"I think this is .... " Maria looked at the card curiously, "YOu... have a deck of these two?" The dark haired girl said holding it out for her to take, "Did you buy them or something?"

She gathered the other things and held it for Rose.

===
"Cards?" Hazumi looked over to Nahumar, though her body was turned to Reimu as she drew out a switchblade quite well covered.

"Eh?" Going from sixty to zero, Nora looked at card closely, 'OI ARE YOU THE NERD THAT SLIPPED THESE INTO MY BAG?!" Like that she reached into her pocket and presented her card to him,"What kinda joke is "Temperance's Last Breath" ?! Get a life creeper!"

Leena got tired of waiting, even though it has barely been five minutes. So she pulled out her deck to look at her cards: Pulse Sign - 'PG24-E27A9 Wave Cannon'... Sounds like something out of the games I play, maybe all these cards are based on our personalities and interests... Leena thought to herself as she slouched down leaning on the metal fence. Rekinna, who was equally bored stood up straight and pulled out a few cards. "We're suppose to battle with these cards, right? So let's have a practice match right now. Get your cards, Leena." Leena's eyes lit up, she also felt a little stupid for not thinking of this before. Leena stood up and pulled out five cards to face Rekinna. After they both held up the five cards, two auras appeared over the school as they both floated upwards. Leena's aura consists of a bunch of wires and circuit boards, while Rekinna's was made up of gears, gunfire, weapons, and machines. Memory decided to go downstairs to see if anyone was on their way here. As she walked down the stairs, she heard electric pulses and gunfire overhead. Memory kept going down until she saw Nahumar, Reimu, and two other people. Nahumar seem to have taken interest in the cards, just as Memory had expected. Memory walked over to the four and waved, her other hand pulling out her deck. "I see that this card game is quite the fad in this school. Now, I've been waiting to fight someone, my brain tells me a 79.676% chance that the one standing beside the guy holding the baseball bat will accept my challenge."

Hardly noticing Sorina leave, Lucy happily joined Maria as she helped the other young woman clean her things, when out of clumsiness, the girl scattered a few more items on the ground. Among the items were more of the strange cards. Lucy could just tell they were the same! Well, they were different in design, but the feeling they gave... that was most definitely the same.

Hovering over Maria's shoulder, Lucy looked upon the scattered cards in hushed awe. "Wow...they must be really popular... Um, I have some too, ya'know!" Unfastening the clasp of her schoolbag, Lucy withdrew her own measly deck and held it out to show Maria and Rose. If one were to inspect it, they'd notice that it was probably much smaller than everyone else's. "See Maria? I'm hip, too! ...Right?"

Reimu shot a quick glare at Nahumar. In her eyes, he seemed to be treating her like the "damsel in distress", and that didn't sit well with the Hakurei child one bit. She turned to accost him when the tall young man produced a glowing card, not unlike the deck of cards Reimu still possessed in her backpack. Even concealed within its depths, she could feel the cards quicken their resonating, seemingly in response to the proximity of the multiple card-bearers in the near vicinity.

Though still smarting from her perceived injustice, Reimu couldn't deny the fact that Nahumar seemed to know something about the cards, or at least gave a clue as to how to find out more. She'd hate to run from a fight, but Nahumar seemed sure of his capabilities. "I don't know what you're getting at," Reimu said, in a thinly veiled attempt to conceal the truth, "But anything's better than getting in a pointless brawl. I'll let you three duke it out like the brutes you are."

With that said, Reimu quickly collected her backpack by one strap, slung it over one shoulder, and turned tail to run back the direction she came. Instead of running, she bumped into Yumi, nearly tripping and toppling over the girl, though she managed to stay upright with a well placed hand on the wall. "Hey, watch it!" Despite her words, she reached out and grabbed Yumi by the arm, noticing the card she apparently wanted to give to Nahumar, as well as Miss Memory approaching on the horizon; she too had a deck of cards. What was up with these things and everyone suddenly owning them?!

Returning her attention to Yumi, still in her grasp, Reimu spoke carefully: "...Listen, things are gonna get ugly here pretty soon, so we might wanna book it. Understand?"

