Of The Epidemic Mud glanced at the others before turning back to watching the world around them. Things seemed just a bit off, it was still far to quiet. No cats, no dogs, surely someone was making noise somewhere aside from there little group.
She moved a bit towards the edge of the barn, not wanting to stray to far but wanting to see if she could maybe get a look at one of the other teams. - staff post -As she approached the corner, Mud had the oddest feeling against her throat as something slicked her ears back. Something was tightening around her neck... (roll a d4 please. Immediately after you roll there will be a half hour countdown for other rabbits to help)

Mud stilled, feeling the tightening feeling around her throat. She didn't move, knowing full well that to panic was to be a fool. Though she currently was having a hell of a time pushing that horror down as she felt the tightening. She thumped her foot several times to alert the others.

Dragon returned to the group. There hadn't seemed to be anything skulking about, save for the livestock and a small mouse he'd seen scurry into a hidey hole.
But as he returned, the glint of light from the barn door caught something in the hay by the group. He paused, about to say it was all clear..but it surely wasn't! His eyes followed the flash of light until he saw where it rested.
Calmly and slowly, as not to panic the doe, Dragon approached Mud. "Don't move." He said in his gravelly, stone-like voice. He knew metal and man's traps; they had taken his tail. But he'd never seen a trap like this. It seemed pretty simple, but sinister. "Ginkgo!" He called over his shoulder. He circled the trapped female, trying to push a paw into the loop that caught so tightly around her throat in an attempt to loosen it. "Hold still." He chided.

Now that was why it was so quiet. The farmer had rigged the entire place with traps. They'd have to be super careful now. Quietly he hopped forward to help dig out the post holding the snare down. With any luck Mud would be free in a minuet or two. He was glad he wasn't the only one intent on getting her free.

+Bloodroot+ Blood looked to the Owsla at his name, his fur bristling. “I was moving, surely that is not against your moral code.” He would have said more, but he was silenced and he looked to the doe to see the shine of a snare wire. Surprised he rushed over to her, trying to keep his eyes open for more before he started to dig with all his might at the pole. Thank the hutch rabbits for his knowledge he dug beside the torn up black buck. His paws working hard and every now and then he gave a shove at the post to see if he couldn’t push it out. he ignored the owsla who was only making the wire tighten. (( ooc: ))

Ginkgo was on the scene in a flash. Apparently the farmer had learned from the last raid. Snares. They'd have to be more careful. He hurried to Mud's side and pressed his nose to her forehead breifly.
"Keep calm. Don't move. Don't struggle. We'll have you free."
Charcoal and the hlessi were already digging, for which he was thankful for. He quickly bounded down to the post, being smaller than the average buck, and began digging up a storm alongside the two others. If they couldn't get it free, surely he could squeeze in and chew the post loose.

- staff post -
The post comes loose in the earth and the tension slackens, just barely.
Just enough.
Precious air can enter her lungs again, but it'll take time for her to untangle herself, and time to recover. Blood dribbles from her nose and bubbles as she breathes, but breathing all the same.
--------------------
Mud is alive, but unable to continue with the rest of the Raid. I suggest she hide somewhere OFF the Farm until she's recouped enough to head back to the warren or wait for her team.

Dragon sighed. Checking the female over for a brief moment, he snorted. She'd be helpless in that state. Looking to their runner, he snorted. "Take her where she'll be safe and meet us back here."
He looked to their dwindled group and sighed. Oh well. They'd be more stealthy like this..lot more vulernable though.
"Alright, hlessi. Ginkgo. There's a hutch back there...easier to break out of than the one I was in once. Some lumps inside of it." He snorted. "If we can get them out, it could be beneficial. More eyes and mouths. But we'll wait to break in until our main set of eyes gets back." He glanced around the barn, nervously but trying not to show it.
"AND WATCH OUT FOR WIRES. You know what they do now."

"To the hutch, then. We'll see if we can free any rabbits, take a quick look for flay when Charcoal returns, and get out of here. We've nearly lost one rabbit as it is... Poor sod." He shook his head ever so slightly as he watched the doe leave with Charcoal. She'd have a rasp and a painful throat, but at least she hadn't left to join the Black Rabbit's warren yet. It'd make for an interesting story for her to tell, at least.
"And you." He turned, golden eyes narrowed as he glared at the hlessi. "If I catch you mouthing off again, I'll rip your ears off your head," He gnashed his teeth threateningly at the buck, but he made no move to attack. There was no time to assert is dominance with the old rip and bite technique that he was so fond of when threatened. Even Dogsbane sported a nice scar for being belligerent. That was a rabbit he even liked to some extent.
"Now, get a move on. Come with me to the hutch and we will see what we can find." He hopped towards the hutch, keeping close watch on his surroundings.
"Anyone there?"

Coal took one look at Mud and decided the snare had done too much damage, she needed time to rest and breath and thank firth for life. Quietly he nosed her. "Come on pretty girl. We're gonna get you out of here okay?"

+Bloodroot+ Bloodroot looked at the doe, red eyes gleaming in the dim light of the barn. He looked her over with some care, then moved away from her and glanced around as Coal spoke to the injured female. He saw the hutches, and his ears perked up. Looking at the group, he gave himself a shake. “Why wait? Faster it’s done, faster we can get more mouths to carry food. The longer we sit here the longer you make us wait for a cat” He was glad Gingko said to move and was careful as he moved to follow, avoiding hay and any clumping of things. He kept his eyes out for the glint of the snares, but in the barn he could think of no reason they would be here and chance catching a hutch rabbit. Easing closer to the hutch he stopped, still a bit away from it; enough to move back if he had to run. He had of course ignored the bucks threat not afraid. “Hey, anyone I know?” (( ooc: Claim ))

She was dead, she was sure of it. She had gone and gotten her fool self killed. The edge of her vision had gone black and flashed with white, she couldn't hear things had turned into mumbled noises. Why had she come on this raid again? Oh right, food, they needed food. She closed her eyes sure it was the end when suddenly she could breath. She slumped into the earth, pushing herself out of the snare before slipping to her side just breathing.
A voice, it sounded far off but she knew it wasn't.
Mud looked at Coal and gave a half bloodied smile. "O.." She coughed shaking her head before nodding pushing herself to her feet and leaning on Coal heavily. He had been with her in the last Raid too.

"Come on." Quietly and more slowly than Coal would have liked they worked their way to edge of the farm and and rocky outcropping where she could rest until she felt strong enough to run back to the warren. Coal was righfully worried, she didn't look well at all but he himself was a testament to the will of firth, she'd hopefully be just fine. With some care he made sure she was under the rocks and protected before hopping up on his back legs and running all out back towards he barn, he still had a greater job to do and that was keep his warren-mates safe.
