The Questions

1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change?
No - they are evil and very likely have no sort of positive conscience. Some cursed skinwalkers might try to control the evil and bloodlust that takes over their lives, but not out of remorse for their deeds. It would probably stem from a need of control in order to better achieve their wicked goals.

2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker?
It would depend on the skinwalker, but it definitely wouldn't be a happy reunion. Some won't remember their past loved ones and would very likely attack them on the spot, while others would remember but see everyone in a different light. Those that remember may hold contempt, annoyance, or even hatred for their old relationships and it would be impossible for them to retain any sort of friendship from the past.

The Rest of It

Name: Hayaka
Temper: Mercifully Murderous
Personality: "Are you afraid of me...? Here... let me cure you of that fear...". Hayaka was always sarcastic and defensive... after all, growing up with fangs tends not to make you many friends upon first impression. Now that he is a skinwalker, his insecurities have evolved into a manic need to prove that he isn't scary... by killing anyone who is afraid of him. Even with fangs, before his transformation, Hayaka never wanted for blood- it was just an unfortunate mutation. Nevertheless, Soq were still weary around him. Now that he has changed, however, he will give them something to fear.
Brief History: As mentioned above - fangs don't usually make friends. Being a little insecure from the get-go, he had a hard-time coping with the accusations of a kalona bloodline, or of being a vampire. In fact, Hayaka never once exhibited carnivorous tendencies. By the time he was an adult, Hayaka had a deep hatred for those who feared him and he began to want to give them something to fear. Along the way, the stallion made friends with a bobcat, Kata, who later became his familiar. If one set of fangs wasn't scary enough, a pair of them walking through the woods was enough to send most of those weak-of-heart running. For a while, Hayaka had grown to accept his fate, though he always harbored resentment for how quick some Soq were to judge.
How Were They Cursed? Hayaka fell in love... from afar. She was a beautiful mare- but not particularly bright. One day, he decided to finally introduce himself, but the mare took one look at him and bolted, begging for him not to eat her. Like I said, she wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer. However, this was enough to finally set the poor stallion off. If they wanted something to fear, he would give them something to fear. So Hayaka and Kata set off on a perilous journey to the cursed graveyard, seeking something he knew would give him the power he so desperately craved- corpse powder. Upon his transformation, he turned on his faithful bobcat familiar, Kata, and slayed him- this is the pelt he now wears. The only true friend he ever had will now always be a part of him, till death do them part.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? He enjoys scaring Soquili, then trying to cure them of their fear- by taking their life. After all, isn't it better to be dead than to live in fear?

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from? Purewalkers come from the center of a dark burial ground from within a cursed tree. It's speculated that they come straight from the underworld, cuz they're so darn eeeevil. The portal tree was crafted by Oyohusa, who used to be a nice Shaman until the voodydoo got him.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing? Purewalkers don't fall in love, that's a silly concept, only devised by the weak. Sometimes they'll fake it to get strong offspring from the other and leave post haste. They're too bend on destruction to have anything more than a unstable relationship with ANYTHING.

The Rest of It

Name: Kitiara
Temper: Loathing
Personality: Kit seems to hate everything, she has always been a dark soul, even among skinwalkers she is known for her intense dislike of anything that slithers through her line of vision. When confronted she's as catty as her feline self, sneaking, hunting, ripping, tearing and yowling through anything in her path. Her cat like tenacity and playfulness when killing things is feared among lesser beings in her domain. She's very determined to make her shady goals come true, no matter what she has to do or who she has to kill, she spends much of her time lurking in the cliffs thinking of ways to achieve them. She has one qualm about being a complete berserker and that is she's very prideful of her white coat, if she's to maul everything in her path, she prefers her bobcat form so as not to soil her pearly pelt.

Brief History: Kit left the graveyard and it's tree pretty quikly, not enjoying the company of other purewalkers, and even less the acrid stink of the skinwalkers. Such torn creatures, never to be one thing or the other.
She soon found an area that suited her purpose as well as her felines interest and settled there, far away from anything that could possibly bother her in her hunts. She ventures from the cliffs from time to time to take on more interesting prey.