Nahumar had no time to respond to anyone, even to get his card back. Floating before Nahumar and Nora looked like five empty card slots and only their major spell cards glowed as if they were the only ones to go in. But only five could be chosen. As if the cards themselves were explaining things to the two, Nahumar seemed to caught on. He started to place a few cards in the slots while his last was the card he managed to get back from the newcomer. He turned to Reimu to try and tell his angle.
"Apparently it is asking us to prepare for the spell card duel." he made his choices final and just like that, he started to float above the ground, high in the air a bit. This was already a shock to him. However, a projection of black tendrils emitted from his back which he could not see for the time as he felt more information fill his head. As if natural. He practiced flying around as the opponent prepared. He held his handout in such a way that he sent a small bullet about the size of someone's head towards the ground. It did nothing as it would only affect his opponent and himself for the time the duel would begin.
"You know? I take it back about these cards being stupid... This could be freaking awesome!" He flew around till a barrier blocked his flight path. Apparently there is only a limited room to fly, but it seemed larger than unnecessary for two people. Until they see the spellcards in action and bullets begin to fly. He took another look over at Reimu and calling out.
"Hey, I didn't catch your name. I'm Nahumar Anali." He tried to show that he was now noticing the girl more than a female. Not as rude as he might seem.

Sorina watched over from the side, seeing the commotion and Nahumar flying. She looked at her cards and wondered if they did the same thing too.
"I can't do much now. If I try to run down there, I could end up missing the show." So she looked beyond the fence at the sight before her. However, she did feel a bit envious towards the girl he was talking too. She held her cards deep into her chest for protection.

Announcer: Uh-ho! It look like this card game is really going to be more than paper and beads! What will the outcome be? Why is Nahumar and the others looking different as they begin their first match? Turn in next time for more Spellcard Wars!

Yukari: Boo... And here I wanted to see the next episode Now!
Ran: Yukari? Isn't it about time to just call it a day and...bring them back?
Yukari: NO RAN! For once I found something I can enjoy to watch! Even Chen is getting into it.
Chen: Ran-Sama? Is Sorina in love with Nahumar?
Ran: Oh well... If i can't change her mind, I might as well become her mind.
Yukari: That's The spirit! Now we just have to let it run for a good hundred episodes and make merchandise! The replica card for the card game. The Various trinkets and outfits for cosplays. Oh that reminds me! We should totally get into-
Ran: I think that's a bit overboard for yourself.
Yukari: BUT RAAAAAANNN! I want to dress up as Reimu!
Ran: YOU DO IT ALL THE TIME WHEN SHE IS NOT LOOKING!

Yumi gasped when Reimu bumped into her and almost fell on her. She scowled as Reimu told her to watch it. "Hey, you bumped into me-" She was cut off when Reimu gripped her arm and looked at the card she was holding. Yumi gave an annoyed yet confused look as this unfolded. Namuhar, the boy from before, took the card from her without a word. Not even any acknowledgment. He actually told someone else something instead of saying anything to her. How rude! What a way to treat someone! Yumi gave a maddened look to Namuhar as he went about his business.

Yumi then turned back to Reimu, who told her to "book it". But, she did say we, which eased Yumi in a way. She didn't know why. But wait... "What on Earth are you talking about!" Yumi said to the shrine mai- I mean, the other student. "Oh, forget it. I try to do something for someone else and..." She didn't bother finishing her thought, she just sighed at the end. "Fine, I don't care anymore. Let's go." Yumi said, defeatedly. As Yumi turned on the spot to go away from where she was, she noticed someone else on the horizon holding up a deck of cards... Like Yumi's. "Hmm? Someone else has these cards?" She thought aloud, quietly, though.

-----

Rose gasped when she noticed the card near Maria, that Maria was actually looking at. Maria then asked if she had these cards too and where she got them. "U-umm... Well... I think I just came across them in my basement." Rose admitted. Rose took the other items Maria handed to her and put them away, leaving out only her cards. "Thank you very much!" She said to Maria. "Oh, silly me, my name is Rose! Some people call me Vert for some reason, though." She told Maria.

She then noticed a girl hovering over Maria's shoulder, noting how popular these cards must be. "Ahh!" Rose was startled by this girl's sudden appearance. At least it seemed sudden to her. She then cocked her head and asked, "Other people have these?" and before she could finish, the new girl pulled out a small deck of the cards. "WOAH! That's neat!" Rose said. She gathered up her cards and showed her hers. "Yours seems kinda smaller than mine..." Rose said. "What are yours called? Mine seem to be mostly names "Strange Device" or "Magnum" something-er-other." Rose said, with interest. She gave a laugh after she said something-er-other.

