It took a while to find Weeping Forest, but it was a good thing he had brought the book with him, because he had a TERRIBLE sense of direction.
Shut up. I don't want sass from you.
Upon arrival of the forest, he wasted no time looking for portals, and stepped into the first one he saw.

He looked around. Fog. More fog.
And that building looked suspiciously-
No. Hell no.
He quickly went back.

Sherry wasn't exactly happy about being in the Weeping Forest. But Jake seemed rather determined. And she wasn't about to let him go alone. That would be some kind of suicide..or would it be murder, since he'd be the one dead? You would think that. Sherry just shook her head and set about trying to find a portal. Finding a portal in itself wasn't too hard. Nor was stepping through it. Realizing that she had just interrupted someone's dinner by stepping into their dining room, well, that was a little more...something. "Um....well...." The very shocked faces that stared at her were highly unnerving. "Sorry. Carry on." She backpedaled as fast as she could. Sherry never thought she would breath a sigh of relief at being in the Weeping Forest. But somehow, it was slightly less unnerving that realizing she'd likely traumatized a whole family by appearing in their house.

Seeing as Sherry finally caught up, he wasted no time stepping into another portal.
Not it.
He quickly stepped back out as there was a bloodcurdling shriek, and a bar of soap may or may not have been lobbed at his head.

Well, it seemed like Jake wasn't having super luck, either. Good to know. Sherry glanced at her phone. They couldn't spend forever here. Hopefully they wouldn't have to.
Finding another portal, she gave it a look. Another house, though this time the occupants didn't seem to notice her. She didn't stay there long. Nope.
When she was back, however, her face was red, and there was no way in hell she was making eye contact with Jake. And that was even if she could bring herself to look at him.
Focusing on finding a portal to anywhere else seemed like a really awesome idea.

Luckily for Sherry, Jake was too busy portal-jumping to notice anything.
Jake looked around.
Where... were they?
The terrain was familiar, and he was pretty sure he had never seen this place before...
Then again, he hadn't really gone out all that much except for the last mission, so-
He turned, and saw that before him, was a very tall mountain.
What-
Oh, right. FINDING the darn place was only part of the task.
Actually GETTING there was another matter.
Well, at least they got the location down.
"Hey! I found the place. Just get your a** over here."
Hopefully, Sherry could hear him.

Sherry was fine with Jake not noticing. Totally.
She was very happy to find another portal to step through, though. She just hoped it wouldn't take her anywhere....she didn't want to be.
It did take her somewhere strange, but not nearly as shocking as the last place. This house was just full of...nothing. It was dark, scary, and silent. Like a Horror movie. It was almost nostalgic.
Still, not what she was looking for.

Coming back to the forest, Sherry was suddenly aware that Jake was not around. Clearly he was in some portal, and with the way things were going, she hoped it was the right one.
But you never knew. It was too bad Sherry couldn't hear him.
Especially since the portal she ended up stepping through landed her in the middle of a princess themed birthday party. Oh, wait. No. That was actually pretty sweet. So were the little girls she met.
Back in the forest, Sherry nibbled at the cake one little girl had forced on her before she'd left. It was pretty tasty.
"Jake?"
...No sign of him.

Sherry was feeling pretty good about the next portal, especially since she was now full of tasty cake. Well, feeling good aside from the fact that she seemed to have lost Jake. Oops.
Still, she stepped on through. This place smelled like...Holidays. And Sherry immediately shivered. She had both good and bad memories of Christmas.
And judging by the reception she was getting from the inhabitants here, well, more bad memories.
She booked it right out of there.

Sherry checked her phone. She only had about 5 more minutes. Crap. She hopped through the next portal she found, and discovered...
Cats. Lots and lots of cats. She stayed for a minute or two, cooing and cuddling, before leaving again.
She was out of time. And Jake was nowhere to be found. Crap.