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Kit has been here for a while, after coming from the graveyard, she decided she wanted no attention from any of it's inhabitants. She just prefers to be the monster in the cliffs rather than a threat through the whole land. The cat in her prefers rocky terrain and hidey holes, lovely places to ambush her prey.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
Purewalkers are born in the Underworld. Although they were transported from the Underworld through the Demon Tree located in the Indian Burial Ground, which was cursed by Oyohusa.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
Purewalkers, or Skinwalkers in general, never make close bonds with anyone or anything. Not even with their own spieces. They are untrusting and untrustworthy in nature. They are cruel and unkind, so therefore have no compassion or liking toward others.

The Rest of It

Name: Snowabellea Tundra
Temper: Devious

Personality:
Although Snowabellea does hunt others in order to devour them, she enjoys destroying them in every other way before doing any kind of physical damge. She enjoys tricking people, making them think that they should trust her with anything and everything. When they trust her the most, showing their weakest link, that is when she stirkes at their hearts. Hurting them in the most suitable way she can conjure up, enjoying hurting them as much as she possibly can. As far as when she enjoys maiming or eating others, if she does enough emotional damage to them, she prefers them to stay alive. The more their suffering is extended before their life eventually goes out. Snowabellea also enjoys watching those she has scarred this way as close as possible. If they show signs of getting better and moving on with their lives, she comes back into it. Reminding them of what they have lost before then maiming and devouring them. She wouldn't be able to stand them moving on and getting better after they met her.

Brief History:
Snowabellea has been alone her entire life. Her parents abandoned her and her kin early on in their life. They had relyed on each other for a short time, but soon enough her two brothers abandoned her as well. Each moving in their own direction to cause their own pain on others. She has been abandoned and betrayed a few other times in her life as well, hence why she enjoys inflicting emotional pain, rather than physical. She vaguely understands the extent of how much it hurts when you have no one left to care for you, or about you. She had later found out that her parents had escaped the ---------. Snowabellea then decided to do the same...

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani?
Snowabella is travelling far and wide, finding others who are happy and content with their lives and trying to destroy them as slow as she can. Her goal while she is her is to make as many people as she can, as miserable as she can. Snowabellea has a kind of side quest to find her parents. She understands that where she finds one, she is not going to find the other, but she tries anyway. She wants to find them and make them as miserable as she possible can.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
Oyohusa, the evil Skinwalker that was once a kind and gentle shaman before the darkness swallowed up his heart and turned it black and he started to use the powers the spirits gave him for wicked, selfish things. Once his revenge was complete, he decided to complete his bargain. After he took the energy from the burial ground, he made the tree in the center as a portal to the underworld where they were originally created in.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
They can do no such thing for sense they were made out of evil, they are truly evil, meaning they can hardly do it. The only thing that goes through their minds are corruption, revenge, hatred, and more that is involved in the underworld. To others that are not of their kind, they are unholy offspring from Dark Spirit in the underworld are enemies with them.

The Rest of It

Name: Keṭṭa Anma (means "Bad Soul" in Tamil)
Temper: Vile
Personality:
Is a twisted and hateful creature that torments others in her path. She makes herself known as the "Dealer of Darkness", meaning if she decides to give one Soq a chance at surviving, she must cut a deal with them. She always likes to keep a good watch on the ones she makes deals with, and she might even acquire a helper to keep they eyes on them in case. She is cunning and cruel, and hardly cares who she sinks her claws into.
Brief History:
She was never born or raised in the Overworld for she was actually created instead. When it was her time to enter the surface, she greeted it with a twisted deal that she made with a Soq; she gave it a familiar in return for their service.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? She has far and wide travel sites. She mostly hangs around the forest and at the edges of the Eastern Swamp because it is close to her top spot; the Cursed Graveyard. Sometimes, she will go past Big Oak Grove, despising it as she heads to have some longed alone-time with herself upon the shadows of the Secluded Grotto. Rarely she will venture even to the open plains and places farther off.

The Questions

1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards?
The evil tree that is also their portal from the underworld that is in the center of the Cursed Graveyard; and NO, there is no way to redeem yourself from the curse and you can't stop it for it is against the Skinwalker rules and doing so, you will be suggested to try a different breed, like Kalona.

2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off?
Once the curse takes affect, the Soq kills the nearest animal with a good pelt and once on their backs, becomes a Skinwalker; and they can never take off their pelts once they place them.

