He glanced down at the water below him as he did a little paced at the edge. He was still debating if he really wanted to go through with jumping in the water. Glancing back up at Subira he noticed she was doing much better. The water didn't seem to bother her as much now. That was only confirmed when she told him that she was fine. He nodded and she reassured him that at first the water was cold but he would get use to it once he was in. After a few more moments of debating he decided to join her after testing the water one more time with his paw. His tail wagged with excitment as he nodded.

"Alright. I'm coming!"

He watched her ears go flat and dive under water. His eyes wint wide for a moment worried that she could be hurt or something could happen to her. With out thinking he quickly flattened his ears then backed up a few steps. Once he was far enough he took off at a run toward the edge. When he reached the edge he pushed off as hard as he could and sailed through the air. He landed with a splash in the water. He kinda just floated there for a moment before he floated to the surface and poked his head out of the water and took a look around.

Subira heard the splash as Hazumi suddenly entered the water, though sound was a bit muffled down here. She even kinda felt it, though that could be because Hazumi had landed close enough to her that the displacement wave had enough force to reach her and brush against her fur before dissipating.

She tried to whirl around in the water, but lacking grace she had to flail a bit before she could get properly turned around. By that time there were only a few bubbles left from the jump still floating to the surface, and Hazumi himself appeared to be heading that way. Subira grinned and paddled, her own buoyant body helping carry her back to the above world and the air which she was really starting to need just now.

Her head broke through the water and she gasped in the crisp air with relief, turning to look at Hazumi and smile. “Told ya! Bracing isn’t it,” she asked cheerfully.

Once he reached the surface he looked around for the cute little female he had come to see. For a few moments there was nothing, then he spotted two ears coming out of the water. Smiling he paddled his way toward her and was next to her when her head broke through the water. When she gasped he almost panicked, thinking that she was in some kind of trouble.

"Are you alright? Are you tired? Did you swallow water? You can lean on me if you want." Of course when she spoke all cheerful like it was then that he figured she was alright and he probably just made a fool of himself. "Oh..." He blushed as he smiled. "Yes... yes it is."

Subira giggled and splashed a little water at Hazumi. “I’m fine! I was just under the water a really long time and had run out of air. I was trying to get as much air in my lungs as possible as quick as possible!” She grinned at Hazumi and began to paddle around, trying to keep her muscles moving and warm in the chilly water. It was a good thing that by the time they got out the sun would be further up and have warmed the air more, because no matter how much they moved in the water they’d be cold and a little stiff by the time they got out!

Still, this was more than fun enough to make up for the chill!

With a sudden, impish smile Subira vanished back under the water. She swum around Hazumi, getting lower in the water until she was about level with his feet, then stretched out her neck and gave his leg a light nibble.

Hazumi closed his eyes as he was hit in the face with water. "Heeeey." He smiled with a chuckle. Before doing anything else, he gave his head a light shake. He just wanted to remove the excess water from his fur, before it ran into his eyes. "I'm glad." He was glad to see she was alright. Maybe he worried too much but he couldn't help it. Chuckling, he watched her swim around him. "What are you doing?"
When she vanished under the water again, he looked around to see if he could spot her. He couldn't. The water seemed to bee too deep where they were to make her out. He continued to search for her though, wondering where she could have gone. The next thing he knew, something was nibbling on his foot. He let out a little squeak of surprised and quickly moved away.
"Subiraaaa... please tell me that was you." it was said in a bit of a high pitched and nervous tone.

Since Subira was under the water she couldn’t tell what Hazumi said, only that he spoke. Still feeling a bit like an imp of mischief, she gave Hazumi another circle and this time gave his tail a light tug. Feeling like she’d probably tormented him enough since he didn’t seem to be nearly as comfortable in the water as she did (plus she was running out of air!), Subira surfaced a few feet away from Hazumi, giggling.

“It’s a shame I’m too slow under the water to catch anything aside from the big purple fuzz fish-,” she teased, eyes sparkling, “-otherwise I could probably catch us a good meal. There’s lots of fish just swimming around in here with us!” And indeed there were. Even as she spoke Subira could see a few swimming in a school near the foxes, probably eyeing the strangers in their home with curiosity.
