Painite's hand lashed out and she caught Mimi's leg, gripping it tightly and then wrenching her wrist just for flare. It was like an indian burn from childhood and it was simply a show of power and control. She opted to tug on the leg instead of charging forward this time, using her third rank strength to swing the senshi around.
She let her go at the peek of momentum, stumbling backwards because throwing a person was still heavy and difficult, even with super strength.
"Don't slack off: capitalizing on a weak point is your only chance to win and you don't want to blow it by having a pathetic follow up attack. You give it your all, all the time, or you'll be treated to defeat."
Painite was all too familiar with failure, and while it was a good method of learning what not to do, and she had come very far through that, she much preferred learning how to win.

When Mimi's leg got caught once again, this time a burning sensation came with it. She cried out in pain before she was swung and landed on her bottom once again. "Ugh..." Mimi sat there this time, rubbing both her bottom and where it felt like it burned.
Mimi listened to Painite as she spoke. It was true; she was highly distracted after her first successful hit. She sighed and looked up at Painite. "Sorry about that," Mimi sighed. "I guess I still need a lot of practice, huh?"
She wanted to get up and keep going, but her burning leg was telling her otherwise. It wasn't broken anything, but landing hard twice knocked the wind out of her both times and well, Mimi was tired.
"But I need to get better!" There was without a doubt that Mimi wanted to improve. She wanted to be able to at least rival Painite eventually. It would be hard, but worth it. "I... Really want to get up and go some more, but I'm not sure if my body can handle getting the wind knocked out of me a third time," she told Painite reluctantly with a laugh.
"Would... It be okay if I contacted you another time for more practice?" Mimi wasn't sure how she would be able to do it, but at the same time... The city wasn't that big was it? "I think it would be good for me to start going to the gym too..."

Painite grinned at her. She was going hard on the young fighter, and that was not very fair, but it was at least productive enough to teach her a good fighting mindset.
The basics were the most important. She would figure out her own style, in time. Painite just wanted to make sure she knew how to survive long enough for it.
"You're doing well," she offered at last, smiling and moving over to pat Mimi on the shoulder. She was supportive, at least, in her way. And she did deeply care about everyone that she trained, regardless of if they were a Negaverse soldier or not. They were part of her team, her little fake family, the moment they trusted her to help them.
"You can contact me any time. Or we can just arrange some place to meet up, if that's easier for you. You need to practice on your own, as well, but you're the only one that can figure out what pace you want to work at."

Mimi grinned a cheesy grin. Although the compliment was only a small one, Mimi was happy that she made some progress this night and that Painite saw that she had made it. To others, it would probably look like a young child, happy with a new toy. "Thank you, a lot," she managed to tell Painite.
She stood up and reached around in the little pouch she had. There was her mirror shard, Henshin pen and compact mirror. The compact mirror was good for talking to other DMC Senshi and Painite wouldn't have one. Finally, she found her cellphone and flipped it open.
"May I have your cellphone number? Maybe I can contact you that way some time? I'll probably be working out for at least a week or two before trying again." Mimi let out another half-laugh as she offered her cellphone to Painite. She didn't know of the Negaverse General would accept, but at least she tried, right?Lithia_Brandon (( We can wrap this one up soon too, I think? ))

Painite nodded her head and gave the other her cell phone number. She was not shy about being in contact with other members of the Chaos side, and often gave out her number or address, or her civilian identity, so they could have an easier time contacting her.
She sighed and stretched, hands on her hips as she leaned backwards. She hummed contentedly and then looked at Mimi and offered her a hand. After a firm handshake, she grinned.
"You're a good kid. I'm sure you'll get stronger, you just have to work at it. And if you fail, you try again. It's not easy, being the best, or even getting close to it, but I think it's something you should always strive for. Anything less is just not good enough."
She sighed and ran a hand through her short, though longer than she usually kept it, hair.
"I think it's time for me to go home and relax. I have a cat that probably wants a lot of cuddles right now."
Adorable was a cuddle kitten.
Painite waved over her shoulder as she turned and glanced around, then just teleported. Anything else could be dealt with later, she imagined, and she was easy to contact so there was no worry in her mind about continuing the training.

Mimi tried to hide her happiness when Painite entered in her cellphone number. She didn't knew it was easy access, but Mimi felt honored to have her information and be able to contact her. "Thank you again, so much," Mimi said as she clenched her cellphone.
Painite's words of encouragement caused Mimi to blush, unsure of how common or uncommon Painite's words might be, but it seemed like in her life, it wasn't often where someone would give her words of encouragement. It was either 'do it or not', not 'you can do it'. Now, besides wanting to get better for Princess Ares, she had to please Painite too. Mimi hadn't met many Negaverse officers, but she was fighting for them as well as the DMC!
"Bye!" Painite had disappeared, not knowing if she heard Mimi's last good bye or not, but it didn't matter. The night was worth so much to Mimi already. She sighed, satisfied with the bruises on her bottom and the aching of her muscles. Mimi headed towards the closest mirror so she could go home.
