"You didn't say those things in jest?" Victoria asked with a quiet little gasp, turning her head to look at the boil as he ushered her towards the store; frankly, she didn't know where to start! All these shops... So many shops! More shops than there were at her old town!
"But I usually make my gifts by hand," She explained, looking worried, "I don't know what to buy..."

Muka snickered and bobbled his head. "I never jest about shopping." He craned his neck just a tad to look at the store fronts. She came from a home for ghouls, yes? With a guiding hand on the center of the ghost's back he led her down the row towards 'ESMERELDA'S' a fairly inexpensive shop full of ghouly things like nail varnish, makeup, hair things, purses, and all manner of accessories. Next door was Bloodbath and Beyond, the smells of scented candles and body spray already permeating the hallway. Next door to that were the familiar scandalous frills of Frederick's of Amityville fancy undergarments. Now those caused Muka's eyes to wander as he wondered if Needle would wear anything so.... COUGH. Back on task. "I'm sure we can find something. I bet there is an equivalent to your homemade gifts in these stores." Muka giggled again. "Won't they be surprised to get gifts from you?"

Victoria was taking in all the sights, sounds, and smells like a sponge absorbing water; she doubted that they would be able to explore the whole Maul in a single day, especially since it seemed to be especially packed for the holidays.
The shop 'ESMERELDA'S' caught her attention straight away, since it contained items that were useful - she would sure that her sisters back home would appreciate some new accessories for their hair! Although the other shop smelt lovely, she wasn't sure how buying perfume or soap would be practical... And getting someone else a pair of unmentionables was just unheard of!
"Very surprised, I'm sure!" She replied, pressing her hands up against the glass window of the shop to take a better look at the inside, "Will you be getting your ghoulfriend something, Sir Muka?" She was sure that he mentioned that he had a ghoulfriend in the ghost dorms during their very first meeting.

"Perhaps.. perhaps.." His eyes drifted back towards the lingerie store. There was a thin line of propriety with Muka but he'd learned about what was appropriate and what was not since coming to the school. Victoria seemed young and perhaps discussing what lingerie his ghoulfriend might like, was a bad idea. Instead he looked back to the accessory store. "Perhaps some hair ribbons. She usually wears it down." Or a nice new brush. Or perhaps a bit of a scent of a some kind. "Come along!" He grinned and headed through the door with her. "And how about the head of your home? What was her name?" He'd forgotten but assumed she was more woman than ghoul. "Will you get her something special?"

"That's a lovely gift idea, Sir Muka," Victoria nodded, looking at the accessory shop; she was excited to get started, but she didn't want to spend too much...
"Matron?" She paused, deep in thought, "Matron has everything... It is difficult to find a gift for an adult who has all that she needs. Normally, we would all chip in to make her a card, to show our appreciation. Perhaps I could make her a card on my own?"

"Oh!" Muka wasn't very crafty. He'd even tried once, with the crafts club, but it hadn't been compatible with him. "That sounds good. Perhaps you can get the materials while we are here at the maul." His stomach made a sound and the strix giggled. "Perhaps you can make her some holiday spookies?" Perhaps Muka could also partake in such goodies >.> "Made by you and still a present!" Inside the accessory store there were just racks upon racks of glittering little ghouly things. Hair decorations, earrings, necklaces and rings. Silver etched with spiderwebs and skulls, glittering with faux gemstones that caught the eye enough for patrons to forget that they weren't even real jewels. The strix liked shiny things but soft fabrics were more his ghoulfriend's style. He gravitated to racks of ribbons and soft looking scarves. He also kept an eye on Victoria. If she expressed interest in any particular item, he was probably going to sneakily buy it for her.

"That I can," Victoria agreed with a nod, looking startled when Muka's stomach started to growl, "Are you hungry, Sir Muka? We could get some food first, if you like? I do not know how long I will take... Oh, I could gift you some spookies if you like! Homemade, and using Matron's very own sugar spookies recipe."
Learning to bake was enjoyable, even if eating wasn't a necessity for a ghost such as herself.
For now, she looked at the endless number of accessories and materials, awestruck at the variety of items being sold in this one shop. Although she tried not to, she couldn't resist checking out the price of every item first, mentally grouping them into 'reasonable' and 'expensive'. Everything under 'expensive' was immediately struck off her list of possible things to buy; even if she wasn't using her own seeds, she did not want to spend too much of Muka's money.
Even as she browsed the store, Victoria made sure to stay closeto Muka so that there was no way for them to get separated. Although she considered herself old enough to take care of herself, she would hate to be lost in a place as big as this.
