Thaddaeus paused at the open-ended question, trying to think of anything particularly helpful. They had been here long enough to know some things but it wasn't like this was a home they were permanent residents of, there were definitely secrets they didn't know yet.
"Oh!" Asante exclaimed suddenly, looking back the way they came, "There's a small herd that lives around here, there's a hill some ways back there that they like to stay on some nights."
Thaddaeus glanced to Asante and back to Yareha, nodding. Hunting suggestions, of course.
"They're small but not too tricky to take on your own," he agreed, "We may have scared them off the hill for a few nights, actually, but I've seen some signs they share that hill with some hares, too."

Now there was welcome news! Good hunting was difficult to stumble across when you didn't know the area, and while Yareha had been okay, he certainly hadn't been allowed to be picky with it.
"That is very good to know," he commented, with a big smile for the two. "I appreciate your help immensely." And it was true, this was exactly what he'd hoped for from that obnoxious black lion. That rogue, however, had had a completely different set of priorities, one which wasn't productive to answering the white lion's questions.
"Is there anything I can do for you in return?" he offered. Yes, he itched to go hunting right now, but it was only polite to make the gesture.

Asante was beaming.
"Happy to help," she said, "If you need anything else, we'll probably stay in the area for a little while longer. We're never hard to find, especially if you know we're around."
One benefit of being part of a pair, there was less to be nervous about outside of a pride. Her life had become so much better in so many ways since finding Thaddaeus.
Though he nodded when Asante offered their help in the future, he shook his head when Yareha asked if he could return the favor somehow. They really weren't lacking anything they needed.
"Nah," he said, "Just stay safe."
Asante nodded.
"We best get going," she said, glancing to Thaddaeus, feeling they had offered what help they could and it might be best to let the pale lion sort everything out on his own. He was probably getting tired of strangers now if she had to guess.

"I should go as well," Yareha answered in kind. "My thanks again," he told the pair, turning to go his own way. He knew Latitare would come and find him and scout ahead once more. There was no quesiton of where they would go next - obviously they should investigate this bird pride. He knew the eagle would insist on it and the white lion had to admit to some curiosity of his own.
Not to mention that if they were so keen on birds, having his partner there should win him some sort of safe passage.
