My Precioussssss!

Name: Corvin Monrey (M), Domitia Monrey (F)

Name Meaning: White Castle (M), To tame (F)

Temper: Resolute

Personality: (Going with a girl for the use of personality and prompt!)

Tia is very passionate about her family history. She likes to poke her nose in to just about every-bodies business. Asking them their opinions on anything she can see or things of a more in-depth serious nature;what they did when they were younger, how they made use of their life... The list goes on and on and usually depends on what road her train of thought is taking. She likes to impress others, finding attention a worthy cause to work for, so tries to partake in anything that she believes will gain her some well deserved praise. This, she would break her back for and puts all her effort and might in to finding achievement at the end of it.

Often, she portrays herself as special. She feels special and ultimately will push her own elite opinion of herself on others until they agree and see that of her. Although most of the time it isn't the good special they find themselves thinking. She likes to pull a lot of unusual faces to reflect her mood, telling a story like a book with each passing one. Her actions can give them away too, especially her temper. Tia isn't afraid to show someone she can be mean when she feels badly done to, a swift kick or even more doing the trick. God help anyone she holds a grudge on.

She finds her main interest lays in the heart of strange devices, trinkets and inventions. All the oddities the world has to offer she is rather accepting of. Inheriting this overwhelming need from her grandfather, she puts most of her time and effort in to learning from him the techniques and eagerly awaiting the next challenge he presents to her so she can one day help others in the same way he does.

Do you Like to RP?:I love to RP! I especially love heartland plots, which is why I couldn't resist entering. Having been involved with the Mafia herd and the Amusement Park herd (Blood Dupre & Boris Airay) it's hard to tear yourself away it's so much fun.

Plots:

Annoying children?
We shall see. Tia will press her family members (Hopefully her mother & or father) with many questions. Continuing to pry for details which are not really any of her business but she can't help herself, she wants to know everything and what defined the meaning of life for them.

I'm SPECIAL not STRANGE
Meeting another foal, she will put her personality traits to use. Bigging herself up to be some kind of queen figure. When the foal gives her some blunt remarks, she will set on them like a rabid monkey and then torment them with her opinions on life on death, questioning them about what makes them special.

Rise My Glorious Creation Riiiise
If at all possible, she would want some lessons from her Grandfather, teaching her the ways of his world and showing her the dedication and passion that is required to do the work that he does.

Abusing the Inventor
In this plot she would come across an inventor who makes contraptions they believe haven't been done before. Challenging their capabilities, she will come up with ideas to see if they're worthy of such a trade and then, if they result in failure will have really gotten what she wanted. The opportunity to fix things. She will offer her services to them and work closely on seeing that their projects eventually become successful, not wanting to see their skills ignored or abused.

A Different Kind of Trinket
In this plot she will meet Boris Airay, who is adorned with many piercings. In such an adventure, one of his piercings will break and as he mourns over it she will provide her talents to 'improving' it, instead of simply putting it back to it's previous state. Wanting to impress the cheshire.

On The Blink
Captured by the mafia? God help the poor soul. Seeing she is related to the famous Monrey line, chances are that the leader will find her skill set very valuable and capture her to put them to use. Making her one of his lackies.

Time is of the Essence
The Hatter and his soon-to-be queen are having a wedding, everybody is going to be invited. Leading up to that, the bride is having a very decorative outfit made for her. Tia seeing that she doesn't have a clock would go crazy about her missing this aspect of her bridal wear, telling her the stories of the plain and what happens if you don't have a clock made for you.

Prompt Response:{ 6) Your grandfather (Julius Monrey) has shown up unexpectedly and is asking you all sorts of strange questions. He wants to know what your thoughts on death and the afterlife are. If you are handy with tools and if you are good at fixing things. If you show promise he asks you to join him as his apprentice, will you accept this family duty or are you called in a different direction? }

Time? What was time? Is time? Can you eat time? Can you smell or see time? Is it just what an object, such as a clock depicts time? Says it is a number or the counting of seasons? Or is time presented by the wrinkles on Grandfathers face? Domitia chuckled at her ponders over time and space. Her grandfather had come to visit, asking all these strange questions about death and what happens after death. She believed that there was a plain, where everybody walked and continued to walk, waiting for their second chance. There was nothing but a line of soquili trying to find their door and presented the clock of life.

Restarted, like a hour glass had been turned and eventually when the sand had emptied from the top in to the bottom, life ended once more and would you look at that! They were back walking the plain again. Twisting her head at the small, round object that had been placed before her she gave a smile. She had been given a task, or a challenge of sorts;one that she had been more than excited to take on board. He had left her a clock, giving her the choice to follow in his foot steps. All she had to do was fix it. She was going to fix it! How?

She hadn't thought that far a head yet but she was going to.

Her big calculating eyes observed it. It was sad that it wasn't ticking. It brought a feeling of neglect to the beat of her heart, or the ticking of it. She was surrounded by ticking, so not hearing the clock speak was as if it was dead. Her father wore a clock, her grandfather wore a clock. The only one who didn't have a clock was mummy, instead she had this beautiful sound singing in to your ear when near her. The beat of a heart. It was comforting and it made the world feel so alive. Associating that with the ticking, was the same thing. A beat or a tick, it didn't matter. They were both on-going and they both ran out of juice. So life and death, were one in the same.

Fixing the clock meant that she would bring it back to life, she even believed it may lead someone from the plain to their door and when it worked again, their life would be restored. Wiggling her tail, she looked about her surroundings. Tools, she needed tools. Her grandfather always had tools and that was the key to his success. The magic tools, is what she referred to them as. How was she going to obtain them? This had her expression doing back-flips. One moment it was a grin reaching from ear to ear, the next lips were pursed and eyebrows were raised, then they were at the side of her mouth with just one eyebrow twitching. Her brain hurt so much she feared it was going to pop a cork.

Back to Grandfather again. By golly-gosh she got it! She would go collect his tools, borrow them... Just for a little while till she succeeded and then place them back, like they had been there all a long.

A frown of dissapointment swept her features. How was she going to do that when he always CARRIED THEM WITH HIM. "UGH!" She let out in frustration. That's it, she was going to collect a rock or two and a tiny twig. She could of asked for them and she assumed that he wouldn't mind if she did for the fact she was taking so much of an interest but she was too proud to let that happen. It meant in some simpleton way that she was admitting defeat and that, wasn't going to happen.

"It's always the hard way!" She sighed, puffing her chest up and throwing her head up high she marched on towards the forest to get her tinkering items.

A stick, she needed a stick. She looked down at the twig still attached to it's body;a branch. Nothing was ever easy, was it? That must of been why it was always the hard way. Not to worry, she could do it. Tia grabbed a hold of the branch with her teeth, pushing on it with her right front hoof as she pulled backwards. She hadn't predicted what could of gone wrong. Losing grip, she could only watch on wide eyes as the branch rebeled against her actions, swung forward and then back at her. Slapping her in the face, she flew backwards in a roll.

"AH! FJSJHBSJHZ|!"

Her nose was now a nice, tanned swelled up tomato shape. She wasn't happy and showed that branch what happens when she got angry. Getting in to a scrap with it, she jumped and tackled and lunged until finally victory was hers.

"AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MESS WITH DOMITIA MONREY!" She stood proud, pulling a 'victory' pose before continuing. "Let that be a lesson to all your friends!" As if it was listening, or even had a mind of it's own. Plus it was already dead, she just snapped and killed it.

On with the show. Next was the rocks and they were the easiest to find, they were everywhere. She obtained a large leaf from one of the overgrown bushes and placed her half-a-branch, rock and mushroom on to it ready to be carted back to her clock. Wait- a mushroom!? Where in the name of - had that come from. She instinctively pulled a face.

A mushroom? She casually shrugged. She SUPPOSED she may get hungry as she worked, so it wouldn't be unwelcome. "Hmm... Okay, back on track." She nodded, firmly. She found herself awkwardly stumbling back to the spot where she left the device and for what seemed like forever, stared at it. The tiny cogs of her mind working over time trying to think of where she was going to even begin going about it.

First off, she pushed open the casing with the tip of her hoof. Secondly, she broke off a finger from the branch and then began poking at the gears and the small, delicate ingredients that defined the workings of the clock. She did this like a lady, making use of a concentration face as she did so, squinting intensely at the small details. (Looking suspiciously like this). Midway through when she broke a sweat, she decided to take a break and eat that random mushroom that had found its way in to her collection of trinkets.

After a few hours, any who had caught a glimpse of her by this point would of thought she had a serious mental health problem, she was finished.

A bucket or two, filled with pennies or pounds! SHE HAD FIXED IT. The hand was moving again, making that sweet sound again. She had done it in style, like a boss and was now mulling over her work of art. It wasn't perfect but it was her achievement and with glistening hope of praise, she picked it up and rushed off to find her Grandfather.

Anything else?

My Precioussssss!

Name: Chasy Monrey {F} // Chas Monrey {M}

Name Meaning: Chasy {Russian for 'Clock'} // Chas {Russian for 'Hour'}

Temper: Curious {F} // Analytical {M}

Personality: {Personality will differ depending on gender}

Chasy → Chasy enjoys tinkering and technology much like her father. Rather than focus on the study of it, she loves putting random things together to create new objects. An inventor of sorts, she looks at everything around her as a potential experiment, and she looks upon her father with great reverence for his work. Outside of tinkering with treasures, Chasy is naturally inquisitive and that tends to get her into trouble. She speaks her mind like her mother and is rather blunt. Because of this, she tends to keep to herself and her family more, and doesn't enjoy social interactions with those that aren't knowledgeable and don't appreciate her work.

Chas → Chas looks at everything in life with a knowledgeable eye. He's quite smart - and he knows it. Though it may seem like arrogance to others, Chas simply doesn't know how to translate his intellect into appropriate methods of communication. He is adorably awkward, stumbling over his words frequently when speaking to others as to try not to offend them with words they may not understand. This tends to bite him in the butt since other soquili believe he is making fun of them. He's not extremely interested in technology, but humors his father's love of it. Chas would much rather analyze other things in life.

Do you Like to RP?: Yes, it's actually one of the things that lead me to the B/C shop forum! I haven't had the chance to accumulate any RP in Soquili, but I'm working on changing that (:.