Noraneko's eyes went wide, as she stepped back from the sudden boxes,"What the?!" She dropped her bat so that it touched the floor but it was still in her hand. The baseball player looked up as Nahumar begunto move about, and not willing to be she dropped the aluminium bat , "HOLD ON."

She pulled out the entire deck from her pocket, reading through all her cards. Temperance seemed to be a central idea, along with Oni. What sorta game was this? Desiding on five cards that sounded the most fitting to her she set them into the slots and made her desicions final.

She hovered about the ground for a few seconds, but with her all that changed was the tips of her haid bleaching, leaving them white, and like that... she was dropped. Nora was a bit disoriented as to why she couldn't go after Nahumar, but she was busy moving her hand testingly. She clenched and unclenched a fist, and then turned to take her bat, not by the handle but the fatter end that is meant to impact the ball. The black haired girl closed her hand over it, denting it and crushing it to some unusuable shape. Nora grinned sinesterly,"Alright. This is what I am talkin' 'bout."

Hazumi meanwhile stood not too far away, she stared and decided to observe this closely. If this was anything it was shocking and supernatural, and it also meant there was a power to be harnessed; specially after she saw Nora dropped the now bent Aluminuim bat.

====
"I am Maria,I am the School Newspaper Editor... But I am more known for being the captain of the kendo team here," She nodded her head in a small greeting, though she turned her head to Lucy as the blonde appeared over her shoulder.

"They aren't popular, Lucy, in fact, I'd never seen them in my life before last night," Maria said as she stood, her face twisted in thought, before she dwelled into her bag and pulled out the box of playing cards."Mine seem to revolve around swordplay... "Swordsman's Way" or "Reporter's Way", but you are going to call me crazy: I've never purchased this. I am sure my family hasn't either. They just sort of... appeared in my room." She looked a Rose's and Lucy's decks,"My instincts tell me there is somethig fishy going on with these things."

Memory stood there and watched Nahumar fly up with Nora. She walked closer, having found out the basic rules of a duel, held her cards up. "Your name is Hazu- something if I heard right. Now, I challenge you to a duel same as the one your bat wielding friend is in over there. All you have to do is pull out your deck which I know you have... Your instincts will tell you what to do next." Maria wanted to test out her cards on something, she didn't want to let the whole afternoon of research go to waste. She had already picked out five cards: 1. Bladesman Sign - 'Sea of Spears' 2. Bladesman Sign - 'Cutting Light' 3. Archer Sign - 'Rainclouds' 4. Archer Sign - 'Robin Hood' 5. Memory Sign - 'Feast In Hell For The 300'

Meanwhile, on the roof of the school, another battle was taking place, one between the Concept and Flame of war. They were still in the middle of their first spellcard. On Rekinna's side, we have Armament Sign - 'Sturm von 1944'. On Leena's side, we've got Plasma Sign - 'Ionization'. Rekinna's guns flew all over the boundaries of the match, releasing bullets in unpredictable patterns. While Leena shot waves of bullets that would explode into balls of lightning which would then explode into more smaller bullets.

"O-Oh..." Lucy mumbled, pulling back the small handful of cards she had held out previously. "Well, to be honest, I'm not really sure where they came from, either. When I woke up this morning, they were scattered all across my pillow - woosh! - Like they'd come from my head or something! I, um... I wanted to talk to you about them first, but..."

Lucy began sorting through the cards in her hands, naming each card as she did. The physical cards themselves all shared an icy-blue design framed with white feathery markings. "Mine are 'Devotion Sign: Heaven on Swift Wings', 'Swordplay: Scarlet Mastery'... I have a few others, but they're...blank." Lucy sounded disheartened by that fact, especially considering Maria and Rose seemed to have many more to show. She let out a sigh and replaced the cards in her bag. "My name's Lucy, by the way. Nice to meet you, Rose!"

"Anyway, Maria, do you remember our plans for tonight? You said you would take me out to see the city, right? Hehe, it'll almost be like a date~!" Lucy was perky again, happily flashing her beaming smile to her 'best friend' and having already forgotten about any funny business with cards. After all, she had much more important things to think about now~

How..?! How is this possible?! Was he... FLYING?!

