Silver tapped his chin thoughtfully, compiling the long list of things Kitty would need to know about him as they set out together as Master and Familiar. "I have more ex-girlfriends than anyone else in town or outside of town. I don't particularly like socializing with other sorcerers' children—I get anxiety thinking about how they are so much better than I am at magic and I don't want them to look down on my father and family because of my ineptness—but I do speak with them at parties. I just avoid them as much as possible. I hate the overly bland food, I believe ranch goes well with almost all foods, and I will run rather than fight with an ex-girlfriend if she starts getting violent. Alexis Theron is a tiger shapeshifter, so she's super scary, so I suggest avoiding her at all costs. I'm a terrible person with a terrible personality, I can't stay faithful to anyone except my family members. I have cheated on every single one of my girlfriends and I have cheated on the girls with which I have cheated. I'm, ironically, allergic to silver, but I swear I'm not part werewolf. I can't eat any meats if I can see the animal's face, I feel guilty. I love chemistry, it's my favorite subject in school." He was sporadic as he listed off things he thought Kitty should know and often went off tangent. "A squirrel once bit me and I had to go to the hospital for rabies shots in case the evil thing had rabies. I once turned my father's and Juan's hair bright orange and their skin green by accident. The potion was supposed to stop hair thinning and skin from wrinkling, though they made their own potions after my debauch attempt, so as you saw, they are relatively youthful-looking. My brothers and sister and I only share our father in blood. My mother died from blood loss after my birth and a couple of years after her death, my father met and married my stepmother. The rest you can see. They make a beautiful couple together. To me, my stepmother is my mother and I won't let anyone insult her. I have an unsaid rivalry with Malak Ahmad, she's a witch with three cats, but she has said on multiple occasions they only are pets because they aren't smart cats. I just think no cat wants a sadist like her as a master, and I'm speaking as a fellow sadist because, like I said earlier, I have a terrible personality. I like her younger brother, he's a witch I feel comfortable being around. He's nothing like his sister. He's more like their two older sisters. I like keeping tabs on all the town's visitors, but I think I've been stuck at home too long, so I'm behind. Did you see those large dots in the sky and hear those roars? I think they were dragons. So cool.~" While he talked, the waiter returned with their drinks, a glass of cranberry for him and a bowl of lactose-free milk for Kitty. He was glad the waiter had the sense not to give Kitty actual milk, it would do awful things for her tummy. He took sips from his drink as he talked until the waiter returned with some other staff members. They carted in a large fish tank filled with Pacific salmon. They placed the tank next to Kitty's chair while their waiter gave Silver his pizza.

As they left, freshly written on parchment appeared on all the tables, which prompted Silver to pick his up and read it. He was glad he did because it was a party invitation.
"Good thing we'll be eating long before the ball. Kitty, you can read English, right? This says Kuro and Shiro Wilde, the town's owners—not Ookami, she'll be pissed off—are hosting a masquerade ball and it will have food. Do you want to go? I don't know if you want to dress up, a mask and little dress would humiliate you." He placed the invitation in front of the cat so she could read it. He wondered if she did want to participate in the ball, it wasn't a big thing for him, but if she wanted to attend, he definitely would.

Fuyuki sipped his drink while their waitress returned with their food. Happy, the white-haired man dug into his food with vigor and watched as a group of waiters and waitresses carted in a fish tank to the table with the talking cat. It was amusing to see a fish tank for a cat while the human boy just snacked on a large pizza.

However, Fuyuki's amusement disappeared when several pieces of parchment suddenly appeared on their table. Picking one up, the dragon read it and stopped chewing mid-read.
"Have you ever gone to a masquerade ball?" he asked Sol, feeling a little lost. The dragon never attended a masquerade ball, only normal parties with humans who looked around his human-appearance age. He hoped Sol knew how to behave at such formal events because he didn't.

Mrs. Kitty listened to Silver, hearing what her own Master would be like, from his own description. "You should be careful with the women, Silver. As I'm sure you've noticed, 'hell hath no fury like a woman -or cat- scorned." She cautioned him, eyeing the swimming fish below her, trying to pick her first victim. "You're not very good at magic?" She asked, lightly, not wanting to offend him. It didn't matter much to her either way. "My late Master was very skilled, perhaps I can be of assistance in that sense as well. Though I cannot actually cast magic, I know the theory behind it." She offered, hoping she could offer him some help. It was her job as a Familiar to assist him.

Her eyes flashed a little as he cautioned her against the Alexis Tiger. "All she is, is a big cat. I don't fear any animal, especially not other cats, big or not." No, she was a cat, and her mother had taught her she belonged to one of the the strongest, most beautiful and most cunning creatures. She feared no one. Respected yes. Feared, no. She snorted at his rambling, laughing lightly. I would have known if you were a werewolf, I would have smelt it. I don't like the smell of mutt.

