"W-wha? No!" Mot pouted as she looked over his cloak. "It... it's a cloak! You know, like the boogeymen wear. I feel more like I need to set an example when I wear it. You know.. be the clothes you wear?" He'd literally taken some old drapes from a thrift shop and shaped them to be his cloak.
Mot fidgeted with the drapes cloak thoughtfully. "If I don't believe I can do it, I never will. But dressing like this makes me feel like a real Boogeyman."

Hel went silent as she stared at Mot, looking like she was processing what he was saying. Oh…a cloak! Like a Boogeyman cloak. Well, now that he mentioned it, it did look like one…
Huh.
“Oh! Alright then.” Hel responded amiably. “Ya…that is true…you need to believe in yourself…but ah…make sure you start doing things like a Boogeyman too, ya? If not, then you are nothing more than a human scareling wearing a costume on Halloween, ya know?” She grinned in what she hoped was a reassuring manner, lifted up his cloak, and then slid under it with him, pressing up against his side as she then pulled it down. “Oi! Instead of getting milkshakes at that one place, let us go get some hot chocolate!”

"Yes! Like... um..." Did he do anything Boogeyman ish? "Well.. I will when I find something to do. But as long as I maintain a healthy character and do good for others, good things will come my way! Like helping freshmen out.. or um... picking up litter!"
Puppy eyes and hopeful smile go here.
Mot eeped some as the cold drafted in, Hel's lifting of his cloak letting the chilly air hit his body. Well, looked like he now had a heat leech. What are you, Lizzy?
"Sure! Can mine be a coffee? A black coffee? Maybe half of it can be hot chocolate.." Mot didn't much care for sweets, after all.

“That is the spirit, Mot!” Hel cheered. “You must do what you can, and build from there! There is nothing wrong with that.” No Mot, Hel was not a heat leech, and she was on the opposite end of the spectrum when it came to being Lizzy. First, Hel wasn’t cold skinned, and second, she actually radiated heat too.
“Ya, Ya. That is acceptable!” She replied. “Just something warm for our hands and our stomachs, that is all!” She hooked an arm around his thing waist and started to walk with him towards the shop.

Mot seemed to beam, pride showing through little by little. He'd maintain the lifestyle of a good samaritan until he got to his goal.
Mot chuckled and followed along, seeming to be led out towards the shop by Hel. "Well, let's catch up! Whats new with you Hel? Aside from any school oriented drama." Because that s**t was cray.

Hel snorted, amused as she walked along with the grim. “Ha…not even school drama bothers me, Motty…I mean…aside from classes, I just have been doing my own thing.” The ghoul hummed a bit as they walked, trying to think if anything big had happened in the time she hadn’t seen Mot. Well…she was Titus’ pretend ghoulfriend for two weeks and two days but uh…that wasn’t something she felt that Mot needed to know.
So she didn’t bring it up.
“…Oh! Well…I uh…acquired some sail cloth…” More like a boat load, because Titus bought out the entire section in that fabric store. “So I am going to make some things out of it soon so that I can glide along the wind and from heights!” She informed him cheerfully. “What else…ah…! Acquired a new friend, her name is Belladonna and she is a witch…AND…” Hel leaned forward, grinning widely at Mot. “She has the most glorious bosom on campus—aside from mine, of course—and I buried my face in them! It was beautiful!” Hel seemed to get into a chatter mood now. “Also, my sister has finally started to pick up eating again! I am certain you have seen how broom like she was….like you! But she is slowly on her way towards getting healthy again…how about you?”

"Sail cloth? Oh, to make a glider, huh?" Mot chuckled. "I look forward to seeing it. Let me know when your first test flight is." It sure beat never flying again for her, he figured.
His face seemed to grow distant as she talked of Belladonna, sighing and smacking his forehead with his palm. "You stuffed your face into the bosom of.. oh good gravy, Hel." The ghoul was a classless as ever, he saw.
"Well, that is good. She'd looked awful for a while there. It was sad to see..." He managed a lighthearted laugh at his own expense. "Yes. Not many can pull off the figure of a broomstick like I can."
He had to ponder a moment as she turned to question to himself. "What's new with me.... Absolutely nothing." He said with a nod. "Since things were so hectic, I decided to have a Staycation. Instead of running off far away, I holed myself in my room and perfected some hobbies for weeks on end." He seemed proud. "It was nice to focus on something so simple for a while. I played my harminica, picked up a bit of banjo, advanced my woodcrafting skills and did a lot of reading."

