaning in for a kiss. "Try to relax until then, hmm ?"

Cosine looked up at him and smirked relax, was that in either of their vocabulary.
"Yes, relax. I will certainly try." She replied, resting her head back against his cool chest.
