She watched her offering burn, refusing to let herself think it might have been a poor choice of item. Her own fur didn't seem appropriate when she had this relic with much more meaning and connection to what she was decidedly moving on from. So she watched the wanidatsi stubbornly as he waited, smiling only when he finally announced her clan and welcomed her.
"Thank you," she said, moving on to let the next lion go.
Mantis Clan, very interesting.

(I'm assuming she's being played as an adult, let me know if its otherwise!)
Skan's attention shifted to the next in line, and he was a little surprised that she seemed to nervous. Perhaps it was because the previous few seemed excited, confident, with only a touch of anxiety over the unknown. This female....was seemingly not certain of her choice to join them. Skan kept his mouth closed as he watched her, not wanting to encourage her one way or another. It was her choice, and he's completely. His influence on her would alter that, and he knew better than to sway her decision.
"Tafuki," he said with a faint smile as he gathered her offering, letting it burn away in the smoke. It was interesting, seeing another white rogue join there kind. Though the pelts of the cloud children were no longer celebrate because of the rogue blood mixed with the old blood, he knew that a few were still swayed by it.
"Your fate is to become part of the Bird Clan. Take a deep breath, chin up, and go join them," he added with a warmer smile than before.

Skan was a little less tense once the more nervous white female had passed on. He always forgot how easy it was to pick up and 'adopt' someone else's emotions when their whole future rode on his readings. He took a moment to catch his breath, adding more fuel to the smoldering pile (with small flames licking out once in a while), making sure that the right amount of herbs were burning. Alright.
He was set for the next one, and she approached quite readily. Almost like day and night between the two females. This one seemed excited for this new future of hers, and was ready to find out. With a not, he took her gift and sprinkled it into the ceremonial mound, watching the smoke tease and play with itself as it dissipated into the sky above.
"Myrina, your home is within the Shadow Clan."

The next one to approach him was....a little too excited. Skan was always wary of rogues, but those that just acted too excited and happy about joining always made him wary. He narrowed his eyes a bit, glancing at the brown male before him as he gathered up the offering. "Yes..." he said, still not saying much more than that. It was easy enough to use the ceremony as an excuse to not 'chat' with the male, but Skan wasn't sure if he wanted to. Well, whatever. He was welcome to be part of the Ela'wadiyi, and Skan knew that there were quite a few other extremely talkative members that this lion could connect with.
"Thank you," he said, burning the offering and judging where the lion should go. "You are to be part of the Bird Clan, Xanaris. Welcome."

Skan was more 'in the zone' that he was earlier, and the sense of familiarity made it easier to read the smoke trails as they curled into the sky. He nodded as the next lion approached, this Kibwe. He always appreciated the more personal offerings, like a snip of mane or fur. It seemed to read more clearly, though at times the gifts of items that were better left in the past life always told more interesting stories, and made Skan curious.
He read this lion's future easy enough, and felt reassured in a small smile towards the rich golden male. "Kibwe, join your clan mates within the Sky Clan."

Skan took a moment to take a deep breath. He needed a moment to pause, though he would not leave his spot until the ceremony was complete. He didn't want to lose his comfortable position, or his Sight that he sometimes had trouble calling up. His father had helped to teach him how to do it, though Skan was not as strong of a Seer as his father had been in his mortal life.
Feeling ready, he motioned for the next one to approach. A male. The dark, dark coat sent a slight shiver up Skan's spine, but the wanidatsi had had too many visions of their past. The past before he had even been a thought in his father's mind. The Eusi'uzulu. No, this was not a lion attached to it, but Skan knew that he had a strange dislike for lions with dark coats. Having a black-coated son had forced him to ease the discomfort so only he was aware of it, but old habits were hard to break when you had memories you didn't live though.
Taking the golden-coloured mane hair, Skan let it drift onto the pile, watching it twist and curl as if it was unwilling to burn. It didn't have much choice, but it was interesting to see it fighting back for just a moment.
"Azria. Your home and future are within the Mantis Clan. It is there you may find what you seek...go. And be welcome."

The strong sense of conviction over Azria's reading, he was feeling more confident. He wanted to complete this ceremony as soon as possible. The more time that the new members could spend with the pride, the sooner they would adjust to the customs and culture of the Ela'wadiyi. Hopefully, then, once the clans separated into their migration patterns, the ex-rogues would become one with their clans.
Seeing the female approach him shook him back to the task at hand. He nodded to the female and shifted the flower more into the fire, feeling his paw's fur get slightly singed. It was part of the job, and he only felt it because it had been so long since the last Tree Ceremony, and his burns had healed over.
"Channah," he said, narrowing his eyes as the flower curled and broke apart. It was interesting to see some of the petals dissolve apart from one another, and intrigued him. "You're to be with the Sky Clan. Welcome."

