The eternal chuckled lightly. "I'd be more than happy to accompany you, Serpe. You never know what you might find there. I find it fascinating." She looked up to the great expanse of the stars and smiled slightly. "There's a song out there for each of us, like the song you taught me when we were little. Sometimes I go to my moon and I sing it, like I'm teaching it what you taught me. Maybe my moon will remember." Maybe one day my moon will sing it back to me.

Turning back to her cousin, she briefly closed her eyes. "I don't really know all of what happened in the past, but there's a deep castle on my moon. I haven't even explored half of it. There are so many questions I have but I learn something every time I go. I know you will too. I'm excited to see what might be lurking on your piece of the universe."

Something told her they should spend more time together now. Lives were drifting apart and Kallichore didn't like it.

The Moon Kingdom? Kallichore pondered a moment and looked up at the moon. "It's up there. We can travel to it once a month during the full moon. I didn't see much of it, but it's full of ruins. The queen's ghost was there. She saved us from the ambush..." The eternal bowed her head in silence for the good people lost during the struggle. Serpentarius wasn't there that she remembered.

"I would assume we could learn something from it but I haven't been back since then. I don't know how much we can see and explore, but the queen said it was safe from the Negaverse. Chaos can't reach the moon." She looked up again at the orb in the sky. "It's very beautiful in a sort of... forlorn way. It's very quiet. Dead but peaceful. But if a ghost can live on there then I suppose all is not lost, right?"

Kallichore gave her cousin a smile. "Want to go someday?"

"That would be wonderful," came the reply, a smile forming on Kallichore's lips. It was sad that they couldn't see each other more often but the eternal made a vow to stick by her cousin and check in on her more frequently. Family was the most important thing. "We'll call each other when the next full moon arrives and we'll visit the ruins ourselves. Explore. Maybe we can learn a few things from them."

The next question made Kallichore frown. "I was... quite injured when we arrived on the moon. All I can remember is the queen saying it was a safe haven and that the Negaverse couldn't reach it. Maybe it was because of her lingering power... I don't know. It's hard to say." She turned to Serpentarius.

"We should ask her when we visit."

Kallichore nodded once. "Yes, it was a large Order meeting. So many people were there but too few cats to dampen the signals is my guess. Either way it turned into a slaughterhouse. I don't know how many people died but Princess Ares and General-King Zinkenite were there. Princess Polaris and Iris were there as well but we still took heavy casualties. I don't know much about what was going on peripherally. I was trying to keep everyone alive near me. Benitoite and his little friends..." The eternal sighed.

"...but you don't need to worry about it. What's done is done. At the last second the queen of the moon used her magic to spirit us away and that's how many of us survived. That's all that matters. My only hope is that such a slaughter will never happen again."

Kallichore nodded to her cousin. "Yes, we should patrol sometime soon. You know how to reach me any time. If you need help or just need someone to talk to, give me a call, okay? I'll do the same for you. New Years Resolution." With a smile the eternal placed her hands on Serpentarius' shoulders and pulled her in for a warm hug.

"...someday it'll all be over and peace will reign again. I'm going to do everything I can to make that happen."

Kallichore waved goodbye to her cousin, hoping they'd see each other again very soon. But for now, it was bedtime. There was much to be done in the morning and nobody liked a cranky Christa.