The Rest of It

Name: Ti Tetli Nilal (means "Deathly Shade" in Tamil)
Temper: Cruel
Personality:
Is a sassy smart-mouth that always picks fights with her so-called "brother". She is a huge pain and always loves to wrestle and fight, no matter who it is. She considers herself the type to not be messed with because her temper consists in dangerously high levels, and it goes even higher when see non-pelted ones.
Brief History:
She hated that she could always hear the muffled screams which started when she was cursed. As her life went on before that, well, its a different story. During her time by herself in a tree for several months when she became her animal form after she became cursed, she tried to eat the leaves but ended up hacking them up and killing tree-living rodents that were near her for food. At the end of isolation, it drove her insane, making her mind more devilishly corrupt than she was when the curse was complete.
How Were They Cursed?
Nilal was a crazy, mad girl ever sense she was a foal. Her parents at first thought she was going to be a good girl like the rest of her goody-goody family until they realized she was demented when she stabbed one of her siblings in the leg with a sharp stick. When they gave of hope on fixing her by the time she was an adult, they left her twisted self behind on the migratory journey to find new feeding grounds. She spent most of her days hunting critters for joy until she took a dare to go into the graveyard and touch the tree. Completing that with Naccu, she ignored the screams she heard after touching the tree, which was a myth. At midnight when she returned back to her place, she heard the growling of a bobcat as it walked towards her but it kept its distance for it knew what was happening to her that she didn't till it was too late. After a stabbing pain, she went temporarily blind and heard muffled, endless screaming till she snapped and tore at the cat till it was nothing but blood, bones, meat and a pelt which she placed on her back and became cursed.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Until further things come up for her in me brain, she just hangs around in the forest and floodplains near the village, scaring them and attacking them at night now and then.

The Questions

1. Does a cursed skinwalker ever feel regret or remorse about their 'new' life after they change?
Hardly. Once the curse is complete, it changes it from wanting it to stop to desiring for it to get better for them.

2. If a cursed skinwalker is reunited with his old family or loved ones, what sort of reaction would we expect to see from the skinwalker?
In this case, the skinwalker will either keep on a low level of insanity if he is preparing to slaughter them one-by-one but if he wants them dead quickly, he would either corner them and become his animal form and kill them, make weapons and hit them with it, pinning them in any place then snap their necks and feast on them, but in my case i would chase them all until they obtain critical wounds that would kill them, break their legs and leave them to lay there and die, being a feast for the other carnivorous wildlife.

The Rest of It

Name: Naccu Visattai
Temper: Insane
Personality:
Is a stallion that is completely out of his mind, taking risks and going passed his limits and expectations; to sum it up, he likes to think like an idiot when it comes to boring stuff. He has a short-term memory so he could forget a lot of stuff.
Brief History:
He can never remember his past, just the night he took the dare with Nilal and becoming a skinwalker.
How Were They Cursed?
He was still the same like he was now, just less evil. He one day encountered Anma and made a deal with her when he was about to die after getting attacked by a bobcat that looked like him: In return with staying alive he was to become a skinwalker that was cursed. Stupidly, he accepted and killed the mangy cat and put the pelt on, just hardly felt the affects till he woke up several days later in the same place and actually ate a little girl that was asleep when she found him.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Just wandering around, being arrogant and stupid. And evil.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
It is said that Purewalkers hail from the bowels of the underworld and journey forth into the Kawani lands through the demon tree located in the Indian Burial Ground that was desecrated by Oyohusa.

They might also be born from the union of two purewalker parents.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?

From the very fiber of their beings, purewalkers are demonic. Evil. They are incapable of feeling love or forming bonds of those types. The might possibly work together for short periods of time to achieve common goals, but these 'partnerships' do not last for long because of their solitary natures.

The Rest of It

Name: Lylith Eve
Temper: ennuie

Personality: the personification of lust and temptation, she suffers the delusion that she is a succubus, and who knows, perhaps, in some small way she is. But even in this madness, she is dangerous, believing that one can gain power through sex and death. And the more gruesome, the more power that is gained. But sadly, she has made her way through what she believes is the best the Underworld has to offer. She has grown bored with life and is looking for a greater challenge, the ultimate high, something she does not believe exists.

