▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Annoyed that the little girl in the Alice costume bugged him and then wasn't going to even elaborate what she wanted help with, he shoved his hands in his pockets and left. Todd didn't even say goodbye to the brat, but he was bored, and wasn't in the mood to deal with waiting.
He turned his attention to the voices he began to pick up, was his hearing this good before? Oh well, he shrugged as he jumped over a small creek. Was is just him or did he jump further than usual? "Eh, whatever, " he brushed it off as a figment of his imagination. He did reach the sources of the voices though: Two girls.
Todd had a strange feeling that he walked into some sort of weird cosplay party when he got close enough to make out their features. One was a short pink haired girl, who looked to be thirteen at the youngest, the other was a tall brown haired girl who looked sixteen or seventeen. That wan't what was weird, what was weird was the animal appendages they had: Rabbit and Mouse respectively.
"Uh... 'scuse me, but do you know what we're supposed to be doing? And did I miss the memo for Halloween or something?" He asked feeling a little out of place among the ones with animal features.

Beatrice's ears twitched when she touched it. Fearing the worst, Beatrice looked up to find out that she was right. Beatrice did have rabbit ears! She was now at her melting point, wanting to scream and cry. Why was she stuck with all this? Why?! Why?! Why?! She also looked behind her and felt a tail, but didn't she it, Oh whatever. If she didn't notice the ears and she had some, then if she didn't notice the tail, then she had one! This was such an odd place! This time, she really felt as if she was really in the game she was---oh! Beatrice had finally believed that this was the game. Even though she now thinks its just a dream she needs to awake from soon or else she'd go insane. Hearing that the girl she was talking to wasn't panicking as Beatrice was, Beatrice decided to calm down and look at the facts. "Well, I guess it is an advantage having these instincts," she started as she looked around, "we should progress. My name is Beatrice Viche."
She then saw the odd blonde man who crept up behind them and then noticed that he had ears too. He had different ears, so I guess he wasn't the same animal as Beatrice. Hearing his comment, she retorted quickly saying, "Look at yourself blondie." Beatrice was not in the mood for loitering around, she wanted to get the hell outta here and her patience was wearing thin after the mushroom, and the ears, and the realization that she was a rabbit.

Why does everyone call me Alice!========================================================== Leerin hurried after the man. "Hey!" she called out. "Dont leave me here all I want to know is where are we and how did I end up in this dress? And if you don't know either maybe we could help each other find out what's going on." she was about to start again when she saw the two girls. "Thank god ther are more people here than just us."==========================================================

 ♠♣♥♦The Hatteress♠♣♥♦ ⌊Mika Suzaku⌋ ◊"There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter."◊  The last thing that Mika remembered was arriving at the game company's building, being led into an empty room with only the VR tech, sitting in the chair, and closing her eyes. ”Wh-where am I?” she murmured, to no one in particular, for she didn’t see anybody else yet. Mika scrambled to remember what had happened in the last few days. She had received an email inviting her to beta-test a new game, “Wonderland.” Being somewhat of an avid gamer, she had hurriedly accepted and was sent a location to meet at. Now that she thought of it, weren’t there supposed to be other people around? Mika scanned her surroundings and seemed to be surprised at what she saw. Why am I at a tea party? Or rather, why am I dressed as the Mad Hatter? she pondered, extremely confused. ”Welcome to Wonderland.” Mika jumped out of her chair and almost broke some teacups. ”Who’s there?” she threatened. The computerized voice continued, as if it hadn’t heard her and was simply ignoring the girl. ”Player, you have been specially selected to beta-test version 2.01. When you pull up your menu, you will notice that there is no logout button. This is not a glitch. This was inputted into the system on purpose. Also note that in this game, if you die, there is no revival. Your body in the real world will die aw well.” Mika almost had a heart attack. She finally gasped out, ”Wait…what! Get me out of here! I don’t want to die in a stupid game!” The cool voice carried on. ”And that concludes our tutorial. Good luck, and have a nice day!” Mika pinched her cheek. ”This has got to be some crazy dream. That’s right, you’ll wake up in your bed soon I-“Mika’s voice trailed off. Accept reality, you have to survive! her mind urged. That’s right, let’s go! Mika brushed herself off and started walking off into the distance. OOC: Sorry for posting so late guys!

