Up in the hayloft, Nyx ran quickly to the large window that overlooked the entrance she had just slammed shut. It offered a perfect vantage point of Tsui going rabid on the gross youma. The girl at least had enough sense to stay away from the mess spilling out of the bottom. Good, that bulldozer can do what she has done so well thus far: barge in. Hopefully barge in a few fists to that thing's face (wherever it was), because that tiger senshi's punch packed hard. It was a begrudgingly admitted fact, for at least it was suiting their cause. "When I give you the signal, get out of the way!" the phantasmagoria senshi yelled down. There was no time to wait for a confirmation. Let's see if she has cat-like reflexes, too. Nyx all but threw a small table and lamp across the space to clear a path for her target: the gargantuan 120lb haybale. The small tranche of barnhands at Ravenwood used it for everything up in the loft except feeding the horses - it was too unwieldy to get down and, by now, too old. She was going to miss that 'bale. But right now, as far as she knew, it was their best bet for taking down the large youma below and saving the barn. It was only by the celestial strength that came with the fuku that Nyx was able to shove it through the open window. "DODGE!"

Nyx yelled something down to her, but to be fair, Tsui wasn't paying all that much attention. When one was fighting a grotesque creature made from pure nightmare fuel, it was rather hard to focus on anything else besides to keep the thing at bay and not letting it kill her. She kept pummeling it with punch after punch, refusing to let up and reigning down insults on it too as it kept swinging around. "Attack me? Fine! Attack my fellow Senshi? Fine! But don't you dare hurt animals! Not on my watch!" Somehow, the blasted thing managed to thrust its neck around with enough force to loosened Tsui's grip and sent the Senshi of Tigers flying. Normally she'd have little trouble landing on her feet, but the strength behind that throw could not be denied, and it seemed that the youma had unintentionally saved her life, as the moment she hit the ground and rolled, she heard the other Senshi shout. "DODGE!""Dodge? Dodge what?" Tsui managed to mutter her question before she saw exactly what she was talking about, and no sooner did she manage to scamble to her feet was she running out of that projectile's path. She cursed loudly and dove to the ground, just avoiding the laylift and hearing the youma's pained howl drown out her shout. "Holy shi-!" Nyx's aim was true, and the youma had just enough strength to lift its neck and give one last, pitiful mewl before falling limp, the unfathomable mess that made up its underbelly bubbling and absorbing into the hay as the rest of it began to fade to dust. Tsui looked back at it and then flashed a thumbs up to the green-haired Senshi, announcing proudly even as she remained on the ground. "I think you got it! Remind me never to piss you off again..."

A small cough tickled its way free - a remnant from the jab to her organs earlier compounded with all of the dust that hay just kicked up - but Nyx smiled widely to the tiger senshi and returned the thumb's up. The breeze high in the hayloft cooled the sweat on her brow, which formed not so much from exertion as dread. Thankfully, she could shed that weight freely now. She had heard her companion's battle cry and found it quite agreeable, noble even, which no doubt added to her more agreeable mood. Not to mention how Tsui had held her own with that disgusting blob of a youma. Its death cries marked victory and relief. Leaping down from the hayloft, Nyx's boots hit the ground as the youma dissipated with a poof of sparkling black dust. "Same to you," she replied, offering a hand up. Tsui did learn quickly. "You did good down here. Didn't even set off half of the barn." Indeed, the horses inside were already beginning to settle down, with only a bundle of curious nickers every now and again.

Tsui wasn't usually the type to accept help, but she was in no condition to turn it away, and she graciously accepted the hand that was offered to her. Within seconds, she was standing upright again, dirty, filthy and bruised, but otherwise alive and well, and she was eager to give another round to the youma, but it seemed that death felt it necessary to show it mercy this evening. It was easy to boast when their enemy was being carried away with the wind, and who would Tsui be if she didn't give a smug remark. "And let that be a lesson to you to not mess with two animal lovers again!" Speaking of, the sounds of the horses' curious whinnies and nickers reminded her of their previous predicament, and she was quick to turn around to face Nyx, arms behind her back and one black boot kicking the dirt at her feet. This sudden shy spell was her way of acknowledging her guilty conscious, and if there was one thing she had learned from her allies, it was to try to be a little more humble and accepting towards others' requests. "Alright, I'm not too good with apologies, but I am really sorry about all of this," Tsui said, starting by trying to acknowledge her flaws and hoping that'd be enough to gain some leniency from Nyx. She was genuinely sorry, and it wasn't just for putting the horses in danger. "I didn't mean to put your horses in danger and I'm sorry for hitting you. I didn't hurt you too badly, did I?"

