Calanoth continued his steady climb after her. Her lack of interest at this point didn't phase him. The flight had only just begun. She would come to see that he was speaking the truth. His only reaction was a snarl of rage as another bronze slipped in against her. He thrust his wings hard, lunging for the beast but he was too late as Suunath, beautiful fiery Suunath had taken care of the offending creature.
Calanoth crooned darkly, projecting not words but a sense of approval of her quick and violent retaliation. He followed her into her dive.
Z'fer's voice rose with the others of protest as the rider made a grab for Kindra.

Scarath felt only fleeting pity for the bronze that dared. He should have known the gold was not yet ready to be caught. The large bronze followed, but did not try to get any closer than he was. Yet. Time would come for that later. Sunnath dove; Scarath winged over and held his wings tight to his body in his dive. The manuver while elegant, and bringing a word of praise from His, did not bring him any closer to the shining gold. Perhaps after what had happened that was good.

Nachith was not taking this Flight terribly seriously, as he was in it purely for the joy flying, of chasing, of admiring the glimmering Queen in the air. It was a chance to show off, and little more - oh, he would have no objections if she were to find him fit enough to fly her, but he knew that golds preferred their bronzes, and he wasn't fussed.
He kept well away from the large and too-serious metallics, and used the space that gave him to fly a fancy loop-de-loop that cost him even more distance.

Hatteth caught a glimpse of the brown who'd caught his Hyweth. He hissed a warning at the other brown, but it looked like he wasn't even trying in this Flight. Fine, stay back, then. Stay out of Hatteth's way.
When Suunath dove, Hatteth responded quickly. He tucked in his wings and plummeted after her, trying to barrel past the other males and managing to gain some ground.

Plexith found himself in the jostle of dragons chasing the Gold and strive to gain some altitude so that he could better watch the prize, let them fight midst themselves..he was willing to wait and watch for the right moment to strike. Unlike the last fight where he has been quite vocal in his claims he was quite silent now, determination and focus keeping him so.

Suunath grumbled, there was Brumath speaking to her again, she couldn't help but respect the old dragon and he had closed in on her too. Perhaps she allowed him to move closer, no one except Suunath would know and she wasn't telling.
"This is not home, there are many i do not know but it matters not which Weyr, just that they are worthy!" she graced the brown with words but she made it clear in her tone that it was the last she would say and that she only spoke that much due to respect for the old Brown. He could try and catch her but she wouldn't 'let' any of the males catch her on purpose, not even beloved Tyeth. They ALL had to prove themselves to her, some were getting close but not too close, they had seen her force a bronze away, she had shown them she wasn't to be trifled with.

(18, 2, 4, 1, 4 ) Brumath thought aloud, keeping up his pace but gaining no more ground for the time being. His rider, now standing before the gold rider, had a great love of tradition. The correct order. How things were done. How did you move forward if that was all you saw?

Calanoth took his lead and pressed it a little closer. He did not want to lose it before she was ready to choose. He kept up his crooning to her. See? Calanoth was the best. He was large and Impressive without being bulky and awkward like some bronzes. As for the browns? Why did she pay them any attention?
He was tempted to try some sort of trick, but so far she hadn't seemed drawn to theatrics.

Hatteth wasted no time on words. The queen didn't appreciate them any way. He put all his attention on flying, on straining forward to gain on the beautiful gold. He might be small for a brown, but his size was an advantage here; he was able to squeeze through the pack of males, swerving between the larger browns and bronzes to make his way towards the front of the group.

He pulled out of the dive to pace the gold. Watching for her next trick to try throwing them off. Scarath saved his strength for the moment. He had a feeling this might be a long strenious flight. Good thing he hadn't put any effort into the crimson's flight. He was pleased when he heard Sunnath say that any dragon might win her, as long as he was worthy. That was good.

Tyeth glowered at those around him and suddenly lurched in the Brown nearby, causing the dragon to fall back with an angry bellow. All was fair in love, and unlike these deluded fools, Suunath only gave her conscious thought to him outside of Flight. He wanted her thoughts in-Flight on him as well, though.
The maneuver had tossed out a competitor, but Tyeth had fallen behind. He strengthened his wingstrokes, trying to catch back up to the pack without losing his stamina. He might need it later.

Pipith was never much of a talker during Flights, unless it was to argue with the other males, but thus far, no one had raised his ire. There was plenty of time left of that, but for now, his focus was completely on flying, on getting closer to the foregin gold...but not too close, because the last thing he wanted was to be attacked and forced to drop out of the competition. That would be humiliating.

Hmm. For all that he was in this mostly for the fun of it, he supposed he probably should put in some effort - he didn't want to insult a Queen, after all! In the interest of not getting himself into some kind of trouble, the little brown put on a burst of speed to catch up after his fooling about.

It seems that his waiting was not in vain and with a quick flick of his wings the Bronze managed to pull closer to the golden prize dancing in front of them all. Rather then boast of his move however he kept his head in the game, determined in a way he never had been for a Green.

Suunath glared at those that were catching up, why wasn't her Tyeth up there with her? .. why was he hanging back?... Suunath wasn't happy at all but there were males chasing her so she had to fly, to draw it out She would prove to any that doubted her for her size that she was just as good, if not better than any other Gold before.
Kindra hoped that Tyeth was just waiting, to catch Suunath at the last minute but it was a vague hope. There were some good dragons up there but all Kindra wanted was to wake up next to one person alone, Suunath however, had other ideas, just because Kindra was wrapped up in Tyeth's didn't mean Suunath was about to let the Bronze catch her, she was going to show ALL of them what a BENDEN Gold was made of, Kindra influenced her that much as some of the riders began to close in on her, just as their dragons were getting closer to Suunath.
Suunath was pleased that the males were making more of an effort but she wasn't QUITE ready just yet, she tilted her wings and gained height, trying to avoid the males while at the same time, showing off her ability to turn as she banked sideways to avoid the crowd of Bronze and Brown bodies.