Brief History:
Similar to a succubus, she had great delight and exhilaration from seducing and brutally slaying whatever and whomever she pleased. Being a denizen of the underworld, she did not lack in prey for her to choose from. But slowly, the hunt grew old. It was the same thing all the time. Locate and stalk prey, seduce prey kill prey. Rinse and repeat as desired. It was all too easy. Monotonous even. Then she heard the whispers.

Whispers of the otherworld. Of targets that would actually present a challenge. Targets not easily swayed. The thought was enticing. Rumor also reached her ears, spoken only in the quietest of whispers. Angeni. The blessed ones. Their loathed enemies. It was this more than anything else that decided her. She would leave the underworld.

This would be her greatest hunt. What kind of power and satisfaction could she derive from such a kill? Possibilities were endless….

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani?
Lylith has made it her goal in life to seduce those who are supposedly unable to be seduced and watch as life leaves their eyes after she brutally tortures them. At the time any prey she can find, well, it is prey and she enjoys being a succubus. Also, she is looking to find enemies and allies to bring a bit of spice into her dull and dreary existence.

She wants to find the ultimate power rush. And if it is at all possible, she wants to find one of the 'blessed ones' -an angeni- and see if she can kill one.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
A tree in a cursed graveyard; linking to a whole other world...

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
What? No. Purewalkers are too chaotic-evil!

The Rest of It

Name: Keta
Temper: Arrogant
Personality: Keta is a self rightous, vindictive, well, she-wolf. She pretty well resents everyone for some reason or another, always puts herself above. Everyone, and thus, everything, exists to please her, including other skin and purewalkers, making it rare she even bothers to work for someone. She has no trouble enslaving others, working them to exhaustion, then repeating the process come morning; after all, broken goods are stupid, pointless...

She's smart. Too smart. She knows how to do things, how to torment, give nightmares... And she has no problem eating other Soquili in front of families, either...
Brief History: Keta does not recal her foalhood, or much before entering this world... Perhaps, in a sense, by choice. The Soquili here, and the dumb two-legs giving them a cushy lifestyle, are too fun to torment, tease, devour alive, squaling, screaming, and kicking... She lives on fear, after all...

Crying and fear drive her and she's become something of an ill-fate, posing as a ghost-cat or perhaps even using her cat form to lure her victims, and kill them. She leaves but barely a breeding population, before moving on, moving to her next target. And now she's coming for the Kawani...
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Haunting the village and area around in feline form. She kills various people and Soquili when hungry, and tends to be considered a harbringer of death. Very unlikely they know she's a Purewalker yet, but if you guess, you gun' die anyhow. Oh well.

Oh, and she might try eating a few folks alive. Just sayin'.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
A barren land surrounding a huge oak tree, gnarled with age and surrounded by tombstones. A place called The Cursed Graveyard.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
No, they are too vicious and too bloodthirsty to have any such bond, they're more likely to kill each other and as such are incapable of feeling love. They MAY form an alliance of sorts but that would usually be for a specific hunt, taking down a herd or even just a few regular Soquili. It's not likely to last.

The Rest of It

Name: Zouca
Temper: Secretive.
Personality: Zouca is very cruel, she loves to torture almost as she loves herself. Any prey she finds (unless she is extremely hungry) she will always try and cause it the utmost pain for the longest time possible before she will start to eat...while it still breathes. She spends her time patrolling her territory, since she doesn't want the fact a Skinwalker lives here to become common knowledge, her territory boundary markers are usually higher up than any regular Soquili will look, often halfway up a tree or the occasional half eaten small kill.
Brief History: Zouca had been run out of her old territory by the local Soquili and since then had found no suitable place to settle for some reason or another. She'd come across a small herd and watched them for a while. When a couple of foals had wandered into her part of the forest. She'd taken them, savaging one but leaving it alive to send a message to the herd. Let her stay and hunt around the territory and she would return the other foal to them, as well as offer her protection from predators other than herself. They had agreed, having been beset by Kalona and Skinwalkers in the past and Zouca had returned the foal, so severely traumatised by his experience with Zouca he never spoke again, the wounds on his throat also playing some part. She treats the herd like humans do with sheep and cattle.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Currently she continues to patrol her herd, keeping them safe from other walkers and predators alike. In return the odd member going missing from the herd isn't spoken of. She's very posessive of what is hers. She's growing bored however and her attacks on the herd are growing more frequent and they are growing less patient with her being around but there is something about having so much prey almost right under her nose that's slowly making her more bloodthirsty. Eventually she is likely going to have to either move, or kill the herd she watches over.

