Kinetav did not flinch or hesitate a bit as the spike of pain was sent over to him by the connection between Liliana and himself; the Anima had both read about and heard of the events surrounding the Swords of Salvation and the battles of Arron and one "Leifang" before Arron was captured thanks to Liliana and the reports gathered from the Swamp. The Seer's eyes gave signs of weakness in the form of pain, possibly even regret about that action, and Kinetav knew better than to press the issue any further. In the blink of a moment, before the Voidsworn had ample time to ask further questions of the both of them, the Kakurenbo bolted off in the direct of the city gates. As she walked away, the Voidsworn's focus on her aura became more keen, memorizing every trace of her soul and following it through the trees despite her physical form becoming lost in the fray.
A small grin crept onto his face as he spoke to Liliana, once again alone with the Lady as Edge was the first to speak from underneath the cloak,
"Cute girl. I wonder if she'll be alright."
The words 'I want you back alive by any means necessary' rang relentlessly through the Anima's mind for a minute after the Kakurenbo disappeared, standing there lost in thought. The seer would know what he was thinking as he calculated out the next step of his plot, thinking methodically of the events to come. As the soul journeyed farther away, he could feel the Kakurenbo reach the gates and find a carriage...clever girl, that adept.

Tall, towering trees pressed close together, their trunks viewed for miles in all directions with breaks in the form of meadows and streams. The patterned sight of dark brown, with a sky of wavering greens was the most beautiful home to Kyra, even with her changed viewpoint. Her golden eyes lifted to the sky. Though as a wolf she could not see the depth of green, the blue sky backed the gray-shaded waving leaves. As the wind picked up, she breathed deeply. Sure enough, the scent of her Lady Liliana was brought to her in a strong burst. She had always smelled like a combination of the elements; fresh and clean like water with earthy undertones, muted by wind and warmed by fire. However, two other scents were also traveling to the Cresting Woods.
The wind ruffled the werewolf's white fur, fluffing up her and making her look soft. Beside the white wolf, her dark gray companion stood to her right and slightly behind her. His shoulder height was just above hers, but it was clear who was alpha of the two-wolf pack. The white wolf breathed again before setting off towards the massively large tree at the center of the Cresting Woods. Bane followed her loyally. As they walked, Kyra memorized the strange scents. The first smelled of somewhere warm, of sand and dry heat. There were different dimensions of his smell, which confused the Knight and made her distrustful. She quickened her pace. The other small was more familiar; it was Elizabeth, a friend Kyra had met a few months ago in the very same area she was investigating now.
There was no doubt that at least one of them would sense or smell her coming, so the Ranger didn't bother keeping her silence. Her feet however were skilled enough to find the perfect spots on the forest floor, avoiding twigs and crunchy leaves with the instincts of her lupine side. Bane was just as precise in his movements, driven by the body language of his alpha. He knew when to stop, when to search, when to continue on all by Kyra's movements.
So as the two of them arrived at the tree, they paused together with synchronized steps. Kyra's ears swiveled back when she heard Liliana speak out loud, but did not interrupt. She sat on her rump and yawned, looking around with disinterest just at the entrance of the tree to wait. Though she wasn't watching with her eyes, her body was tense with wariness at the dark skinned man. Bane watched the two of them bluntly, ears pricked forward with interest, though he wasn't intelligent enough in human speech and politics to understand the situation.

Kinetav's eyes became glazed as he stared at Liliana, his mind registering her words and the sights before him yet focusing on the young soul in his vision. It moved much faster than he had anticipated, signalling to the Voidsworn that she had caught some form of transportation. Mental roads and maps began to form in his mind from various sources of internal information, plotting him a distance and estimated time of arrived for his target to reach the Wormwood Swamp. He had but a few hours to spare, and time was precious for all of them as the wind blew through his cloak, revealing a mix of silver and dark metal underneath. Clasping his cloak more tightly around him, Edge was the first to speak for the both of them as his voice carried on the winds,
"Yes, she might be dead indeed. What of this one called... Leifang? I remember reading a report about that one too -- yet another beautiful---"
A dark hand had shifted underneath the cloak to silence the Exodus directly with a finger as Kinetav's right eye began to glow red. The annoying weapon had almost shattered his concentration with the incessant drooling over those random women that he meets and his thoughts about past women as well. Indeed, his brother was in dire need of a straightening out, yet the Anima knew there was no remedy for either of his conditions. Both an apology and a hint of annoyance spilled from his lips as he spoke directly to both blade and ally, while he thought of the possibility of finally getting a foot into the Wormwood Swamp using that kakurenbo as a kind of bait...
"You always think every skinny girl cute. Keep it to yourself. Liliana, how are you so stone cold about one of your own in the dangers of the swamp? I'm not quite sure whether to be pleased or angry, yet either way it seems to present some fun scenario for myself. As for this skill, you have my attention. What is it that you plan to teach me today..."
A slightly malicious grin crept onto his face as he played with the connection between them, a momentary lapse of his usually neutral self turning into a playful, yet frigid joke, as he had seen the darkness creep into Liliana's aura