Even with Yumi's arm still in her grasp, Reimu stood staring, awestruck, at the two delinquents after they had manipulated their cards. The boy had somehow taken flight, and gained alterations to his visage. The girl had almost achieved the same, yet fell short, though she did seem to gain a slight makeovDID SHE JUST CRUSH METAL!? Reimu felt something snap in her brain. None of this was making sense anymore, and minute by minute, things were quickly degrading into a poorly-voice acted Saturday morning cartoon!

In a welcome moment of clarity, Reimu returned her attention to Yumi, realizing she still had the girl by the arm. "L-Look, I don't know any more than you do, but do we need any more reason to leave besides that?!" Reimu pointed a finger at the now crushed and discarded aluminum bat. Not releasing her grip, she took a few steps back towards the center of the school, when she heard Nahumar call out to her once more. Reimu stopped for a moment, then turned to look over her shoulder at the boy. "My name is Reimu, Reimu Hakurei! Don't! ...Do anything we'll all regret later." With that, she attempted to flee the scene, assuming Yumi was still in tow.

====

A distant clapping resounded on the school roof, under the danmaku show on display by Rekinna and Leena. Standing at the only doorway leading down into the school was a young woman with the oddest green hair, accented by a number of white highlights in her bangs. She, like many of the other more eccentric students, was wearing a variation of the school's uniform: a long-sleeved, white button-up shirt with matching red vest and red business-like skirt, and on her feet were a pair of red, lace-up boots, which were strikingly clean despite the fact that this particular young woman spent most of her free time tending to the many flowerbeds and gardens that dotted the school's campus. Lastly, on the crook of her arm, rested a rather stylish black parasol, wound and bound tightly.

The girl was none other than Yuuka Kazami, a normally antisocial young woman who spends more time talking to flowers than her fellow classmates. While friendly enough, this abnormal behavior is well gossiped about, and has earned Yuuka a number of unflattering rumors to show for it. She doesn't mind, however, and has resigned to let people believe what they want to.

"My, what a pleasant spectacle! What colors, what sounds!" Yuuka called out with a warm smile, her one-woman applause subsiding. She took a few steps forward onto the roof, looking first to Leena, then to Rekinna. "Word travels fast, you know. It has come to my attention through the grape vine that there would be people gathering on the roof... people in possession of these." From a small leather pouch fastened to a thin belt around her waist, Yuuka withdrew a deck of amber-colored cards and held them high for the two combatants to see. "It looks like the rumors are true, but this is only the beginning of our story... It seems to me you two know far more about these peculiar little cards than I do, so please... 'enlighten' me~"

Nahumar Noticed Reimu already fleeing as his attention turned to Noraneko.
"Just in case we both are hearing this... The rules for the game are simple. We fight until we drain the person's life down to zero or someone uses all their spellcards. We have a limited area to fly in and we can not harm anyone else but one another with our bullets." He narrated.

After some time, they were ready to begin. Still new to it, Nahumar started to fire some of the smaller bullets towards her direction. They came out in rapid succession till he turned his hand a bit and noticed he could adjust or make patterns. He stopped like an idiot, remarking about how cool it was. The rules seemed far too simple though.

While the supposed sister who skipped out watched from afar.

Sorina watched them from the top till she heard a woman's voice. She turned and carefully listened to them. She did not really want to believe the cards could be like this...
"S-sorry to interrupt Miss, but we all barely know what they are for. Some of us are already experimenting and even challenging one another to see what we can make from it." She looked down at her cards. The majority of her cards were different and some beautiful. The one she loved the most was a card that labeled itself "Neverending Sorrow of Ten Eons" as the image depicted a rain of bullets that shot lazers at either one of four angles.
"What about you? Have you any idea what they do?" Like Nahumar, she made a mistake in holding one card up for a challenge. She never meant it and if accepted, she could not quit.
PostPosted: Tue Dec 04, 2012 3:32 pm

Yumi looked back and gasped. He was... flying? He also seemed to know what was going on too. Strange. But Yumi was still ticked off at him, so she looked away right away. The girl who was holding her arm introduced herself to the guy, but Yumi also heard her name. Reimu Hakurei. Hmm... Interesting. Wait a moment... Did Reimu just crush a metal bat? That's something shocking... right? Why did Yumi not feel very fazed? Maybe it was because it was just a bat or maybe she was just tired. It felt like Yumi was leading the two, so she lead them away from the fight that was about to ensue. "Barbaric. Simply barbaric!" Yumi muttered as she lead Reimu. "That "game" they're playing and him! Who does he think he is to talk like he knows that game and be okay with it." Yumi was very annoyed with how that man didn't acknowledge her kindness and how he seemed kinder to someone who was doing nothing for him. Nothing!

