The girl smiled, though she did look a little bit sheepish. "Sorry, I don't...mean to give that impression. I think...Chara and I are just having troubles syncing up or something today." Though as Jude had said, their separation hadn't been that long.
Maybe we...should have trained alone for a while before asking for a spar, The weapon admitted, Don't get too beat up, okay?

Jude was pausing a moment. He made a couple of practice punches at the air listening to Eva's reasoning behind it and just smiled softly, "Excuses aren't going to get you anywhere, Eva. You should just fight."
He was taking the spar as seriously as he did any spar he agreed to.

"Ahaha, you're right, you're right. Sorry." She gave Chara a few test swings and then twirled the staff between her hands like a baton, trying to get a good feel for wielding the weapon again. Satisfied, she turned back to look at Jude. "Alright, ready."
She lunged forward again, her expression much more determined this time as she tried to drive the blunt end of her staff into the man's stomach.

As the blunt end hit his stomach, air left him with a sharp 'HAH' sound. He doubled over for a second before he suddenly lashed out at her rather fiercely.
"Good hit," he said almost sounding breathless as he spoke. HP: 37 DMG: 5

She hadn't expected for him to lash out. Wincing, her free hand automatically reached up to clutch her side as she staggered back. "Aha, yeah. You too...!"
Of course, in a real battle, there was never any time to stand around clutching your aches and injuries. She let her hand drop away as she spun Chara around, switching back to the blade and slashing down at Jude in one quick strike.
Maybe she was finally starting to get the hang of this again.

The strike hit him off guard causing him to stumble back a bit and making his return strike clumsy and off center. It seemed that he was losing his touch for a few moments.

"I think I'm getting back into the hang of things," Eva admitted with a smile. There was a short pause, and then she suddenly dropped her staff, falling after it as she got onto the ground and kicked her leg out in an attempt to sweep Jude off his feet.
...And not in the fairytale way either.

BAM! And down he went. Right on his a**. He swiped his punching dagger out at the retreating leg causing no more than just a knick against the flesh of her shin. Still, he was trying to work with what the situation had given him just then.
It wasn't a lot but it would do! HP: 20 DMG: 1

And then Eva flopped down on Jude's body.
...There really wasn't much else to say to justify the amount of damage she did.

Then there was an Eva on top of him. He let out a few gasps of air as he felt his world reeling a bit from the sudden force of all of Eva's bodyweight just suddenly dropping onto him with such force. She was not an overweight girl but she certainly wasn't light when she suddenly dropped on him like that.
After a few moment he pushed her rather forcefully off of him with the punching daggers pushing into her FEAR shield just to the point across.

...okay ow, that hurt.
Eva hissed at the sudden pain and immediately rolled back onto her feet, eager to get away from Jude and those weapons of his. She gave herself a few seconds to recover before bending down to retrieve Chara, thrusting the blade forward and straight into Jude's shield.

She was beating him up good. He let out a small sound as the blade hit his shield. Jude scrambled to his feet and lunged to slice at her midsection.

Oh. Oh. Almost at once, Eva dropped her weapon, letting it reform into it's desummoned form as she rushed towards Jude and pretty much attacked him in a hug (again, with no regard for the fact he had weapons right there).
"OKAY, okay, I'm tired. Can we stop for today?" A pause, and then, "...And we're still friends, right? You promised."