Nyx snorted, suddenly blustery at the (correct) insinuation that she had been given a good wallop. The dust in her throat was probably going to aggravate her into the night, at least. Any sparks of a sassy comeback or ill will died in the coals at Tsui's apology. She would have to keep an eye on her in future encounters, but the tone felt sincere. "Nah, I've seen worse. You mentioned an ambush, so I'm thinking you have, too. There was one particularly bad one..." Such an event was not mentioned casually by the phantasmagoria senshi and it came through in her voice. Steady, cautious, reverent in its own way. She began opening the barn doors again, making use of her greater senshi strength while the opportunity lasted. "Let's just say 'I told you so,' and not think of it agai-" Ambush. Perhaps it was the dirt or the situation or everything all at once, but Nyx couldn't help but give herself a quick hit to the forehead. Of course! "You! I ran into you!" Elegant as ever. ChibiGingi You didn't think she'd forget entirely!

Tsui was fine with letting the encounter end with another 'I told you so' to her record at this point, even if it meant given Nyx the victory today. Considering the hair-raising youma that've dealt with already and the fisticuffs they partook in prior to that, she figured she could afford a pseduo-loss under her belt. She got to see the horses, go hand-to-hand with a rather ornery senshi, and worked together with said ornery senshi, so all in all, a good day. "Yeah, much worse. I survived Painite, so what could possibly be more terrifying then tha-" Her sudden shout made Tsui jump a good distance in the air and she instinctively rose her fists in defense, half expecting the Senshi to came charging at her all of a sudden. Yet, there was no fist to the face, and Tsui blinked a few times before she finally caught on to what Nyx was getting at. She gave a laugh, though it wasn't entirely in mockery of her fellow senshi, but out of the need to hide just how spooked she was for a moment. "Haha, yeah, funny that you remember things at weird times, right? Though maybe it wasn't exactly like that... now that I'm thinking about it, we might have run into each other. Given our temperaments, I think that's fitting, right?" She held not anger towards Nyx for that, oddly enough, but it was nice to know that she remembered. It wasn't much, but it was something. Aqua Drageen You know? For a moment, she kind of did.

A confused pause immediately followed Tsui's reaction, seeing as she really hadn't meant to startle or be quite so eccentric. Realizing what she had done, Sailor Nyx eased up again easily, even lending a chuckle in with the laughter. It was a little off, given their situation - though, all in all, a much more pleasant memory. "Like fate," she agreed. There was no use apologizing for her attitude back then as, well, it still seemed completely appropriate. War called for such things - which lead to another matter. "I don't do groups," Nyx began, "I protect civilians and my own right now, others when I can. That said, you can look for me in a fight, if you need the help." She smirked and, not one for emotional shows, continued right on, "Now, we really should be splitting up, unless you'd like another 'I told you so'?" she finished in a playful verbal poke. ChibiGingi I think we're at a wrap up point? <3

Tsui tilted her head at Nyx's proclamation of working on her own, but it wasn't something completely foreign to the Tiger senshi either. Most of her hunts usually were done another until recently, so for her to even try to question or lecture Nyx just seemed like a bad idea. Maybe some senshi just did better on their own, Tsui thought, so she let the topic go. For now. "I don't really need help often, but I'll give you a call, if you can pull yourself away from your horses long enough, anyway." It was nothing more than a joke, and she hoped Nyx wouldn't have taken offense to it. Before she could, though, it seemed that the other senshi was eager to get the trespasser out of there, and Tsui didn't have the energy to push her boundaries again, especially after knowing what she was capable of and what they've been through. She shook her head and immediately turned around to leave, calling back to the other senshi and giving her a wave. "Nope, got enough of those lectures to last me a lifetime! Take care of yourself!" Tsui was a little disappointed that she was leaving without petting a single horse, but she'd simply have to come back again later, maybe when Nyx was in a better mood. She knew nothing of Nyx except what she revealed about herself today, but somehow Tsui had a feeling that the other girl simply wouldn't let her, or anyone, waltz in there and have their way. And that was oddly comforting for the Tiger senshi. It was always good to know that there were others in her court that could take care of themselves.