After she had lead them away from the fighting, Yumi turned to Reimu. "Who is that guy? And what's with," Yumi reached into her satchel and pulled out her cards. "These cards? How many other people have these?" She asked Reimu with a worrisome, yet slightly annoyed, look.

-----

Rose gasped when Maria introduced herself. "Oh, you're the School Newspaper Editor!" Rose said. "I've kind of always wondered who that person was." She admitted. Lucy then told her how she came across her cards and told her some of the names. "Oh, neat!" Rose said, but when Lucy said that some were blank, Rose cocked her head. "Wait? Blank? What does that mean?" She asked her, but she had no idea if Lucy knew or not.

She listened to the two talk for a bit and felt like she was in an awkward position. Kind of like a third wheel. No, wait, like they were a bicycle and she was a unicycle all on her own... No, that wouldn't work at all. "Ehehe..." Rose said, rubbing the back of hr head. She put her cards back in her baggy and put her baggy back in her backpack. "I guess I'll leave you guys to that." Rose said, slinging her backpack over her shoulder. "I guess I'll see you guys around." She told them, though she didn't move after that. She really didn't know how these sort of things worked. She never really had anything like this happen to her. Something then snapped into her head. "Wait, did you just say 'kinda like a date' or something?" Rose asked, pointing at Lucy.

"Eh?' Hazumi looked as Memory came her way holding a card, and her chosen five, "Looks like you know something about these cards. You are Maria, aren't you the book worm of my literature class?" Hazumi walked past her and looked through a forgotten bag on the lunch benches. She drew out a wooden bat, and walked back, she stood behind Nora as the girl ran to the side and then jumped back as Nahumar curved the orbs of light.

"Heheheehe, stop talking, I want to crush your head right now. It's the weirdest feeling~!!" Nora laughed raising a hand and swiping to the side. The gesture released a redish-orange scythe like wave of danmaku that split into three rows. The movement felt unnatural to her, much like the idea of flight. "Wohooohoho~~~" Nora cracked her knuckles and straightened. A loud whistle interrupted her.

Hazumi threw the bat at Nora, who caught it. "Thanks Hazu!" she ran forward to try and get under Nahumar, "Come down here pretty boy~~!" Hazumi grinned and turned to Memory.