The Questions

1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards? Cursed skin walkers come from a tree in the center of a graveyard. Of course this tree is evil, because it turns the inflicted Soquili into a loveless, angry, evil monster. There is NO way to stop the curse or redeem them.

2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off? Skinwalkers get their pelts from animals that are near them when they are first cursed. They can't take their pelts off.

The Rest of It

Name: Niacin
Temper: murderous
Personality: insane
Brief History: Pellagra and Niacin were born to a happy couple of soquili. Unfortunately, after giving birth to Pellagra, the twins' mother died, leaving the two little ones to a horribly broken and angry father. Because her mother died after giving birth to Pellagra, the father blamed it all on her. He favored her sister, and abused Pellagra. She was raised on hate, and therefore grew to hate the world. Pellagra's mind began to warp, and others who knew the family called her "the evil child" and it was not uncommon for her to be referred to as "demon." However, her sister, Niacin, was comforting, and as her personality was directly opposite of Pellagra's, she kept her calm. Until the day that Pellagra's crazy mind created the idea that if she killed her sister and drank of her blood, she would absorb her inclination toward love and caring. She would no longer be insane.
How Were They Cursed? She killed her sister, and drank her blood, and declared that she would assume her sister's name, to fully become her. The other Soquili and her father, believing her to be insane and horrid, condemned her to the graveyard containing the tree. She gladly accepted her fate, as all she wanted was to be away from those who hated her so...but at a great price.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Because of her insanity, and being cursed, she believes that she did not fully kill her sister and that she is still alive, and the only way to escape her crazy mind is to kill her sister. So she searches for her endlessly.

The Questions

1. Where do Cursed Skinwalkers Come from and is there any way to stop the Curse or redeem them afterwards?
xxxxx Cursed Skinwalkers are regular horses that in some way, shape or form, they became "twisted and evil" and in that, gained their pelts. They are derived from the human Skinwalker, Oyohusa. As for redeeming the curse, there is no way to reverse it. . . Yet.

2. Where do skinwalkers get their pelts and can they take them off?
xxxxx Skinwalkers, upon being cursed, feel the need to kill. During this need, they find an animal, and murder it, skin it, then wear the pelt on their back and head. After this has been done, the pelt fuses to their own body in a way. They cannot remove the pelt.

The Rest of It

Name:
xxxxx Jammi. - This is the name prior to the curse.
xxxxx Jahi - The poisoner. This is the name she goes by after being cursed. ( Will be on cert )

Temper:
xxxxx Vindictive
Personality:
xxxxx Jahi is a very tricky female. She is probably one of the slower hunters of the Skinwalkers. She is very smart, and plans her kills well. Preferring to hunt her victims at a near agonizing pace, she often finds herself on the brink of starvation. It could take her close to a week, sometimes more, to take down one kill. But as soon as she has achieved that, she usually goes on a rampage and kills all within her sight, feeding her blood lust. Once satisfied, she calms and goes back to her normal hunting habits.

xxxxx If you get the chance to actually talk to her, Jahi would seem much like a dominant woman. She is very demanding, and hates to be bothered. But get her in the right mood, and she may do something for you, for a price. She has been known to take small offerings from other Soquili in order to do a deed they won't; killing. She is a mistress at revenge, since it was the reason she was cursed. It is the only time she is every somewhat peaceful toward another Soquili; and by peaceful, it means she doesn't kill them on sight. That isn't to say she won't hunt them later for a snack.

Brief History:
xxxxx Jammi grew up in the village. She was loved and adored by all the two-leggers; often times described as one of the sweetest horses around. She would buck trees to get apples down, and help small children get up if she could ( They would grab her nose or hoof, and she would lift up so that they could stand ). She fell in love with a stallion, one who wasn't a part of the village. He was handsome, and amazing. They were together for months, spending time feeding and talking daily.

xxxxx One day, she found him with another mare, and jealousy filled her kind heart. Jammi went out, and poked her nose around, until she found a poison that the shaman of the village possessed; though he used it for healing purposes. Taking this poison, she rolled an apple in it carefully, before wrapping it in a piece of leather, and taking it to the mare. Playing the sweet, kind Jammi that she was known for, the mare ate the apple, and died soon after.

xxxxx She was found out, as an owl had been near by, and informed the stallion of her wrong doing. Outcasted and hated by him, Jammi fled. She somehow found her way to the cursed graveyard, where her new life began.