The next lion that approached him was quick to approach after the female had been placed in her clan. He was nervous, but it seemed to be a healthy nervous. This was a big step, and the male was very aware of that fact.
"Yes," he mumbled, watching as the flames licked at the beat, trying to consume it with all its might. The beat was strong, and resisted the heat for a long moment before finally succumbing. "Lancelot. I see your future in the Bird Clan, where you will find happiness. Welcome to the Ela'wadiyi."

Maraba Edi didn't have much to offer here. All he had was, honestly, himself. But he didn't look nervous as he approached Skan, because he was at peace with this step. After so much time wandering, he looked forward to life here. "Hello, Skan." He dipped his head politely, with a somewhat sheepish smile.
"I'm Maraba Edi, it is a honor to be here." And with that he offered some of his fur and the only physical thing he had taken in his journey, a simple hawk feather that had been knotted into his mane. His wandering days were over, and it was time to let go.

Ionúin was...very cautious about her approach. She wasn't sure how to deal with others anymore, beyond her family. Her time in the rogue lands had not been kind to her, and it showed in the fact she was a bit skinnier than might be healthy, and a bit scruffier. But she'd made sure to bath before this. After all..she was finding her place here, in this pride her mother and father had found. She brought with her two things: a bit of her own gray tail fur and a dried flower from the Mizuka'nyevu.
"My name is Ionúin. I seek a home, here, where my parents have settled." Her voice was quiet, and a little unsteady...but it did not break or crack.

Tabbris had followed his instincts here. Instincts and whispers and this female who seemed to be the complete opposite of him, and yet he had no qualms with. His ears flicked as dark aqua eyes looked at the lions around him. About his neck he had a bag that held a sacred treasure. It was sacred because Tabbris had watched the lightening strike the ground before him when he was on the sand of the beach. It struck right before him and made this bit of jagged glass. If he had stopped a second later than he did, he would have been dead, no doubt about it. He took it with him to remind himself, through his anxiety, that at the end of the day he was alive.
Following suit with everyone else, Tabbris stepped towards the tattooed male and bowed his head a little. "I am Tabbris." His voice was slightly high pitched, panicking a little since he had to meet a new lion. However, he knew this would be good for him. It would be a place he could start fresh. That he could learn to let go of his anxieties and become more than them.
He pulled out the jagged, sort of pinkish glass and offered it to the fire before him and Skan. Next, he pulled a bit of his own mane out and tossed it into the fire as well. After this, the dark male stepped back and waited, eyes down cast at his own paws.

Urzlan had watched calmly with Aarazthoorus as all the new comers step forward one by one and went through the ceremony that would determine which clan they would call home. he tried his best to be confident as he came up to Skan. giving a piece of his mane was all he he had to offer as a offering for the ceremony before he gave Skan his name." My name is Urzlan." going silent after speaking his name, he awaited to see what clan he would be placed in, and wondered if Aarazthoorus whom he had been traveling with would be placed in the same clan as him.

Skan was ready for the next one to approach, and nodded at the male that was the next one to come. The feather was an interesting touch, since many of the Ela decorated their manes and necks with feathers. Still, letting go of the past, and starting new roots within the Ela'wadiyi was the purpose of this ceremony.
He watched as the feather and mane hair burn, the smoke from each twirling together, offerings patterns of the past, and the possible futures that may come to pass. "Maraba Edi, you are very welcome within the Ela'wadiyi, but you home is within the Earth Clan. I welcome you."

Aarazthoorus stepped towards the male lion, hesitant at first, she pulled the feather with beads from behind her ear, and a lock of her silver fur and offered it to him. Nervous, she looked about, then back at him. "I'm Aarazthoorus" She said in a gentle voice, shuffling her paws slightly.
She wanted to be confident, but she always seemed to shy away when new things presented itself. She normally wasn't so nervous. Her tail flicked carefully back and forth. She inclined her head, as a thanks to the lion, and moved away as not to stand in anyone's way.

They had decided to come together after many hours of talking - which consisted of half her yelling in hyperactive means, and he, humming and hawing with a whimper, always looking at his paws. It took a lot of pushing and a bit of coercing, but now they were here, standing in front of the fire, waiting to see how their life would affect them from here on end.
"I am Korofi Shujaa" she stated after he had completed, bowing her head low in respect to the higher classed lion, nudging the male beside her as he clicker-clank walked through the steps, his high voice making her laugh softly as he put the hair in to the fire, before she walked forward with the feathers, lowering them toward the fire, allowing them to flash in the fire, showing her promise to the pride.
