Grinning as he saw his attack hit it's mark he yelped as the weight of her landing on his weapon caused it to jump in his grip, he hadn't expected her to do that. He really was going to beat her...slowly. Almost feeling giddy with happiness as he felt that calm leaving his system, it really was no good for him to feel like that while in a fight.

Her fist landed and took his breath away, air escaped his lungs rapidly. As he sucked in much needed air he rolled away and climbed up and onto his feet. "It was intended to hurt, why else would I do that?" He taunted as he directed a kick at her chest area. His weapon left, for now, on the ground under her weight.

"This isn't some childs schoolyard game."

Maia jumped up as her hit landed watching him roll and try to get air back into his lungs. He had the nerve to taunt her despite the fact that she had just punched his pretty good. "Don't taunt me," she growled feeling her anger still very close to the surface and boiling.

The kick he directed at her chest missed it's mark as she ducked back, but it came too close for comfort. She spun away from him and took a stance, knowing she was too close to try to attack him again with magic and would need to attack him physically.

She leapt to the side, very reminiscent of a ballerina, but it was what worked for her. She had long incorporated ballet into her fighting, it just felt natural, helping her to be quick and light on her feet despite the heels. Landing off to the side of his, she spun throwing out her leg intent on kicking him hard in the back with as much force as she could.

She was finally seeing him for who he was, not that this thought entered his mind for a single moment, but Maia was getting to see who the General was - had always been. He was not polite, well not always, and he was insulting and downright belittling.

Watching the eternal senshi he took note of her ducking his attack and her movements, there was a certain amount of grace there. While she had incorporated ballet, not that he knew this, he had no such thing to incorporate into fighting. Benitoite was straight up the sort who would do what he had to in order to win, or at least land a hit, including grabbing hair and tackling someone to the ground and rolling about on said ground with them. He'd done it before, with Kallichore, and had no issue in doing it again if he came out on top. But it seemed he didn't need to resort to such things, yet.

Seeing the kick coming his way, as he'd spun around just in time to see it, he ducked so her leg sailed over his head. While on the ground he kicked one leg out in a sweep, aiming to take the senshi's legs out from under her.

Maia hadn't expected Benitoite to be quick enough to dodge and she quickly realized she had misjudged her timing. Time flew by quickly in a battle and she needed to remember that. There wasn't anything she could do as his leg caught her before she even had the chance to bring the other to the ground, she would have jumped otherwise.

Instead she went down, hitting the ground, bottom, back and head. Her head dragging across something sharp, possibly a rock in the ground. Pain radiated through her head and her already damaged side. Her side was being sent through the ringer.

She rolled, attempted to quickly get herself away from Benitoite. Her head was throbbing and her vision blurred momentarily as she jumped up wincing, but righting itself again as she back away from the general. Her fist were raised, no matter the pain, she was ready for him. She wasn't about to let him take her down.

She wondered momentarily if she could get him to catch her leg, remembering the move she used on Chaonis in training once. She had to think on her feet so she decided to try it, jumping at him and kicking out her leg once more hard enough to hurt him if he didn't more or manage to catch it, but as fast as the other kick.

Watching her, waiting for her, he waited for her next move. He knew it would come, she wasn't likely to just give up and run off into the night, he wasn't taken by too much surprise when she kicked at him again. Rather than grab her incoming foot he pressed his hand to her leg, fingers only just curling around her foot in a loose semi hold, as he kept her foot from impacting with his nose. He did not need to feel what a broken nose felt like, he'd like to avoid that for as long as possible - possibly forever!

"I will give you credit, you are better than I'd thought. I'd thought your niceness, and seemingly pacifistic nature, was a cover up for an inability to fight at any decent level." Yup, poor Maia was getting to see just what Benitoite was like. He was not all that nice, he was honestly rather rude. Had this been something she'd never noticed or had he just never shown this side to her? Perhaps it was new, or something that had been slowly progressing and getting worse.

"I think we need to end this..." And by the way he said it he didn't have some nice., neat, and friendly, way in mind.

Maia held back her smile as he stopped her kick, playing right into her hands. The next time she saw Chaonis she needed to remember to give him the biggest hug she could, a tight squeeze.

She frowned at him backhanded comment, but didn't say anything as she stood their wobbling slightly, her leg still in his loose grip. She may have been cut and smacked her head really hard, but she still believed he would loose and she felt his little comment should have been used in reference to himself.

When he said they need to ended it, she wholly agreed, "Your right," she said simply before smirking as she twisted over, her leg turning in Benitoite's hand, her bottom coming up to face him, other leg poised to kick him hard in the gut.

It was a quick motion, from turn to kick, as her heel connected hard with his stomach, she hoped with enough force to knock him clean off his feet. She was sure he would have a very large bruise very soon. She kicked Chaonis in the same manner, he'd been wearing armor and was still winded.

As soon as her feet were back on the ground she hopped up again and went after the smart mouthed General, intent to grab the front of his jacket and slam her fist into his stomach. She was showing him just how well she could fight, when it became a necessity. She had a message for the negaverser.

Land on his a** was something he certainly did but he also rolled, from where he was on the ground, to avoid the incoming attack. He was sure his stomach, and likely his tail bone area, would be bruised soon enough . It was like he could feel the bruises forming, actually he was sure that's just what he was in fact feeling. Still on the ground he looked up at her. His breathing was coming in gasps as pain shot through him each time he took a breath, it hurt. Being injured, and beaten up in general, was nothing new to him though.