"Alright, nice to meet ya Beatrice!", Emiko said with a slight smile. She turned around when she heard a man call out to them. Based from his comment, Emiko took it that he didn't notice his own animal features. She had to hold herself back from Beatrice's comeback. "Yeah, I take it from what you just said that you haven't noticed those yet?", Emiko replied as she lightly poked one of his tall tan rabbit ears. They were almost the same as Beatrice's except for the color. Something in Emiko's mind began to spark. Why did all this seem sorta...familiar? Did she encounter something like this before? She couldn't quite put her finger on it. She then looked behind him to see another girl coming towards them, says that she was glad there were more people here. "Hi there, so are you guys from the gaming center too?" When Emiko saw the girl's dress, everything clicked together in her mind. "Hey wait a second! Hold the phone! Don't we seem like the characters from that story? You know, 'Alice In Wonderland'?!"

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Great, since they avoided the first question, it was obvious that they had no clue either. The answer he got in return however was confusing. "Huh? What do you mean-" He started to ask only to cringe and try to cover his ears. The brat was so loud! Wait... Why couldn't he feel his ears? It was then he noticed the twitching feeling on his head and he threw his hands over it. He felt fur, but also the bliss of muffled sounds.
It was then he was able to see the bent rabbit, no, hare ears in front of his eyes. Todd guessed he had a tale, too. "Well that's new," he comment to himself before he blankly stared at the Alice brat, "Do you mind? Your voice is like nails on a chalkboard right now." Was it rude? Yes. Did he care? No, because he was pretty sure his ears were bleeding. The comment of Alice in Wonderland wasn't lost on him, it came to mind many times when he explored.

Beatrice, when reminded of that kiddy tale: "Alice in Wonderland" that her mother used to read over and over to her almost cried hearing the name, more like well, she teared up hearing it. She rubbed her eyes to keep them from flowing and then looked at all the characters that were standing in front of her. Yes, Emi was correct. This was Alice in Wonderland. How could it not be? We had the March Hare, the Doormouse, and me, the White Rabbit. It was quite fitting, she thought since she was the fastest on the track team. She also realized that Alice was annoying the Hare as she sighed. Beatrice did agree with him, her voice was quite unpleasant to her highly sensitive ears. "Well then," she started, hoping to catch all of their attention, "does anyone recall what we have to do in the game? I didn't think I would need to remember since I was never to believe we would be stuck in here like lab rats." Beatrice wasn't in the mood to be used like a lab rat, she had some Calculus to attend to when she gets back that was due the next day. God dammit, she wanted to get out now that she remembered that.

"Why do you have to be so damn rude, we don't even know each other." she looked him straight in the eyes then sat down leaning her back against a tree. She closed her eyes and let the sun beat down on her skin. "What exactly is this place?" she muttered quietly. "Well we can tell that we are each a different character but of what, that's pretty much all we need to know is what this is about and then we can find out about the objective of this sick game." Emiko glanced around at everyone there. They had Beatrice as the white rabbit, the man as the March Hare, the girl with the voice that hurt her mouse ears as Alice, and she was the Dormouse. She thought for a moment, then looked back at everyone. "Say, if we're the Dormouse, White rabbit, March Hare, and Alice...", she said as she pointed at each person when she said their "role", "Does that mean that there are other people here as the 'roles' of the Queen of Hearts, Caterpillar, Jabberwocky, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, and Mad Hatter?" She looked at Beatrice and the girl with the "role" of Alice, and thought about what they said. "Hmmm...wasn't it something that had to do with the maze?", she replied as she looked around the maze. Were they supposed to go through it? Was that what they had to do? "By the way, you two haven't told us your names. I'm Emiko Murakami, but you can call me Emiko or Emi for short. And I would advice you two to try to get along since we might be here for a while. And, girl who's 'Alice', I'm not trying to be rude but could you please refrain from yelling? All our ears are more advanced at the moment, so it kinda hurts our ears when you yell."

