Blake was surprised by the sudden squirt of water from the older girl. He'd been all ready to jump in in defense of his friend but by the time he got over his shock everyone was starting to move inside. Deciding not to worry about it anymore for now he shuffled inside with all the others before turning to his friend.
"Um yeah so anyway... I thought about texting you to see if you were coming but..." Blake blinked as he tried to remember why he hadn't before looking sheepish. "But then I thought I'd just read a little more of my book and I forgot. Sorry."
Mandi's eyes had gone wide the whole time Alvis was talking. She thought he talked an awful lot, even more then she did. She had thought to respond but it was hard to find the right words when Calix was giving her a running commentary on how rude he thought this kid was being going on and on. Next thing she knew she was being tugged inside and she let out a giggle.
"I'm not shy at all! I was just trying to think of what I wanted to say but between you talking, and Calix talking, and all the other people talking I couldn't think at all." She was smiling though and obviously didn't mind much that Alvis was a chatterbox.
"But I guess I'll tell you about me. Like I said I'm Mandi, I like kitties, balloons, fun games, and oh adventures you mentioned going on those I love those and I think we should definitely go on one and become very good friends. Or not even just one we can go on a lot of adventures! We can drag my big brother Seth along if you want." She leaned closer almost conspiratorily. "He likes to pretend he doesn't like adventures but I can tell he likes them a lot. Don't you think it's silly when people pretend they don't like something they really like? Oh also I like drawing and stories and oh ummm I guess I like a lot of things! There's not much I don't like I guess. I don't like when people are sad, and I don't like to be bored. Also that is my Daddy back there with the dark hair who keeps giggling to himself. Sometimes he does that when I talk. He says it's because my happy is in... um in-fect-tea-e-us?" Mandi butchered the word but she tried to say it anyway. "You should tell me about you now."

Sha rolled his eyes. What the hell, silly water puns. A guppy was the last thing to describe him. He was smoke. He was fire. He didn't have anything to do with water (besides having a best friend of the element). He turned back to Blake as they walked into the gym now that the blockage had been scolded.
Sha laughed a bit, leave it to Blake to get so distracted. "Well no harm no foul, man. I'm glad you came tonight, I can swing parties alone, but they're more fun with friends. Too bad Trae had to go hang out with his uncle."
Wiley ran right through the doorway as soon as they got up to the doors and the kids that had clogged the door had filed inside. Shiny looked around and nodded her approval of the decorations. Wiley was practically buzzing with excitement. She immediately rushed over to the adults. "Hi. I'm Wiley. Nice to meet you! I'm gonna be going to school here soon, thanks so much for inviting me! Christmas is my favorite holiday ever!"

All Ariel kept thinking about was how upset she was that she didn't get an apology from the smoke boy. She didn't really hate him but not getting that sorry was ruining her day but she couldn't do anything about it like she normally did. Seeing Sha and his friend come in, Ariel instantly stared at him with her still pouting it up. Without thinking she stuck out her tongue at him as if she was a little kid.
A big smile arose on Alvis's face as he heard Mandi speak. It made him even happier that she talked just as much as he did, feeling that there would probably never be a dull moment with her. He listened to her and everything she said, enjoying every bit of it until he was told that it was his turn to share. "Well since it is my turn I guess I should share too. My name it Alvis but you can call me Al or even Elvis. I like a lot of things like learning about things that have happen in the passed, I also absolutely love to go on adventures even thought I have not really been on any as of yet, I also love watching TV of my favorite time traveling shows, I like reading even if I am not too good at it, and I really like dressing up. Do you not think I look fancy?" He said with a wide grin and showing off his clothes before talking again. "Oh I forgot. I guess you can say I like my dad too. Well more like admire him greatly. He is a really cool guy who has gone on many adventures. He even has really big muscles that even a bear or a lion would run from. Sadly he is not here right now. He told me that he had to go back home for something. Well it was mostly due to the fact about a possible new brother but he is taking an awfully long time. I was going to ask to exchange my gift for his and my new brother's safe return. Do you think she would accept? I hope she does. I an just tired of waiting. You know? I guess you can call it being worried or being lonely but I miss them." Again Alvis had not noticed how off track he had gotten but that happened very frequently with him.

