This is a discussion I had with people on an old forum I frequented, I thought it might be fun to talk about it here.
Does your username have some sort of significance?
Did you just like the sound of it?

Hmm... well, my original account name (which I refuse to say), was a character name plus a chain of my favorite number. The first name I switched, was/and currently is my MapleStory character's name sweatdrop if anyone played/plays that too, I don't play anymore. The first second name I switched to, was/and currently is the one of the screennames I use (so not going to say that one either).
And the current one... I drastically wanted something with the initials DW. I figured out Wish first and then came the more challenging part of figuring out what came in the beginning. You could read it as though it has some significance, you could read it as though it does not. Either way's fine with me.

I got my username from my love of music. I particularly like band music (I play Trumpet, French Horn, & Cornet) and ta-da, The Mistress of Music. heart

I learned the two words "camel" and "spicy" in Korean which are pronounced nakkta and maeun. I put the two together and started saying "annyeonghaseyo maeun nakkta imida" and that's how I got the name Spicy Camel.

Well. I've been through a lot of stuff. Like II l3 l_l M II Or something like that. Then I think I saw a thread about Crayons and I thought I'd change to Mr Crayons biggrin
Except this is the only site I use II Mr Crayons II.
My others are either Oblivion997, McNick1997 (follow me on Twitter? biggrin ) Or Z645 (On Minecraft and stuff. Usually use it a lot)

On Tumblr I was browsing through themes and I came across one with narwhals as the background. For some reason, I just gained a little obsession with them and I needed a way to include them in my username. So...Queen of the Narwhals was born mrgreen

I was helping another girl change her username with a few others and somehow we got on the subject of adding Cupcake to the end and started talking about the one word from our current names we'd use in front of Cupcake and I liked the sound of Banshee Cupcake.

Well i got a name via contest a while back, it used to be XThe Eye in the SkyX, at first when i thought of the name it sounded cool, but as i go through the months that followed by the name started to dull, and started to feel a bit religious if you ask me. So i did a contest to change my name, City of Dreams came up with the name and i like the ring to it, Scope due to me playing MW2 and MW3 a lot and Gambler, i love to gamble and sometimes do high risks. So the name I stayed with and gave City 100k and a Muramasa as well. I believed it was 100 k hmm can't remember. :/

Well when I first made this account back in 8th grade, I went by Special_Girl. If I remember correctly, I chose it because I was special girl by actually being a boy in real life... not that I told anyone that at the time. xd Well I eventually returned to Gaia around 2010 and quickly became tired of everyone thinking I was a girl, so I had a name change contest. I remember there being a few good ones, but none that really felt right to me. I only chose this one over the others because of the Lady Gaga connotations behind "Monster", even though I wasn't that into Gaga anymore. Besides that, it just sounded cool and I wanted "Special" to be in it. Interesting enough, this is my most unique username ever, since I use pretty much the same username for everything else except this one. 3nodding
It's no surprise! I've been watching you lately! I want to make it with you!

And my dad gave me the nickname "Cheese" (because my dad is weird and I really like cheese....)
.... Basically my username is German for Undead Cheese... (the "Kase" part is actually spelled "Käse" but Gaia won't let me have that symbol, so....)
How I came up with the undead part? No idea... I wasn't a fan of undead things at the time (The Walking Dead made me like it, though x3).. I just thought it sounded silly and kinda cool in English, but I liked it better in German. > w < ...Raging like the wave, crashing to it's place

Mine came from the title of an anime I love. I still occasionally go back and watch a few episodes for the nostalgia.
In the title, though, its Requiem for the Phantom, and I only changed that one word so it would sound right.