When the topic got to his family, she purred lightly, despite the earlier assault by his younger siblings. "I am sorry about your birth mother, but I am happy to see you have a lovely family."

Her purr became as hiss at the talk of Malak and her cats, her fur fluffing up, and fangs exposed. "Every cat is a smart cat. If they have not outwitted her yet, it is probably because they are biding their time, waiting to scratch her in her sleep." Not literally, but the expression was close enough. The only way cats were 'pets' where when they had a plan for it. Otherwise, they were their own masters, or partners, like a Familiar. She focused back on what Silver was saying, making her ruffled fur lay flat again. "Dragons are magnificent creatures, one of the only forms I may desire other then my own. And fascinating to converse with, particularly the ancient ones. Perhaps I can help you meet one, one day."

Kitty flashed as paw lightening fast into the water, hooking the biggest fish on her claws, and biting it at the base of it's spin, before putting it on the table, and taking a bite. She looked up from her fish to stick a paw on the paper, and read it over. "I want to go." She muttered, taking another bite, and letting her paw off the sheet. "Something you don't know about me; I can appear human too."

Silver grinned happily as Kitty's responses changed as quick as his latest girlfriend. The black cat was very much like a mother, scolding him about women and offering a helping paw in his magic, and she was fearless when it came to Alexis; and he felt himself falling for his cute kitty-cat. He also found himself fortunate to be the one who helped Kitty in the rain three years ago, he wouldn't be as happy now without her. She may very well be the only woman he could commit to in a relationship, and it involved only friendship and mutual trust, loyalty, and a binding contract. It was a good feeling. "You can borrow some of my mother's clothing. Oh, it says here we can buy outfits at the local stores, so you can wear my mother's clothes when shopping and then change into your pretty dress and heels for the party. What do you say? It will be long after our dinner at home once our contract is finalized." He was eager to see Kitty as a human. Sure, it wasn't normal for a cat to turn into a human, but Mrs. Kitty was an enchanted cat. Besides, if tigers and wolves and lions and foxes could turn into humans, so could domesticated house cats.

The sorcerer looked down at his pizza and saw only two more slices left. He was a growing boy after all.

Kitty looked into the tank by her seat, debating eating another fish, then shook her head. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea. Though I'm not overly fond of my human form. Why don't I come with you, and you can pick some sort of dress out for my to wear?" She would be in her human form for the ball, but her cat one was so much prettier, and she's prefer to remain in it while shopping. She also considered asking the waiter to get her fish 'packaged to go' just to see the look on his face.

"We have gone to balls before, hosted them too." Luna said, a flash of a ghost of a memory reminding her of such things. "They are fun and formal. Women wear glorious dresses and shoes, and the men put on grand suits and everyone wears a mask that hides who they are. It is quite fun when you find out who you are dancing with or talking to."

Between the food arriving and talk of a ball, Luna Estrella seemed rather happy for the time being. She had this image of her standing in a glorious silver gown with her white hair shining and looking like a goddess.... which she was technically considered in the old days. Right? Her mind kinda got foggy for a moment.

Sol ate in silence until his twin was done. "You have to make a point as balls to bow when you greet someone for the first time, and if you are greeting a lady you gently take her hand and kiss it. It is a very formal thing and you need good manners if you don't want to stick out. Please, thank yous, sometimes people even go back to saying m'lady and stuff just because it makes them think of old movies." He explained. "Stand up straight, be polite, and if you see a sad lady, ask her to dance or go get her a drink. Never leave a lady looking sad. Oh, and never tell anyone your name, not until the hosts tell you to take off your mask."

[Yup, but Silver wants to see Kitty in the dresses he picks out. I think he'll be surprised by her human appearance. They can run around town after convincing Aoi that he has to attend the ball (because he won't if he doesn't have to) and then they can go home, formalize the familiar contract, eat dinner, get dressed, and head to the ball for a night of dancing and fun.]

Silver scarfed the last two slices of his pizza as Kitty spoke and wondered what she looked like as a human. Cats aged faster than humans, so he thought Kitty, being an older feline, would look around his stepmother's age. She talked like a mother, though he wondered if Mrs. Kitty ever had kittens of her own, but then thought she wouldn't have had kittens because she had to care for her late master in his last years. "My heart, you'll love wearing dresses. They're flowing and beautiful, some are like fluffy clouds whole others are like glimmering streams. And then the jewelry you get to wear, it's all shiny and gleaming, and makeup, too. I like wearing makeup, usually concealer and eyeliner because I look so damn fine. I can't tell you how many girls I've—Well, you probably want me not to break another girl's heart, which is fair." As he spoke, Silver scratched Mrs. Kitty's ear and thought his soon-to-be familiar was thinking of something naughty. The thought made him smile as he waved for their waiter and handed him several large bills to pay for the meal and as a tip. "Do you want to go around town a bit before we return home?" he asked her as the waiter left to give him change for his bill.

