"Why the hell would any of you think I would want to poison you." Ofelia's accent seemed to drop, or at least she spoke slow enough that she "You and Rep, and so many others, saying that I'm crazy enough to put poison in people's food." She kept her tone even as she spoke, though it almost sounded like the words and voice weren't her own without her accent.
She stopped tossing food in the trash and turned to look at Bix, her gray eye almost smoldering with inward anger. Her whole posture was no longer tense, in fact she looked a little too relaxed, but the amount of anger she was directing at him could no be overlooked.
"I don't care if you're joking, but . . . cooking and baking is all I have. I am useless at everything else, with everyone else, and to have people say that I'd poison them is just a slap in the face." A sigh escaped her lips and she placed a hand over her missing eye. "Everyone here means everything to me, but if no one can trust me than what use am I?" She hadn't meant this outburst, she hadn't. . . it was rough.
" . . .sorry, nevermind. Jus' guess that was boilin' on mah mind." Her accent was back, and Ofelia started to move towards packing up her supplies for Bix to take. "Ah know yer not really dead anymore, an' Ah wanna believe yer okay wit' me an' it was jus' a joke an'. . . " She trailed off.

With that much anger so obviously pointed towards him, it was natural that Bix jumped to the defensive. He also was clearly not at fault here. His voice rose an octave and he waved his arms. "Whoah you brought up poisoning people. I didn't! I was joking with you. Jesus!" He sounded exasperated. "When have I ever acted like that with you?" Bix's own eyes now registered genuine damage. I also am pretty sure I was asking for cooking advice... why are you acting like I am the bad guy here? I'm sorry that other people are jerks. You are my friend." Bix backed up a step and shook his head. His face was red, tense and clearly showing the knotted state of his gut right now. "Seriously I think all my friends think the worst of me.." He mumbled. "It took me dying. I come back and I get yelled at, punched, blamed, there's screaming and crying.. I get accusatory stares." Bix looked Ofie straight in the eye. "Not a single smooth transition. Not one. It's like everyone was just waiting to let loose on me all at once."

"How am Ah supposed ta act?! Bix, Ah killed ya! Ah used mah own two hands ta attack yer form, an' Ah laughed the entire time. Ah...Ah can' jus' think that didn' happen!" The redhead moved her hand over her eye again. "Ah. . .Ah hate mahself fer it! Ah'm not mad at ya, Ah'm scared of ya 'cause Ah felt yer body go cold, Ah saw ya fade inta the ground an' vanish."That memory was painful and it still kept her up some nights, even when she was already awake to begin with. It was like a bad wound she couldn't and wouldn't heal, not with time or any medicines, and even now just looking at Bix she made her want to scream and cry. It was all her fault and now he was acting like she hated him, which she didn't. It was far from it, far from it, and she did everything she could to stay calm. And that didn't help, because eventually she just snapped and launched herself a Bix. Overly shaking, too tightly hugging arms wrapped around him as Ofelia buried herself into his chest, her childish wails somewhat muffled. This is what she wanted to do, her brain was telling her this wasn't really okay because Bix was angry and could hit her, but dammit she wanted to cry as hard as possible and get it out. "Ah'm sorry, Ah'm sorry, Ah'm sorry, Ah'm sorry." That was all she could say, over and over and over and over.

There was a moment where he wasn't sure that a hug was coming. He couldn't tell what she was feeling but she'd been angry and Ofie was the type of girl who could get a little rough, even when happy. When she eventually squeezed him and threw herself into his chest, Bix could only let out a tightly held breath and hug her back. He let Ofie cry for a few silent moments on his part. The hunter rubbed her back and waited until her sobs slowed somewhat. "You followed orders. I heard what happened. Don't you think I've already tried to figure out what I would do in the same situation? If I wouldn't follow orders too? Sun hunters. It's our job." He sagged a bit, leaning against the kitchen wall. "Let the other divisions argue and debate and defend." As he muttered it, he realized just how true the words were and stared off into space as if he were somewhere else a moment."If we weren't when we came here, we're those people now."

If Ofelia was trying to talk it was all completely untellegable, her sobs and wails and Bix's shirt mostly making a mess of anything and everything. She didn't really have much care that she was making his clothes absolutely gross, or that she was making a bigger fool of herself. All that mattered was she could hold Bix in her arms again, in a hug she loved and hearing the voice of one of her greater friends. She had been scared she lost it all, that it would always be her fault, and so she just kept crying until the tears would eventually stop.
Bix was talking now, reassuring her, and the teen listened with a few sniffles here and there. One of her hands was still firmly planted against Bix's back, her fingers holding into the fabric of his shirt for dear life, but her other hands she used to wipe the tears from her eye and try to settle her nose. He said they were suns, it was their job and if it'd been him? He'd have done it too. That felt. . . a little refreshing to know, seeing as she knew Jerry and Rep had attacked without hesitation, so maybe it wasn't just cruelty on her part. It meant she was a good Sun, one that followed commands, and that was somewhat calming too. If only for the fact that it meant if she'd changed then Bix would have torn her asunder as well, of course.
"Uwh....hic...hic. . ." When she did try to speak it was mostly sounds, still a good sign that she was calming down, and Ofelia kept her face buried in his chest. "Does...does this mean...yer...gonna fergive me?" It sounded horrible to ask, but she had to know. It wasn't the thought that her relationship with Before depended on this, she'd almost forgotten, but it was more or less the feelings between the two here now.
Bix was one of her best friends. She didn't want him to hate her.

When Ofie was finally able to talk, Bix wrapped his arms completely around her and gave her a squeeze. "I don't have to forgive you. But if you need me to say it anyway, yeah, I forgive you." His gross shirt was the last thing on his mind right now. Though there was no guarantee he wouldn't tease her about it later.

