There was something following her, she... she was sure of it. Risking a glance back she saw the cat! The same cat from the farm! Hraka!! She tried to muster more speed, it probably grew curious once she started moving and when she'd stumbled...

Kicking up grass and dirt as she ran to the left, the cat looked at her in confusion before meowing and sitting down.
Liana said a small prayer as she dashed on, finally able to see Althea in the distance.

She slowed slightly, suddenly feeling quite tired. She was almost to the finish. Almost. She still had that flay clenched in her mouth. Paw-sore, she pressed on.

She crossed the finish in a final burst of speed, too fearful to hang about any longer than she needed. She burst past Althea and dropped the flay, chest heaving, as she waited for the rest of her team to arrive. She made it out alive!

 Oxlip's near death experience the other day had sobered him up a little, and when he learned what they'd be doing today... This was how his father had died. But this was also the job of a runner, and he couldn't let events from before he was born dictate his life. He just had to keep his wits about him, and hope that he hadn't used up all his good luck.

So he'd wouldn't even had to go into the farm proper? Ok. Oxlip waited by the fence and tried his best to stay hidden. The rest of his team members went their separate ways and all he had to do for now was wait.
