The cold natured woman, with ice filled heart, was shocked by the girl's strength. Most of her prisoners would have already broken down by now and offered their lives to her. Of course, such acts are worthy of disrespect and often land them in more torture then they were to begin with. This girl had stayed silent while branded, and now, handed a harsh reality, she did not wallow in self pity nor beg for mercy. It was...odd. Being a lion, she was raised with strength. You are strong, or you die, but this hawk, was something else. It was very interesting.
She knew the others would pick her off like a fly. With a soft sigh, she walked to the windows in the hut, and locked them shut, then did the same with the door. The girl was so upset with something, that she needed something to distract her. And as much as the Regina hates to give away information, it might save the girl's life, which might be helpful in the future.
She kneeled down by the girl and spoke softly. "The shadow of which I speak has fangs. Out there, you are dinner. As are we. There is not much that can kill a lion, but two of my people have been killed in the last six months. None have gone missing, as I have heard rumors of. I beg that you stay, until the weather is clear and you can fly home directly from here. If you are killed and never found, my people could be blamed. We have children who are precious and do not need to see war, if we can delay it. I know you are not a spy. The pain you show is real, and if you allow me, I can do what I can. But my people must not see much of you. You do not want criminals to know much about your life. I promise you that. Even if I decreed it a secret, my people would still know too much."
It was a sad truth really. Being criminals, meant that they always gathered and stored information. Even if she said they could never use it against the hawk people or the girl, it still might happen. Accidents happen. If they are assassins, and ordered to kill the girl, and they just happen to already know who she is, for example. Its bad all the way around. The less they know, the better for everyone. Regina, however, does not share information with the lesser lions if she does not wish it. Thats the pleasure of being Regina.

D U S T I N ~ Rex of the WereLions ~ X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Dustin was running through the trees, bow in hand. He had been tracking a spy for the past hour when he came to a small clearing. Snarling under his breath, he put the bow away and walked through the clearing. Several Tracks where there and all of which scented as Lions, and something else. A foreign scent. An intruder. Dustin looked up and waited as his eyes adjusted to the dim light and he growled. He stood up and blinked as he heard a summoning roar. Rolling his eyes, he dashed towards the Huts dodging trees and leaping over bushes.
As he ran into the camp, he stopped and slowed to a walk. He snapped his fingers to a group of guards and he said angrily, "Where is the spy?" The guard winced slightly as Dustin commanded him. "She's....She's with Azura, Rex." Dustin groaned and rolled his eyes. "If that's true then the girl is probably already dead." Dustin waved his hand, dismissing the guard and stormed through the camp and came up to the hut in which Azura and the spy were located. "Get out of my way!" Rex snarled. He then pushed the door open rather harshly and flicked his hood off and slammed the door behind him. Ignoring Azura, Dustin snarled and started pacing. He was in a rage and his pupils turned from round to slits and his color changed from brown to yellow as he stalked in a line in front of the Avian. "I have been tracking you for hours, running my a** off looking for your tail. I go and get ambushed by some shadowy thing who takes a chunk out of my arm and now you are here and sitting in our huts?" Dustin panted as he became aware of the blood dripping from his hand. His sleeve was in tatters. He looked at Azura. "This is the spy right?" He asked in a deadly voice. X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Location: Lyra hut Company: Azura and The Spy. Mood: Rage. OOC: Well well. Azura stood, not afraid of the Rex, whom intimidated many. He was a lion, in the full meaning of the term. But she was Regina. She had grown up with him and their other age mates, and she was a lioness. She knew her place, and she was just as dangerous. She did not tend small wounds or rock children to sleep. She carved her name into her enemies and stepped in the pools of their blood. She made people cower at the thought of her wrath, so no. She did not fear her Rex. "Rex, she was questioned. She is not a spy. I think she is a common Hawk, someone who simply wandered where they were not supposed to. Ive already marked her. " She looked down at the girl, then frowned.
She turned to attention back to the Rex. "You were ambushed?" Oh, that did not sit well with the Queen. She looked down at the girl. "Girl, this is our Rex. I will be back, try not to get yourself killed until then." She said, and left the hut to go find the guards .
She left , and wandered until she found the guards she was looking for. She inspected them, and began yelling , asking them how they could be so stupid. It only took a few moments, and the guards begging on their knees. She returned to the hut, and leaned against the wall. A few strands of her golden blonde hair, were loose and against her face.
She moved, and walked over to the Rex. She touched his arm, and generated a small layer of ice over the wound to seal it. She backed away back towards the wall. She just did not want the wound to get infected until it could be treated. Now her worry was for the Avian. This was not a safe place for someone soft of nature.

