Sounds a bit like other this website, MeetMe. I go on once in a blue moon. There are a lot of horny people on that site too. One guy sent me a long erotica story about me. It was kind of scary. But I have, however, had decent conversations with a few people on there, like one about teas and such.

I've had it for a few months now. All the messages I have received are guys wanting to hook up.
I was hoping the app would find me some more gay friends but the gays around here only use it for hook ups.
What are your experiences with grindr? Is there an Android version of this?

Grindr is mainly for hooking up though. It's kind of the "personality" it has taken on the last couple of years. I mean, searching for a relationship on it is like searching for a relationship on manhunt.
You may find one, but dont go looking for one.

It's the only place they can get it in a town like this. rofl When I was in LA it was mainly the same thing but with a few more "looking for a relationship" profiles. I'd suggest using an actual dating website. The iphone gay dating apps are usually sleazy.

Honestly I think we All know its a hook up app. Maybe not in its actual description but thats what 99% of people use it for. Its how EVERY gay social medium gets used. So i get annoyed when people complain about that. I mean Ive used to hook up when I was single and I've made a few pretty awesome platonic friends from grindr. You get out of it what you make out of it. If you get sent a c**k pic and dont like it then say so in ur profile or block the person. simple and done.

Ashamed to say, I do have a Grindr and for whatever reason I hate it but maintain using it.
I've only tried the whole hookup deal once, not my thing and totally disgusting to be honest.
Honestly I was looking to meet cool chill guys on there, and I've met a few, but for the most part it's a bunch of slutty men looking to get in the pants of other slutty men.
I really do hate it but I hold onto because I give people the benefit of the doubt and hope that I'll find at least a few decent people to hangout with. Lol I haven't found one decent guy. Although I have found out a lot of guys from my high school are gay. whee Oh my gosh, yes, almost too many.

Ohh grindr. Not really my thing. I have friends who use it and I've seen what it looks like but it really wasnt for me... plus not to stigmatize it but I've read in a recent survey that 50% of guys who use this app have had unsafe sex with people they met there... not that it necessarily reflects grindr as an app but it kind of gives a bad impression (For me) of people who use it, especially if its mainly for hook ups.
