He would of sat down on his bed and gave a long sigh if Solia wasn't already sitting on his bed.
Instead, he dragged a chair over and sat down, picking up the mission reports.

"...Fine. Tell me what I'm supposed to fill out."
PostPosted: Sat Nov 24, 2012 1:36 am

Giggling, Solia pointed to the tops if the forms. "Well I start with my name. I tend to fill those parts out first. That way later I can just pull out a form, fill out mission info and turn it in. It also helps when you have a bunch to just do that in one go so you just don't get into a cycle of name mission name mission name mission."

She waved her hand in the air. "Now come on Jake, faster you get those done the faster you lose your new roommate."

Yes Jake, she did plan to stay that long if she had to.

... Of course.
Chester snickered.

Shut up.

He stared at the forms.
There were at least 3... maybe 4? 5?
Thankfully, they weren't TOO many to fill out, considering he hadn't been on the island long... or have done much to fill out reports for.
Well, there was that insanity mission, and some training courses...
... Did he REALLY have to fill out a form for those?

Hastily scribbling down his name on all the sheets, he looked over them again, wondering where to start, when Solia mentioned "roommate."
His head immediately snapped up, and he glared at her.

"HELL no."

He let out a loud groan, and buried his face in his hands.

"Oh HELL YES." She laughed, rocking on his bed. "Like I said, finish the reports and I'll go. Never to darken your door unless you start skipping out on them again. If you keep skipping out well I might just have to start bringing an overnight bag. What will people say I wonder?"

Her smile was playful. Playfully disturbing. "A tiny French girl having to harass you to do your job. Man, sounds pretty embarrassing."

"They won't have to wonder because I'll discard your lifeless body outside this door if you continue to persist." he growled.

<...Do you not remember the outcome of that spar?>
... Of course. Chester just HAD to remind him.
As if losing AGAIN wasn't humiliating enough, he had lost to a half-pint midget, and more than just lost, but knocked unconscious.

Jake grit his teeth. STOP REMINDING HIM.

He scribbled away furiously on one of the sheets, ignoring her further jabs.
Seriously, this was so humiliating, being bossed around like this.

Solia smirked, clearly pleased with herself. "Oh and don't forget to sign it! Otherwise it won't matter." Falling into silence she just sat on his bed for a while. Until-

"So what was that dagger thing you used in our spar? It wasn't a runic I've seen."

He was about halfway done when Solia commented on signing it.
WASN'T THAT WHAT WRITING HIS NAME WAS FOR?

Jake muttered something along the lines of "buzz off" as he skipped to the bottom of the report.

At the mention of his dagger, Jake paused, a hand patting at his sash as if to make sure it was still there, and continued writing again.

"It's an artifact. Got it on a quest."
PostPosted: Mon Nov 26, 2012 5:25 pm

Artifact? Brown eyes lit up as he mentioned a quest. This, this was the kind of stuff that got her interest. Smiling, she leaned just a bit closer to Jake. “And will you be filling out a detailed mission report on this quest?” She could get her answers direct or indirect. “I have to admit, it had me and Isra a bit spooked. I’d never seen a thing like it, and when it cut into my shield like that? I just went with what I thought was best. Sadly… it was a bit too much.”

Still occupied with writing, he hadn't noticed Solia's excitement until she asked if he would be filling out a "detailed mission report" for it, at which he snapped up his head and gave her a look of disbelief, and proceeded to shuffle his chair away when he saw how close she was.

Did ANY girl on Deus have respect for personal space?

"Hell. Do I have to fill out a report for that too?"
Because the only thing he'd really be able to write was that shadow bosses were a pain in the a**, climbing a mountain is stupid, and he hated lava pits.

Hmm. Tore into her fear shield? He hadn't felt that much of a change when he used it. Just that it felt... more powerful.
It was evident he was going to have to test it out more to get a feel for it.

Don't remind me.

Personal space didn’t exist. Well it did but Solia’s excited mode sadly didn’t know that. Not well at any rate. At his chair shuffling, she managed to half suppress a giggle. ”Sadly, yes. Any information withheld is ah… not a very good idea. Death wants information. If one of our own holds back something we can use? It’s going to prove to be detrimental to our cause. And our beloved leader has shown what happens when you know, you don’t obey and become a burden and all that.” She made a face, clearly not approving of his methods.

Still, he sat on the edge of his bed. “Is there any particular reason you don’t want to share the information? I can’t much think of one… aside from thinking they might take it from you.. in which case you’ll need to suck a lot of d**k in order to avoid the pods I would guess for keeping it from them to start with." Israfel was rolling his eyes in her head. She was really taking it too far.