D U S T I N ~ Rex of the WereLions ~ X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Dustin stopped pacing and pulled up a chair. Here, he twisted it around and sat on it backwards and sat down.He stared at the girl as the Regina stormed out and started screaming at the guards and he waited. He was Rex, but because Azura was the Regina, he waited for her before he would say anything. He respected the female. He was tough and ruthless, much like himself and she wasn't scared of anyone. Not even him. So he waited patiently.
When the door opened and the Regina stalked back in, only then did the Male speak. "Not a spy, but a common Hawk. I see." He said softly. He paused slightly when he heard Azura's footsteps and then her touch on his wounds. The cooling sensation as her fingers brushed his skin, freezing it sent chills down his spine. The male looked up at her and nodded then turned his eyes, which had turned to normal, back to the girl. "This...Shadow. Yes, Regina. It ambushed me. It shames me to admit it, but it has more stealth than I do and moves faster than Anything I've every seen Though I did lose my best arrows to it. It bleeds, so it is able to be killed." Rex spat out each word as if they were nails. He stared at the girl and then said sharply. "I see no reason to keep you here. Besides, your stench is defiling this hut. You will leave our land and never return, If you do, I will make sure you don't fly back to your Homelands. In one piece that is." The Rex snapped his fingers and a member of the Elite Guards walked in. "Get her out of here. If she attacks you, kill her." The Guard nodded and grabbed the Avian roughly and dragged her away and out the door.
Rex stood up and roared and put his foot through the chair he had been sitting on, shattering the wood. He snarled and began to pace again. "This is confusing Azura." He murmured. He was furious about the fact that he was bested by a shadow. He! The best warrior in the WereLions, bested by a shadow! He sat down on the bed and rolled his injured shoulder. "I want the young kept in a single place. I don't want them running around the village at night or unsupervised. Guards are to be doubled. The best at night. Understand?" He said to the Regina. He was troubled, and nothing was more dangerous than a troubled Lion. "Oh and Azura? I'm serious about the girl. If she comes back, kill her. On site." With that he called the medic in and allowed him to thaw the ice and address his wounds. X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Location: Lyra hut Company: Azura and The Hawk. Mood: Angry. OOC:

She watched as the guards came for the avain guards, but she knew not to argue with the Rex's orders, especially not in front of his men. She waited until the guards were gone, before she spoke directly to her husband. "Dustin, there is a blizzard coming. The girl is injured and will be killed. If she doesnt show up back home they could track her path here, and blame us. With this shadow and the cobras coming back, we can't afford a war. Not with the young at risk. Our people are not ready." As much as she hated to admit it, this was not a good time for war. Being a war bred creature, she wanted to fight, to prove herself , but she could not.
She stood nearby as the medic came to treat the Rex. She would double the guard, and the young would be kept inside, the curfew would be kept. It was the girl who kept her attention. "If she comes back. I will kill her on site." She said, agreeing. Even if the girl was innocent, returning would be an act of war, and she would have to treat it as such. But until then, the girl was still on their lands. She couldnt fly away, and until she left, she was their problem.
"I wish she was a spy. Then I could have simply tortured her and everything would be as it should be." Speaking of which, she had a date with a prisoner soon. She promised to break all of his fingers. She had to keep her promise. She had fun with her prisoners. Most of them are spys or people who did her pride wrong. She doesnt let those things go lightly.
She watched as the medic thawed the ice, and she felt the need to apologize. Almost. After all, it was a thin layer, nothing to worry about. Now a burn, that would be not so good. After all, for her, a burn was disaster. Simply standing near open flame could easily burn her. Its sad really.

