'Well, I freely admit I think she is the best mother in the world.' Adrienne smiled. Her mother was a constant anchor for her and her siblings, and she only hoped that her children and any future kids did and would think the same of her. 'I am sorry that you went through that as well.' the mare looked away, lost in thoughts and then back at the stallion, giving a little nod. 'I know, she just wants me to be happy. I am mostly, but I miss..that kind of companionship you know? And male company, much as I love my older sister and my mother, it's always good to have a change, and I don't see my brothers nearly as much as I would like.'

He smiled, they both thought of their mothers the same way. "My mother is as well, she kept going after two males left her. Then my half brother has some kind of amnesia type of thing,so she made sure she took even more care of all of us." Brian nodded as she apologized."No problem!Things happen for a reason, one way or another it'll happen eventually."
"I completely understand."Brian looked around them. That fuzzy feeling that you got with another close to you, that happiness. He surely did miss that. Why were they so similar? In certain ways they were,he could admit that."I don't see any of my siblings besides my brother. All my other siblings disappeared and they never come to visit." It was terrible to know that his siblings and their fathers just vanished out of thin air after having them. They were barely even adults when they left. He didn't want that to happen to his own children, but things just happen.

Adrienne nodded; 'She sounds like a strong mare.' she said in an approving manner. It was weird how much they had in common. She was finding herself wondering if her mother had secretly set this meeting up, and took a couple of furtive looks around before giving her attention back to Brian. 'That's a shame..I know I have relatives that I've never met..more than a few nieces and nephews. I can't help wondering how they are, but even though I would like to see them, I also know that they are alright.' she smiled. 'Don't ask me how, its just, how could they not be capable and healthy when they started out in the world in the best possible way? That's what I think anyway.' Adrienne flicked her tail, dislodging a fly that had been buzzing around, and twitched her ears as it flew away. 'Did you ever think of finding someone again?'

"She is,I really look up to her."Brian smiled and looked around them.It was quite peaceful and there was nothing bothering them, besides those pesky flies."It is,I wish I could met them, but they're probably too busy with their own families to wonder the same."He nodded in agreement."They should be just fine."Brian shook out his mane and blew up at his bangs in his eyes."They could unless they were captured, but I highly doubt that would happen.I wouldn't worry too much."He tried to be as nice as possible about the family matters, only because both of their families were split in many ways.It was tragic to see them gone, but also good because they can do their own thing.
Brian thought about her question."Hm...Would i?"He questioned himself."I wont be showing that I'm searching.Though, If I happen to run into a mare that suits me and she returns the feelings. Then most likely." CitrusCupcake Sorry about taking so long, I lost my muse. XD

'Captured?' Adrienne echoed, looking confused. She'd never actually heard of that happening - did he mean by two-leggers? Her mother had a good relationship with those, and that extended to the family, so she hadn't thought of them doing anything but good things. She listened as he spoke, nodding a little. 'I feel the same way. Whilst I appreciate my mother's efforts, I'd rather just get to know someone on my own terms, and then see if anything develops.' she smiled, and then gave a little laugh. 'I hope you don't think I was being forward in asking, wanted to know your thoughts, given that we're pretty much in the same situation.'

Brian's ears perked up and he looked concerned."Erm... Don't worry about it,I am sure they're safe Adrienne.."He meant the skinwalkers or kalonas, they were the worst of them all.Unless there was a soquili that had the mind of a mad man. "Agreed.I don't like rushing things,I didn't in the past. My mother just likes the grandchildren and the happiness that comes from it.She hasn't had kids since my half brother was born, that was at least three or four years ago. So the grandchildren give her that extra boost of happiness. We still give her happiness by helping her with what she needs."
Brian shook his head." No no,Don't worry about it."He smiled at her."Do you?"Since she asked him,he was also curious if she was going to start looking again.

Adrienne hadn't really been worried about her family members or children really until Brian had indicated that there might be something to worry about! She had been quite sheltered and hadn't really had much dealings with anything beyond a Kalona or two, and had never been really afraid for her life in any way. 'Okay..' she replied, slightly mollified, but determined to speak to her mother as soon as she was able and see whether she had heard anything. 'I think my mother would like children again before her years advance much more, but if it doesn't happen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great..well you get the idea - those are compensation enough for her.' She nodded at his question. 'Oh yes. I don't want to live out my years without finding love again. Especially if single stallions are all as nice as you.' she giggled.

CitrusCupcake I swear I replied to this. @_@; Sorry! That was stupid, why did you have to bring up danger.Stupid Brian, just stupid. He grumbled at himself and looked at her."I....am sorry to make you worry.."He felt horrible and upset with himself. But he shouldn't be too down about it,sometimes its something to think about. "I'm sure children would be great for her and you, more siblings for you and much more love for her."He tried to smile, but he just couldn't since he upset her and made her worry to death about her family.
Brian blushed at her response."I agree with you,it would be very lonely.Wouldn't it?" He laughed. "Same goes for you."