Plots: Everything from basic family interaction/friendly meetings to in depth multi-plots would be in Chasy/Chas's future. Which way it would go would ultimately depend on gender. However, regardless of gender, I'd love for Chasy/Chas to meet their grandfather eventually. I can see them taking an intellectual interest in his secret side job.

Potential Chasy Plots
01. Metal in my Blood
Chasy discovers her love of all things metallic, which leads to her beginning as a tinkerer. She finds some spare metal parts and puts together a small sculpture of sorts to show to her father.
02. Knowledge in my Brain
A continuation of the first plot, in which Chasy asks her father to tell her more about their family and how he got interested in these sorts of things.
03. Tick-Tock Goes the Clock
This would be later down the road, when Chasy, despite her aversion to socializing, feels the ticking of her internal clock and the urge to have foals. She'd most likely speak to her mother about this and seek advice. I'd like to have a potential suitor picked out with some friendly/cutely romantic plots already done before this one comes about for the inevitable lifemating.

{ Note - If female, I'm definitely planning on incorporating the flock into her plots somehow. Not being the typical female, she may be cautious to seek them out, but it might do her good to have some female companionship }

Potential Chas Plots
01. Smarty Pants
As a foal, Chas is picked on by another foal for talking like he does. His siblings and/or another foal come to his aid. If a foal other than his siblings, this would be his first real friend. If it is his siblings, it'll strengthen family bonds.
02. Lonely Brainiac
Chas begins to notice that he lacks the normal amount of friends one should have (as he's observed in his research of the social structure of those around him) and begins to feel a strange sense of loneliness.
03. Fundamental Compatriots
A continuation of the plot before this, Chas has decided that to adequately understand those around him, he must develop bonds of friendship with others. So he sets off in his adorably awkward way to find himself friends.

{ Note - I can see Chas running into the flock at some point if it is meant to be. His socially awkward way of thinking/talking may get him into some interesting situations with them. }

Prompt Response: {Prompt 2 - Chasy}

Lost.

It was my luck of course. Mum always said curiosity killed the cat or something like that. My curiosity just loved to get the best of me. I truly couldn't help myself though. Not to sound incredibly stupid, but, I saw something shiny! This lead me here - to the woods - and somewhere in between finding a shiny metal object and noticing more along the treeline, I got lost. Now I was staying in one place to avoid getting more lost.

I sighed while stepping over a fallen tree branch and resuming my pacing. Hopefully my parents or siblings would notice my absence soon. I had a lot to show my father - a whole lot of shiny things! I looked down fondly at the small pile of glistening metal I had collected. Bronze, silver, and gold pieces twinkled up at me. Oh yes, this was a bounty! Already, thoughts of what my father and I could make were twirling around in a scientific dance in my mind.

My mind's burst of ideas ground to a halt when the familiar tinkling noise of my father's clock moving against him reached my perked ears. My head shot up as a grin spread across my face. I could see my dad's frenzied and worried look as he drew closer, slowing from a run to a walk.

"Dad you found me!" I exclaimed. I hopped from hoof to hoof and nosed the pile of shining metal in his direction. "Look what I found for you!"

Yes, it was definitely worth getting lost to see the worried look on my father's face melt into a look of happiness.

Anything else?
Thank you very much for the opportunity to join the family! (:

My Precioussssss!

Name: Konani Monrey {genderless}

Name Meaning: Bright

Temper: Precise

Personality: Konani loves to think, to reason, to indulge in logic. And every action is taken after consideration and is enacted with exacting patience and precision. Loving to learn, to observe, Konani will often stand still, watching, before interacting. The raw logic with which everything is approached can be frustrating for those interacting with Konani. But Konani is interested in sharing reason and will often try to persuade others to see 'reason'.

Konani has a hard time understanding morals and affection. But loyalty is something that seems to be a logical, survival imperative. And though Konani can be appalled by the illogical choices of those with whom there is a feeling of loyalty, Konani will always strive to help when there is trouble.

Do you Like to RP?: I love RP. I don't always seek it out or start it, but I always tag as soon as I am able and am quick to agree to interactions. I love developing personality and relationships.

Plots: I like being open to what comes. Seeing someone else's needs and figuring out how my ponies can interact with those needs instead of having a structure that I must meet before I can move forward with the development of my characters. I like a more organic and evolving feel. That isn't to say I don't have things I would like to play, just that I don't nail down ideas. I would love to interact with the family, to meet new soq, to find someone to challenge Konani's preconceived notions of love and affection . . . all kinds of things. But nothing specific.

Prompt Response: {3 - I'm going to try and touch on elements from the various prompts, but do something that isn't directed at any one - so 3 works best.}

Konani had heard the stories of the Flock. It sounded . . . confusing. In some ways there was great logic in the idea, but many of the things seemed to defy logic. Konani knows that mother seems to be torn in her desire to stay with father and her desire to return to the Flock. And that choice was touched with more emotion than reason.

It was something Konani couldn't understand. After all, it did not matter the reasons, it was important to help and support those that were a part of your life. Survival dictated that each individual work together to ensure the survival of all. But mother had left the Flock. And now that she was a part of a new family, she did not know if she would return to her previous group or stay with the new one.

Konani walked while thinking. It was easy to lose oneself in the woods, to be beyond the sight and easy call of the others. The peace of it, the isolation, was useful when contemplating things.

But the silence of the forest was broken. It was not bird song, nor insect buzzing that disturbed the peace of the ancient trees. Konani's ears swiveled towards the strange crying call.

Someone, or something, was hurt. The sounds of distress were obvious. The curiosity that kept Konani searching for knowledge sometimes bucked against logic. It was logical to stay away from the sounds of danger. But no knowledge could be gained in that way. And perhaps there was something Konani could do to give aid. Perhaps it was even someone known and the aid would help maintain the social structure Konani depends upon.

So, with a shake of head to dismiss the mental argument, Konani heads towards the sounds.

The sounds were fading, the strength of whatever made them waning. But Konani moved with precision and caution. A small clearing of trees revealed a pit with leaves scattered around the drop from which the cries were coming.

Looking around to ensure there were no others, no other danger, Konani assessed the situation. Clearly whatever made the noise had fallen into the pit. From the look of the sheer sides, it had been dug. From the scattered branches and leaves, it had been concealed.

Finally deciding there was no other thread, Konani carefully walked towards the edge of the pit. Each hoof-step was carefully weighed and measured, ensuring it would support, before completed. Then the pit was there and Konani looked down into it.

What ever had dug this pit was hunting. The sharpened wood sticking up from the bottom of the pit impaled the usdia that had fallen into the trap. Light was fading from his eyes and his struggles had stopped, though Konani could see where trying to free himself had caused the wounds to tear and expand.

There was a strange stillness, and expectation. Konani had often seen father fix things. But fixing a mechanical device was not the same as fixing a living being. The blood sluggishly continued to pulse from the heaving sides of the mini stallion. And Konani felt a pull, as though there was something which should be done, something Konani could do.

With a shake of the head, Konani stepped back from the edge of the pit. There was nothing that could be done. The usdia's life could not be saved, the wounds were too great, the blood loss to much. And to try would be a risk of life that was not reasonable.

There was nothing else Konani knew to do for the small stallion. But the snap of a twig as something approached from the woods snapped Konani's attention away from the pit. The stallion that approached was known to Konani, though not well.

Grandfather.

He moved to the edge of the pit and began . . . Konani did not understand what he was doing. But whatever it was seemed to ease the expectation, the need from the air. The usdia was dead, but somehow grandfather's work did something to change . . . something. There was no logic, no understanding, only an instinctive knowledge.

But without that pressing need, that strange urge, Konani could think clearly again. Something had dug a pit, a pit large enough to trap and kill a soquili. Something was hunting. And this pit was far too close to Konani's family.

As grandfather finished, Konani began to look around the area, searching for clues as to the one which dug the pit. Looking for ways to spot any other pits, and for a way to find and stop who or whatever was trying to kill any who fell into the trap.

A silent presence stilled Konani. Grandfather stood near, looking at the foal who had wandered so far from the family. The stillness of the forest stretched between them. The awareness of the dead stallion in the pit a strange, unspoken tension.

Another shake of the head as Konani looked at grandfather. Something was wanted, was expected, was questioned. The eyes of grandfather reflected a weight that Konani could feel but not understand.

This day was already long, the thoughts already strange. But Konani could tell that whatever words were behind grandfather's still silence would only lead to deeper thoughts.

Anything else?So . . . I did my best to not indicate gender at all in the responses. It feels a bit contrived, but I hope it works. I really love both parents and would be thrilled to get a chance to be part of this family. Thank you for the opportunity.

My Precioussssss!

Name:
Mare: Victoria Monrey
Stallion: Victor Monrey

Name Meaning:
Though I am certain both of the names have some sort of meaning behind them that relates to the Victorian era that is not the rationale behind my choice. Upon reading of the plot featuring Julius I could not help but to think of Victor Frankenstein and decided that a character similar to him would mesh well with this family.

Temper:
Visionary

Personality:
(As the male, a few things would definitely change but I can fill in the holes should it be a female.)

Solitude and silence seem to bode quite well for Victor due to his unusual habit of vanishing for days on end in order to complete his latest project. It is not unusual for him to forgo food and drink in order to witness the fruition of his labor because when he starts something there is no stopping. He does not have time for the playfulness or wonderment of his siblings for his mind is always whirring with another outlandish idea. Even so, he does not entirely reject his family, his mother would never allow such insolence and his father goes along with the authority of his mother. This causes him a slight amount of distress for when he is being tugged away by his mother his inventions go untouched and incomplete. He manages to socialize with his family and there is no doubt that he does in fact love them, but due to his mother’s unusual view of males he often times feels as though he must prove himself to her in some grand manner. This could also explain his need to finish a project; his undeniable drive to complete something that will leave her awe struck so that she may see that he is not like the males she describes.

Aside from practicing his craft Victor also enjoys learning new things, delving into the philosophical side of life by contemplating nature’s most closely guarded secrets. That is why when his estranged grandfather presented himself Victor couldn’t help but to feel as though he had potentially found his calling. Not only did Julius pose the questions he wished to answer but he also was looking for an apprentice. Though this was great news to the youngster he also felt more pressure to prove himself lumped heavily upon his withers. Not only was he trying to prove himself to be worthy of his mother’s attentions and admiration, but also his grandfather.