This will make the Guard work faster and harder to get her to the edge of the territory. She has plenty of time before the storm hits." He looked at his wife and nodded.
When the medic finished, Dustin dismissed him with a thank you, which was rare. Then he placed a hand on his wife's shoulder. "Regina, the young will be fine. If the storm was already upon us, I would have left the Avian here. She is a strong Avian. She will survive and if she knows better, she wont start a war. The Avians would come here, our home turf. Cast these thoughts out of your beautifully twisted brain." He smiled again and hugged her and then walked out into the village.
Dustin was one of the tallest males in the village and had the most characteristics of an animal. His hair was darker, his eyes changed and his senses were heightened. Dustin left a sudden weight on his leg and he looked down and saw a Young one. He smiled and hoisted the three year old up and set him on his shoulders and walked through the village with him, barking orders for the guards to seal the gates and close the windows down. The Young would be Split up and deployed with the Elite Guards and The Rex and Regina. Here they would be warm and protected. Dustin set the boy down and pointed to the house with his Elite Guards shepherding the young ones into a house. Dustin walked around the walls and nodded to two of his guards and together they returned to the Lyra hut and He poked his head in and said to Azura, "I'm going to check the perimeter around the walls and the huts before we settle down for the Blizzard. I'll be back soon. Have fun with your prisoner!" With that, he disappeared. "Lets go boys!" The morphed as one and they ran out the gates. She nodded, with a soft sigh. He was right. If they hurried, they might be able to make it. She still would have preferred that the girl had stayed, but she was at too much risk to be eaten. In full honestly, it was not a good idea for anyone besides their own kind to be here. The lions ran a tight ship, as was evidence by the way the guards rushed to do as they are asked. She watched the Rex leave, then come back to tell her he was checking perimeter. It made sense to her. She shrugged and and watched him go off with the guards.
She got up and ran out of the hut, heading towards the prisons. Her feet, though bare, were quick as she made her way out of the main cluster of huts and towards the prison huts. It was not far, and the closer she got, the stronger the smell of blood grew. The sounds of crying and screaming were clear, and she walked in, smiling as she walked to a wall where three prisoners were chained. She picked one, walking to him, and pulling him up. She used her key to unlock the chains, then pull him out of the hut, to the outside. She pushed him to the ground, and then climbed on top. He was weak, so he couldnt fight her. She grabbed his hand, and applied pressure to each finger, slowly, and the screams let her know, she was doing it right.
She finished, and smiled at him. "Now. Ive kept my promise. Now, would you like to tell me where you buried her?" She prisoner, covered in blood and tears, nodded. She climbed off of him, and pulled him up by his hand. The man was half starved, but he was willing to talk now. He was a tiger mix. Cast out from his own kind. He had mated with a lioness. But in a fight, he had killed her and their unborn child. A crime worthy of execution. But they never found her body. "I buried her in the woods, right past the edge of the border." The Regina smiled, and motioned to a nearby guard. The guard came and restrained the prisoner.
Regina took out her knife and slit the mans throat. She motioned to the guard, who dragged him away. The girls body was long gone, so they couldnt dig her up, but at least they knew what happened to her. It did matter.
She got up , and walked, blood stained dress and all, to her hut. She walked back to her hut, and stepped inside, walking to the bedroom. She sat down on the bed, simply thinking.

Zoey Alluseria Avian Princess Before Zoey left the Hut she looks at the Rex, "I think the Shadow was a snake." She didn't know why she wanted to tell him that but if it followed her here she wasn't all that safe going home. Still she wouldn't just stay she would have to run. Moving on the ground was always so much slower then flying.
The guard pulls on her arm making a shoot of pain up her arm. She really wished she didn't end up with werelions right now. And if the shadow was still around she could get killed before she gets home. That would be horrible if anyone learns where she was. For it would start a war. Maybe she should have told them who she was. Then maybe if they really didn't want war she wouldn't need to worry that the guard. "You should go home I can see the mountain from here." She was right she could see her home miles away. The guard laughs "not till we're out of lion territory."
She closes her eyes a little as the lion pulls her along. She wished her wing wasn't damaged or she'll be home far. Walking it might talk a day or two.