She was still looking off to the right, feigning disinterest. All the same, however, she was piecing together a story. Since Elizabeth's scent continued off, away from the two in the large tree's truck, she assumed she had been sent on a mission. From the way the dark-man spoke and the mention of the "swamp", she could only assume the issues in the Wormwood Swamp were still not resolved. However, when the dark man spoke, Kyra jerked her head towards him when she realized the first voice she had heard did not come from him. Her eyes narrowed even more, ears pinning back slightly with distrust.
As the Lady spoke, the wolf slowly stood up. Since she was asked a question, the wolf closed her eyes and something glowed on her chest. A moment later, the light engulfed her form until she was a shimmering lupine shape. Then, seconds later her form wavered and stretched and conformed into a human shape. Kyra the Knight stood before the two of them. A young-looking girl with white hair, matching the wolf she had been before. Calm, cool golden eyes watched Kinetav unblinkingly but she answered Liliana. "Yes, Lady Liliana." She straightened her posture until she was standing tall. On her back, her crossbow was slung across at a diagonal. On her lower back rests her quiver. However, not much else made her look intimidating. She was a petite size, with finger nails grown out to a long size and lupine ears and tail. Despite all her feral look, she regarded Kinetav with a neutral gaze; she wasn't trying to intimidate nor was she worried about what he'd do. She simply waited and watched.

A smirk of satisfaction spread across Kinetav's whole face as he heard Liliana's uncertainty, feeling the marked soul still wandering around the swamp in search for Arron. She was being quite the fast bait...a very handy trait for a bait to have. As the Voidsworn watched Liliana walk outside the tree, he grumbled inwardly as the seer spoke towards yet another hidden guest of theirs. His eyes narrowed nearby at a wolf with an unusually strong aura, only the transformation of the wolf revealing that it was in fact a werebeast. A thin genuine smile spread on Kinetav's face as he took in the familiar smell, reminding him of the people in the Devil's Eye Desert with a hint of actual wildlife growing around it as he stared at Kyra.
She appeared to be as intensely studying him as he was studying her, the two locking gazes for the longest time as she said nothing more. Her golden eyes read of neutrality, her stance that of simple curiosity instead of distrust. Understandably, the Anima thought to himself, seeing as how he had never met her before and his race tended to cause jaw-dropping or such effects. At last, the marked soul stopped in her tracks, he realized haphazardly, figuring she had reached the destination safely as her soul's link with the world was still fully intact. The next phrase was directed at Liliana then Kyra, the look of neutrality being returned as he spoke,
"I don't know, Liliana. To face a holy being in the swamp could be death if faced by one of us darker races. What's your opinion, Kyra?"

Watch yourself, Knight. You're starting to walk a thin line. I know you watch over her and can be to her in an instant. I do not fear for my student. Because she will be stronger when she returns, Liliana scolded Kinetav mentally, putting bite to her mental words. "Do you come seeking training with us, Kyra? I'm about to teach my friend Kinetav here an old spell of my own creation." Her vocal words held no anger. Just patient calm. Behind her, Shadow roared in laughter at watching Liliana juggle her thoughts.

Bane slipped in after her and padded around to sniff at the inside of the trunk, ears turned towards his Ranger. The werewolf listened to his words, her head tilting very slightly as she considered what he said. "I have no opinion, Knight," she replied to Kinetav neutrally, though her tone suggested that her statement had many different implied thoughts behind it. However, she didn't expect the Anima to understand her.
She turned to Liliana as she spoke, a small spark of curiosity finally showing in her eyes. "Spell?" the wolf spoke up, tapping a right-handed finger on her thigh. What was the Lady of Ernya doing teaching a stranger from another Nation a "spell of her own creation"? Kyra was very suspicious, both of her Lady and the Anima, but she didn't voice her concerns or show it in her expression. Bane, having circled around to the opposite side of the truck, crouched down and growled. His growl carried through the dark, damp area. The Ranger slowly turned, her body still facing the two as she gaze over her shoulder towards the newcomer.
Mom? The strange word strangled itself out of the strange girl's mouth. It was very confusing and didn't fit anything she understood in common language. "Mom" was definitely not a way to greet a group nor was it an introduction, though it was certainly a question. Seeing as Kyra didn't think anyone was a mother in the group--especially the Anima man--she narrowed her eyes and simply stared at Shura. Her body tensed, ready to charge forward but she held her ground, simply waiting for a shift in the target's body language; any hostile or untrustworthy move and the werewolf would be on the human in an instant.

Liliana's words seemed to have resounded on the werebeast Kyra, the woman finally showing some signs of intent other than staring at him and studying his movements.
The roar of the wolf behind him set the Anima on Edge as the werebeast looked over her shoulder towards a woman who called Liliana her mother.