How Were They Cursed?
xxxxx Due to poisoning the mare that loved the stallion, Jammi did an evil act. She killed the mare with full trickery that she possessed. By the time that she made it to the cursed graveyard, the curse had started, and she ended up killing a minx that was passing by. The pelt became a blanket, but soon after, was fused with her body, and she was cursed. She became angry and hateful, and lusted for blood and vengeance from everything in her path. From that moment on, she went by the name Jahi, as she said that "Jammi was dead."
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani?
xxxxx Hunting, to a point. Jahi is searching for the stallion that broke her heart, so that she can get the ultimate vengeance that she desires; to kill that stallion, and eat his heart.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
Oyohusa the once kind shaman who turned evil created them. They come into the Kawani lands via a portal of sorts in the Indian Burial Ground that was tainted by Oyohusa's evil.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
Purewalkers like all skinwalkers are sinisterly and purely evil. They might for a time consider working with someone else to further their goals in the world but more often than not prefer to be alone, work alone, and live alone. They are solitary creatures incapable of love. The only time they would consider being with another emotionally is strictly lust.

The Rest of It

Name: Alvina
Temper: Cunning
Personality: Alvina is evil in and of itself. She sacrifices young soquili beneath the full moon in hopes of finding the voice that speaks to her. Her god. In all honesty she is utterly mad and her god is nothing more than a voice in her head that calls for blood and sacrifice. She is a silent hunter preferring to stalk her prey in the darkness of night.
Brief History: Alvina was brought into this world through Oyohusa's portal within the graveyard. She awoke to the bitter cold of the ground beneath her and the sound of ravens calling overhead. The moment her eyes opened the voice spoke to her. 'Kill.' It called. Wanting to obey her God she moved quickly and found a young foal that was wandering alone. Killing the little one in cold blood she bathed in its life force calling to her God, pleading if she had done well. The voice purred in self satisfaction and went quiet for a time. Contemplating her life and why she was here. She only knew to kill young soquili and bathe in their life forces, ensuring to paint herself with the ancient symbols she somehow knew she feels she draws in their spirit and gives it to her god. She is utterly mad in all reality and many who see her stay out of her way.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? Sacrificing the beloved babies of other soquili to her mad gods adoration has grown old. She is currently hunting for something to keep the voice from screaming so often for killing so many has become difficult. Many know her and stay far away these days.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from? They ultimately came from the underworld, after Oyohusa had been banished from his village, met a demonic spirit who taught him how to create magic from the bodies of the dead. The powers over took his body turning him into a carnivorous monster ultimately slaying a coyote and wearing its flesh. The dark spirit from the underworld returned and then bargained with Oyohusa to use his shamanic powers to open up a channel from the evil underworld where the original skinwalkers were drawn from. They are born from the pure evil that they are. Oyohusa used a burial ground in which to take all the energy out of the buried corpses in order to open the portal. He channeled the energy into a tree which is now a gate that pure skinwalkers can find to enter this world.
2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
A purewalker can never make a close bond or fall in love with another, their hearts and souls are pure evil. A pure walker cannot feel love. If they did mate it would be more of a battle or killing, one or both could die. If a basket was to be made it would have to be from two pure skinwalkers, which may result in a skinwalker baby, but who knows if one or both of the parents survived it wouldn't be surprising if they killed the basket, or the offspring if it matured.
The Rest of It