Climbing to his feet slowly, one arm about his mid section, he let his arm drop before he lunged for her. Both gloved hands aimed for that short red hair as he hoped to get a hold of it and use that as leverage to bounce her head off of his knee.

"If you intend to end a fight...do make sure you finish it and don't leave the person able to recover." Scolding her.

Maia hadn't expected him to recover as quickly as he had, so her punch had missed it's mark and his hands had found there way into her hair and were gripping it tightly. Maia since her battle with Tisiphone was none to keen on anyone having hands in her lovely red curl, not that the corrupted senshi had touched, so much as evaporated her once long curls.

She winced, ignoring his words in favor of balling up her dainty little fist and slamming it into his side before pushing hard to get him away from her. He was extremely cocky for someone who kept ending up on his butt. Maia wasn't cocky, but currently she was angry, he still underestimated her and what she could do. She didn't understand it, she was definitely giving him a bit more that a run for him money.

"You still think you can beat me, don't you," she said slightly irritated arms crossed and glaring.

His hands were ripped from her hair as he staggered and stumbled to the side, away from her, as she hit him. One hand rubbing at his abused side. "I do indeed, senshi."

His mid section hurt, ached, and called for attention and the abuse to stop. But he really had no choice but to push it to the side. He couldn't let her win and he wasn't about to give up - that was worse than loosing to her! Gritting his teeth, physically gritting them, he sucked in a deep, long, breath before letting it out slowly. His weapon was called into his gloved hands and he swung it as much as his abused mid section would allow.

"I won't lose to you." He stated, confident in his words. Though internally...he did wonder.

Maia jumped back out of the way of the sharp weapon that had already sliced her skin once. She wasn't too interested in a going a second round with the spear, she was pretty certain she had already further damages her side continuing to fight the Benitoite.

Maia stepped back and shook her head, as if you say no, and that he would lose tonight. She frowned, sighing lightly, not liking what she was about to do, but she wanted to prove her point. Benitoite needed to understand that she wasn't to the trifled with.

"Haunting Melody," she called out the haunting song filling her souls, jagged music notes popping into a existence as she sang out the song that gave her goosebumps, her hair strand on end, and heart race. She remember what Castor said about the attack, how it made him feel he was cut off from his star. She didn't know what it would make Benitoite feel, but the panic the attack would cause would help to push her point.

The notes rushed forward at Benitoite, Maia watching all the while, not wanting to look away.

Watching her, waiting, for the next move he was prepaired for either a physical or a magical attack, having already experienced her magic twice. He was sure, for the most part, that whatever she threw at him he could handle.

When she called her next attack he knew he couldn't avoid the music notes, he didn't have the time for it, and figured it would be like before. Only it wasn't. The song which came from the senshi caused goosebumps to rise on his arms and shudder to pass through him. This wasn't the same song, not by a long shot.

The feeling that settled in, almost like it was bone deep, was tragic - the only word he could come up with for it. He'd never been all that alone in the world, never wanted to be, but he felt like he was right now and it unbalanced him. It was without thought, or consideration for how he would appear to this senshi, that his arms wrapped about himself and he seemed to shrink in on himself as he stood there. That lonely feeling, something so foreign to him, caused a deep sadness to envelope him and then a hallow feeling. It all happened so seamlessly, the shifting in feelings. It shook him mentally, this should not be happening. he should not be feeling like this! He had no reason to! It was just her magic! Mentally he tried to tell himself this, tried to shake this feeling. But as he tried to shake it he worked himself up further and further until he hit a point he only ever hit when encountering a spider - a panic attack.

It started off simple really, it wasn't even ntoiced y him, too busy trying to coach himself out of these feelings that were so forigne to himself. By the time he noticed the shaking was no longer fine little twitched and shakes but they were clearly pronounced. His breathing that had speed up was now giving him a hard time getting air into his lungs. He felt his knees shake and give under him, bringing him to the ground. His arms about himself he raised one to fumble and undo the clothe about his throat, it was too tight. Wide slate eyes locked onto the senshi. This was her power...he could see why she was confident now. He wouldn't come at her so casually next time - and there would be a next time.

Finally he loosened the strangle hold about his neck the black fabric seemed to have. But it didn't help as he tried to suck in air like a starved person would inhale food, or try to at least, but a gasping sound came from him as he tried and failed to get in enough air. The hand which had still been about himself moved to place itself on the ground, to keep himself positioned and upright.

Maia took in the reaction, though it was not what she had been expecting not totally, it was not unexpected either. People had always reacted differently to her attack, so she never fully knew what to expect. His reaction was perfect. She looked scared, confused and more so he was fully distracted.

She made her way over to him as he seemed fold in on himself. It took everything in her to be strong and not run in the other direction. She didn't like what she was seeing, but she knew she needed to see this once threw a bit further. She had no intentions on killing him, she didn't think she had it in her, but she could issue a warning to the boy.

She grabbed him by the now loosened black fabric and lifted him up, hoping the action would help him focus more on her and less on his panic. "Do you understand now. I am stronger that you think. Before their was the dark mirror court, there was the blood moon court and I was one of them. Do not underestimate me Beniotite, next time I may not be so forgiving. Understand that this is not my limit, I've had combat training, I've walked the line, and I've seen death." This was not entirely the truth, but it was her warning to him, one she suspected knowing Beniotite would be repeated.

She closed her eyes and tossed him to the side roughly before turning to walk away. She pulled her crystal out from it hiding place, calling to activate it and singing her rainbow bridge coming into existence. She ran up it, over the tree, in view for a bit, but than she, her song, and the bridge all disappeared. She no doubt he could still feel her, but at least she put some distance between them. With that she took off at a run.