As Luna became more and more animated talking about the ball, Fuyuki thought she was adorable. It wasn't like the animated conversations from other tables, hers was more subdued, yet cute. He was sure she liked dressing up nice and dancing the night away. And, in any case, he was thankful for Luna's explanation on the physical aspects of a ball. It made sense, though it was vastly different from Japan.

Now, Sol's explanation on the mannerisms was helpful as well. Of course, good manners was taught to him from an early age, but so was killing and fighting. However, he was confused about one thing in particular.
"How do you know if the woman is sad? What if she doesn't want to socialize, just eat and drink? What about the sad men? Do the women approach them and ask for a dance?" Well, it wasn't one thing in particular, but it was important to him.

"Sure, that sounds fine." Mrs. Kitty purred. "I suppose I can walk around human for a while, but you will have to get me some clothes to put on first." She instructed him. She didn't see why it mattered much, but every time she had changed to her human form in public without clothes in the past, people had freaked out. Human creatures were strange. "I like the sound of the flowing stream dresses. And I will need a mask, and you as well. But no makeup, it will be all stuck in my fur when I change back." She arched her back in a stretch, curling her paws up, and making a yawn that showed off her fangs. When she returned to her normal standing position, she nodded her head. "I'm ready to go."

Silver tapped his chin as he pondered Kitty's words and then decided their course of action. "Only change into a human when in your dressing room. People will freak out otherwise." And she was right, he needed a mask, which would not cost him much. He already had a suit in the manor to wear along with his makeup, and he couldn't possibly make Kitty wear makeup if it stuck to her fur. It was cruel. "Alright, let's walk around before returning home." He stood up as the waiter came back with his change. He packed up his stuff, placing Kitty in his backpack before leaving the restaurant.

"Sounds good to me." Kitty purred from her backpack throne, and exited with Silver.

Luna shook her head. "If they are smiling, they might be happy, but if they are all alone. sigh a lot, or are frowning or looking bored, then you say something." She stood up, her Silver hair shimmering. "I will see you later Sol, Fuyuki, if you see the other guy make sure he comes too. He could stand to loosen up.

[exit]

Sol Estrella nodded with what his sister said. "Alright, Guess I should too..." he didn't, much like the shopping part.

Fuyuki thought about Luna's explanation and was satisfied by it, though he hoped no one would be unhappy at the ball. It would be awful for people who didn't want to attend to attend. He just prayed to his ancestors that everything would go well. It was all he could do...well, that and pray Zaya would attend the ball as well. Luna was correct about him needing to loosen up, but Fuyuki know it wasn't something Zaya could easily do. "Do you believe Zaya will be at the ball?" asked Fuyuki as he paid for his meal as he stood up after Luna's departure. "He doesn't like dragons, and I'm sure those two females from earlier today will attend, if only for the glittering jewels, food, and mead. I know if Luna wants him to go, we can convince him..." But he doubted Sol would wish to trouble Aoi Zaya to attend the ball on Luna's behalf. After so many years, Zaya would be used to such tactics.

[Fu is like a big puppy-dog, he wants everyone he likes to be happy.]

"I doubt it. Let him do his own thing. If he is forced to come he will be a party pooper." Sol stood and readied to take his leave. "I suppose I will see you at the ball then. There is another man with white hair, but perhaps I can distinguish you."

"Yeah, I'll attend the ball. I need to buy a suit and mask first." Fuyuki sighed as he reluctantly agreed, though he did hope Zaya would attend and enjoy himself at the ball. Even if he came with a sour attitude, his mood could change throughout the night. It could happen, he believed. "So long as the man has short hair, we'll be okay. I don't plan on cutting my hair anytime soon." As he spoke, the dragon ran his fingers through his long hair before letting it drop back to his side. "See you soon," said the dragon with a smile before he departed to a clothing store to acquire the proper clothes for the night's events. He hoped nothing would go wrong.

[Exit Fuyuki to wherever he'll buy clothes. Next appearance will be at the ball.]

[Enter Aoi (with Kira in tow) from Town Square.]

Aoi held open the door for Kira and walked into the restaurant after her. He approached the hostess and requested a table for two. It was mid-afternoon, yet it wasn't very busy in the restaurant. Maybe it was from the aftershock because of the ball? Though he doubted it, the people of this town were an odd bunch composed of regular people and the supernatural variety. He thought the residents were just not interested in eating out. It could be today was the day they all chose to cook at home.

Once situated at their table, Aoi said to Kira:
"Order as much as you want and anything you want. I've heard this place can cook anything you think up, which is why it's called Anything Is Fine, I guess." It was his first time eating here, so he didn't know how it worked exactly, but their waiter said he'd come back as soon as they decided what to order.
