Watching as the others went on to strike the Furnace king, Shun let out a breath, focusing on the area around the metal giant. He was getting ideas of where he needed to strike. Once he had that all in mind, he disappeared, leaving behind a small puff of shadowy smoke.
He reappeared behind the King, striking once with his daggers before vanishing again. Then, he reformed off to his side to lash out there. And then again to the opposite side. This repeated a number of times with him shadow stepping around the Furnace king to strike from various angles. Then, finally, he stopped and reappeared some distance away, breathing a little heavily from exertion.
The Reaper had ended up getting a little singed along the way, but it wasn't anything major.

Sophie let out a loud grunt as she landed. Standing up, she rubbed her behind, now sore from the abrupt and not exactly soft landing. Looking around, she noticed the toys and let out a whimper. How horrifying. But nothing - no mutated, crawling and grasping toys were more horrifying then the furnace. The furnace filled with fire. She felt the heat lick her face and clenched her fists. What was she supposed to do when the furnace king was 90% of what she was afraid of. It just had to be something involving fire, didn't it?
But looking around the room, Sophie noticed all the other students fighting. Doing something. A determined look crossed her face and she jumped forward to attack. As soon as she did; she regretted it. The heat was too strong and Sophie couldn't even land a hit. Moving back away from the furnace king, she frowned. She couldn't attack. Not like this. She'd have to be useful some other way..

Strangely enough, claws and tentacles had very little effect on a metal body. She enjoyed the painful sounding scratches, but when she pulled away and found the king standing, unmoved, she let out a low groan.
I should have learned to spit acid or something equally as helpfully horrific. She growled to herself, flicking one of her wing crystals up at the Iron King's face. She aimed for his eye, it pinged against his nose, instead.
Still. It looked annoying.

At first, it seemed as if the students' own creations would be out to get them...but this quickly changed when something much, much larger (and much better put together) suddenly emerged and attacked.
Welp.
"HEY, there's nothing wrong with our toys being a little mismatched!" The baku yelled, feeling the need to defend her deformed (and in one case, just a head) creations. Careful to avoid its attack, she slipped forward and swung a gloved fist out at the Furnace King, immediately flinching in pain at the heat that seared through her glove .

Ren, in the meantime, was attempting not to get sucked into the toys. They were really very creepy and their eyes were staring at him and one of them was on his leg and he was just hopping around attempting to get it off and really was there nothing else that could -
Boom.
"Okay," he said aloud, hands on his hips as he surveyed the enormous creature in front of him. "This is not much better."
Talons extended, Ren leapt forward, slashing at the...thing...but he wasn't very damaging, and he bounced nimbly backwards after a few cuts, frowning a little.
He sidled over to Tybalt, draping an arm around the black dog's shoulder.
"Tybalt, my man. What're you lazing about for?"

Or that's what Jack felt like someone should have shouted out when he landed slightly gracefully on the ground - and by gracefully it meant he landed like he should have, on his feet. He was still a little shaken by being bumped and thrust around - at one point he let go of Tomoko, would really bothered him. Looking around, he caught some familiar faces on the . . .uh, toy. Mountains. Yes.
Looking up at the monster that they were all going after, he caught sight of the little kitsune as she tried, and missed, going to follow the attacks that his bro and the one named Ren had sent off, doing what he could against this . . . strange opponent.

Jack hitting the thing didn't seem to make the situation much better. In fact, it almost seemed to make it worse, and the kitsune furrowed her brows together and coughed a little bit at the thick steam filling the air, making her lungs feel like she'd just tried to swallow water.
"HEY" she shouted at it, then coughed, eyes watering as she tried to navigate through the steam. "You're just-" wheeze "a big bully!" cough. This time the kick from the kitsune actually hit her target. However, he was bigger than she was and her toes felt nothing but pain Mr. Lothar.
Which was where her whimper of pain came from shortly afterwards.