This is where Victor developed the trait of being graceful under pressure. He does not often become overly stressed and when he does he knows to walk away and attempt to cool down outside of the notice of others. He is far from perfect though and he knows it. His mother loves him no matter what but he cannot help but want to show her that there is more to him than meets the eye. And though at times he wonders about his father’s intellect he knows that they could contemplate complicated issues together. There is just something about figuring things out on his own and striving to push past the boundaries that his nature provided him that causes him to continue on as he does.

Do you Like to RP?:
-Puts on boxing gloves and jumps around- Alright Nakita, let us dance, you and I! Just a funny image that somehow managed to worm its way into my thoughts. Anyways, I do in fact LOVE to rp but especially when it comes to working out complex and lengthy family plots. I enjoy all sorts of twists an turns that make things a little more interesting. Anyways, as far as time goes, I will be going on winter break rather soon and shall have more time to devote to this little lad or lass which makes for an exciting thing. And next semester I shouldn't be so bogged down with practicums and the like. Anyway, in a round about manner I am attempting to say that I am dedicated and quite enjoy rping.

Plots:

Big Questions: In this plot it would seem fitting for little Victor or Victoria to ask one of their family members a complex question which they would be unable to answer. This would be the beginning of his/her quest to delve into the unknown.

Some things are Left Better Unsaid: (This would be a male specific plot.) This plot would be the first instance of Victor hearing his mother voice her opinion of males, and perhaps she words it in a way so that he misunderstands thereby launching him into his objective of proving himself to her.

Not all Questions have Answers: Though this soquili has an insatiable apetite for knowledge there really are questions out there with no difinitive answer. Perhaps when he/she is speaking to someone about their latest pursuit this conversation can come to light. This will instantly cause Victor/Victoria to become defensive.

The turning point...

Grandfather: It seems that Julius has decided to grace the family with his presence and is in need of an apprentice. While his/her siblings may display an interest, Victor/Victoria decide that this is their calling. This can lead into future plots with Julius.

Father: As Victor/Victoria is attempting to prove themself to their granfather it only seems fitting that they have a conversation with their father about why Julius took no interest in him. Could cause a little family drama depending on which way the conversation goes.

There is more...: Simply seeking question after question to answer is not all there is to life. It would seem fitting to have his maternal grandfather Wystan explain this to him due to his fascination with detective work. Victor/Victoria may not listen or it could turn out to be a lesson of value.

The Value of Friendship: Though Victor/Victoria is a rather unusual sort I think it would be beneficial for them to have a close friend who has been by their side through it all. Someone who doesn't mind being neglected every so often while this soquili is off experimenting. This could possibly develope into a future plot where the friend attempts to convince Victor/Victoria to put the experiments aside for a time so that they may learn what living actually is.

Prompt Response:

Your grandfather (Julius Monrey) has shown up unexpectedly and is asking you all sorts of strange questions. He wants to know what your thoughts on death and the afterlife are. If you are handy with tools and if you are good at fixing things. If you show promise he asks you to join him as his apprentice, will you accept this family duty or are you called in a different direction?

The tension filling the air grew thick enough to bite into as Cyrus and Julius stood rigid, their eyes fixed upon one another and revealing an internal battle waging within each of them. Victor could only imagine the type of feelings washing over the two stallions for he had only heard a portion of the story behind his estranged grandfather’s place within the family. He momentarily looked from one to the other before Julius’ eyes met his own. Glancing at his father from the corner of his eye he appeared to be silently asking for permission to approach the strange stallion. He had become intrigued because, of the stories he had heard about Julius, he also enjoyed inventing things. From Cyrus came a hesitant nod and from that small signal Victor was set in motion.

Upon reaching Julius he got the impression that he was being inspected as one would inspect the quality of the material they were about to incorporate into their next invention. Squaring his jaw and straightening his shoulders he attempted to reveal his worth. Proving himself had always been something that Victor was obsessed with, regardless of who was interested. His posture was broken only by his grandfather’s question regarding his name.

“Victor.” He responded simply, not desiring to mince words with a heavy introduction.

A moment of silence passed between the two before Julius made a noncommittal noise alerting Victor to the fact that he had passed the first test. The entire spectacle was rather awkward but that is to be expected when two blood relatives who have never met one another came together for the first time. Victor found himself bursting at the seams with questions and thoughts as Julius began to walk a circle about him. Why did you reject my father? Why have you come? I have heard you are an inventor, I am as well. His musings were promptly interrupted as Julius again began to speak.

“What are your thoughts on death?”

The question caused Victor to slowly turn his head so that he was facing Julius who had come to a stop beside his shoulder. It was a rather strange question to ask someone whom you had only just met but it sent tingles up and down his spine none the less. He had recently been reflecting on death, ever since witnessing a butterfly being drained of life by a spider. What was death? Could it be avoided? Why does it occur violently for some and peacefully for others? His mind began buzzing and he could almost physically see the questions passing before his eyes.

“Plenty.” Was the only answer he could come up with without launching into some long winded explanation.

His grandfather allowed for what seemed like a deep throated chuckle before shaking his head and repeating the question. With that Victor closed his eyes, feeling all at once grateful that someone wished to hear his opinions or questions but at the same time skeptical.

“I want to know why it occurs, what drives it and whether or not it can be stopped. I want to know why it is violent yet peaceful at the same time. But mostly I just want to know what it is.” Clearing his throat he continued. “I know it is the end of someone’s life but there must be more to it than that. I have heard of it as being some sort of divine deliverance but I am not quite sure I believe in that.”

Julius raised a brow and instantly Victor knew he had said something that his grandfather either was intrigued about or insulted by. Deciding that he had come to a good stopping point he closed his mouth and refused to speak more on the matter. In truth, he just hadn’t learned much about it and wished to dig deeper into the illusive subject matter floating around the concept of death.

“Do you not believe in an afterlife?” His grandfather enquired.

At this Victor had to hesitate a moment and allow for his questions and thoughts to whizz around until they formed a coherent answer.

“I don’t know.”

Though Victor took pride in his intelligence there were things he would admit to knowing nothing about. He knew that if he pretended to be an expert on the matter it would only make him look more foolish if the other soquili saw right through it. It would take further research and thought in order for him to reach such a monumental conclusion.

He became a bit distraught as his grandfather turned his back and began to tread in the other direction, instantly jumping to the conclusion that he had failed to impress. Lowering his head he clenched his teeth and reprimanded himself for not having been more researched in this particular field. Why had he not spent more time thinking on death or an afterlife? It was a large question that was deserving of his scrutiny yet he had allowed it to slip by for this long.

“I am in the market for a good apprentice, if one can impress me.”

He looked up as his grandfather turned and spoke over his shoulder, was that a subtle suggestion? Giving a curt nod Victor watched his grandfather vanish just as he had come, a new sense of urgency burning within his chest. Had he found someone who knew the answers? Or could his grandfather possibly have an interest in researching with him? Either way he felt as though his calling had reached him in the guise of an estranged relative. Inventions and questions, seemed like a good enough reason to impress anyone.

Anything else?
As far as the personality hole goes for the female I would suggest that her desire to prove herself so strongly is also due to her mother, but for an entirely different reason. Victoria would not likely be invested in physical strength so when it comes to a strong mare like her mother she would have to use the qualities she had to impress her. Harpy's have a very high opinon of their sisterhood and so Victoria would want to be categorized in that manner by her mother.
I would definitely like to get together with the family in order to come up with more plots. Those are just a few off the top of my head but if there could be more in depth ones I would be excited. Also, I have a theme song for this soquili that I found quite fitting.

Thank you for the chance to become a part of the hearts/clock family!

My Precioussssss!

Name: Cagliostro Monrey (male) / Clarisse Monrey (female) / Basil Monrey (alternative male name, may decide when basket pops)

Name Meaning: The 1979(!) film Castle of Cagliostro was the directorial debut of Hayao Miyazaki. It featured a scene of Lupin (a gentleman thief) being chased into a clock tower - a scene that became rather famous to animation buffs and inspired the climax of the Disney film The Great Mouse Detective, which was of course based off the Sherlock Holmes tales.

Since the parentage includes nobility, great detectives, and clocks - I thought names that had a subtle homage to Castle of Cagliostro would be fitting. Cagliostro is the name of the Grand Duchy the film takes place in, and Clarisse is the name of the Princess of the namesake castle.

Basil is the name of the Sherlock mouse character in The Great Mouse Detective.

This names are homages only, and not meant to be cosplays or characters based off the characters in the movie at all.

Temper: Enterprising

Personality: (going to refer to the foal as male, but everything could transfer over either way) Cagliostro has inquisition and waderlust deep in his veins. He is always striving for both perfection and adventure: he's never content to just abide by the status quo. Though he's got a bad case of "the grass is always greener on the side" he isn't mopey or depressed - quite the opposite he's always looking forward to the next bigger and better thing. He's alive with a passion and adventurelust that keeps him in high spirits and fosters a healthy imagination.

Do you Like to RP?: I love it, especially plotting. I've been a regular in the Soquili shop since 2005 and I don't plan on going anywhere.

Plots: To be honest i've never been too fond of overly plotting a head of time - part of the thrill and excitement of roleplaying is reacting to whatever is thrown at them, instead of just having a narrative to follow. But that being said there are certainly things I definitely want to see happen over the course of his life:

- Encountering as many different herds as possible- Cagliostro would always be striving to find the perfect herd/location. But as soon as he would join and settle in...he's begin to feel restless again. He would hold no ill-will to any of his ex-herdmates and would always leave with the good-hearted intention of coming back one day, but his wanderlust would overcome him as he'd go off looking for the next great thing.

- Collector of trinkets - he would always be fascinated with the culture of wherever he ended up, especially any trinkets or gadgets. Even if he would move on, he would always want to keep momentos of his past adventures

- "Mid Life Crises" - at some point in his life - Cagliostro would probably realize that his life of wander and adventure has left him without anyone to call his own. Overcome with loneliness, he would probably make a great pilgrimage home and vow to settle down and go back to his roots. Will it stick? I'm not sure yet...

Prompt Response: { 2) One day you find yourself away from your mother and father, as you keep walking you find yourself in the deep woods. What do you do? Go home? Or continue to explore? If so what do you find?}

SNAP!

Cagliostro jumped as the twig snapped under the weight of his own hoof. He gave a sigh and shook out his short colt mane, steadying himself. The woods were dark and he couldn't deny he was frightened - he had never been this far away from his parents or out this late...