"My name is Koudo Hazumi, pleasure to meet you~" she drew her deck and presented a card to Memory to initiate the duel,"Let's see how agile you are, smart-girl~"

~~~~
"That is me!" Maria seemed quite content that someone was far more thrilled at her being the editor than the 'swords-girl.' She looked over at Lucy's cards, "Maybe it means that something will fill in the space later."
"Yes I said I'd take you out to see the city, a promise is a promise," Maria nodded with a small smile at Lucy as she straightened out and tucked her cards away. She had ignored the last part, but she gave a small blush crossing her arms, "Call it what you want...."
OOC: I was playing Touhou Sky Arena! SO MUCH WIN IN THIS GAME!!! Also, Leena's spellcard names are a bit hard to think of, because I don't play much sci-fi shooters. But I've been reading up on railguns, coil guns, weaponized plasma, and so on.
Memory slowly floated upwards and came to a stop on the far side of the box. Without saying a word, she raised her hand up slowly. Then swung it forward as if marking the beginning of a skirmish. Small points started to appear one by one at Maria's border, spearheads. At first, only a few spears seem to have poke their heads out. But withing three seconds of the spell starting, thousands of spears formed a dense sea of spikes all moving forward on an ominously straight path. With very few tight spaces between the spears, though they moved quite slowly. Maria then got back as far as she could and watched the spears form a deadly wall of spikes and pushed at Hazumi. Maria can't release any other danmaku while using sea of spears though.
On the roof, Rekinna was still in a tight match with Leena, both of them not showing the slightest sign of fatigue. Though the holders of the spellcards didn't tire, the spells did time out eventually. After the spells suddenly timed out, Rekinna and Leena both flew backwards and pulled out their second spells. Rekinna pulled out Armament Sign - 'One Man Cannon' while Leena pulled out Plasma Sign - 'Blue Flamethrower'. A wave of rockets impacted the plasma fireballs, creating a good amount of explosions that didn't even get close to either one of the two casters. But Rekinna's rockets explodes into smaller bullets when it hits another bullet or the boundaries while Leena's fireballs was greater in numbers, so both of them had quite a bit of danmaku to dodge as well. The battle drags on at the same, blindingly fast pace.
((Sky Arena is fun, but it quickly gets boring fighting the CPU all the time. Also, if someone addresses you in a post, please at least acknowledge that even if your characters do not ^ ^# Thank you!))
Lucy giggled, hiding a smile behind her hand. "What's wrong, Rose? Can't a couple of girls go have some fun at night?" She appeared entirely too happy with the idea. "Like I said, I'm still really new here... But with Maria by my side, I know I'll be fine!"
Despite her enthusiasm, the questions given birth by the strange cards shared by the three still plagued the young girl's mind. She frowned, her eyes drifting. "I don't know why they're blank..." Lucy confessed, sounding a bit disheartened again. "I mean, you guys have a lot of cards, right? I don't understand why I only got two. Maybe I wasn't supposed to have them at all..." She reached into her bag one more time, retrieving one of the cards to inspect it again. "Devotion Sign: Heaven on Swift Wings" depicted A grand set of angel's wings across a sky, joined together by the symbol for Infinity in between. "...There's no way these were meant for me."
====
Reimu was surprised to see Yumi take the lead, leading them away from the two duels taking place behind them. "To be honest, I don't really know!" Reimu said, easily keeping pace with Yumi. Being a soccer player had done wonders for her body, so a simple jog like this didn't warrant a single drop of sweat.
Now confident in the distance they had placed between themselves and the rest of the card-bearers, they slowed their pace, and eventually stopped. Looking back towards the far side of the school, Reimu could swear she could already hear the sounds of battle echoing. "I don't know what's going on, or what the deal is with these cards." Reimu returned her gaze to Yumi. "But, that man's name is Nahumar, apparently. Other than that, I don't know that much about him."
"Counting you," Reimu slipped off her backpack and reached inside, retrieving her own deck of cards, "And me... and them," she motioned over her shoulder, "There appears to be seven of us. You, myself, the three delinquents, and the history buff. Also, there was some weird blonde girl who seemed to know something as well, though I'm not sure where she wandered off to."
Reimu held up her own cards to inspect them; they were crimson with white detailing, and the back of which bore the Yin-Yang symbol. "Given what we've seen so far, these cards give us...powers...and are used to participate in some kind of duel. To what end, I cannot say for sure." Feeling the cards resonate in her hand unnerved her, and she quickly replaced them back into her backpack. "...I should have stayed behind. What if these things are lethal? Did you see what Noraneko did to that bat?! If she makes quick work of metal, think of what she could do to bones--!"
====
Yuuka's brow furrowed, after having been so rudely ignored by Rekinna and Leena. Understandable to some degree, however, being deadlocked in battle.
Catching movement out of the corner of her eye, Yuuka turned her arm toward Sorina, as if aiming the deck of cards at her like a weapon. "I haven't the faintest idea, my dear, but I am more than interested to find out~" The smile never left her face, even as the cards in her hand reacted to the impromptu challenge initiated by the two student's actions. A field expanded from a point between them, creating the same limiting box around them as had the other six students currently initiated in battle. Just like the others, five card-shaped panels appeared before her, all wanting, craving the commanding touch of their master.