D U S T I N ~ Rex of the WereLions ~ X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ It took Dustin and the two guards an hour to search the perimeter. If the Shadow was in the territory, it was no where near the village. Growling and looking at each in turn, Dustin arched his huge head up to the darkened sky as the snow began to fall. Time to go. Rex thought as he turned around and started running.
Dustin and the Guards ran into the village and then the gates slammed shut behind them. Dustin nodded to each and he growled, prowling the streets until everyone was in their huts and secured. Dustin nodded and looked into the blizzard and walked to the hut and pushed the door open with his large head.
The larger Lion prowled into the Lyra hut and looked at Azura and her blood stained dress and growled in approval. Morphing, Dustin stretched and chuckled, "Dealt with the prisoner then? Where was the girl buried?" He asked softly. The girl's death had thrown the Rex into a rage and he had killed two of the prisoners just to satisfy his rage. He pulled his shirt off and ran some water over his face and palms. He looked around at the sleeping Young Ones and he sat beside his wife as he dried his palms. She looked up in time to see the Rex, in lion form, walk into the hut. They were in Lyra's hut, which is where the children usually stay, but they did have their own hut, across from this one. She would go there shortly, but for now, she was here to make sure the children were okay. She would what for Lyra to get back to watch the children, before she left. Lyra was very capable of protecting them. As she sat on the bed, she looked over to her husband, who was washing blood off his hands. It seemed they were always washing blood off of something.
Thinking back to the girl who was murdered, brought sadness to her. The girl had been an age mate, they had all grown up together. Her child was her first, and with no direct family, her family line ended with her and her unborn child. "Beyond our lands, but barely. He buried her near the small river, which is what kept her scent from us." Azura had a ability not only over ice, but to locate her own pride. She had a inner connection with them, like a thread. It meant she was good at tracking runaways.
Yet, when the girl had vanished, Azura could not sense her, which is how they knew she was dead. You can't sense the dead. Just then, a lioness walked in, her golden hair dirty, and her dress torn. It was Lyra, back from the hunt, and making sure all the children had gotten home safely. "Rex. Regina." Azura smiled and stood up, wrapping the lioness in a hug. The two were close. Azura spoke softly to the woman and walked back to Dustin. "Do you want to go home? Lyra can watch the children. Besides, we need to talk about a few things, that...may give nightmares to small children." They needed to talk about the cobras and the increasing number of spys.

The chill wind caught as his dark ebony hair and tossed it playfully about in the air but despite its frivolous nature the cold sent shards of ice down his spine. He shivered, drawing his cloak closer about him and narrowing his eyes at the approaching village. The land of the Werelions stretched vastly before his thin lanky figure as he trudged towards the huts clustered protectively together. He paused in his efforts, rocking back on the heels of his feet, locks of his black hair catching at his panting lips and draping regally around his face. Despite the cold, sweat beaded his brow and it was clear he was weak with illness.
The land of the Lions. He would be foolish to approach them as one of their own. With his inky black hair, brilliant green eyes and pale skin it would be foolish to try. No instead he would approach them as a werewolf, lost astray by the blowing winds and struggling. His eyes glowed a poisonous green in the overcast light before he blinked rapidly. He could of course expect immediate hostilities and it would be interesting to see their reactions. The Lions alongside the Tigers were the hardest to grasp a hold of and many of his spies had been caught already. And so out of curiosity and a desire to observe he had come here himself. The Cobra King.
A sharp smirk curled its way across his mouth and he lifted his hand, examining the trim coat sleeve that clad his arm with mild interest. Without a moment of hesitation he bared his teeth and abruptly sank his fangs into his flesh, blood pooling across the waxy skin and filling his mouth with a copper taste. He withdrew his head, licking away the blood from his mouth with a quick, flickering tongue. Crimson immediately soaked through his sleeve, staining the fabric a dull color as he brushed a lock of hair from his face with a trembling hand. He tucked his injured arm against his side and then began to trudge forward again, his sharp gaze stuck unwavering on the village before him.
A viper carves its own path through the dense jungle, its body denied of the dexterity of fingers-denied the mobility of legs. It was by far the most underestimated predator in the animal kingdom for who would fear a lanky snake when a lion is near? The smirk on his lips stretched into a malevolent sneer before smoothing out into a mask of unemotion. The final change came as his brow furrowed in pain and false fear and he huddled in on himself, stumbling forward like a lamed animal. What the viper lacked in physical strength it made up in cunning. The lion could roar as it pleases, loud and boisterous and the cobra would be content to slink through the grass, equally as dangerous and so much more silent...
With that final thought Sarkis Asmodeus stepped into the line of sight of the patrolling guards and allowed himself to be found.