Somehow, he was starting to think it was less about him not doing mission reports, and her just wanting to get her hands on any possible sort of detail she could get.

"There are like, what, TONS of hunters, which means TONS of reports on the same bloody thing. I don't believe anyone's going to cry over a missing one that's pretty much the same rendition as everyone else."

Her "threat" only earned her another pair of sarcastic eyerolls.

"I hardly think they're going to shove me back in a pod for not telling them the oh so exciting adventures of not getting your a** handed to you on these little treasure hunts"

... ok. The way he put it made it sound kind of interesting. BUT IT REALLY WASN'T.

If she wanted to know so badly, she could go research that crap up herself and spend a day or two trying to get it.
There was no way he was giving out that information for free... even if he wasn't really the one who found it.

Solia laughed when he rebuffed her. True, no one would cry but- “Hey, not my butt on the line to go back in the pods. Just out, we have to make good impressions on our senior hunters! But, yeah might not cry over one report but-“ She motioned to the multiple forms. “I do think after a while they would start to question.” She gave him a sweet smile, notably less… well, focused.

“But Treasure hunts? A dagger doesn’t seem like traditional treasure, nor like a think to go risk your a** for. But adventure?” She was still very curious. “How’d you get to go on this adventure which was a treasure hunt for a dagger?”

Jake only glared at her before turning his attention back at the forms in front of him.
Stupid annoying midget bossing him around. There really wasn't much for him to write on, unless it had to be EVERYTHING he did, which were some training courses, some spars, that quest...

This girl. She was probably thinking of pirate treasures or something stupid like that. Seriously, how old was she, 5?

"It wasn't a dagger before." he replied without looking up. "It was some kind of weird tusk thing, probably a Halloween item or something. Apparently it's useless to us unless they're converted to runic weapons."

He put down his pen and looked at her.

"I don't know what kind of "treasure" you're thinking of, but these are artifacts. Things that can give you an edge in battle and what not. None of that useless gold and jewels crap you're probably thinking of. Seriously. What use would those kind of things be here? It's not like we're living the luxurious life, need I remind you."

He turned his attention back towards the reports.

"If you want to know so badly, go look it up yourself. You're a death trainee, are you not?" Never mind the fact that he too was a death trainee.
"Stuff like this should be easy for you to find out."

Not a dagger huh? More information stored away, such items had to be modified to work for hunters but they could be modified… and as jake was new, she doubted it cost him anything. Perhaps it was a reward for a job well done. “I see. So the item needs runic applied to become operational for our uses. Pity, suppose it just helps that weird life and death rift but hey, if we get what we need in the end…” Maybe Jake did pay for it. He didn’t seem fond of info like her but…. If he sold info well. That was a bit rude.

Very death of him but rude.

Brown eyes widened as he just kept giving her information after information. “Hrm, so if one were to go, it would more… huhhhh. That is interesting.” Looking down at his papers she grinned. “You’ve given me a lot to consider really, and to go from. But you are right, I am a death trainee. Meaning that this should be easy for me to find with a bit of digging.” Standing she took a few steps towards his door. “But perhaps we both need a lesson in keeping secrets huh? I’ll be looking forward to your mission reports Jake.”

Jake’s prayers had been answered. Solia looked ready to leave.

What Solia probably didn't know was that he indeed had to pay for the runic conversion, but being a trainee that had been awake for nearly just two months, he had no access to his funds yet, and had to rely on Sherry to pay for him. But he wasn't going to tell Solia that. She could find out herself. Nothing was ever free at Deus, especially not information, though she didn't need to worry about him selling the information, because... well, having money but not being access his funds was kinda pointless. Not to mention since she was relatively new too from the looks of it, neither of them probably had any money on them either.

He snuck a glance at her, noticing her expression become thoughtful. This was his chance. Putting down the pen, he got up, placed his hands on her shoulders and began steering her towards the door.

"What YOU need a lesson in is respecting people's privacy. And, yah, whatever, I'll have them done soon, ok? Just go busy yourself with looking up these artifact things so you can find one yourself or something. Adventure and treasuring and all that. Exciting stuff. By the time you get back, I'll have them all filed away ok?"

It took all his willpower to not shove her out the door, but the moment she was out, he quickly shut the door, locking it.
Resting his forehead against the door, he let out a long sigh.
It was going to be a long, long day.
