I have no preferences honestly! :'DIn D&D, Suhail (the character Brilliant Star is based on) has a sort of wanderlust because his warlock patron (represented by Far-Off in kinland) wants to see the world. So I imagine Star has a sort of weird relationship with the alien wasp, and likes to show her around ... probably a little odd since he's not wholly familiar with the swamp yet himself. Maybe Star is lost and runs into Heartseeker, since she presumably knows her way around a little better than he does?