Blake smiled a bit wider at Sha. "Yeah I'm glad you're here too. I definitely am happier to be here with a friend." Truth was he had no idea how to field a party at all on his own, but Sha probably knew that, so it didn't need saying. Then he noticed Ariel sticking her tongue out at Sha. Blake blinked kind of confusedly, wondering if she was still bothered from earlier. He held back from saying anything though, for now this was Sha's battle.
"Um so...what did you ask for?" He turned back to Sha hoping to distract him from the older girl.
Mandi managed to follow Alvis's line of thought even if it ended up off on another path somewhere.
"I think you look very fancy! That's why I called you mister fancy-pants. But I thiiink I will call you Alvis, I like that name for you best." She smiled even more at him.
"My dad likes time travelling shows too... I wonder if they're the same ones? But also... your Dad sounds really amazing. Also... also! New brothers are really exciting I have a new big brother and he's really great. I really hope that you get to see your new brother and Dad soon. I guess I don't see why the Lady... I mean Mrs. Moira couldn't help you out. I hope she can too. We should definitely ask!" The thought that something as exciting as that had Mandi rocking back and forth slightly on her feet joyfully.

Alex stepped into the gym and kept his back close to the wall. A small crowd had already begun to form! Not good, not good! Once again, he had absolutely no idea what to do in a social situation. Though he had been invited here, because he had wished for something, he was too afraid to recall what he had asked for! He shuffled his feet and whimpered, trying to find a place to hide.
While Alex was distracted by his fear of crowds, Valeria bounced into the event wearing a blindfold. It seemed that Nova had only turned her back for a second before Valeria's sense of direction took over. The cupid girl walked quickly with her arms outstretched, though she did bump into several things.
"Hellooo? Ms. Moiraaa?" She called out, walking dead into the snack table. "Ooof! What'd I hit?!"
Marisol's mouth just about hit the ground when she entered the gym. Everything looked so bright and colorful! This was going to be awesome! She bounded in, bumping into Valeria several times, and headed right over to where the other kids stood.
"Hey, hey!" She exclaimed. "Look at all of this! This is AWESOME!"
"I can't wear this bloody thing any longer!" Morpheus cried. He ripped the blindfold off of his eyes and gazed around the room, smiling pleasantly at everyone around him. The event looked nice enough, typical for a children's party, which made Morpheus feel warm and cheerful. Then, he heard Moira call out to the group, and he just about bobbed over to her.
"Salutations, Moira!" He greeted. "Ye have done a lovely job of decorating! Is there anything ye be needing for the festivities? I shall fetch ye whatever ye needs!"

Pleased to see that the children, teens, and adults were cooperating, the half angel looked around the room, her smile turning from a pleased, happy one to one of slight sadness when Morpheus walked towards her. "Hello Morpheus." Moira started slowly, trying to collect her thoughts when she noticed that Valeria had managed to run into something and that Alex had seemed to make his way along a wall to hide.
"I know it must hurt to have your parents leave you like they did, but I would like to let you know that Valeria and Alex are here." with a smile, she placed a hand on the boys shoulder and lead him to Valeria, wanting the two to talk as she went off to fetch Alex, seeing that the other kids still seemed interested in talking to each other before getting gifts, which was fine with her. It allowed her to get these three figured out easier without making a huge fuss about it. Quickly making her way to the small Meta, she knelt down and smiled kindly at him.
"Hello Alex, I'm Moira. I heard you were searching for your sister." As she speaks, she seems concerned, knowing how much it can hurt to lose a sibling that you were rather connected to for awhile.

At the moment Vic was handing his son a few of the different snacks that they had to see if he would be interested in any of them when a girl came crashing towards the table. He gave her a look and even wondered why she had a blindfold on but paid it no attention when Moira came along with another boy. The adult meta shrugged it off thinking it was some part of her plan with the event so he just turned back to Tobi, paying no attention to the kids behind him. Though as he thought about it he knew Tobi would have some type of trouble with the teen and kid. Extending out his wings, he tried to make sure they would be out of Tobi's view. He didn't want his son freaking out.
Turning away with her arms crossed Ariel looked around to all the other kids that were now inside the gym. It really looked so lively that slowly he anger for what happened vanished away as a smile now appeared on her face. There were so many people to meet she didn't know who to talk to first.
As she looked around she noticed a girl with a blindfold and bumping into others then the snack. She couldn't help let out a small giggle but it soon stopped as she heard another boy speaking loud and in an old fashion speech. He looked about her age and even seemed as jolly, possibly a fun person to meet. Ariel watched as Moira went over to the boy and even took him over to the girl that crashed into the table. She kept watching feeling an interesting vibe from the two.
Once Moira had left to talk to other kid Ariel made her way closer to both of them but said nothing. For now she would observe them and see just how interesting they would be.
Hearing the compliment to his clothes made Alvis extremely happy and flattered though he loved when his ego was stroked. It was a sure thing that he was glad to have met Mandi even if they had just met and had only been talking for a small amount of time. "Oh I bet they are the same. I can just feel it. Well kind of since I watch most of the time traveling shows myself. Well anyways, thank you for everything you have said and for even complimenting my dear old dad and brother. I know for sure that we will be close of friends. I have no doubt about that one bit," he said patting Mandi's shoulder. "Anyway, even if she cannot bring both back home the very least is that I was able to try and that is what really counts. Is that not right?" His smile faded a bit. He really wished and hoped that she would be able to do something about it. He really disliked the thought of being all alone. Trying to get the thought out of his mind he hooked his arm with Mandi and tried to smile more. "How about me and you go meet some other charming people to enjoy this fantastic event."

