She flinched back from the hit, but was not determined to get this over with so they could spend some quality time together. She lashed back once more.

Likewise, he was thinking the sooner this was over, the sooner they could be alone. He would gladly take the fall any day for Sentry. But since this was a battle, he couldn't just let her win, she wouldn't like that anyway, and threw his own punch again, though his energy was weak.

Sentry was able to skip out of the way this time. He was growing tired, and she wished she could just kiss away his hurts. She swung once more, hoping to end this.

Much to his dismay, he dodged out of reflex and the battle continued. He hoped she would knock him out soon, so they could just be together.

She had been expecting it to be over, so was caught by surprise when he dodged and struck back. She gasped from the force, but managed to swing back.

Once she was sure she was down, she paused, panting. It had been a hard-won battle, but she didn't feel the sense of satisfaction she usually did from winning. When Warden opened his eyes, she went over and nuzzled him gently. <"As are you. You made me work very hard for that win, and it was a very narrow thing."> She pressed her nose to his and said, <"With our strength combined, we'll always be able to protect those we care for.">
Lyle had been watching the battle, more puzzled by the minute. There was a lot of nuzzling going on, almost as much of that as battling. When it was over he shrugged and want to the Bidoofs. "Come on, Sentry. I don't have Warden's pokeball, but I can bring him to be healed. You'll have to walk though, I can't carry you both." With that, he picked up Warden and carried him off to get healed, with Sentry trotting along beside him and looking up at her mate.