Name: Zladusa (pronounced: zla-du-za) meaning: evil soul
Temper: malicious
Personality: deceitful
Brief History: Zladusa had herd rumors of the portal that had been opened by the shaman who called himself Oyohusa. Whispers, had been creeping from the opening, of a different land, another place in which to feed from. The whispers and callings grew more and more until they became a ringing in her ears drawing her closer and closer until she came to the gate of the portal. Her head pounded from the whispers growing louder and her stomach growled as if it had never tasted fresh meat before. She drew closer and closer to the portal, her eyes stared through the opening blazing with a fierce and ferocious hunger she had never felt before. The whispers turned into screams beckoning her toward the portal, she had no control over her body, as she galloped full speed crossing the threshold and into the eyes of the shaman Oyohusa.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? (Does not have to be long. Mostly curious about what they might be up to these days.) Once Zladusa crossed the portal she pushed Oyohusa to the ground, galloping off into a rage of hunger and confusion. The whispers and screams from Oyohusa's chant which summoned her to Kawani had subsided but the blinding light of her new surroundings was almost unbearable. Zladusa decieded to stay near the burial ground and watch Oyohusa from a distance. Her deceitful tactics gave her the opportunity to learn the various villages and where to get the best meat. She began to love traveling in the moonlight after Oyohusa had made his kill, she would proceed with another, laughing at the villagers cries as they thought it was still Oyohusa who brought terrors to their villages each night. Soon getting bored with this routine, Zladusa now takes on her animal form during the day. She stays close to where the children of the village wonder and play. Acting like a hurt animal or coming close enough to the children so they will pet her, she immediately sinks her fangs into their young flesh, ripping and tearing their bodies to shreds as the other children run and scream with horror. She has taken many young children's lives in Kawani since they don't fill her up that much, she may soon move on to bigger prey, mostly now she has been stalking other Soquili...

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
Purewalkers born as skinwalkers thus they do not have any amount of inner conflict about their natures. They're so evil [by everyone else's standards] that they are often said to have been dragged out of the bowels of the underworld and make Cured Skinwalkers seem cuddly in comparison. If you want to get very specific about it, the location is often cited as being the Cursed Graveyard that is located in the upper regions of the Eastern Swamp.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
No. Skinwalkers are like vampires. Other than bad teen novels, you don't hear of vampires falling in love with each other. The same goes for skinwalkers. Let's not make bad teen romance novels involving purewalkers okay? If a skinwalker decides to mate, it's because they've recognized that the other is a very fine genetic specimen who would produce strong and healthy offspring. As with some of the larger predatory animals, I would go so far as to speculate that the more dominate males tend to do most of the fathering. Even then, mating is always going to be filled with violence and bloodshed... probably not far off from what happens when two vampires decide they want to have sex.

The Rest of It

Name: Rein
Temper: Tactical Hunter

Personality: "I'm not evil. You're just prey."

Like the bobcat, Rein is crepuscular in that she is most active during the three hours before sunset until midnight then again during the three hours before dawn until after sunrise. She spend much of the daylight hours napping in a light sleep but will never pass up the chance for opportunistic prey that wanders close enough to wake her up.

She is solitary in that he treats all soquili who enter her territory as either territorial challengers or prey, with outcomes that often result in either a bloody death or someone making a swift retreat. Because most soquili cannot climb trees, it is not unusual for her to use her bobcat form to drag a meal up into a tree where she will then proceed to eat it at her leisure where she is less likely to be disturbed.

She enjoys hunting to the extent that she will often kill things even if not actually hungry. She enjoys the sensation of prey squirming under her claws, the sound of snapping bones and the intoxicating aroma of freshly spilled blood. If the prey seems to be prone to foolishness, she may even "play" with her food for a bit. More than once, she has made a game of tricking the prey into thinking she can be redeemed and taking delight in the look of betrayal that crosses the prey's face as she launches herself into a deadly attack. [It's often said that the lowest circle of hell is reserved for betrayers.]

Brief History:
Rein's upbringing was more on par with that of the larger cats than that of a soquili. She has never met the stallion who fathered her and only recognizes that this would have been a very dominant skinwalker that would have moved on after impregnating her mother. Rein is currently more interested in increasing her territory range than mating at the moment. She was raised entirely by her mother alongside two siblings. The latter of which, she would play wrestle and fight with.