"Wahahjsdadasds." That was all it took to make Ofelia sob more, and she moved her hand back from around her face so that way she could properly hug Bix tight. Her whole body was shaking, though she wasn't heartbroken or sad anymore. These were tears of relief, tears of welcome, and somehow among her crying she managed to laugh a bit. It was just so much, finally a horrible weight from her chest, and everything she'd been holding on to like a possessive child just slipped from her grasp.
"Welcome home, Ah missed ya Ah love ya welcome home welcome home."

He wasn't sure that first part was words but Bix laughed a bit. "Thanks. Really. Like I said, almost no one has really seemed very happy to see me. So.." He squeezed her. "I do appreciate it." After another squeezing hug he pulled her back from himself, slightly more difficult than expected, and glanced at his shirt and her face. "C'mere." With practiced, big brother, dipped his hand under his shirt and yanked it up to wipe her face. He was diligent, if not a bit forceful about it. It was very obvious that he'd been a practiced older sibling before coming to Deus. He was an expert on snotty face wiping. "There we go." His disgusting shirt dropped back down, sloppier than the start.

Ofelia kept sniffling, even as Bix wiped her face, though her honest surprise and thankfulness at the unexpected move had stopped most of her tears. It was pretty interesting to see that one whole side of her face was dry - the side without an eye in its socket - while the other was red and puffy from her silly hysterics. With her shirt back on his chest Ofelia used the palm of her hand to smooth out her cheek and rub the back of her mouth, doing her best to keep herself from bawling all over again.
It was like her anger from moments ago had never happened. That was just how glad she was to see him, to know she was forgiven and everything would go back to normal. Except.
" . . . now Ah guess....Ah gotta properly apologize ta Clover, fer callin' him a liar." In a roundabout way she had, of course, but not directly.

Bix actually, while she spoke, pulled off his t-shirt. He wasn't just flashing skin, he was wearing a plain white undershirt underneath, but the shirt had ridden up to shown a couple new scars on his extremely pale skin. There was an 8' cut along his abdomen and a 4" wound on his ribs. The latter caused directly by Caelius getting him with a dagger while he was a monster. Bix quickly tugged himself to be covered and rolled up the gross tee and stuffed it in his back pocket. "Clov-" he squinted then had a moment of realization. "Oh! Before!" She had a hard enough time believing Bix himself, it was probably an argument with Before. "Everything good? Is he good?" Before had acted oddly when he'd seen him. Of course... everyone had.

Ofelia took the moment where Bix stopped to ask a question to reach over and pull his shirt up. She didn't ask permission, she didn't explain herself, but instead one hand held the shirt and the other touched the new injuries. It was too large to be from Rue, the other one too single, and without trying to say anything else she just let his shirt go. "What? Oh, yeah, we. . . .um...had a fallin' out on account'a what Ah did ta ya."
At the mention of Before Ofelia's cheeks turned red, and she turned and looked away from the albino for a moment. It passed as she tapped the side of her head "He blamed me fer yer death, said Ah shouldn' raised mah hand an' that...he hated me fer it."

Bix turned pink and froze a moment as Ofie looked at his scars. One of them had been from his 'death' the other she just hadn't seen before, when a reaper had almost killed him. He shook the flush off when she let it go silently. "I'm sorry about that." Bix frowned. So Before had gotten a little unreasonable. Bix didn't blame him, but at the same time, he wasn't blaming anyone. It was hard to predict how anyone would act in a situation like that. "Well I don't blame anyone who raised a weapon against me. If it makes you feel better. And... I'll try to talk to him. Explain that."

"Ah. . .didn' think fightin' wit' him would hurt as much as it has. Ah'm a bit too scared ta go an' see him, ta ask fer fergiveness 'gain." The last time Ofelia had seen him was when she ran off, ready to go out and get revenge on things if it would make everything easier.
She didn't recall him coming to visit her in the infirmary, not in the slightest. That whole period was blank, so the first person she recalled seeing was Melvin. If she'd known Before was there, how worried he'd been, perhaps her feelings of hesitation would be different.
As Bix offered to go and talk to Before she shook her head, blushing deeply and looking a little more than awkward. "Ah....dun wanna bother ya. It's...mah problem an' Ah shouldn' be nervous ta talk wit' him 'gain, but. . . " Her whole face was practically turning into a tomato. "After we talked last time Ah went an' nearly got mahself killed in the haunted house - Ah'm not even sure yer words would get him ta look mah way anymore."

Ofie kept looking more awkward by the second and so Bix slung an arm around her shoulder in comfort. Somehow all he'd ended up doing was comforting people since he'd been back from the dead. It wasn't exactly what he'd expected to happen. "Well I'm going to talk to him myself about some other things but.. If your honest with him, everything will be alright." It was pretty generic advice, but he hoped it would be adequate. "Be honest with your apology and try not to get... other things in the way. Like pride or stubbornness." Bix shrugged. "He should respond well to that."

Ofelia took the chance, with Bix hugging her, to totally wrap him in a hug again. Hugs were amazing, not enough people at Deus liked to hug one another (which was a shame) and it almost seemed like she just wanted to confirm his existence in the feel of her arms with each squeeze. Of course she did let go though, didn't want to be too clingy, and she frowned a bit when she came to realize she was putting Bix in a bad place. He just came back from the dead and she was whining about getting into an argument.
"When the time comes, or Ah find a way, Ah'll say Ah'm sorry. Thanks as always fer givin' me good advice, Ah'm glad yer back." She grinned at him, gave another hug-squeeze, and then moved back towards all the food. "It's funny how we got off track here an' started talkin' 'bout mah problems - we need ta get ya some food, right? Fer yer room?"
