Rep smirked challengingly. "So you are a lots of tiny portions kind of guy. Guess I can see that. Me, I just go in for the one big ******** memorable attack." His shield was getting low again, under half at the very least, Tracey informed him. But he didn't care, it felt good to just be fighting and bantering with Dakota again after the heavy and toxic atmosphere that had been there not too long ago.
He backed up anxiously, wary of letting him stay close range too long with such a deceptive and punishing weapon, acutely aware of Tracey's dead zone and determined not to let it become his.

"Yeah, I find it more fitting to build all the stress and tension up rather then blasting them all on the spot."
He waited and then..."Wait, where you think you're going?" Dakota blinked, "Are you trying to move away. Whoa bro, haven't you learned that I don't take well to you moving away?"
"Up close, Rep. Up close and...Personal." He whispered with waggling eyebrows.

NOPE. Nope.
Dakota was one hundred percent too close to be saying that sort of thing, Rep kept backing up rapidly, bringing Tracey around to strike back at him.
He couldn't even think of a come back he was so full of nope.
"Nope. Too creepy. No homo okay."

"That was totally no Homo." Dakota laughed as he struck out again. It was too bad Rep moved fast, and far.
Shielding his eyes, he studied the hunter and the smile softened. "No homo moment Rep, Let me just take a breather." He stuck his hand in his jacket and then twirled Chama in his hand. "I got a gift for you by the way, after this spar. Was going to give it to you even if you didn't like me or we didn't make up after this so..."
"You're okay with gifts right Bro?"

Rep gave Dakota the most suspicious look he could manage. Gifts. He never trusted gifts, no one gave gifts without strings. He wasn't sure how he felt about a gift that he would have been given even if Dakota still wanted him to crawl off and die somewhere either. He raised a brow. "Aye I love stuff."
"Like possessions and s**t. So aye, I'm okay with gifts."
He held Tracey defensively, still wary.

"Trust me, It something that means a little more to me than you think." Dakota felt his weapon burn in his mind.
She had been charged again and she wanted to release..now.
Using the montemum from his weapon, he slid around the defense of Rep's and slashed at the shield.
"Almost ready to give brother?"

The swing from Chama knocked him off balance, even with Tracey held up to block it and in his thoughts the angel was quick to tell him that said blow had been enough to whack his shield dangerously close to breaking.
He sighed heavily and lowered the axe.
"Aye." he snorted, rolling his eyes. "I give."
He always lost to Dakota, every time. He had no idea why, but there were a hell of a lot worse people to lose to than the moon hunter. It was probably a good thing that you couldn't beat the guy supposed to be watching your back after all.

Dakota nodded and sheathed the dagger before grinning cockily.
"That's three for me. Maybe when you become a hunter too, you'll kick my a**." Dakota blinked and then pulled out a wrapped package sort of thing from his coat. How it managed to stay there during the battle was surprising and magical and Nyx says so, its okay.
He held the parcel out to the sun hunter with an oddly serious expression before coughing.
"Look okay, no homo when I give this too you. And if you call me a woman, I'll punch you and you'll wake up in the infirmary." He ran a hand through his hair.
When Rep opened the package, inside would be Dakota's intermediate jacket. Torn and weathered out, it was something of pride that Dakota took in himself. That jacket had been through him when he changed, grew, made good choices, bad choices. To him it was meaningful.
"Look I know it's not what you're expecting but...It's part two of the apology or whatever. You can do whatever you want with it but..." Dakota shuffled, "it's my way of telling you that I've grown, and I don't want to disappoint you. I've made good choices, fought with you in that jacket, grew in that jacket.-"
He looked away, "And I made some bad choices, and suffered a lot in that jacket. It's part of the past sure, but that's my way of letting you, I won't forget what happened." Dakota shrugged, "So I'm giving it to you instead of keeping it. Because you're someone who will remind me of my choices."
Okay sap moment over, he cleared his throat and offered his hand to the Sun hunter. "Eclipse team in the future. I look forward to you becoming a hunter soon Rep."

"Aye, mibbie." Rep said with a wry smile, he had been beaten every step of the way by the moon hunter and he doubted that a mere promotion would ever change that fact. It didn't bother him though, once upon a time it would have been slight to his pride and something he would chase down incessantly until he won, these days it was just a humbling fact and reassuring that his peers were keeping up on their training too. Their strength was in numbers and in teamwork, not individual showboating any longer. "I doubt it though."
He smirked playfully but indulgently as he took the package. "As long as its no a box of chocolate and a love letter I think we are good."
Opening it, Rep held up the jacket therin, recognising it immediately for what it was, the moon emblem just as familiar to him as sun. Despite all appearances, Rep was a fundamentally sentimental person, items held a lot of meaning to him - a factor laid testament to in the friendship bracelet around his wrist, the shirt he wore on civilian days out and even something as subtle as the hair tie in his hair. He knew the value of a hunter's coat, his own intermediate jacket was ragged and worn but it meant something, it was pride, earned through suffering and trials.
The edges of the smirk softened into what was almost a smile, a faint crack in his arrogant exterior. "Ta mate. And we all make some ******** awful choices, my coat was earned on the back of blood that didn't need to be shed in the first place." he shrugged, "It's like I told Clerise, you are a good moon, too good. You wanted to protect everyone and there's nothing wrong with that s**t, you just learned a lesson. You are going to be ******** badass soon enough and I'll be ******** honoured right? - to fight alongside you and s**t."
He slung the jacket over his arm. "And maybe one day be able to earn the defence by being equal to it."
He smirked again, but it was friendlier than before. "Good spar man, I'll be hitting you up for another if I ever get promoted one day."
