To say that Athene was surprised when the black and white haired senshi dehenshined into the more familiar form of Gwendolyn Caspian was something of an understatement – in fact for a moment he actually gaped at the other teenager for a moment before his normal polite manner kicked in and he managed to get his facial expression under control. “Definitely a big surprise” he admitted at last, taking advantage of the street’s emptiness to dehenshin back into Arian Laith. “But a good one” he added with a smile. Apart from his team Gwen was the first to know of his powered alter-ego.

Gwen gave a smile from ear to ear, her smile a little impish and feeling rather giddy, as though she had just given someone the biggest gift she could muster. He wasn't the first senshi to know of her civilian identity, though at least this one was more or less on purpose and not completely by accident. No, she was Super rank now; she couldn't afford to make such mistakes! "I was awakened a little after you and Minkowski rescued me from that youma attack way back when," Gwen explained. "Been playing this game ever since then... dusting youma here and there, fighting the forces of Chaos as well. I won... sometimes." She didn't want to bring up the defeats. He wouldn't be interested in that. She gave a shrug, and she regretted it. A hand to her shoulder told her that her wounds she suffered from the fight had made its way into staining her civilian side, and now that the adrenaline from the fight had worn off, she looked for a place to sit. "Though... I could be a little more careful from time to time..."

“That wasn’t that long after ********* upgraded my henshin pen” Athene gave a slight smile “********* the guardian cat that gave me my henshin pen in the first place back at my first ever trip to summer camp.” It had been his last trip too – then again given that he’d met a talking cat with a sweet tooth, discovered he had a powered alter-ego and then seen swamp monster thingies take over the camp that first-last trip had certainly been eventful enough. The smile turned to a concerned look as Gwen place a hand to her shoulder “Are you okay?” He remembered the youma clawing at her earlier.

Gwen was really not that much different from her senshi persona, in the means that she was tough, eager, and very, very prideful. She never wanted to admit to herself or to anyone, whether they be friend or foe, if she was ever injured or needed help (though there have been times she was pushed to that point, and she's never willingly decline assistance when it comes). This time, however, he had seen her get clawed, and she figured that her pride could afford the blow... after all, it was Athene. Surely he would not think little of her in asking for assistance, when he was so willing twice before. "I'll be fine... but I might have to do a raincheck on that study session..." Gwen said, poking at her shoulder and not too happy that her dark gray uniform did little to hide the injury, but it wasn't THAT serious. Not as serious as it could have been had Athene not arrived... she didn't want to think about it, so, she wouldn't! "If you have any bandaids, I'd appreciate it." Or SOMETHING that could absorb it, so that Maddy wouldn't freak out when she returned home with these gashes in her shoulder. It was already bad enough having to explain the spear blade cuts to her side... this? This was nothing. litian We can wrap this up soon, if you like. Just let me know.

Arian nodded at the rain-check comment and then shook his head at the mention of bandaids “I don’t have any bandaids” he admitted. It wasn’t something that he carried around – although given some of his extracurricular activities maybe it was something to consider given there were times he’d ended up with youma-induced scrapes himself. “There’s a general store nearby though – I could pick some up for you if you want?” The dark-haired teen hadn’t quite managed to completely spend his weekly allowance just yet and figured that he probably had enough to pick up some plasters if Gwen wanted. He made the offer a question – for all he knew Gwen might just want to head home. ChibiGingi I agree that this can be wrapped up soon - maybe a post or so more on both sides smile

The thought of walking into a general store with blood coating her shoulders bothered her, more than it really should have. It was that, or risk getting home and Maddy seeing her scratched up again... though, after her ordeals with Negaverse generals, a few scratches on her shoulders was nothing that Maddy couldn't handle. She gave a shrug, wincing against the pain that caused and she waved off the notion. "Nah, I'll be fine. I don't have much money with me anyway, and my home isn't that far away. Don't worry, I'm a tough girl!" She grabbed her book sack and slung it over her shoulders haphazardly, grunting at the pain before getting it settled, and she didn't want to waste anymore of Athene's time. "Maybe we can do that study session tomorrow or later in the week... assuming we're not interrupted by our Senshi duties. Maybe we can patrol together, if you need a second pair of hands?" Normally Tsui wasn't one for paired-up patrols, but she promised she'd try to branch out more often. Besides, she trusted Athene; how could she not after he helped her out on multiple occasions? litian Consider this done on my side, then. ^_^ Pleasure doing business with you, per usual!

Arian nodded taking at face value that Gwen would be okay “Later this week or even tomorrow will be fine to try for that study session” he said “I’m at the library a fair deal anyway.” He reached for his own bag, swinging it up and onto his shoulders “And sure, I’d like that” he agreed in answer to Gwen’s query about patrolling together, despite more often than not patrolling alone, the dark-haired teen wasn’t particularly wedded to it. “Maybe next time we can scan each other into our senshi phones too.” With a final wave goodbye, Arian was off too, continuing back along his interrupted route to the library. He was planning to spend at least an hour there, maybe more – after all much as he would wish otherwise – he still had that extra Maths classwork that he had yet to work on.