...but it was too late to go back now. He knew he should turn back like his siblings did half an hour ago but yet, it was like he was being summoned further and further into the twisted, dark forest. His fear was real, and quite possibly justified, but the shivers down his spine seemed to electrify him. The mawing darkness of the game trail ahead of him - while ominous - held unknown treasures and adventure. He felt himself drawn to it - his fear not causing him to turn tail and run, but instead seemed to be pushing forward as the adrenaline in his blood pumped furiously through his veins.

Things moved, unseen, around him the thick underbrush. Snakes? Deer? Skinwalkers? His ears were perched high on his head, swiveling at every rustle and pop. His eyes were wide, taking in every elusive moonbeam as it danced through the branches of the trees, trying to catch a glimpse of something - anything - that would allow him to return him in the morning triumphant!

His steps were cautious but steady. A chorus of insects and tree frogs swelled his drive as the darkness passed from being terrifying to comforting. It was like a cloak of confidence draped around him, cradling him in a (false?) sense of security as he moved forward. A rush a movement - a crash through the bushes and a high-pitched squeal exploded to his left as an owl swooped just inches above his head to snatch a mouse or shrew from the thick forest floor. He could help but smile in awe as the owl passed silently into the inky night and disappeared into the canopy as fast as she had appeared.

He pushed forward, breaking through a thicket of trees and toppled flank over hoof into the grassy clearing near the lake. Gathering his senses, he looked around to regain his footing. He knew this place... but he never never been here so late. His heart swelled as he looked around: the meadow was alive with the dancing flicker of fireflies. He had never seen anything so beautiful in his life! He got to his hooves and bounded through the wide open area, laughing in pure delight as the little pulsing insects undulated around him.

It had all been worth it. Fear was nothing to this little colt anymore - just motivation to see what lied ahead.

Anything else?

I RP'd the foal as male, but if the baby ended up female the decision to go to the Flock would play a major role in her life. As a male, I don't know if he would quite see the appeal of how males are treated in the flock - feeling as though his independence would be stifled. But the grand stories told by the mother would cause a great dilemma with a female foal. She would be torn between exploring the Flock or moving on to other things. She may follow in her mother's footsteps and join for a while, then end up leaving to explore the world (probably with honest plans to return one day that may or may not be fulfilled).

My Precioussssss!

Name: KitaKaze Monrey

Name Meaning: North Wind

Temper: Sassy

Personality: This little one is Sassy. He/She is headstrong like their mother. Once their mind is set then nothing stops them from doing whatever it is their mind is set on. This little one will love to travel and dreams to see the world. The stories of the flock made this little one wanna stay out of it and to live free. Though the flock sounds nice. This hard headed one made it's mind to live outside of it and abide by it's own rules.

Do you Like to RP?: Yes I do

Plots: I can think of some. But Yes I plot and all but love to RP off the top of my head better.

Prompt Response:{ 1) As you go to bed each night your mother tells you tales about the Flock, do they seem too good to be true? Do they inspire in you a sense of adventure? Do you wish you join the Flock when you are older, or explore the world? }

KitaKaze has grown up loving the stories of the flock. But the rules and guildlines of it make KitaKaze think that life with one's own personal rules is all one should need to find their own happiness. So setting KitaKaze's own mind to explore the world first before ever thinking about joining the flock. After all it is important for one to follow their heart and dreams before living by someone else's rules and laws.

But hearing mother talk so lovingly about the flock. KitaKaze feels that while traveling the world KitaKaze should ask about the flock and learn even more about it. Feeling that following KitaKaze's own dreams first might be letting mother down a bit. But one's heart can't be happy if it isn't free first.

Anything else?Thank you for the chance to join this pretty family.

My Precioussssss!

Name: Male: Cato Monrey Female: Valdis Monrey

Name Meaning: Cato - Roman Latin name meaning "all-knowing, wise."
Valdis - Swedish and Norwegian form of Old Norse Valdís, meaning "goddess of the slain in battle." (A small throwback to her grandfather)

Temper: Secretive (personality for both genders)

(I will be using the female perspective from here out)
Personality: At first glance, Valdis appears to be a quiet and aloof filly. She doesn't particularly like to socialize or waste time. Instead, she feels that her life should be devoted to Science and research. Most of the time Valdis can be found examining some specimen or other and collecting as much mental data and knowledge as she can.

To most, Valdis is very secretive and guarded. The filly prefers peace and quiet and to be left alone, although on occasion she make seek out others for help with her expirements or to dig up vital information. However, despite her lack of socialization, Valdis does enjoy the company of her close friends and family and even delights in sharing her information.

While Valdis might seem (and very well may be) aloof, work-oriented, and controlling, she is also quite imaginative. After all, it certainly takes a broad imagination to come up with the best experiments and to reach potential conclusions.

As a very young filly, Vardis will be fairly energetic and high spirited, but after being taunted by a couple of her peers, she becomes closed off. If she can find the right person to bring this back out of her as an adult, she could once again become this energetic mare.
Do you Like to RP?: Of course! I've been busy lately and haven't had much time but I'm slowly working back into it and I'm quite easy to get a hold of.

Plots:

Phobias and Fears: Valdis has a deathly fear of heights. I would very much like to develop this fear within her. Perhaps it could be that as a young filly she got into an accident that caused this phobia to be blown out of control or maybe she has heard certain stories from a sibling or friend?

Not so 'Normal': As a foal, I would like for Valdis to be taunted by some of her peers for her quirky personality. I would imagine this to be where she fascinated by some odd and perhaps even dead or disgusting creature. At such a young age she would be excited to share her research with the other foals and be mocked for it. After this incident the filly would learn to keep her information to herself and slowly become more and more secretive and reclusive. (see prompt response)

Overcome your fears: As an adult, I would like Valdis to finally overcome her fear of heights and be able to fly. Up until now it would have hindered her research and, potentially, her general happiness. Perhaps a friend or even a future mate could help her with this issue. It would definitely need to be someone that she trusted more than anything and would take some time for her to learn that she will be ok.

It's Okay to Relax: As an adult I would love for Valdis to find some sort of companion, love interest, or best friend. Someone who could crack her tough exterior and show her a good time and that it's okay to relax and have a little bit of fun.

Studying the Flock: Valdis doesn't particularly 'rank' males as beneath her. Rather, she doesn't particularly pay them much mind and in picking a mate, will likely end up lifemating as her mother has, but sees the scientific potential of of breeding with several different males as well. As a filly, she was told stories of the flock by her mother and has gained a bit of knowledge of it and is quite interested to study it. Valdis very likely wouldn't have any interest in staying with the flock, but would love to study the society for a short (or potentially long) period of time if permitted.

-May add more as I come up with them, plots tend to elude me when I want them and pop up at completely random times for the most random reasons.

Prompt Response:{ 3) Write about any situation that you want that involves the foal. It can be funny, serious, sad, etc. The outcome is up to you.} - This is going to be based off of my future plot idea Not so 'Normal'.

(This may get a little long, and for that I apologize. The extra foals are purely made up and not based off of any existing soquili.)

Vardis had left her family somewhat early that morning with her mother's permission. Up until recently, she hadn't been allowed to wander off very far without supervision, but today she would be joining two foals from a neighboring family and was excited to be able to go out and explore. It wasn't that she didn't like to be around her family, but there was only so much to research in such a small radius. By extending her area to roam, she extended her potential gain of knowledge!

Happily, the filly hummed to herself as she trotted along, taking in all of the sights that she could along the way. There off to the left was a monarch butterfly perched upon a rather common wildflower and up in the sky a hawk called out as it spotted it's prey. Normally, she would have stopped to study such creatures but today she was in far too much of a hurry and after a short amount of time, she came across her companions.

"Hi!" She called out excitedly and nervously to the two foals, a brother and a sister. "Where are we going today?" She couldn't wait to see what sort of places they would find on their journey.

"Well," Started Aiden, the older of the two. I suppose I could show you the forest. It's not too far from here and within your mother's boundaries. The colt then looked over to collect a nod from his sister Mya before starting forward along their journey.

'This sounds like fun!' Vardis thought to herself. 'I wonder what sort of things I might find in there? Perhaps some new species of bird or flower? Maybe I'll even get to study some new plant specimens as well!' Her head full of pleasant and scientific thoughts, the young filly followed the pair eagerly.

After a few minutes of pleasant silence, Vardis' thoughts were suddenly awoken as she bumped into Mya. "Oof! Oh my! I'm sorry!" She apologized to the filly as she scrambled to collect herself.

Taking in the view around her, she could see that they had finally come to, what Aiden called, a forest. Here the trees and brush were much thicker than anywhere else she had ever been and the smells were a little different as well. Not far from the trio, she could hear water flowing over rocks, likely a large stream or small river. Up above her in the canopy birds chirped and sang as they chattered to each other and below her squirrels and other creatures scurried about their business on the forest floor.

Vardis was awed by amount of life in this place, she had never seen so much activity in one area at once in her entire life. Although she supposed that this was the first time she had ever really been out and her own home wasn't nearly this interesting or this exciting.

"This place is amazing!" She whispered excitedly to her two companions, afraid to shout in such a surreal place. "I never could have dreamed of anything like this!"

Aiden gave her a rather odd look. "It's just a forest. Haven't you ever seen one before? No? I suppose not really. You have been rather... sheltered." His sister giggled a little at that but Vardis paid them no mind. Instead she was too intent on studying a species of moth that she had never seen before.

"Do you see the markings on this wing!?!" She exclaimed excitedly while the foals gave her puzzled looks. "I've never seen anything like it! Oh and this tree! I've never seen one of this species before either! Or if I have it certainly wasn't up close."

The filly continued on this way for a few more minutes as the brother and sister chattered quietly behind her. Likely they were discussing her odd behavior and possibly even making jests, but either Vardis didn't hear or didn't care. She was just about to make a comment on a particular species of flower that she had never seen before when she saw... it. It, was by far the most intriguing thing that she had ever seen in her whole life.

Intrigued, Vardis trotted over to a stump as quickly as she could. There, just behind the rotting wood, lay a dead crow. She wasn't sure how long it had been there or how it had died. In fact, she had never even seen a dead crow let alone a dead anything before. Oh so carefully, the filly stretched her neck as close to the crow as she could without touching it. The smell was somewhat nauseating but the cool breeze in the air helped to keep it in check. For that she was quite thankful. The crow lay with it's backside up and she carefully took her hoof and turned it over to examine it's front. As she turned it, she could see some sort of white creatures crawling on it. It appeared that these creatures were eating the flesh of the dead bird and she found this to be fascinating. It was the world's own way of recycling it'self. Eventually there would be nothing left of this creature except for feathers and bones which would then decompose into the ground over a vast amount of time and turn into soil. The soil would then produce new plants which new animals would eat and the process would start again.