'It's okay, I guess it's my guilt working on me for not being in their lives more. But I didn't want to be that embarrassing, clingy parent type you know?' Adrienne said, giving him a sweet smile to show she wasn't upset. 'I know she'd like it..children to dote on again, but she wouldn't mind where they came from.' she chuckled. 'But she has love, love all the time, she draws it to her.' She giggled at his reaction and then had a little double-take of her own as he returned the compliment. 'Well, thanks.' she replied, her own cheeks warming. She really did wonder if her mother was somewhere, if she'd had a hand in this but no..it was just a very pleasant happenstance. She was greatly warming to this gentleman though, and hoped that it wouldn't be the last time she saw him. 'So, I mean, are you the kind of stallion that makes the first move?' She decided to start feeling him out, see if he would even be receptive to any sort of relationship beyond this moment. She felt she would regret it if she didn't at least try.

"Are you sure..?" He nodded in agreement with her. Glad she wasn't upset,he smiled."Maybe someday you can have children again, then give her the joy of having more grandchildren." That was good that her mother loved the joy of children, even he enjoyed them.It brought so much happiness into his heart. "That's a good thing, she seems to love happiness and generally happy others as well." Brian couldn't believe how attracted he was to this female already. She and her family seemed so nice and down to earth."You're welcome."He nudged her cheek and gave a flick to his tail.
"First move? It depends if the mare takes the first move,if she doesn't I will at least try." He laughed.Brian stood closer to the mare. "In the future, would you like to join me for a night gazing at the stars?" He hoped Adrienne and him would meet up again. Maybe they'd kick something off in the near future. It seemed they were both searching for the same thing. It made him curious if she was actually into him.

'Someday..' Adrienne said with a smile. 'When everything comes together and I find the right sweet, friendly and helpful gentleman.' she chuckled a little, pointedly putting forward all of Brian's traits...at least how she saw him so far. Not that she was certain about anything, but if she did take the plunge and fall again, he was certainly the kind of stallion you could take home to your mother. She just didn't want to have her heart hurt again. Adrienne blushed when he brushed against her cheek and had to look away for a moment, but turned her gaze back to him when he spoke again. 'So if I..I mean, so if a lady were to make the first move you'd be okay with that then?' she asked, she'd let the word slip out and had tried to cover it by correcting herself straight away but surely he'd noticed? He had to have.. 'I would love that.' she added with a nod, feeling like a young mare again, and not a single mother hoping for a second chance.

Someday, that day sounded like a really long way from now.Brian sighed happily."Oh?That is what you are looking for in a stallion?"He laughed with her,she was probably talking about him when she said that.Honestly,he wasn't the type to fool you,What he showed to you in person is how he was at all times. He didn't like the thought of being a player and hurting a whole bunch of mares. It wasn't like him to do that,he didn't want to do that either. He nuzzled her cheek again when she blushed.Brian listened to her closely, she seemed to be trying to make a move on him.Though she kind of made it clear she was talking about herself."If a mare were to make a move on me first,I wouldn't mind if she did."Brian gave her a small smile along with the flick of his tail.Hopefully she wasn't too nervous about trying to make a move,he would love it if she did.Of course that's why he invited her on a trip in the future to spend time with him looking at the stars. "As would I,I am glad that you will be joining me."

Adrienne chuckled, deciding to tease him slightly. 'Oh well, you know that females all say they want a loving, kind and respectful male but they always end up with a 'bad boy' that treats them mean and leaves them with a broken heart..' she said, attempting to keep a straight face, but couldn't and wound up laughing. 'Yes..I want sweet, and kind..and, well.' she looked up at him from under her lashes. 'Do you know anyone like that round here?' She blushed again as he once more touched her cheek, wondering at her reaction. It wasn't as though she were young, and just an adult. She was grown and already a mother, but still. It was a nice feeling. She felt giddy. 'So. Umm. When did you want to go star-gazing?'

"Oh? They do?" He squinted at her."Those males are just players and don't know how to treat a real woman."He shook his head and laughed at her laughing."Sweet,kind..."Brian thought about it and tapped his hoof on the ground."Hmm....Me?" Giving her a soft smile,he hoped that he would see more of her blushing. Brian was happy that she wasn't shying away from his nosing. Maybe this was just a coincidence, but he was extremely happy that she was around even if it was just an extremely short time. "We can go now."

Adrienne had heard of the whole 'love at first sight' concept. But she'd always thought that was one of those myths that silly and giddy young mares perpetrated as an excuse to go gooey eyed over any stallion that gave them a look their way. Love she thought was something to be grown..but she'd thought that the first time as well, and see where that had left her. 'Yes you.' she replied, colouring still more. She was the giddy young mare now, that was how Brian was making her feel and she liked it very much. She liked him very much. 'Now? I mean it's still fairly light..don't we have to wait till night for that?' she asked, teasing. She didn't mind that they would have to spend more time together waiting for the sun to go down, that was a pleasant thought to think she would spend more time with him, enough she hoped to work out if she'd been struck by an infatuation or if (as she thought herself too old for that sort of thing) this was the start of a proper relationship.
