Ru'yah nodded again. "Alright." Now with her paw the way it was though, she wasn't too sure how well she'd be able to hunt. Ah, another benefit to having Jaryx as a travel buddy.

Jaryx gave her a look and turned back with a sigh. He set his nose to the ground and started to attempt to pick up whatever scent he could to see if there was anything nearby to eat. He picked up the scent of something small, possibly a hare, and decided to test something out. He turned back to Ru'yah and motioned in the direction of what he had picked up. "There's something small over there," he whispered, "Do you think you could try to get it?"

Ru'yah lowered herself to the ground in attempts to stalk her prey. However, she was quite slow in her afforts as to avoid feeling pain run through her legs. After she had managed to lower herself properly she began crawling through the grass. Again, very slow, and she certainly did a good job of making it look painful. Maybe she broke a bone? Nah, it'd hurt more if she did. Maybe she just sprained it, really, really badly.

Jaryx watched her closely, looking for any signs of any injuries she hadn't told him about. She was favoring that paw a lot and the lower she crouched down and moved, the more it looked like it hurt. It hadn't felt broken nor did it look broken. She must have twisted it during her swimming lesson or sprained it during that time.

It had to be a sprain. If it was really broken she wouldn't be able to move, but since she could move Ru'yah decided it was just twisted a little. At least it'd go away if she was right. She crawled... Er, limped foward in the grass, catching wiff of the scent Jaryx was talking about. Hare's were typically fast, but if Ru'yah was sneaky enough all she'd have to do is pounce.

Yeah, definitely looked like a sprain to him. He wondered how long it would take for it to heal, then wondered if the lioness would be willing to give it the time it would need to heal. She got very bored, very quickly; would she be able to rest for the time that she needed? He followed her slowly, hoping that the wind wouldn't blow and give away his position as he got closer to her.

The lioness moved foward again, progressing closer to the hare that she could now spot in front of her. It rose it's ears and stared in the direction that Ru'yah was in, causing her to stop. When the hare relaxed, Ru'yah got ready to pounce, which was the hardest thing for her yet. She ended up placing her feet on the ground akwardly, which didn't help the situation at all...

She was going to end up scaring the hare off. Not that it mattered too much; they rarely made for a decent meal, just barely made a snack most of the time. He questioned whether he should call her back or not; the pounce already looked like it was going to be horrifically painful. "Ru," he called softly.

The hare rose back up just as Ru'yah rose her own head and stared at Jaryx. The lioness was tempted to speak, however refrained for then she might startle the already startled hare. And Ru'yah really, really didn't want to go chasing after it.

"Come on back," he called to her, "You need to rest that paw." He had a very bad feeling that if he hadn't called her back, she would have hurt herself even more than she already had. "I'll catch us a meal later on."

Ru'yah didn't hesitate to come half-limping back to the cheetah. If she had pounced, oh the agony. But since she didn't have too now, Ru'yah didn't bother stalling and simply just went right back to her friend.

"We'll stay here for a little while," Jaryx replied when she was close enough. "You don't need to be traveling and I wouldn't feel right leaving you along with your paw like that." He had been looking forward to exploring but it could wait until his companion was healed.

"Alright..." Ru'yah replied. Resting was probabley best anyways. She began to wonder if she could even roll around on her back like this? Probabley not... That'd be no fun. Ah, but, she could sleep. Yep, as long as she could sleep she'd probabley be fine. That is, until she got bored again...

CaliWolfe I think that's a decent spot to end it. Do you?
