Kona listened to him as she continued to lounge on the branch, bringing her claws out to scrape against the sides under her. "You do have a point," she commented as she brought one paw up to look at the claws. "Especially about the prides. Though I assume that is probably why neither of us are in prides, correct?" Though it didn't matter to her, she wondered what had caused the hybrid to have the hatred for lions that he did.

"Natually." He chirped. "I don't know about you, but I wouldn't join a pride unless I was forced to, or if it greatly appealed to my interests." That, and he had inherited his mother's need for adventure. The desire to explore uncharted territory, embark on dangerous adventures, and collect treasures the likes of the world had never seen before. Of course it was the latter of the three that had inspirated Mzuka to become a petty thief to begin with. As stated before he only had a slight idea of how bad it was to steal from others. As far as he was concerned it was surviving off of what others could afford not to keep.

Kona stretched out a bit, "I don't think I would ever join a pride; too many rules," she replied, "It's so much easier being out here and living however we want." Though she had to admit, it would be nice to not worry about making sure she stayed in an area with a decent food supply. Hunting would be easier with others. She nodded to the bag, "Wherever you go, you may want to keep that somewhere besides behind a rock. You never know who would find it there."

"I'll find string." Mzuka said after a brief silence. "Then I can just carry it around." He smiled. The silence again erupted and echoed again caused a temporary end to the two felines conversation. The male glanced over to his right for no reason. Staring at the sky lost in a world of thoughts and enjoying the sun warm his already hot face. "My name's Mzuka." He said, thus ending the pause in the duo's chatter.

"That would probably be best," the leopardess replied, "Then you'll be able to keep it close to you at all times. If someone tries to grab it, you'll know." When the cheeton went silent, the female leopard gazed out over the horizon. She should probably get going and at least find something to eat; she had been in the tree for a while now after all. She gave a nod when he introduced himself, "Kona'Vatn."

He smiled again, a tired gaze replacing his hyper grin from before. "Kona... I have an idea." He hoped she didn't mind too much him shortening her name all of a sudden. "I quite enjoy talking with you; and it would be a shame if I have to wander aimless alone again without anyone as enjoyable as you for company." He breathed in through his nose, filling his lungs with the hot savannah air. "So I am curious as to if you would like to accompany me on my travels?" He then looked out at the horizon again. His mind continuing to aimlessly wander the skys.

Kona yawned as he put forth his request. Was she interested in traveling? She had barely met this guy and didn't have any idea where he was going. It would at least be an interesting trip, if nothing else. It didn't matter if she liked the place or not; if not, she could leave the guy there and go off on her own again. She gave a shrug, "Sure."

A smile crept up onto Mzuka's face. Not a giddy, overly happy grin, but a rather small smile that indicated a small ping of sadness lurking under the wearer's skin. Of course, any remote evidence of sadness or tiredness was quickly replaced by the leopons regular cheeky grin; as he had turned to look at his new travelling companion. "I don't know about you..." He said, putting his bag between his teeth, muting some of his next few words. "But all this excitment, is making me hungry."

The leopardess stood up on the branch and stretched out before working her way down, jumping from branch to branch before finally touching the ground. She stretched one more time and let out a wide yawn. "Shall we scrounge up something to eat, then?"

The fact that his grin remained was a good enough answer on it's own. He lept down from his perch up in the sky. Half sliding down the trunk of the tree half using Kona's method of leaping from branch to branch as he went. Finally he landed back on the ground, and a large thump comformed this. "I follow 'hu 'iss Konda." He messed up over half his sentence, mostly because speaking with a bag in your mouth is near-impossible. Or at least for Mzuka it was near impossible.

Kona nodded at him. "Well there's a water source not too far from here. I'm sure we can find something there." She turned and tossed her head slightly. "Come on!"

And follow he did. Trailing after his companion, someone he barely knew, and yet already trusted to not be a threat in the future. Perhapes Kona was someone he could potentially become good friends with. Perhapes not. Whatever they ahead of him... Her... Them, Mzuka could not even begin to see. For whatever reason, this made him smile. The feeling of not knowing, or rather the unknown itself was what gave him slight glee. He caught up to Kona, half-skipping next to her, warming his face in the golden sun. He also happened to still be wearing that dorky grin of his. His bag threatening to drop out of his mouth and be left laying on the ground, a mile behind the two felines. But it didn't drop, instead it stayed firmly between his teeth. If he had said anything, he would have badly messed it up because of his sack of jewels. Instead, Mzuka remained silent. Smiling now, but not nearly as wide. Today had been good to him. He gained treasure, made a friend, a friend that was travelling with him at that; and he had smiled more today than he had ever before while living in the jungle. Today was full of promise, hope, sheer joy, and treasure. And the best part was it was only just beginning...
