wooga Paes Yup! 8D Well, born there, but my family moved to Shanghai when I was young, so we spent a few years there too and I went to an international school. Coming to college last year was actually the first time I'd spent more than like... two weeks in the US XD Taqa: 7 He didn't have as much time to land an attack as he might have liked. Maraba's reaction forced him to turn as well, back into the face-off they had had before. He did his best to knock his opponent's paws out of the way, in what could only be called a defensive motion. There would be plenty of time to set himself up for a more solid blow later on. For now, it seemed, more readjustment was in order.

MoonRazor That must have been a rather exciting move! I take it you're adapating well? : D Maraba: 12 Fortunately for him, Maraba did appear to be a small step ahead on preparing for the next attack. He did not intend on giving Taqa too much time and space to plan against him, and he felt if he kept this fight up for just a little longer he would be able to end it. Maybe. As much as Maraba didn't want to start life in the pride by 'beating up' one of his new family members, it simply wasn't good sport to not do one's best to win. So he didn't wait even a second when Taqa turned around and just hurried right into him, paws ready to hit the other lion wherever he could.

wooga Paes Oh, definitely. It was a biig change. I'm doing well with it, though, and having a ton of fun, so it's all good. Although I don't enjoy winters here XD
There was apparently less time to set himself up than he had expected. Caught somewhat off guard by the rapid attack, he took a step back. His first reaction was to keep moving, try to disengage, and then reevaluate the fight. But attempting to disengage might only result in his being driven back by more blows. There didn't seem to be much choice but to stand his ground and work with what he had.
Raising his paws, he fended off some of the blows and did his best to land his own.

MoonRazor lool, we're kind of opposites there I guess xD I love cooold, cold winter >> though I guess I dunno what it's like in Chicago! Maraba: 11 He had a feeling that, if he kept up at this long enough, he might be able to end it. Which would be all the better, because otherwise Maraba might be out. He received a few blows, and did his best to just push through them as he tried to continue landing hits of Taqa.
Thinking quickly, he decided to go for Taqa's paws, in hopes that he might trip the other male up, and give Maraba a chance to pin him down.

Maraba: 9 MoonRazor Southeastern Brazil~ It is mega hot here. Right now it is so hot I cannot sleep. But I spent a year in Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior xD Personally I loooved the cold winter!