Vardis was about to examine the crow's body closer and try to test a few theories when her companions came to see what she was doing.

"What do you have there?" Aiden asked curiously, attempting to peek over her shoulder.

"EEeeeewww!! It's DEAD!" His sister Mya shrieked as she got a glimpse of the crow. "Don't touch it!"

The filly looked up then, puzzled by the other's response. "Of course it's dead, and how can I examine it without touching it?" She asked the girl curiously.

By now Aiden had managed to glimpse the bird as well and came to stand in front of his sister as if shielding her. "You're a freak! Get away from my sister Freak!" The colt shouted at her as Mya took up the chant as well. "Freak! Freak! Vardis is a freak! Freak! Freak! Vardis is a Freak!"

As quickly as she could, Vardis scrambled away from the dead creature even though she was reluctant to stop studying it. She didn't understand why her companions were being so cruel to her. It was just a dead bird, it wasn't as if she was trying to eat it or anything! She had only wanted to study it. To learn from it as she had everything else. Why couldn't they see that? Why did they taunt her so.

"I only wanted to study it. You know, for research!" Vardis told them quickly, hoping that they would understand and see reason. That perhaps they would stop teasing her and allow her to examine the bird again. Instead it only proved to make the situation worse. Aiden and his sister Mya started kicking up dust and dirt at her, a few clots even hit her in the head and caused her eyes to swell with tears from the pain. Ashamed and embarrassed, Vardis started off towards home at a gallop.

She knew that her parents and her family understood and loved her. Why couldn't the other foals accept her. Perhaps that was simply society? Maybe she was just never meant to open up to others? That must be it. If she kept herself locked away and avoided socialization she would never have to hurt like this again. If not... well, there were bound to be more than just two foals calling her a freak.

Anything else? I absolutely love the idea of keeping Monrey as a last name in the family. Traditions are awesome!

Thank you so much for having this contest and the opportunity to try for a very lovely basket. I had a lot of fun writing out a response and coming up with ideas. Good luck judging!

My Precioussssss!

Name:
  • Male: Malchior Monrey
  • Female: Dareia Monrey

Name Meaning:
  • Male: (MAL kee or) - (Persian; 'king city', Hebrew; 'god is my light')
  • Female: (dah REY ah) - (Persian; 'maintain well' + 'possess and good')

Temper:
  • Male: Assiduous
  • Female: Avant-garde

Personality:
  • Male: Chior loves to learn new things. Even if he takes something on only for a day, Chior would be happy. He is not one of the types to excell in one thing, but would rather be able to do many things adequately. Some feel that it is not enough, but Chior doesn't believe that his intelligence is worthly of just one. If Chior has problems trying to complete something, he would not admit his defeat in any task, and more so would feel like the task rejected him or did not want to be done. He would both be persistent as well as stubborn Soquili.
  • Female: A quiet and spirited foal, Reia likes to keep to herself for the most part. It isn't that she's afraid, but sometimes just prefers being alone with her thoughts. Her attention is easily captured by something and then she would have ideas branching from that, like what she could possibly make from it, or more often what something can be used for. When Reia comes up with an idea, she's all giggles and would go straight to work making her ideas real. Reia has a keen memory despite seeming aloof to others.
  • For both: For either gender, the foal would have a love of tinkering with things. They would be able to fix things, but not just fix; they are compelled to add a little extra, whether it be making something work a little faster or slow, or adding an extra charm or two! They feel as though fixing things is nice, but adding a bit of their own flare is even better. It might not be enjoyed by everyone, but then you're at the wrong place!

Do you Like to RP?: Yup! Plots before RP though :3 Helps keep interest going and not just meet and greets!

Plots:
  • Learning from Grandfather: The foal would be most like their grandfather. I would like to see how the grandfather feels about the little one's additions as well as inventions. If male or female, it would be fun to RP how Julius feels about his grandchild's way of thinking.
  • Trips with Momma: For either gender, they would be interested in learning about the Flock and its practices. If a girl, they might want to join just to learn more about the artisans, but a little colt would probably feel like what he'd have to focus on would be too narrow.
  • Getting lost somewhere with the siblings: If female, she'd try her best to invent something and get them out of trouble. As for male, he'd have many ideas streaming in his head but end up getting them more lost than anything.
  • Relationship with Father: Reading his personality, it says that Cyrus has a hard time connecting with males, and it would be fun to see a persistent colt try to get in the good side of his papa. For a filly, she'd try to be daddy's little girl and see what things he'd do for her.
  • Ghosts: For either gender, they would either think they feel or see ghosts. Not deciding as of now, but they'd experience this and wonder if it was something they would accept or reject. Of accept, they would feel honored to follow in their grandfather's footsteps. If they reject, then they would feel bad and instead try to fulfill dying wishes of souls instead of leading them astray. (Leaning towards the latter!) ((Note; In no way would she actually know; they are more guesses and feelings, not an actual ability. Seems like anymore than this it would be considered a bit OP :3))

Prompt Response: (( Prompt 6 - RPing as Reia))
Reia blinked as she stared up at her grandfather. It was the first time the filly had seen her grandfather and she was a bit... confused about all of the questions that were asked, but since the stallion was her grandfather, Reia knew she had to answer them; furthermore, she wanted them to be good answers.

"Well, Grandpa! Give me some time to think!" The filly giggled. Although most preferred being quiet and still while thinking, Reia preferred thinking while she giggled, believing that good ideas came to those that were happy and enjoying them, not quiet and sometimes unhappy. Once Reia calmed down, her mind was ready to give an answer, albeit a bit of a confusing one.

She smiled. "I don't think they're not real, and I don't think they're fake!" Reia grinned, realizing her answer was more troublesome than intended, but that was how her mind chose to phrase it, and Reia wasn't going to change it. It was after that when she felt something odd around her grandfather, sending a slight chill down her spine. The feeling was quick so it was easy for Reia do dismiss as nothing.

The filly was a bit afraid that her response made her grandfather unhappy, but when she saw the tools that he had with him, her eyes opened wide and a mischievous sparkle gleamed in her eyes. Sitting nearby, there was also something that was broken! Reia grew even more excited and without a word, she went to get working on fixing what seemed like a small pocket watch. There were patches of times where fits of giggles broke out from Reia, but in seemingly no time at all, the filly took a few steps back from her work and smiled.

The pocket watch sat there, gleaming. It had started out as dirty and broken, but Reia, after fixing the interior, had also worked on cleaning the maltreated clock. That wasn’t the only thing that changed though. Once Reia felt like her grandfather saw enough of the outside, she flipped it open and smiled even wider than she was before.

Tick, tick, tick. The clock was working wonderfully, but what would catch others’ eyes was what Reia had done with the face of the clock. Bits of it had broken off and the clockwork used to be able to be seen through the cracks, but Reia had added a criss-crossing patch of grass on it, making the clock-face seem a little bit like it was growing.

Reia couldn’t stop grinning at her grandfather while she showed off the pocket watch. “What do you think, Grandpa?”

Anything else? Thanks for having the contest!

My Precioussssss!

Name: Olivia Monrey {f} | Sylus Monrey {M}

Name Meaning: Olivia; olive tree, Sylus; of the forest. But I didn't pick the names for their meanings. They just sounded ballin.

Temper: Dignified

Personality: {Will be calling the foal male for the time being}
He's a nice mixture of both his parents. Nakita's headstrong attitude will be clearly seen in the little foal, but it will hold his fathers grace and poise with respect. Unlike his father, however, he is not at all submissive in most anything. He likes to be the one in charge, and in control of situations, often finding it difficult to follow someone else's tune. This isn't to say he's bossy, no no, he just doesn't often trust other people's judgements or decisions to be as wise as his could be. Often times he will try in earnest to be respectful in taking reign over the situation that may arise, or offer a more plausible solution.
Some may also consider him to be too serious for his own good, not often smiling or cracking jokes... though he is no stranger to sarcasm. Like his father, he enjoys technology's, and the ticking of clocks is something soothing like that of a bird song. He has a high thirst for knowledge, in all sorts of realms and trades. Intelligent conversation with others is also a great endeavor of his.

In regards to his family, they are held on the highest pedastal for him. Cross them wrong, and you may find it difficult to ever get in his good graces. This doesn't mean he's not afraid to stand up to them, or against their beliefs or opinions. For he is never afraid to voice his own point of view. He see's no gender as being better than the other, simply those of differing vessals that home the same entity, thus doesn't often treat them diffrent from one another. They will both earn a polite bow of his head, and a "Miss" or "Sir" in greeting. A sophisticated leader is what he strives to be, one to Thus the Flock is something that disturbs him greatly. lead those who also aspire to learn the ways of the world.

Do you Like to RP?: It's literally all I come on here for, so yes. I do.

Plots: It's not in my nature to preplan things. Plots will and tend to develope with RP. Though I would be interested in him/her being a teacher.

Prompt Response:{ 2. Playing as Sylus}

My the grasses over here were quite green and vivid! so inviting and tantilizing, how they swayed and bent in the gentle press of the playful breeze that danced on by. The blades were thick, plump with moisture, and gave a light crunching sound when a chunk was torn from the earth. A heavy rain had passed over the lands just the night before, causing all that surrounded him to have a doused exterior. The air was heavily laden with pungent and earthen perfumes and colognes that mixed into a rather pleasing melody. Constantly the young foal found himself flaring his nostrils to inhale the alluring aroma's, and wuffing softly to expell them swiftly only to repeat the wafting again. Ah how it filed his senses to the brim, filling him with a delightful sensation all the way from snout to belly, making a small twitch briefly give way for the tiniest hint of what could have very well been a smile. Oh but the colt hardly ever did such a thing. He kept a rather serious and mature demeanor, wanting to prove that he was indeed aged enough in spirit, even if his body had not yet caught up. He was a gentleman, after all!