“No…not a glider…just…something I can fold and tuck away into my apron, and pull out when I need it. Carrying around a glider would be…a hassle.” Hel laughed. “But alright! I will call you out for the day I plan to jump off of the tallest tower of the reaper dorms!” The ghoul laughed even harder now. “Ya! I did! It was so warm and plush! She then buried her face in mine as well!” Hel was just all grins, and cackled softly as she listened to what Mot had to say about his time. “Ah…there is nothing wrong with that, Motty! I think it is good to take some time for yourself…” Hel had been doing that a lot, she thought.
“…Yanno…I think I was more outgoing when I first got here…but now I…I like being on my own…sometimes…more so than when I first got here.” The ghoul trailed off thoughtfully as they entered town, and she steered him to the shop. There seemed to be something else on her mind, and it had her a bit troubled, as she sounded distracted when she spoke next.
“Neh…Mot? Uh…” She pulled out from underneath his cloak, and hopped, skipped and jumped to the door. “…Um…you…would rather here something from me first…than to find out about it…from someone else or…from something else…uh…ya?” She glanced up at him, grinning a bit sheepishly as she pulled the door open and held it for him.

"Yeees? I'd always rather hear something from the source first.Otherwise my opinion will become based on what I hear first, despite the source." It didn't mean he wouldn't be upset, but it was always better. Somehow. He eyed her cautiously as he walked through the door.
"Is something the matter?"

Hel chuckled, a bit uneasily. She could just…for see how Mot would respond now…but she’d rather he hear it from her, than to get mad or upset that she hadn’t say anything first. Yup.
“Uh…no…nothing is the matter…just…I think it is something I should tell you…after we get out drinks!” Hel blew past the reaper to the counter, where she took off her hat and shook it, seeds spilling onto the counter. “A hot chocolate and a coffee!” She hastily ordered, and pushed the seeds towards the barista before Mot could have any say in it. The ghoul then scooted down the counter to where their drinks would be served.

Mot puffed his cheeks. Damnit! He'd been distracted. Now he had to gentlemen it up big time to make up for this injustice to GENTLEMANLY THINGS!
The reaper followed after her with arms crossed and a disapproving stare cast at Hel. Once his coffee was up, he took it gently, gaze not leaving the dark skinned ghoul. "Clever ghoul.." He murmured, sipping his black brew with a narrowed gaze aimed at Hel.

Oh, keep staring at her disapprovingly, Mot, it was about to get worse. Not that she cared that you were staring at her disapprovingly…but she expected it, and expected it to get worse. She took her large mug of hot chocolate when it came, and nudged Mot with an elbow on her way by him. The reaper then settled into a cozy booth in the corner and placed her cup down, following by her hat and her gloves and her large outer-tunic and then her quilted inner tunic. “ So…” Hrm. How did one tell someone that wasn’t a sibling this kind of thing? Well…it was Hel…and Hel really didn’t have any class so…why should that change now? “… So Mac and I are friends, ya? Well…he is also my ah…friend with benefits.” There. She said it. Hel lifted her mug and blew on it, and then realized something else, and added on. “ It is not cheating either! Because he is not in a relationship, alright!? Just so you know!” She paused. “… Did you know?” Hel was also waiting for that…reaction. Waiting.

Mac. Ew. All the ew----OH DEAR JACK, SHE WAS BANGING HIS COUSIN!? AGAIN!?Mot's face went from dissapproving to just hilariously horrified. "Euuugh.." Mot made a bitter expression and sipped on his bitter coffee. "I figured this would happen sooner or later, so I can't say I'm too surprised. And it's okay. I know about Mac and Lizzy. She is one of my closest friends, you know. She does tell me things."He let out a sigh and had another sip of his coffee, the familiar bitter taste helping keep the edge off somehow. "As long as you are both happy. Well.. as long as you're happy. I'm sorry to say I don't much care of Mac's well being." Though he really ought to pry Lizzy out of her room more often.

Well…Hel was pleasantly surprised. This was a pretty tame and agreeable reaction, all things considered. Even despite Mot’s comically horrified face. What had her a bit annoyed though, was the tone he took with her at the end about being one of Lizzy’s closest friends. Her eyes narrowed and her brows furrowed, and she scrutinized the boil over the rim of her mug. Was that supposed to be mocking? “…Well good.” Hel replied with a drawl. “That is what close friends do after all.”
She took another sip of her hot chocolate, and at his words, Hel’s expression softened. Something about them got her thinking. What Hel also couldn’t help but think about though…was how much Mot and her had changed. In a way, the boil sitting across from her almost felt like…well…
A stranger.
“…How are you and I friends, Mot?” Hel finally asked, and her tone was not mocking or sneering, but genuinely curious. “…Him and I are not that different…so how is it that you and I are friends?”

Mot blinked at her question, gently lowering the mug in hi hands away from his mouth. "Well.. they do say opposites attract? I get along with Lizzy because we share many similarities, you get along with Mac for the same reason. But there is something to be said for contrast too. When two people clash, sometimes it can be that much more fruitful?"
He smiled some, and gave a short chuckle. "And its a good thing, right? If I remained the same forever, I would never reach what could be my full potential. Being friends with someone different from yourself.. you learn about each other a lot, and grow a lot. I'm forever grateful that we are friends, Hel."
