Perhaps it was the excitement of the news, or the way her heart was simply pounding in her chest from the sheer delight swelling in her soul all at once; but the grimace on his face at the mention of her...well aunt-in-law had gone mostly unnoticed. That or it just plum well didn't phase her, Zaiella had not met the mare...and as far as she knew her uncle was still alive so that had to be a sign she wasn't completely evil? Her father had nothing nice to say about his brother anyways, so it was safe to say she had little to no contact other than words from her grandpa.
"There is truth in that...." She noted the forlorn on his vocals, and she too watched the rock tumble away before she continued. "But one doesn't have to always be lonely. I'm not lonely right now.."
She hoped, that he wasn't feeling so lonely either during their time...together.
As the mare shook her ivory mane quickly, she offered a bit of a sheepish smile. She did note she red upon his face, some of which she was sure still lingered along her own. "No demons, I promise! If they are well....even I didn't know of them." If there were she would probably beg to keep him around, her life wasn't that exciting to really have mysteries and dark secrets like some others may.
It was really hard for her to keep the amazement contained, her eyes big and bright as she listened to him speak once more about helping her fly. He meant it, truly, sincerely meant it. She wasn't sure of any words which could describe what she was feeling at the moment, and as a breeze brushed by her face to push at her bangs she had a feeling the word just plum well didn't exist. Turning her eyes to Ezekiel with that starry gaze of hers she nodded her head before speaking up with tones failing at containing her unbridled joy. "I really don't know how I could ever thank you. I'll think of something though!" He never asked for repayment, but he would get it. Someway, somehow. Such a generous and kind act could not go unpaid in her books! "Well, needless to say, I am not a full wind either, so I am greatful for well, any height I can get and to not land on my face." A short bought of laugher later and she had trotted a few steps forward through the field; turning back around to face him.
"I would love it more than anything! We can get our breakfast first." Zaiella spoke of course of visiting her grandparents with him. How often did she want to bring back a friend to meet the other most wonderful souls in her life? "Come on, Ezekiel! Lets begin our adventure!!" Corny, yes. Yet in this whirlwind of a morning, its exactly what she felt was in store - nothing short of a grand story.

I'm not sure if you wanted to continue in this one the flight training or make it a new thread. We could possibly skip forward to that afternoon or the next day; kind of give them some time to get some distance towards her homeland? Either way is fine with me, I tried to leave it somewhat open for you to post here, or we can switch to a new thread and call this done? XD <3 I'm game for anything.

I'm not lonely right now.
Those words rang in Ezekiel's head. Such sweet words. He wasn't used to being alone like this. Back at the settlement, he had made friends with the other foals his age as well as the human boy. So he was always around others. Even when he was doing his training to strengthen his healing powers there were others near him. It was never a good time, but he was still never alone. Be it the humans forcing him to concentrate or the injured beast they were having him test his healing on. Never a gravely injured beast, at the very least. He managed to have small conversations with them while he was trying to heal them.
It was for that reason alone he was glad he wasn't full Uni. No doubt he would have improved much faster and they would have made him practice on worse wounds. It never ceased to amaze him how cruel some humans could be. At least with the evil breeds of Soq, they knew full well their victims had feelings. Some humans seemed to think otherwise of their animal companions. Or just didn't care.
Ezekiel wasn't sure which was worse. Hurting when you knew they could feel. Or hurting because you didn't know.
Now that he found someone after all that horror was done with, he would use what he learned from the humans to keep her safe. Oh, the perks of the horn and tail.
"I'm glad to hear that." The stallion's smile broadened, his split hooves dancing in the grass about his feet in not-so-hidden embarrassment at the continued insistence of making it up to him. He really didn't want anything. Just having company that wasn't half dead was reward enough. "You really don't have to."
"So long as the adventure starts with food," was all he had to say as his stomach started to growl. Tirokio That's good. <3 Hard to keep on track of everything. So many things and B/C need attention. To help keep Ezekiel under control, yes, while I torture him explore his past. Same to you if you want him for something. I love all kinds of RP, mushy or evil~ I'd rather make a new one. Feels like they're opening a new chapter. I like keeping everything all organized like that. x3 I can start the next one maybe tomorrow or Monday.