Just moments prior he'd been grazing and enjoying the day with his family when he'd wandered off to follow the winds that carried foreign scents to him. They'd intrigued the curious male into a casual pursuit in hopes that the source for these spirits might be revealed. But there were so many! All intertwined, and swirling carelessly with their carrier. He'd been trotting without care that he was drifting farther and farther from his family... far too entranced by his discovery, and too struck up with determination. However... this did lead him to a rather dense and thick forest. He'd notice the change of scenery only idly, and the crunch of dead decaying leaves beneath his hooves finally registered within his ears. Pricking said parts, his silver eyes blinked in a means to refresh his train of thought and mind set, looking about the new setting he'd seemed to have gotten himself into. Odd... he could have sworn he'd just been in the vast meadow with--

Ohdear... He did a turnabout, looking every which way, gaze darting in his frame of vision as things moved or made noise, birds crowd or sang in the canopy's over top, or squirrels raced down tree trunks, their sharp claws scratching mercilessly at the tough bark.. managing to scrape off a few shavings and splinters. Quails dashed in the underbrush, and beneath bushes for safety, guiding their young along. The place was alive, movement unyielding everywhere he looked! Even the leaves that were fallen from their homes upon branches seemed to be revived as they swirled about in miniature tornado's, or skated along the ground to rustle noisily. Sylus was curious of this new world he'd come across, never having been able to venture on his own, and his family never having come to such a guarded place. It was wondrous... charming in its own accord. The young colt walked onwards, further into the wooded forest, gazing with admiration at the majesty of it all, letting his attention shoot about at what ever he could.

He wandered like this for a good long while, soaking up the great discovery he'd stumbled upon! Eventually he reached a very small clearing, that just held a fallen tree that looked to be quite aged... mushrooms and moss were littered along it, along with pill bugs and termites. Peering at it closely, sniffing lightly at the lush moss that clung heavily to the rotting bark, his nostrils flared again as he picked up on something that... didn't quite fit.

It was... strong, and almost overpowering to his nasal cavity. Backing up, the foal looked about with knit brows, scanning the area at eye level, before sniffing some more. His eyes dropped to the carpeted ground, hooves shuffling a little to back up, and-- there... his eyes landed square on what the cause had been. It was a dead rabbit. The colt froze... eyes wide, body rigid and tense as he stared at it in astonishment and shock. Its body was marred, dingy with blood, and soaked with saliva, clearly showing that it'd been a recent kill for some sort of carnivore. Sylus held his breath and backed up a few paces, stiff legs barely shifting backwards, head turning to try and face away his snout from the stench. It was old... had been there for at least a day.. and had drawn just a few fly's by now.

Now most youngsters might turn tail and run home by now... but something in Sylus kept him planted in place, and his eyes on the fallen fellow herbivore.. this was no way for the small creature to go down. No. Not at all. It was unacceptable, to be sure. Sure, meat eaters had to eat, but some respect was due to the life that gave them their own. His chest puffed up, and his head lifted high in a proud state. Well.. he'd just have to remedy that.

Wasting no time, Sylus got to work in searching for a nice place that had soft soil for digging. He tapped around the ground beneath him, testing various area's, before finding one spot that seemed more tender than the rest. Once it was found, he dug at it relentlessly, front hooves pawing in turn, taking only a break once in awhile to catch his breath, and to adjust his positioning over the hole. When it was to his liking, he gave a content nod in approval to himself, "There.." and let his eyes drift back to the carcass. Now.. how to move it... He could only think of one solution... perhaps it wouldn't be the most appropriate way to do it, but it was the best solution that he could surmise with the time given. His parents would probably notice he was gone and grow worried. He had to act fast. Trotting over to the rabbit, he held his breath, and lifted a hoof to scoop up the body, hobbling back with it on his other three legs to place it into its grave. Gently pressing down on the deceased cony to make sure it fit, he started the burial process. The soil was tamped down gingerly, a circle drawn around it with the tip of his hoof. Admiring his work, he murmured some soft words,

"Take care, my friend." and gave a respectful bow of his head. Ears perking, hearing a distant sound that resembled the call of his mother, Sylus turned and dashed back towards where he'd came, using landmarks to find his way to the safety of his family.

Anything else? thank you for the opportunity.

My Precioussssss!

Name: Male: Léon Gallet Monrey
Female: Eterna Monrey

Name Meaning: Léon L. Gallet (1832–1899), watchmaker, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and past family patriarch of the Gallet Watch Company of Switzerland,[1] is considered as one of the primary architects and founders of the 19th century industrialization of the Swiss watchmaking industry.

Eterna is a Swiss luxury watch company founded in Grenchen, Canton Solothurn on the 7th of November 1856 by Dr Josef Girard and Urs Schild. They initially specialised in producing pocket watches with alarms. In 1906 the company name changed from U. Schild to Eterna. In 1908 they became the first company to produce an alarm wristwatch. The movement production part of the company eventually became ETA SA.

Temper: Intuitive aptitude( is the ability to understand the structure and operation of complex systems without special education or training. However, it also compels the holder to understand as much as they can, resulting in a "hunger" which can manifest a need to understand).

Everything is written from the male perspective but would be the same for the female.
Personality:

Leon has problems expressing himself, much like his mother. He is assertive and knowledgeable though prone to daydreaming about designing or fixing things. You can often find him drawing out designs in the dirt so he can get a better grip on what he's making/fixing.

He has a natural understanding of how things work and seldom learns the proper names until long after he's fixed it.

He can be secretive when trying to fix something, he loves to please. He's insanely curious about the Flock and how it has affected his life through his mother's touch.

Do you Like to RP?: Yes! I love to! I'm behind right now because of bronchitis (lots of misery and sleeping. I think NaNo might have lowered my immune system.) So I'm just starting to get back into tags now.

Plots:

Family Dynamics This will encompass several RP's that cover how he reacts with his family. How their "gears" help them to work together as a family unit. During these RP's he'd realize his fear of rejection from his grandfather. His grandfather rejected his father and he believes he will reject him to. In the future, I'd like him to face his grandfather about it and question why his father wasn't good enough.

Broken Things
Leon discovers that he has a knack for fixing things even without knowing what the parts really are. He has a scientific mind and he finds it easy to put pieces together and replicate them without even knowing what they are. He hopes to to learn everything he can about the items he works on.

He has a special affinity for clocks.

Some Things Can't be Fixed

Leon learns that he cannot simply fix his mother like a clock. He can't make her decisions or replace the broken piece of her heart. He has to just...live with the fact that all things can't be fixed. However, still a foal--he plans on finding a way to fix that eventually--the hope and desire that at some point in the future a fix is possible.

Eventually, he has to accept that some things can't be fixed though.

The Flock

When he's older Leon is going to strive to find out as much about the Flock as he can. The goal of his inquiries is to find out why his mother is the way she is, the one she was before she was his mother. He wants to know what made her "tick".

These adventures may lead him to being capture by the flock, voluntarily going to the flock, escaping the flock, or only talking to ex-members and those with information.

This plot is very versatile and will be shaped in part by what he knows and who he meets.

You Can't Fix a Broken Heart

Leon falls in love with a beautiful mare that does not give her heart in return. Shattered, he finally understand what it feels like to be broken and for the first time in his life his gift fails--he cannot fix himself.

However, he discovers that time and letting go are the only way things are possible to get better. Once again, hearts can't be tinkered with---they heal on their own--sometimes when you least expect it.

The More You Know

Eventually, the quest for more knowledge leads him to travel and seek out new things. This plot would allow him to grow more knowledgeable and possibly power-hungry. However, he won't stay that way for long. Something will humble him severely and he will remain humbled forever by it's memory.

Prompt Response:

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. The measured sounds of the clock resonated in Léon Gallet Monrey ears as he uncovered the ground where he’d heard the mysterious noise a few moments before. Closing his eyes, he focused in on the sound of the ticking clock that lay newly uncovered.

The tiny little heart of the clock beat, and he could hear it almost as if it’s breath hitched for a moment. If he had been a healer, he’d have said the patient had a chest cold—but he wasn’t that kind of healer. Not that kind at all.

Delicately, he moved the watch from the dirt and took it a few feet over to a padded grass area. Clipping a few blades of grass with his teeth, he used them as brushes to wipe off the dust and grime from the clock. The little clock’s heart raced and hitched in pain. Such a fine specimen of craftsmanship abandoned and forgotten…He couldn’t believe it.

Gently, he unscrewed the very small screws with a sharpened stick he carried around for just that purpose. Opening the clock, he could see the problem—he had diagnosed it without even looking inside. The fuse’s cord was stuck, causing the piece to catch like a cough in someone’s throat.

Léon blew the dust from the inside and straightened the coil back in line with his tools, the little spring unhitched and moved in it’s gentle, resumed motion more smoothly. Just like that he’d healed the patient.

If only things were that simple with everything.

Sometimes, he looked into his mother’s eyes and he saw a barely concealed pain. Something broken, something lost—and try as he might, he couldn’t fix it. What was the use of this gift if he couldn’t fix the person who mattered most in the world to him?

But hearts weren’t things to be tinkered with. You can’t take them out and pull them apart to see what’s wrong. You can’t ease the ache by oiling a spring or replacing a broken piece—no, what’s broken remains broken. What hurts, keeps hurting and somehow the disjointed pieces of the heart still fit together and keep on beating.

He picked the watch up by it’s chain and slipped it in his bag, feeling a little disappointed. He knew that his mother missed her old friend, Galla—that some how things hadn’t ended right between them. She often spoke fondly, though heart breakeningly of her old friend. Each time he heard her speak of her friend, he wanted to help her—to somehow mend the broken heart of his mother.

But he’d learned time and again that hearts weren’t to be tinkered with. Though similar in function to a clock, the heart went on despite how broken or rejected it was. Small things fixed it or damaged it without marring the surface. A clock sounded different if it was broken—even if it was just the face of it. However, a soquili could keep going on without the heart giving any sign of its duress. The face of a clock was open, honest and the face of a soquili concealed.

Somehow, he’d figure out how to help her—how to understand how the heart could take so much and keep on ticking.

Anything else?
I love the family line. Thank you so much for the chance!

My Precioussssss!

Name: Male: Tait Anton Monrey, Female: Utani Mesmra Monrey

Name Meaning: Male: Tait- I wanted a name that could be found on Skyrim, who apparently has a lot of Nordic names, which Tait is. Also, I started watching American Horror Story and fell in love with the character Tate lD. Anton- The middle name of Franz Mesmer, the creater of Animal Magnetism, which later turned into Hypnotism =3. And of course I would love to carry on the last name x3.

