jewel just blinks tilting her head as she swaks slightly stayign behind sonic " he dissapeared?" jewel swallowed slightly changing to normal and tilts her head " I dunno if its safe to follow sonic.."

"I'll go in first." Sonic walked in and vanished. His hand then stuck out at Jewel and made the "come here" gesture.

jewle grunmbles slightly shaking her head grabing his wrist allowing sonic to gently pull jewle in as she apears on the other side with her eyes closed for a few seconds " why you make me follow along sonic.... "

"Why let you be alone and get bored by yourself?" Sonic then looked ahead. He gasped.
Shadow was standing too, also looking at awe.
The area was filled with dead, black flowers. Every step if they were walk on, would make them crunch. This used to be the entrance that the scriptures would say "a beautiful pathway to paradise".
Now the pathway is all dead.
Although in the middle, sits a huge rock mountain with a cave entrance.

jewle quickly gasps changing into a bird " ack! I don't wanna step on the ground.. somethings wrong with this place....." jewle flys up a little tiltings her head " hey there is a mountian or something up a head....."

"Tell me about it..." Sonic responded.
Shadow stared at the mountain, "Hmm... ugh.." He winced a bit.
"You feel it too?" Sonic looked at Shadow.
"Yes... it's coming from that mountain... Let's go." Shadow said and began running towards the mountain.

jewel swallows shouting at the two " w-wait is that such a good Idea..... ugh why do I get draged along..." jewle said outloud following from above ' this is somethign i didn't want.... seeing my ex again after only a year .....dind't expect to run into sonic either....' jewle thought sighing slightly

The hedgehogs arrived at the cave entrance. Sonic looked at Shadow, "After you."
Shadow walked in first. At first it is all dark but at the end is a bright light emitting from the other side.

"Me neither...." Sonic looked back at Jewel.
As they got to the other side, the cave inside the mountain looked exactly what paradise is supposed to be. Waterfalls falling while creating a rainbow on the bottom. Beautiful trees, flowers and plants everywhere..
But for some reason the water seemed to evaporate when they arrived at a watering hole, which is only a clear puddle of water.

jewel carefuly walks to the edge trying to sniff at it and trys to paw at it "... isn't water supose to stay in a lake... not evaporate this quickly..."

Sonic nodded, "The plants are still alive." He shrugged.
Shadow, looking like he is hurting a bit, responded, "Some thing is wrong here... I can feel a huge distur----bence...here." He placed his hand on his head.
"You alright, Shadow?" Sonic asked.
Shadow sat on his knees, "I'm... not feeling... so well..." He said, his eye half closed.
Sonic was becoming nervous, "Shadow!"

Sonic looked over, "Who's there?"
There was a man, completely cloaked, with a long reptilian tail following behind, "Don't be afraid. I'm the guardian of this place...but I'm of need of your help... so will your friend there..." He said, referring to Shadow.