Phyllida finally deemed it safe to crawl out from under the refreshments table, and Cupid finally decided to return to his comfortable perch on her head. Phyllida grins up at the bird, petting his head and limping over to a chair to watch the crowd.
Dylan crawled into the closest chair she could find, looking around at the people as the arrived and dispersed. That lady she was talking to had caused a bit of a road block, but that was okay. The lady was probably spacing out about something. She pulls out her camera, taking pictures of the ceiling and the room, enchanted by the pretty decorations.
Frederique, as many would probably know about her, is a bit of a ditz. Meaning she has spent the last ten minutes daydreaming about her fish at home. Those beautiful, fluttering fish...Ah s**t, she forgot to feed them. She'll have to remember to do so when she returns home. Frederique steps to the side, leaning against a wall and deciding to be a bit of a wall flower. After a few minutes, she pulls out all the flowers she had brought and started dispersing them among the tables.

[Wrapping this up because it's almost MARCH. Ffs... I will only be responding to specific people in this thread after this point. Any thanks and what not can be 'mailed' to Moira post-event.] Once the siblings had been gently shoved together so they could talk, though Valeria would probably the one doing the most talking unless Morpheus decided to pipe up with a rather cheery speech, Moira had called everyone who had asked for a gift to get into a single file line so she could start handing out gifts. The gift-giving ordeal took a couple minutes, about 10, seeing as some presents were hiding under others and the half-angel had decided to buy extra presents in case someone wanted something else as well that tickled their fancy. She also had to tell the group that if the gift they got that they didn't ask for wasn't something that they liked, they could trade it.
[assuming here] Seeing that Phyllida wasn't in line, Moira walked over to the chair she was sitting in and knelt down, quickly glancing towards Tobias and Vic who were still together and attempting to bond, "Hey Phyll. I had a question for you that also comes in the form of a gift." She paused, giving the girl time to think before she continued, "Would you like to be part of my family? You can remain in the dorms..but you'd have a home to come back to and a family as well." Moira smiled, hoping that the gift wasn't /too/ much, seeing as she very well knew what it was like having a family that she could actually call her own.

"Heh, yeah, you would be. You and Trae really need more practice at being social. I asked for a skateboard." He didn't mention the other things he asked for. It was kind of embarrassing to tell someone that he'd asked something for that he asked for something for them. Wow. He'd just confused himself. Sha had asked for presents for his friends and now one of them was here at the party too. It was embarrassing and he felt kind of like a girl.
Wiley quickly popped her hands over her mouth to stop the stream of chatter because the nice lady in charge was busy. So she jogged over to the snack table to see what kind of festive food there was. Maybe cookies?

Blake snorted softly and crossed his arms over his chest. "I don't see why I need to practice that.... I have you and Trae for friends. I think I'm good." His totally serious face shifted into a smile though.
"Skateboard seems fun. I asked for... well, what you'd expect me to ask for." He made a vague gesture. "But it was more a general category so it could be just about anything I guess."
Mandi took Alvis's arm with a giggle. "That is what counts! You should always try your best I think. I think we should try to meet some other people." She looked around to see who else looked interesting, which was everyone.
"Umm well lots of people look interesting to me! Who should we talk to? Oh I know we should talk to someone who is all by themselves. Because that's not very fun and everyone should be having lots of fun I think. What about the person by the snack table? I think they look pretty and glowy don't you?" She pointed to Wiley. She wasn't really sure if they were a boy or girl so she just called them person.