Female: Utani- once again, I wanted something that sounded Nordic to tie in with the Skyrim theme. also, I like that it has 'Uta' in it, so I can claim I have an Uta rofl . Memsra- Sounds like Mesmer lD. And of course the family sirname x3.

Temper: Enegmatic

Personality: I will be using this personality for both genders, talking mainly as if the basket is a male. But it will be almost exactly like it if it is a female. The only change probably being that it would have a softer side when trying to get information.

Tait has always been facinated with the mind. He sees it just like a clock, as a working mechanism with many interlocking cogs. He has grown attached to using a clock to so to say 'pick' the secrets out of that machine. From either a passer by or family, he has learned of hypnotism, and is highly amused by it.

Tait is also quite head strong and passionate. He believes full heatedly that what he does works. And that all he need do to get results is to look deep enough with his watch's help. He is confident in what he says and how he feels. That may be a reason why he is so good at hypnotism, that he easily convinces others with their words, and that he can make others feel so at ease around him. I would almost describe him as a goofy Casanova.

He is good at judging a situation *focusing on emotions* and knowing what to do and how to react in such a situation. Though, in the field of actual assassination, he is still new and learning. He is much better at making others let their guard down so his Brothers can slip in and kill the enemy for him.

Tait can be a little too proud some times. If someone was able to evade his charms, he would be a little taken aback by them, and also intrigued.

Family is very precious to him. His life during a foal and young adult is practically centered around his family. Though, once he joins the Brotherhood, he will only get to see them maybe once a month.

Also, hearing that his grandfather helped others pass on by being a mortician, I think lets him kind of ease into killing more easily then if he had not known. He might even ask his grandfather his views and how he does his killing.

Do you Like to RP?: Sometimes =D. I find I like rping foals and love stories the most nwn<33. I'm not too good at keeping up with guild rps, but I can rp on aim x3.

Plots:
As of yet, I don't really have many ideas for the foal. But I do have some ideas for the adult nwn.

I would like him to some how find his way to Flann's Dark Brotherhood. I think his hypnotism skills could be very useful there. He would hypnotize other members who had minor pains to convince them that their achs and pains are less or null. That way they can pay more attention to the assassination instead of their pains. He would also help when they have a prisoner, or someone they want to get information from. If it is someone they want to get information from but don;'t want to be known, he could use his charms and smooth talking/fun side to put them at ease and sometimes enemies let information let slip that way. If it is for some kind of prisoner, he would hypnotize them and make them tell their secrets. I would also like him to know a little about herbs. That way he can use those to help him as well.

Prompt Response: #2

Rp Responce
Tait watched as his siter chased a butterfly closer to the woods. His brows furrowing in confusion as to why anyone would want to chase a butterfly. A twitch of his lips and a small sigh led him following her to the woods. She was his sister, and he loved her, no matter how silly she could be. And he wouldn't allow a sibling to go galavanting alone anywhere. So, he followed.

Or at least he believed he was. His dear little sister had turned a corner behind a tree, and turning the same corner, saw her nowhere in sight. Furrowed brow returning once again, he stopped to look around. "Phee?" his voice seemingly echoing against still trees. "Phee, where did you go?" Now his hooves started to leave deeper tracks as he started to run, calling out her name.

He called to her what seemed like a decade of minutes, though surely it had only truly been around ten. And suddenly he stopped. His eyes had been open, looking every where but in front of him and he had run into another soquili. Tait shook his head to get the butterflies out, sitting on his rump in the dirt as he gained his barrings.

The stars, that's how far it was like to look up at the stallion above him, like looking at the stars. Tait's eyes grew wide as if he really were looking at the stars. A sentance whispered from his lips "Who are you?"

The stallion above him quirked an eyebrow above him, then belted out a laugh. "No one special, I guarentee yee that." He bent and gave a little sniff to the foal and smiled "Who be yee then?" The butterflies had almost gone completely from his head, but not enough to clearly understand this odd stallion.

"Uhhhhh..... I'm...Tait." As he got to his feet and looked him in the shoulder. "I'm...." He paused as he thought. Should he tell this stallion that he and his helpless sister were out here alone? Surely his sister had gotten home by now. If he could get this stallion to his father, his father would know what to do. All he need do was get him to stay calm till he could get him there. This would be a perfect time to try out what he had heard about! He had tried hypnotism on animals, with very limited success. Maybe he could succeed with a grown stallion!

"I, I was just training my hypnotism, thats all." Giving a cheesy smile to the stallion, hoping he fell for it. And he did, for them most part. "Hypnotixm? What is Hypnotxim?" As the stallion tilted his head. Tait giggled at the expression on his face, then cleared his throat and tried to be serious again. "Hypnotism is where I put you to sleep while you are awake. Giving another cheesy grin. "I can tell you to do something and you'll do it without knowing you are doing it, and then if I want, make you forget it." Proud and happy of what he had learned, even if it was little and he hadent mastered it yet.

The stallion stared at him silently for a moment, then fell down to his knees in laughter. "Asleep while awake? What kind of sillyness is this yee speak of? Oh, if you could do that, I'd give you anything." Tait glared at the bigger stallion grumpily. "Well, well, if I did do it, you wouldnnt have a choice!" But this only made the bigger stallion laugh more.

Tait started to sniffle as small tears welled in his eyes, glareing silently at the dirt. Finally the stallion was able to calm himself. "All right, if you think you can do it, you are welcome to try, little one." Tait's eyes raised as he looked at the stallion in the eyes now. "Okay, but stay like that, its easyer!" And the stallion sagely nodded his head.

Tait pulled the watch his father had given to him and held it with his side teeth so that he could still talk. Swinging it gently till is was steadily swinging side to side in a slow rocking motion. "You are getting sleepy. You can feel your eye lids grow heavy as you watch this sway, back, and forth. Back, and forth." Tait continued with the mantra he had been taught till the stallions eyes looked distanced and fogged over. "You will now pay attention to my voice, and not the watch. You will obey what I tell you. If you understand this, then nod your head." A second passed as Tait held his breath. Then, slowly, the stallion nodded his head and it took every thing Tait had not to squeal happily.

It had worked! He had actually done it! And to someone much bigger then him. Tait took a slow deep breath through his nostrils and began to speak again. "You will now stand, and follow me to my father, where you will snap out of your hypnotism and explain to him what you are doing in our lands." The stallion nodded again, then suddenly, turned to the direction he had come from and galloped away.

Tait stood there for half a second in surprise and confusion, then belted after him. "NO! WAIT!" What had happened? What had gone wrong? Oh if only he knew. Suddenly he remembered,the safety word! All he had to do was yell out the word and the stallion would snap out of it. He opened his mouth to yell and got it full of leaves as a branch whipped by him. Choking on the leaves, he tried to spit them out. "Wait!" Tears starting to run down his face as he tried to keep up with the stronger, faster stallion. Out of beath, muscled burning, a flash lit in his memory. He had forgotten to include a safety word. In his hurry to get to his father, he had forgotten to tell the stallion a safety word.

Tait started to sob as he stopped hearing any running. He saw a break in the tree line and ran to it, knowing that was where the other had gone. But on the other side of the tree line, was about a yard of soil and a long drop down. Which Tait almost fell down if had not stopped so suddenly and been so tired that his running had turned into a fast walk. His burning eyes shut tight as his stinging lungs burned in his throat. Afraid to turn his head down to stare down the cliff.

Finally, an eternity later, as his blurred eyes began to clear, he looked down the long cliff. Sniffling, he searched, scanning to find what he hoped to be the odd stallion who had not believed in his powers. And he found him, though he wasn't smiling up at him. He was laying, sprawled on the ground below, his grandfather Julius staring up at him from below. Tate whimpered as a fresh sob stuck in his throat at seeing his grandfather. Not sure whether to be glad or afraid. Probably both. Tate tried to clear his runny nostrils with one last long sniffle as he searched the cliff side for a possible way down. Grandfather Julius had already started his process, but he was sure to want to know what had happened. And it was only right that Tate help. Slowly, he made his way down the cliff, to end his first experience of 'success'

Anything else?

My Precioussssss!

Name: Sage Monrey (genderless)
Name Meaning: English unisex name which can mean "profoundly wise one."
Temper: Female-Geeky, Male-Analytical

Personality: Female- As said she is geeky, too smart for her own good. She wants to learn about everything in the world, she is a bookworm. She would rather be 'reading' and studying how things work instead of being out playing tag or 'Save the Princess'. She is a rough and tumble girl though when she does play, a right out tomboy able to stand with any of the boys. She doesn't let herself get pushed around and she won't tolerate any one to pick on her siblings either, you'll be asking for a nice bite on the butt or with her wits she may do something just for you like rigging a tree(with some help) to throw a hornets nest at you-that's only in extreme cases though.

Male- A bookworm a bit and a tad too technical for his own good most of the time. He loves mechanics and would prefer to tinker on mechanical devices then frolic about with his siblings. His time is precious and it shall not be wasted. He may seem stand-offish but that's because he is very focused but once you can get passed that he is rather kind(and shy) and is very much a gentleman. He knows how to treat a lady(or fella) right to make them feel special.

Do you Like to RP?: Yes, I've been really slow and lost with them recently but Im coming back from a semi-hiatus and am getting my inspiration back some. I need just a little extra 'kick' to get things back on track. smile I do love to rp and plot, it helps to develop the characters so much and you really are able to see them grow. <3

Plots: Specific ones escape me, but any and all family rp's are awesome. Id enjoy some Harpy involved plots for sure. There are many possibilities and I can never out right think of good ones when it comes to concept contests, sucks. But there is so much potential with him/her with either personality.

Prompt Response:{ 1) As you go to bed each night your mother tells you tales about the Flock, do they seem too good to be true? Do they inspire in you a sense of adventure? Do you wish you join the Flock when you are older, or explore the world? .}-responding/reaction would be relatively the same for each foal, but Ill label it as 'her'. Male would have a few differences, but just slightly.