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? She recently became old enough that mom decided that she needs to fend for herself now. Rein was chucked out of the territory that she grew up in with the promise of being killed if she ever tried to return. She kept going without ever turning back and is currently staking out her own hunting territory.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
They were said to be born with their condition and transported from the underworld through the demon tree. This tree is in the Indian Burial Ground and is cursed by Oyohusa. It is believed that the Demon Tree is a portal to the underworld.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
Purewalkers have enough control to plot and plan. There are rumors of packs of skinwalkers that lay waste to everything in their path. So even if it is allowed. It is rare to find purewalkers with close bonds or falling in love with each other.
Purewalkers are monsters through and through with no resentment or struggle with their twisted nature. This being said they are violent and agressive towards everything and everyone. With this violent and agressive nature it would be hard to form close bonds and to fall in love. Unless you are talking about the love for blood.

The Rest of It

Name: Akutenshi
Temper: Vengeful
Personality: Akutenshi is like a vengeful spirit and is always looking for her next victim. SHe takes the game cat and mouse to higher levels and enjoys it more then one should. But the blood she finds at the end game is the treat she seeks. Nothing can stop her and she is more then happy to kill whatever tires.
Brief History: My twins Shadow and Tsumetai lost their parents to a feline skinwalker. They were baskets and were well hidden. But Akutenshi who killed their parents knew that were hiding something. She looked for what felt like forever. At last there was no sigh of a thing in the area. This wasn't going to stop her. Even if she has to come back later down the road to find it. Then she would do so.
What is this character currently doing in the Kawani? She is looking for the two who got away. She had killed a mare flutter and a unicorn stallion a year or two back. Having the feeling that the couple she killed was hiding something that she couldn't find then. She just had to return and have another look. Finding that the scent of the couple she killed back then was mixed and strong in this area.
She knew that the thing they hid from her was offspring. This excited her. She had new pray. Now all she had to do was find them. These new victims that somehow got away from her the first visit will not get away this time. Nothing will get in her way from her goal that her mind is set.

The Questions

1. Where do Purewalkers come from?
  • Purewalkers are born with pelts and wickedness in their heart. They were dragged out from the underworld through the roots of the demon tree in the Indian Burial ground. Oyohusa was the shaman whom's heart was engulfed by darkness and made a deal with a malicious spirit. Eventually, he made another deal with the dark spirit and using his shamanic powers, opened up a portal to the underworld to allow through the original skinwalkers.

2. Is a Purewalker ever allowed to make a close bond or fall in love with another? If so, what are the exceptions to the rules? If not, what keeps them from such a thing?
  • No, the are not allowed to make a close bond. No, they do not fall in love. They can sometimes work together, but only for short periods. Walkers are solitary by nature so don't like to form bonds. If a group is formed, it is normally among other walkers, and even then, would cause problems for power.

The Rest of It

Name: Sûlfëa
  • Elvish 'Sûl' and 'Fëa', meaning 'wind' and 'spirit' respectfully. Her name is also close to the element 'sulfur', in which is an essential element for all life, in which seems to fit her, since evil is an essential element of life as well.

Temper: Avarice
  • Excessive or insatiable desire for wealth or gain

Personality:
  • Aggressive and hotheaded, Sûlfëa goes for what she wants and will continue doing so until she has it. She is swift when it comes to her hunts, but sometimes her aggression and hot-headed personality leads her to rushing into things.
  • Sûlfëa can also be a bit seductive and manipulative. When she is seductive, it is more of a ploy so she can gain the trust of someone and either kill them or convince them to become a skinwalker. Her name holds true to her kills; they are swift like the wind. She doesn't believe in prolonging death.

Brief History:
  • The first day Sûlfëa got out of the portal, nothing bothered her much than her desire for meat. Not thinking of just killing but the hunger in her stomach, she killed a buffalo whom she didn't know was the familiar of a warrior Soquili. That Soquili, seeing the death of their friend as well as a young purewalker, decided to kill Sûlfëa. Sûlfëa managed to escape, but from that day forward, she craved the blood of 'warriors' more than anyone else.

What is this character currently doing in the Kawani?
  • Sûlfëa thirst for blood doesn't just come from killing anyone, but from the blood of those that deemed themselves 'warriors'. She continues to hunt them every day, whether it be her tracking them through the tales she overhears or turning herself from being hunted to the hunter.
  • In addition to finding the strong and killing them, Sûlfëa also finds the weak of heart and mind. She glorifies herself and the purewalker race, slowly convincing the Soquili to join the skinwalker race. If the Soquili isn't as weak-minded as she had first intended, Sûlfëa kills them without mercy.