When they left Lyra's hut, the blizzard kept her from catching the scent of the non pack member. And although she was keen to ice, she still had trouble seeing. Thankfully he lead them back to the hut without any trouble. She walked inside, and watched as he locked and bolted the door. She walked to the window, and locked it as well. She walked to the side, and opened the door, opening it to reveal a small room. It was Conner's, but he was at Lyra's house with the others. It was important for the children to grow up together, and in groups. It gives them a stronger sense of unity. Besides, he can't very well follow his parents around all day. He has things he has to learn from his peers.
She walked back to her husband, taking the pins out of her hair, so it fell in curls on her shoulders. She sat down in a nearby chair, and looked at him. "We have caught three spies in two days. One of them was cobra. And we are missing two people. I can't feel them, so I know they are dead. They were good hunters. We can't afford to keep loosing people. " She paused. She stood up, and walked into the their bedroom, taking off her dress, and throwing it in a pile. Most of her clothes needed to be mended and that was the job of one of the other women. The girls who were not strong hunters, they did the small tasks like that.
She put on a different dress. This one was brown, and shorter. She came out, and had the dagger in its sheath at her waist. She sat back down. "I think we should have everyone stay within perimeters for a few days, so everyone can rest, and train a bit. We have plenty of food, and with the blizzard, it will make everything harder. " She could feel the ice gathering outside, and knew the blizzard would be..a harsh one.

D U S T I N ~ Rex of the WereLions ~ X≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ ≎ Dustin listened intently. He knew about the two members disappearing. He sighed and stood, beginning to pace. The spies were becoming a problem it seemed. Dustin sighed and sat down again. "Yes. That is a good Idea." He knew the Regina was right. They couldn't lose anymore people. He placed a hand on his wife's and he smiled. He adored his family and his Pride. So when a faint, but noticeable scent filled his sensitive nostrils. The Rex tensed. He tilted his head and sniffed. "Strange. Blood and a foreign scent. First smelled of cobra and now smells of Werewolf. Hmm." His eyes widened and he shifted into defense mode. "Azura, go to the houses with the children and order them to hide. Then meet me at the gates." He tossed her a cloak and then slipped on one of his own and then put on his bow. He unbolted the door and slipped out and trotted to the Gate Tower.
Dustin ran up the stairs and looked out into the blowing snow and noticed the staggering figure of a Werewolf. He blinked as fangs appeared and his eyes turned yellow and into slits. "Guards. Seal the Gate. If that beast comes any closer, Kill it." They were weak enough as it is and he wasn't in the mood to deal with a stupid wolf. The walls would remain sealed and the huts protected. He pulled an arrow out and loosed it to the left of the figure. Then wind then carried it and had it bury itself into the ground near the figure's feet. "Shoot against the wind. I want it killed if it comes any closer." He growled and then shook his head. He wouldn't deal with a spy or wolf now. He would hunt it down with his wife later and skin it. She caught the robe, and hurried to put it on. She slipped out the door and out into the blinding snow. She was barefoot, but the ice did not bother her. She made it to Lyra's hut and told the children to hide. Lyra did as well, pulling Conner to hide beside her. Conner was the future Rex and it was important he be safe. His peers looked up to him to know what to do. As they had Dustin. She left the hut, and fought against the strong wind to make it to the front gates. Eventually she gave up, letting loose a growl of frustration, and anger, as she too caught the scent. She shifted forms, her golden skin the light among the white snow.
She ran as fast as she could towards the gate. She finally made it, looking at her husband then at the guards. She shifted back to human form, and looked through the blizzard to the figure. He looked injured. She growled, not pleased. "I don't like this at all. Even an injured man does not dare come to us for help, let alone in the darkness or in snow." It made no sense. She looked at the guards, and agreed that death would come if the stranger got too close. She did not play mercy.
Unlike the Rex, she could not use a bow. Her only weapon was her dagger, and it was used for torture. For fighting, she used her lioness form. Or her human form, and her icy touch. She used her connection with the pack to try to keep them all calm. Some were afraid, others were just angry. "What is he doing here?"