"Well! It seems my curiosity will be addressed sooner than expected." Yuuka giggled, clapping her hands around the deck of cards. As she released, five cards floated in place, the rest of the deck having disappeared and presumably returned to the pouch at her hip. With a simple motion of her hands, the five cards left their master's command to fill the five corresponding slots.
Yuuka took the wound, black parasol from her arm and held it in one hand, then awaited Sorina to respond accordingly. "Are you ready, miss~? Come, let us discover the potential of these cards for ourselves..."
Nahumar dodged the beam, but just as he was about to be struck with the bat, a small barrier card was used. It blocked most of the impact and surprisingly did not seem to harm him physically. Only denoting some of his health was lowered by a handful of points.
"Now i see how the bullets work." Nahumar cupped his hands then expanded them to create an orb about half the size of a human body and tossed it in the general direction of Nora. The ball may of been slow but smaller orbs spread from behind it's path, covering the small area in slow moving orbs. Nahumar wanted to push for a card to be used early. Unknown to them, the bullets did more damage in the game than real solid objects. Plus they hurt a lot.
"Hmm...I see the cards actual descriptions now? One says 'Time out' Card? What does that mean? I can't worry about that for now. I have to finish this quick and find Sorina before she does something stupid."
Sorina was now confused.
"H-hold on! I never agreed to fight you!" she quickly responded. However, it was far too late for that. She had to place five spellcards up. One of them being her most beloved card. Once initiated, she nearly shrieked as she was lifted up. Her own outfit changed drastically to that of an arabian belly dancer with two scimitar like weapons.
"What the?" She was terribly confused and helpless. Just like the others, she was still experiencing this for the first time. Sadly, she was only cannon fodder at this point. Her eyes shifting around her body and the area she clearly saw that was encased for them.
"What is all this?"
She was lower than a Stage One boss at this point.
((I maybe Rose's post kind of sad, huh? Oops xD))
Rose nodded with what Maria said about the blank cards, and jumped when Lucy asked her "what was wrong with that". She then gave an awkward sounding laugh and replied, "O-oh! nothing's wr-wrong with that at all!" Rose felt really awkward now. "W-well, I-I'm off now, see ya!" And with that she quickly left the scene, turning around once to wave before heading towards the school. Man, she was awkward right now. "Rose... you...!" She scolded herself again. She leaned against a wall inside the school near the doors and looked at her shoes. "Now what...?" She asked herself. She kind of felt lonely. And she had already gone into the school, so she couldn't go back out without looking even more awkward then before. What could she do?
Yumi sighed when Reimu told her she really didn't know about anything she said. She did know that guy's name. Nahumar. What a strange name. Reimu then told her that she knew of seven people with cards. She then told of a strange blonde girl. "I'm afraid I don't know of her." Yumi told Reimu.
Reimu's cards were different from hers, just like how Nahumar's were different. But one thing Reimu said concerned her. These cards give powers. Reimu then said she should have stayed behind. "But what good would you do? You said duel. Duel means two. You're a third, so you wouldn't be of much use there." Yumi said. She was unaware of if the fact about the "duel" part was right or not, but she kind of didn't want Reimu to leave her for some reason. She then remembered what happened with the bat and that delinquent. "It's... kind of scary to imagine what she could do. But Nahumar can do the same now." Yumi said with a nod. It pained her to say it like that, in a way that sounded like she was supporting that guy.
Yumi thought for a moment, grabbed Reimu's arm, mostly out of sudden realization, and then looked Reimu in the eyes. "I know of one way we can find out what this card duel is about." She said, "But I don't like my idea." She really disliked her idea. She had just been calling the duel barbaric, but she was also quite annoyed with that guy too, so that had a hand in her word choosing. What happened next turned Yumi's face deep red.
A ball came rolling towards Reimu's foot and gently bounced off of it. It was green, fuzzy, and had white, rubber lines on it. It was a tennis ball. "Excuse me!" A voice called. It was Byakuren, a school tennis player and part-time cheerleader on the side. They say the way she preforms, in both, is almost inhuman in abilities. "sorry about that, I kind of lost track of it." Byakuren admitted. She came jogging up to the two, her ponytail saying side to side as she went. She did still have more... Scratch that, was not as much of an ironing board as those two.
Byakuren noticed that Yumi was holding on to Reimu's arm. Byakuren clasped a hand over her mouth. She then released her mouth, placed her hands together near her thighs, and bowed. "Oh, I'm terribly sorry! I didn't mean to ruin your time together." Byakuren told them. As she was bowing, she bent down and picked up her ball. She then straightened herself back up and said, "I'll leave you too to one another. And once again, I'm terribly sorry." Byakuren then began to take her leave with a casual, slow pace. Of course, she wouldn't get to far.