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Todd winced again hen the Banshee tore into him again. Jeeze, he was just telling it like it was since he had sensitive ears now. "Because you made me bored, then proceed to try and make my eardrums burst. I think my rudeness is called for," He bluntly informed her before taking his hands off of his ears.
"Well...The didn't really say what we had to do, just that we were the beta testers of a VRMMO,"he rattled off what he remembered, "Uh... lemme see if I can bring up my menu screen. I'm Todd, nice to meat you Murakami since you aren't offensive to my ears."
He concentrated for a bit before a holographic set up appeared before him. "Lessee... March Hare, decent stats with high speed and acc. and... wait....WHERE THE ******** IS THE LOG OUT BUTTON!?" he's played MMOs before, and there was one key factor missing.

Beatrice saw them both arguing uselessly and sighed. They were in such a situation where cooperation is needed and there you see them not getting along reminded her of those shows you watch on TV that she hates. "We must be in one of those reality TV shows," she thought, scratching her head, behind the ears, "This is just insane, that has to be it." Beatrice tried to think of how to play this game, since no one answered her questions before. Was it a good idea to look for others? Would it be a good idea to solve the maze now that we were inside? Would it be a good idea to stay in a group with such loud people? She didn't know! Beatrice can't even think at the moment with all the commotion and the confusion. She tried to attach to what Emiko said, she was the most calm around here besides the Hare. She then was quite surprised to see a screen next to Todd and then brushed up beside him and tip-toed to see. Maybe there was a game manual? AH! Who cares! She then sighed and stood back down to her normal height. "Lets start by finding our way around the maze, oh, by the way, I'm Beatrice, glad to meet fellow lab rats," Beatrice suggested as well as added, and now getting back to her suggestion, she stated, "it's better than standing around doing nothing."

"It's very nice to meet you my name is Leerin but you can call me Rin for short. So if this is actually based on Alice in Wonderland maybe the maze is based on everything that happens to Alice and everyone else." She said looking around the group of people. "I say we try and find all of the other characters to help us through the maze." She quickly added.==========================================================

"Nice to meet you Todd and Rin", Emiko said with a slight smile. She walked next to Todd so she could get a better view of his menu screen. Wow, she hadn't thought about bringing hers up. Heck she didn't even know they had menu screens. Emiko scanned Todd's screen, and stopped mid-way. Her blood ran cold. "Say...correct me if I'm wrong and just seeing things...but could you please inform me about what that means?", she said as she pointed at Todd's "Life Status", that only had one heart next to it. "Because doesn't that kinda mean that we only get one chance in this game? Like, we don't revive?" Emiko took a small, barely noticeable breath. She didn't want to scare everyone, especially Beatrice. They had to stay calm. She looked at Beatrice and Rin. "I agree, I think we should go in and try to find other people. I also think it would be wise not to split up, especially since we're in a maze. What do you think Todd?"

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ "This is not good, because no log out means no going back to the real world. ...Well I always wondered what it would be like to be the videogame character," Todd mentioned before his eyes landed on the tutorial screen. " Uh... guys.... I think you might want to know something about our game-time. The one life thingy.... yeah... that ain't our "get outta jail free" card. We die here, we die in RL," he flippantly announced as he shut down the menu screen and shoved his hands in his pockets.
Things didn't look so good, but hey if he goes down, he goes down in a videogame. The runt can't say that. He watched in detached amusement as the girls squabbled over whether or not to split up in the maze. Either way, he'd didn't want to be in the presence of Banshee, even if she had calmed down. "Doesn't matter to me, Splitting up means we cover more ground, but sticking together means we can keep an eye on one another. I'd personally go with splitting up, since more ground covered means we can find more "characters"," he explained his choice, then added offhandedly, "Plus, I get to save my hearing. I'm all for that."
