"What is a king to a god? What is a god to a nonbeliever?"
I know what happened to that skunk Owsla!
What's his name? Ripper
And what happened to him? Ripper is a farm released bunny, originally named for Jack the Ripper due to his deplorable habit of slicing up the family dog and father. Regardless of this however, the daughter loved him, and she was the only one that could pick him up. He would bite and scratch at anyone else, being the fierce little rabbit that he was. It was all in all a good life, though a bit confining for Ripper.
It came one day that the family was being forced to move from their home. The girl was heartbroken at not being able to keep Ripper and her father was going to take him to the vet to have him put down, saying he was far too dangerous to give to someone else. This was what started his great escape. The little girl snuck out in the middle of the night and took Ripper from his cage; cradling him close to her chest, she ran off into the woods to set him free. It was a long trip, a good hour, in which Ripper wasn’t sure what was going on. He stayed tucked against his lady, ears down, listening to her crying. Once they reached the release spot he had caught on to what was happening, and while he was grateful to finally be set free, he was also sad to see her go.
It was a tearful goodbye and he will never forget that. It lives on in his memory, and instead of changing his name upon release, he kept the name Ripper as a sort of silent memory and promise to the little girl who had been so good to him.
Ripper wasn’t overly bothered by being a hlessi, due to his being freshly released. It wasn’t like he couldn’t fend for himself, and he was never a large one for companionship. He was a bit quiet despite his fierce attitude, and he wasn’t a bright and sunny bunny, a bit of a realist that tended towards the pessimistic side of the spectrum. Ripper didn’t see the problem with it, though it tended to push others away. He had morals though, clear cut and born into his very core. Does, kittens, and small bucks were meant to be protected, regardless. He was never of the thoughts that smaller bucks should be forced to fight, they had uses elsewhere and their talents should be protected. Does shouldn’t have to fight, but he wasn’t going to stop them if they did. Kittens, on the other hand, should never have to fight, and even if they wanted to he wasn’t about to let it happen. They were precious little ones that were meant to be protected no matter what the cost to you.
There were several others, but this was the basic of his moral set up. Ripper was all in all a rather good guy who didn’t let bigger rabbits push the little ones around, and was not at all afraid to get into a fight about it. Thus, it came as no shock when he ended up a bit beat up and battered due to several scuffles.
Ripper would spend a good year as a hlessi, doing his own thing and going about his own way. He would fall into a pattern and stick by that pattern. While he knew it brought him past the edges of a warren daily, it didn’t bother him really. He never crossed anywhere near their actual burrows, and was in swiftly and out just as swiftly. It was during this normal trek that he happened upon a group of outskirters. He had seen them occasionally, noticed them back when they were first starting their adventures towards the edges of the warren. He had never stopped to talk to them, hadn’t done much more than glance over them to make sure everything was in order before continue on his way. He did the same thing today, stopping to glance over the group from his high perch.
Ripper had awoken this morning with a rather sinking feeling in his stomach. He had taken a moment to wonder if perhaps he was getting sick before simply dismissing the idea. If he was, then there was little he could do about it right now. The feeling had lingered with him throughout the day, hanging like a storm cloud over just him. Despite how he tried to shake the feeling off, he knew something was amiss. He wasn’t sure what it was, or when it would happen, he just knew that something was terribly off about this day.
That feeling lingered with him as he watched the outskirters for sometime longer than he normally would. It was then that he saw it, the tip of its tail slipping behind a bush. He stilled and waited, his ears falling back as he hunched close to the ground. There it was again, a passing of orange behind that bush. She was standing downwind from the outskirters, her tail twitching and eyes gleaming, a monster from nightmares. It happened faster than he could properly account for. The ginger tabby rushed from the bushes, her movements fast and sure.
“Hray, me a pfeffa!”
He screamed at the top of his lungs as he dashed down the slope and slammed into the cat full force, teeth and claws instantly going to work. His teeth bore into her shoulder and his front foot found purchase in her eye. She fought back, ripping at his ears and whipping around to tear her eye more and bite at his tail. The battle raged for what seemed like hours, but what could only be minutes, before the cat retreated into the wilderness, leaving Ripper standing there bloody and battered, the victor of the battle and a hero.
Some of the outskirters had skittered back to the warren at top speeds to get the owsla while others had stayed to watch. However, by the time they had returned with the owsla, the battle was already over and Ripper was nowhere to be found. With that attack, the dreadful feeling that had been hanging over him all day had alleviated and he had felt his job done. Thus, Ripper had continued on his path and daily routine.
The outskirters had explained what had happened and Ripper became somewhat of a hero without even knowing it. On his way back to where he was currently stationed, which was the hallow of a tree, he was stopped by several rabbits. Ripper, unsure of what was going on, stilled, his ears instantly falling backward into the defensive position. It was clear he had just been in a scuffle of some sort; his sides were bloody and his tail was torn.
“Your name?” Asked a doe near the front.
“Ripper.” He replied, moving from his crouched position to a sitting one.
“Welcome to the warren Ripper, and the owsla if you so choose.” She stated again, smiling at him softly. She looked like such a delicate little thing, but there was a sense of duty about her. Ripper was humbled for the first time in his life, and was happy to accept the invitation to become a part of the warren and its protective circle. ________________________________________________________________________________________ I am SO SORRY for the length. orz I was so inspired and got on a roll and then couldn't stop myself. ;^; I don't mean to make you read novels Rain. <3

"What is a king to a god? What is a god to a nonbeliever?"
One more question and then I promise to stop asking them, would you be able to take two words from the rabbit lexicon and form them into one word? Not like one right after the other but take part of one word and part of another to make a rabbits name? Or would you prefer we keep with the one word and then another word?

If you want to get REALLY in depth, there's a whole grammatical way of doing it. Lapine is technically, in this shop, a full language. My doe, Koi'ain, means to have, or to possess song. the word song is hain, but since I'm showing ownership it becomes 'ain, koi literally means to possess. So I've basically made her name "This doe possesses song/the song" etc etc The problem with Lapine is a lot of it is suggestive in use. There's also a common-speak and a poem-speak. When storytellers weave a tale, they tend to slip into the poem-speak, which is what we'd equate to Shakespeare, so to speak. On top of that, every warren varies a little. As generations pass, words become mashed or bastardized. Some even develop 'accents', or prolong vowels, consonants, add extensions etc etc etc... IN SHORT Unless you want to spend months learning the language, and if you don't want to use THE TRANSLATOR PROGRAM or the program fails you for whatever reason... AS LONG AS IT'S CLEAR WHAT TWO WORDS YOU'RE USING, AND YOU'RE NOT, LIKE, SCRAMBLING THE LETTERS TO CREATE A WHOLE NEW WORD YOU SHOULD BE GOOD heart

You are ALWAYS allowed to give away buns. Part of the glory of rabbits is they breed fast (are easy to color, etc) and your horde will probably grow very rapidly. Some people just gather up all they can, others like to keep their horde to a trim number. However you deal with your horde is up to you, but yes, you're always allowed to give buns away <3 The only issue I can see us having with it is if you tried to give a rabbit to someone on the blacklist. But, I don't see that happening so |D

Wow that is a lot to take in, but no worries I can do this. I will study up considering what I want for one of the rabbits up there. XD I am gonna work on it as I go along, and here is hoping I will pick up on a lot of it and not be left in the dust. Until then I will just run names past you to make sure they work right. ANYWAY
woo that is good. <3
