"Faces are goooood." Ofelia shouted back her answer from where she was currently climbing a tree, doing her best to break off some nice looking branches to use as arms. She eventually managed to snap something off just as the branch beneath her gave way and the teen tumbled down. Her shield took all the force, she got up none the worse for wear, and with her prize in her arms she jogged back over just in time to see the weapons inside the snowman. "Ehhh, no fair Ah was gonna do that!" She playfully nudged him with her elbow as she stuck the 'arms' in place, one of them clearly higher than the other. To an outsider it would look like the snowman was doing an awkward airplane routine.
"Okay so we got arms an' a scarf an' a weapon, so ...a face? Wanna do the honors there?" She'd supplied the arms and scarf and Jake had only offered up a weapon. He needed to pull a bit more of his weight in Ofelia's opinion.[A.V.] these two are a crazy team XD

He was still admiring his work and hadn't noticed that Ofelia wasn't standing beside him until he heard a snap! and the sound of something falling, and turned just in time to see Ofelia hit the ground.
Eyes wide, he was about to rush over to her, but noticed that she... actually wasn't hurt and had made her way back over to where he was before he could decide what to do.
Her comment made him beam, and he puffed his chest proudly.
"Isn't it amazing?"
He smiled when she stuck the arms above the weapons, forming a... strange faceless 4-armed snowman.
Jake frowned, rubbed his chin.
"Hmmm....."
He then proceeded to poke two eye holes and drag out a smile with his finger.
"There!"

Ofelia was so proud. "It looks so fantastic." She placed a hand on Jake's shoulder and patted him, a way of saying 'job well done'. When both of them detoxed from all this JOY there would be moments of regret for one of them and a bit of sadness from the other. At this point in time it would be unknown who would be feeling what.
"Now that we got the snowman done, how 'bout that snowball fight? We can give one 'nother 'bout five minutes ta build a fort, gather ammo, an' then it's on." There would be no holding back. Ofelia might never have had a snowball fight before but she assumed it would be no different than dodgeball? The only major thing she saw that was not the same was the use of small balls of ice and snow rather than large ones of rubber and pain. "Sound good?"

When he came to, there would probably be feelings of shame too.
Shame he hadn't said a single unkind word to Ofelia, and shame for having made possibly one of the strangest, most pathetic snowman ever (or at least, the parts he contributed).
There was no time for that now, as Jake tried to grasp their next snow-time activity.
Fort? Ammo?

Ofelia looked at Jake, listened to his question, and she gathered a small wad of snow in her hand. "Fer makin' a base jus' pile snow up as best ya can? Ya need ta make sure ya can still see over it ta toss stuff. Fer the snowballs just...gather stuff like we did fer the snowman but make sure ta keep 'em small?"
She held out the one she made before dropping it, not wanting to use it in her ammo. Seeing as she hoped Jake would understand she quickly went over and started making a snow fort, reading herself. Sadly her hands were so cold she could only make a few snowballs to toss. But she would use them like a champion.

Jake nodded, soaking in every word Ofelia said.
Bending down, he scooped up some snow, forming them into snowballs.
His hands were pretty cold too, but he managed to make a tidy amount, enough to last him for a bit, maybe.
Watching Ofie, he grinned and got down on his knees, piling snow into a small mound.
It was a pretty sad-looking fort.

"Yer goin' down." Ofelia gathered one of her few snowballs in her hand, preparing to fling it as hard as she could at Jake. He may have built a shelter but she was going to win this fight. Ofelia was a champion in everything she did and that was that.
There was not a shred of doubt in her mind.

"Not if I hit you first!" he laughed.
Chester only muttered something about hypothermia in his head.

"Bah! Yer gonna miss me by a mile!" Ofelia teased and chuckled as she lobbed the first of her 'missles' at Jake's base. It made contact with him, at least she could see it explode with contact on something and she giggled wildly.

He had tried to duck, but his "snowfort" still left a lot of open space, and shivered as the snowball hit his arm.
"We'll see about that!" he called out, lobing his first snowball.

He managed to smack her with a snowball. Color Ofelia impressed but not at all out of the action. She was going to show him the fear of it all! "Ya call that a throw? Take this!"
Her throw was so sad it would have made a baby laugh at her.

While her throw might have been a little off, it still made contact with his base, making some snow spray at him.
"Oh yah? Well, I'll show you!"
His aim had been pretty off too, and probably managed to hit more snow than skin.
They were both just kinda sad.

It didn't matter how bad they were though because Ofelia was having a lot of fun. Her cheeks were red with both delight and the cold and her fingers were turning blue from messing in the snow. It didn't bother her though because the adventure and game was still on. Jake was missing just as badly as she was and so she grabbed another snowball and chucked it as best as she could.
It smacked Jake so hard she stared at the action and felt sort of bad. " . . . Oh crap. Sorry kiddo!"

The snowball had hit him square in the face, and he sputtered, wiping away the snow.
"Nice one." he coughed, reaching around him pile for another snowball.
With the snow in his eyes though, his aim was really quite terrible.

Ofelia called out "thanks" as she smacked him that first time but the next snowball she tossed sailed entirely over his fort, him, and went off into the distance.