Getting dropped in to a new room rather unpleasantly Lumikki looked around hesitantly. Well perhaps that question about what else could possibly go wrong was the wrong thing to ask current. Whimpering she saw the huge monstrosity before her, and the students attacking it. Maybe eating something from the nice room would have been beneficial now, because she wasn't feeling so great.

The monster known as Chuppi came tumbling into the room just as people started to really wail on the creature, their attacks doing some damage, and she looked down at the candies she had in her hand. She felt a little tired, a little nervous, but it was important for her to give it a chance and to help everyone, right?
She was a third year student for all purposes, she needed to step up, and so she tucked the candies into some magical pocket she happened to have in her dress. It only took her about one jump to reach the creature and even less than that to get in a strike. Her claws were hard, her quills were hard, and somehow Chuppi managed to do a spinning attack in the air (without her FEAR) and landed a pretty impressive blow.
Of course the king was hot! and it burned against her skin as she landed back on her feet. She blew on her small hands, as if that would actually help, and Chuppi looked around at the others. Should she try again? It wasn't like the chupacabra was too tired to give it a go.

The 'King" heated up, causing mist and smoke to go everywhere, blocking everyone's visibility. Gene persisted, however, and earned herself a good burning.
But at least she landed another solid hit on the thing. She leaped away from it, looking for another opening. Should she?

Well, ruined glove or not, that didn't matter. Xiu could always replace it, and really, getting out of here alive was a much, much bigger priority. The Furnace King was obviously quite displeased by their attacks as well--the area around them suddenly began to fill with steam, so much so that it was starting to get hard to see anything. She could make out the shapes of the other students though and, squinting, she could make out their very large opponent standing nearby.
Without hesitation, she leaped forward to attack, her fist just grazing him.

The landing was an excellent one, AJ made a somersault before he landed. The texture beneath was kinda weird. He took a look and found he and other students were stepping on a pile of toys. They were alive and groaning, making a uncomfortable sound.
"They don't seem yummy." The second head judged. The amphisbaena laughed, "Haha, bro, they are toys, toys are for playing purposes. Not for eating." AJ answered that while kicking a toy off his leg.
The unison voice suddenly came into his ears. Pleased? Of course, he was pleased with his work! Suffer? Why they are suffered? AJ couldn't get an answer for that. Anyway, as the boil saw the toys were attacking, he fought his way out while saving some others from suffocation. Does the human scarelings' toys all like that?
AJ nearly lost his balance when he punched another broken thing away and the ground shook. He heaved a sigh of relief. Losing balance might mean he fall over and rolled towards the bottom of the piles. The shake was more like steps, coming nearly with the companion of absconding toys and their screeches. In a little, he knew the reason as the toys all scream "THE FURNACE KING" at the enormous figure. As his name suggested, he started to burn out the misfit.
Misfit?
He and other students would tell who was really the misfit.

The more they attacked, the angrier the furnace king seemed to get. As the giant construct stomped in their direction, Thackery hastily scooped up a vaguely bearlike creature with rainbow frills around its neck, saving it from the path of the king's destruction. It graciously thanked him by gnawing on one of his keys.
"At least stop smashing everything!" he cried, taking a step towards the metallic enemy to strike it with his free hand. The king preemptively retaliated, filling the air around him with steam that stung at the Cerberus' eyes.
He yelped, rubbing at his face, and blindly swung in the direction he thought the king had gone, just barely scraping his fist against the metal.

Both Mei and Ren would receive a pitiful, yet muffled whine like noise into the stuffed animals. He didn't want to get up again, he didn't want to fight. He had had enough of it all.
"I'm done, I don't wanna' be bad anymore..." Now he looked up at the other two a hopeful look on his face. "Do you think the elves would accept me? I can make lots of good stuffies. Better than these."
Oh yeah, he'd lost it.

Tybalt only received a small bop on the back of his head before the doll was off and attacking the furnace king again. Though, part of her wanted to go back and rest on the giant plushie pile as well.
Bringing her hands to shield her face as she drew closer to the boss, Mei dropped them again to strike a third blow to the creature. Ugh! She hated this! She felt like this things heat was going to burn her just from standing next to it!
