Detective Meyers
 "Er...well," Detective Meyers said, confused by the seemingly conflicting responses. "Regardless, may I assume you two will be working together on this case?" He asked, hoping that more complications wouldn't arise. The third team still hadn't arrived and he was becoming concerned. Just then a black car pulled up along the dirt road leading to the small dock they were at. "Ah, whenever you are ready, this is the car that will take you deeper into the jungle," he told them with a light smile.

 Lucian looked up to Blake and took his hand, pulling himself up onto the dock. He smiled "Thank you. So what's the first thing we will be doing?" He asked, letting go of Blake's hand and wringing out his shirt.

Detective Blake  Detective Blake nodded as Lucien thanked him. "Well, your teammates Michi and -" he stopped as he realized the man hadn't given them his name yet. "-and her friend will be taking care of Priestess Nali and the Sapphire of Regret. That leaves you with the option of going after the Sapphire of Sorrow, stolen by Captain Sandy or helping us here to search for the third thief." He gestured towards the coast and then back towards the Museum itself, indicating the two locations that Lucien could choose from.

He jumps up and down and loosens his leg muscles. Then picks Michi up and places her behind his back. "Point the way Captain" he was like a car or a mobile for her to stir. He was confidence that they would be able to catch up to the thief before sunset, if not then the night was a good for the element of surprise as well.

Detective Meyers
Detective Meyers looked up at the two, then back at the car that was waiting for them. "Ummm, if you'd prefer to walk, it's that direction. I've already given Michi a map," he said, pointing towards the interior of the island. The sun way already getting low in the sky. "It's evening, her followers should be lighting their bonfires soon. It should be fairly easy to find them; just follow the smoke."

Lucian smiled and thought to Max "Well, which do you think we should do? I just want to get one of these gems and kick some butt." He asked excitedly. All the while making a face to Blake that made it seem like he was just debating the possibilities instead of telepathically talking to a dog.

 Max was looking at the Museum, his tail wagging slowly. "I would prefer searching the Museum. I can use my sense of smell to track down things most humans would miss. It would give us an advantage." He scratched himself with his hind leg, pretending to be interested in the local sights and smells.

Lucian nodded and looked up to Blake "Alright, well I think our certain skills will help you in your search for the missing gem, so we will join you in the search." He said, putting his hands into his pockets. He thought to Max "We are gonna be the best detectives ever! We are gonna find this gem and kick the thieves butt!"

He did what she asked to, but only he ran across the sides of the dirt way. So that he didn't leave a possible risk with a trail or meeting up with something on the roads. "Alright hold on tight" as he was running through the jungle.

As Michi and Kaze began to move through the jungle, smoke could be seen on the horizon, and a faint beating of drums could be heard as the sun continued to set. Various animals could be heard making noises as night fell and one would get the feeling of being watched. Up ahead there seemed to be an empty village full of grass huts, but no one was around to be seen.

Detective Meyers
Detective Blake The detectives watched Kaze run off with Michi and then turned back to Lucien. "Right this way please," Detective Blake said as he stepped inside the Museum. "I'll wait on the docks for the third team," said Detective Meyers, staying by the docks. The entry room to the Museum had a large domed roof, sweeping upwards with skylights that let the evening sun down into the room. All around were various display cases. Some showed native trinkets, some showed precious gems and some showed ancient relics. "All of these are worth a great deal of money," said Detective Blake as he walked to the center of the room, looking around. "Which makes it strange that the thieves would only steal the gems. Sure they were by far the most valuable things here but they surely had room for more." The building had been sealed off for the investigation and aside from a few other police officers, Detective Blake, Lucien and Max were the only ones in the large room.