Bedtime again and mom was on about The Flock, she always talked about it with such pride but also a little sadness in her eyes but it wasn't her place to ask especially being so young. Each time the stories seemed to pull Sage in deeper and deeper, each story better then the next. Oh the things she could learn from them, the knowledge....it made her brain drool....if that's even possible. She would dream of the stories and try to envision everything she had heard, she did think so of the views they seemed to have about males were odd. It was just one more mystery she wanted to learn more about. Some nights the stories were so intoxicating that she couldn't sleep and when morning came she might as well have been sleep walking. She would be almost half asleep muttering this or that, talking to those in the Flock, or so she thought, soaking up all their knowledge. She decided that when she got older she would talk to her mother in depth and learn everything from her and maybe they could go there together, maybe Momma wouldn't have sad eyes as often. She didn't know what it could all mean and entail but she was determined to see them for herself, maybe she'd fit in better there. She made a promise to herself, one day she would seek out the Flock and learn first-hand everything about them, where they came from, and what it means to be a part of their family.

Anything else?
Thanks for this opportunity to be a part of this most awesome family. Sorry it's not as detailed as I would've liked I've been so busy and a tad brain dead so this is what I've gotten. Thanks again and good luck judging.

Name:
{Male:Mordecai Monrey }
{Female:Nymeria Monery}

Name Meaning: {The first name yes in a way. Its a tribute to his grandfather being a mortician. the second name i just like and I've been reading game of thrones . ..lol.}

Temper:
{Male:Somber}
{Female: Frank }

Personality:
{Mordecai Monrey: He is quite the somber and laid back fellow. It looks like he doesn't care about anything but in reality hes a really good listener and a kind soul. also has a mind for inventing most would say its about the only thing he is passionate about.* }
{Nymeria Monery: This little lady is tough as nails confident to the letter and isn't afraid to let you know whats on her mind. Also the makings of great inventor.}

* Honestly Ive been wanting a soquili i could play as an inventor! I have some cool ideas for inventions that soquili could actually use. Not just human things they they mange to make work for themselves. for example i was thinking maybe i could have a sort of mini shop . . .so people could have the inventions for their soquili in character.

Do you Like to RP?: { I love RP and cant wait to have a active family to RP with if chosen.}

Plots:
{ I honestly want a lot of family RP.}
{Flock Interactions maybe one or two}
{Lots of inventing rp! like finding an assistant, gathering materials, tweeking designs, finding somone who's willing to test the inventions for him and give reliable/honest feedback. }

Prompt Response:
{I choose prompt number 6 played as Mordecai. My response may not be the longest but i wrote it as i would an actual response in an RP }

Mordecai looked at his grandfather with a quirked eyebrow as he listened.
"That's a lot to process at once." he replied tilting his head to one side thoughtfully. His dark blue mane falling into his eyes momentarily as he thought about how best to reply after all his grandfathers visits were few and far between so it would be nice to perhaps apprentice with him on a experimental basis if for no other reason than to get some quality time together. Besides maybe this is what he was meant to do? Obviously his fathers side was creative and harpies were rather gifted as well judging by the stories his mother told of them so perhaps this kind of thing was in his blood.
"A morbid subject so early in the day grandfather?" he said with a little smile before returning to his usual somber business like self.
"Honestly I find the subject to be an interesting one just based on the limited knowledge i have. The afterlife is perhaps life's greatest mystery after all.." the next bit of questioning was kind of a frustrating topic. Normally he kept his opinions on the matter to himself . . .but perhaps his grandfather because of his tinkering would be the one being who could actually understand what he was talking about.
"As for my skills with tools. I don't know how any of our kind can be handy with them made as they are. The tools we currently have and use are made to be used by human hands. We make them work for us as best as we can but such lack of advancement hinders our progress and quality of work greatly. if we can do what we do with these cumbersome tools imagine what we could do with tools that were actually made to be used by us by all of our kind!." he paused and used his nose to point at his grandfathers screw driver.
(note he is becoming more impassioned with each passing moment)
"Take for example that tool your screwdriver. It works that's true but the handle is round and as such it requires a lot of jaw strength to just hold steadily let alone use." he grabbed a stick and drew the same tool but with a flat handle.
"Now Imagine how much easier that would be to use. Its an easy innovation for a lifetime of well . . .ease." he said though he couldn't quite figure out how or why he had started breathing so hard . . .like he was excited. odd . . .

Anything else?
I love RP.
Im an active RP-er and so far i don't have any soquili that are a member of an actively Rped family so it would be an amazing change of pace. It would be really cool to be part of an active plot kinda thing.
Also I LOVE gray and blue as color scheme as an added bonus it gos with my zodiac. I'm a Virgo. Its the colors of the wise and graceful . . .or in my case the delusional and somewhat pompous. LOL
anyway thanks for the chance.

My Precioussssss!

Name:
Female: Valkyrie Monrey
Male: Nicor Monrey

Name Meaning:
Valkyrie's are an old Norse legend about fierce warrior women who are born from three parents. Freyja and Odin as well as the woman whose battle cry at death woke them from their slumber with her bravery and dying breath. She would appear in Valhalla pregnant, so that her strength would live on through her immortal daughter. They received their human mothers bravery, their Goddess mothers beauty and their father's keen mind. Often known as Odin's girls and shield maiden's.
Water demon known for drowning humans; can cause hurricanes, tempests and the like. Fierce, aggressive and sometimes impatient.

Temper:
Cunning
Meticulous

Personality:
She lives up to her Valkyrie name, stubborn and determined but with a keen mind like her mother. She will think things through and bide her time, never in a rush as she seeks what she wants. Valkyrie can be a little too focused at times though, forgetting and ignoring other things around her (almost like she has been dazzled by her target).... this leads to her often getting into trouble. Of course, even when she does she is still a little reluctant to ask for help, wanting to be able to do it all on her own and with her own strength -like the harpies of her mothers stories.
NB: I can see her possibly trying to entice her siblings to get involved with her... very much like 'follow the leader'.... but no matter what I can also see her taking the blame instead of letting them get into trouble.

Nicor is often quiet, lost in his own thoughts. He pays attention to all the little details, and will express his dislike when something doesn't fit or displeases him. In many ways his mind is like a 3D puzzle, and he is constantly looking for the pieces to completely solve it. He can have a temper at times, but generally is rather stoic in appearance. He does care for his family, but won't really show it in the conventional way unless he is forced or nagged to the point where he will cave and kiss them or say it or something, generally he will just try to build things he thinks they will find useful.

Do you Like to RP?: LOVE IT! Always have and always will! I had a little break from soquili (due to RL and my lappy dying) but I am back and plan to be more active than ever. Currently got an elderhood quest for my Kalona Demon. I aim to get all my soquili to 100%, and continue to RP them even after they are. =D

Plots: Yep! I have lots more ideas than just these, but I don't want to overwhelm you... plus, I like to see what happens in RP and develop my character from there, shifting and changing as needed.
  1. The Flock-- I can see Valkyrie going in search of the Flock, based on what her mother has said, but not because she wants to join but because she seeks the mare that her mother seems to miss so much. What happened would depend on group discussion.
  2. Call of the Raven-- Valkyrie's often have Raven's in the legends so I would totally love to get her a raven of her own, her very own 'death bringer'. Much hilarity and fun could revolve around this. For example I can see the little Raven being seen by her and another of her siblings and they fight over it and try to get the familiar to bond with them.... eventually Valkyrie would win but I think she would feel guilty and go on a quest to find one for her sibling too. If that possibility doesn't work out then I would like her to have some adventure or something to find this Raven, perhaps someone tells her she can't do it and she just has to prove them wrong.
  3. Battle-- Valkyrie is swift and cunning but as a foal she will think she is bigger and badder than she actually is.... always good to have them knocked down a peg or two.
  4. Treasure Hunting-- Would love this to be a group thing, but the 'treasure' they are hunting could be something odd and unusual like 'a shard of lightning'.... so it's an impossible quest but allows for some bonding. Disaster and things could happen that force the group to work together and bond, and provide much entertainment for us. Perhaps along the way one of the siblings get lost or stuck or something? I dunno, again this is something to discuss.
  1. Oops...-- The first time he tries to build a trap/wind chime/something he gets it completely wrong and ends up stuck and confused, maybe he even hits his head and acts strange for a day or two.
  2. Fascination with Water-- Not sure why but I have this idea that Nicor will have a fascination with water! Maybe he see's a mer there and things it was something else, or maybe he just wants to see them again and can't figure out how.... but yeah, I can see many RP ideas revolving around this fascination!
  3. A puzzle he can't solve-- It will irritate him to no end but there will be puzzles you just can never solve. Part of me would love for his siblings to set something up and he will just get more and more frustrated until they finally admit it was a trick. He will likely growl at them a little but won't stay mad for long.

Prompt Response: NB: Will write as Valkyrie (female)
Prompt 3
Write about any situation that you want that involves the foal. It can be funny, serious, sad, etc. The outcome is up to you.

Valkyrie stretched her little body with a lazy grace, her eyes darting around as she looked for what she sought. After hearing one of her mothers stories she wondered if she was any good at dancing and singing too? After all, she was her mothers daughter.... of course, she didn't want her siblings or parents to see her, didn't want to lose the 'image' she had gained with her attitude and actions. Sure, she loved them all dearly but being laughed at didn't appeal!

The clearing spread out before her, the grass blowing and swaying in the wind, tickling her ankles. She closed her eyes, simply taking a moment to absorb her surroundings. Calm and beautiful. Lush and green. As she listened Valkyrie started to hear things, the sounds of the forest sparking to life with the chirp of birds, the shuffling of insects, the rustling of leaves, the swoosh of grass..... she could hear it all, each note merging together until a symphony of sound danced and swirled around her. In her mind she could see the dance, could see the moves. This was easy! Her eyes snapped open, intent and focus lighting up the shining orbs, a smirk spreading over her features.

She took her first step, a little cautious at first, then the next, a steady forward motion soon moving. She grinned. Yes, this was easy. She spun, her hooves leaving the ground and for a moment she felt invincible, incredible and free.... CRASH! She landed flat on her rump, a harsh groan escaping her as she blinked in surprise. Ouch, that hurt. Swiftly her eyes darted around, desperate to ensure that no one had witnessed her humiliation.... good. She rose a little gingerly, her rump stinging from the impact, it would serve as a reminder... never again would she try to dance. No, she would stick with fighting..... fighting she could do.

Valkyrie made her way home, her face set in a scowl even as she wondered what exactly she had done wrong.

Anything else? Lovely baskets, lovely contest and I wish you all the best of luck! Must admit that this little basket was actually my fave of the three XD so I couldn't resist trying for it haha.
