"Yeah, just a moment." Syl left the room, returning a short moment later with a few herb stems. He set them down then handed her one. "Chewing on this one's leaves should help dull the pain." He started gently picking leaves off another stem.

"Thank you." She smiled softly before bringing a couple stems to her mouth, chewing slowly for the full benefit. "You're very kind." Already she was finding herself to be feeling better. A little bit bit it was better.

"You're welcome." He smiled back, setting aside the pile of small leaves he picked off a couple stems. Then he began to thoroughly look over her wounded side, looking for the worst-looking one.

Many small cuts were seen over her side, though a long one in her leg was clearly the worst she had, fur torn away a bit, leaving her to sigh. "It hurts less..." She looked up to him, smiling softly. "Thank you for all of this."

"It's no problem. I'd want someone to do the same for me. Oh! This is for you, if the pain starts coming back," he explained, pointing at the small pile of herb leaves that he removed from the stems. He slightly frowned at her leg. "This one looks the worst. I'm hoping it heals just as smoothly as the others. If you want, we could take a trip to the river in the morning and try washing it out? If you're up for it."

"Isn't it dark out though? I don't want to put you in more danger." The worry in her voice was heard, her eyes open and looking at him, mild fear settled in as she thought about the monster that had chased her.

Syl gently sat next to her. "Oh! Oh, no. Not tonight, Neone. You need to rest and get some of your strength back. I have some nuts and berries, if you want something else to chew on?"

"If it's ok." She swallowed, sighing before shutting her eyes. "Cool... it's nice in here..." She reached out with a paw and tapped his back. "You're very kind... I'd like to call you friend."

Friend. Syl smiled, liking the feeling of her paw on his back. "Thank you. I'd like that. Do.. do you prefer blueberries, raspberries, or.. nuts?"

Syl nodded and left the room, returning a moment later with a nice sized raspberry, holding it by the stem with his teeth. He set it down in front of her and sat, smiling. "Here you go. One of the biggest berries I have."

"No... one is fine..." She swallowed the bit she nibbled on. "What...were you doing out there? If...I can ask." Her ear twitched as she watched him, seeming curious about the wings on his head as well, but being polite and not asking.

"I was on my way home. I had been out exploring all day and enjoying the weather. I do it often." He put a paw to one of the wings on his head when he noticed her gaze. "I take it you don't see wings on top of heads often?"
