"Who's that?"

Phew! At lease he wasn't angry at what she had perceived as a slight. She always tried to be happy and friendly with everyone she met, even with those who obviously didn't like her. It was just the way she was!

Mm hm, so yeah.

"Do you have any tips for me, co-captain? I mean, besides the obvious one about recognizing signatures that I already knew about?" Trryyyiiiing to stop getting so flustered. Aghaghag, this was so hard.

"Lesath," Remarque explained, obviously fond smile hanging from his lips, "Is my girlfriend. And she's got quite a mouth on her. I suspect she'd treat you kindly. She's got a good heart in her, but that mouth…"

Was absolutely perfect.

"As for tips," he shrugged. "I suppose that depends on how you're holding up. Don't wander anywhere you're unfamiliar with unless you know you can take care of yourself. Watch out for dark alleys unless you're not afraid of knives and guns. Don't let anyone get close to your wraith—you don't want to risk hurting them. Senshi like to hide in trees, so stay alert. If you don't know how to fight, try to get some tips from someone. It'll end up saving your life. Enroll in a class at the gym or something, if you have to. Or give Leto or I call. Don't know what her forte is, but if you like slugging people, I can teach you how to throw a damn fine punch. I think that should cover the basics you ought to know. Though, one last tip—if you see a guy named Chaonis, don't bother sticking around. You get out of there as fast as you can and make sure to give me a call. I have business with him."

Oh, girlfriend. Meeeeeh.

But her disappointment was very short-lived, as per the usual. A wicked smile graced her lips as Remarque continued yacking on about his tips. Oh, the ships she could make with her co-captain~

"Okay, check, check. Got it." She nodded woodenly, pretending to pay attention while the gears were up and running.

Wait, Chaonis.. What.

"Who's Chaonis? What sort of business do you have with him?"

Clearly her hobbies were more important than following up on learning how to punch somebody.

Remarque gave no indication that he had noticed she wasn’t pay attention (on the contrary, since she'd asked for tips, he assumed she was taking them to heart). He merely tilted his head when she asked about Chaonis and then shrugged. "I have a**-kicking business with him. He hurt her—Lesath? Broke her wrist. Even if I wasn't dating her, I'd be after him. Anyone who hurts any member of this Court is someone I ought to have business with. Chaonis is an eternal senshi. He doesn't seem to have any qualms about hurting anyone, regardless of power or gender. Even if you aren't up to no good, he'll find an excuse. So stay away from him, if you can help it, and let me deal with him."

Cool points + 100.

Remarque had the right idea. She would do the same, if she were able to kick butt and take names like he could. Her eyes gazed up into his in pure awe. SO COOL.

Of course, it also meant that Chaonis and Remarque made it onto her shipping list, but she wouldn't make mention of that little tidbit, tee hee~
It also made her want to meet Chaonis, at least in VERY BRIEF passing. But again, she wasn't about to announce that to her co-captain. He might not want to hear that.

"I'll keep that in mind." Nod nod. "When can I meet Lesath?" She had to meet everybody. Immediately.

"Lesath," he said thoughtfully, clucking his tongue. "I'll put in a word with her, see when she's available. She'll be eager to met you, I'm sure."

She could probably use some more girl friends in the Dark Mirror Court; it relieved him to think that he could kill two birds with one stone: keep Lesath safer with a little extra backup, keep Aurora safe with a little extra protection. Plus, he had never forgotten the speech they'd been given right after the Surrounding—all that talk of family.

He didn't know what circumstances Aurora's corruption had occurred in, but he knew that now that she was a Dark Mirror Senshi, she was one of them. It was their duty to take care of each other, and while she didn't seem to be having a hard time adjusting, that extra little support group was probably for the best. For the girls, at least.

"Though if you get too close, she'll probably won't just want to take you under her wing. You'll have to deal with all those girly things. Shopping, slumber parties, girls' night or something." Whatever girls did, anyway.

That was probably the best thing that Remarque had said in the history of saying things. The way Aurora's eyes lit up when he mentioned shopping, slumber parties, et al, only meant that it would be PURE HEAVEN from here on out. Sadly, Aurora didn't have many gal friends. And those things sprouted from his angelic cool mouth were all new and fanciful and only rumors that the girl had heard about.

OMIGOSH SLUMBER PARTIES.

Aurora didn't appear to be containing any emotion any longer. The senshi leaned forward, as if she could better catch the boy's every word. It was imperative that he TELL HER MORE.

Apparently Aurora didn't hold the same disinterest for 'girl things' that Remarque did, and her interest in such was almost painfully obvious. "I'll…get you her number, if you like." Though, that might have been a little difficult, given the fact that he didn't care scrap pieces of paper or any writing utensils on him. "Or—if it might be easier, give me your number, I'll have her give you a ring and figure something out."

He was fairly good with numbers, so remembering a phone number wasn't really something too difficult for him. "Either that, or I'll tell her to meet you out here one night—whatever's best for you."

Poor, poor Remarque. He had to endure such hardships of the fairer gender.

"I mean, I don't really have many friends so I really want to meet her-- I mean, I want to meet her ANYWAY but oh YOU KNOW." There was no filter for Aurora tonight. Especially now that she was extremely, horribly, utterly excited. "Oh, oh right, it's," and she blabbed out the number for him. "So yeah!"

Eeeee, slumber parties.

Numbers, Remarque could handle. He repeated the digits in his head until he was confident that he had a decent grasp on them and then nodded. "All right. I'll have her give you a call in no time."

Hopefully Lesath and Aurora could work together to burn off some of that energy. He flashed what he considered to be a charming smile, figuring if he was going to take a girl's number, he was going to look good doing it.

…And make sure that he remember it, of course.

"You going to be all right out here on your own for a while?" he prompted, figuring they'd had a decent amount of chit-chat time; naturally, he didn't mind spending time with any member of the court, but he wanted to make sure he scribbled down her number before he forgot it.

Too much excitement could be hazardous to one's health. Remarque's charming smile just added fuel to the excite-fire. So when he asked if she would be okay on her own, Aurora just nodded EXTRA enthusiastically.

"I should be fine here all by myself, co-cap'n!" And to somehow prove that, she gave him some silly salute with her index and middle fingers to her temple. "I'll call on you if I need any help, but I'm pretty sure I'll be a-okay!" She had had very little difficulty so far!

Aurora was far too optimistic for her own good....

"That's the spirit," Remarque said, obviously pleased with her performance. It might have been a little campy, but he was certain she'd had good intentions. "Then I'm going to head down and finish up some business for the night. I'll see you around, Aurora. Be nice to my girl, she's had it a little rough recently. I'm sure you're just the sort of person to cheer her up. Have a good evening," he said, offering a brief wave before he turned.

Aurora certainly didn't seem like a bad girl, and certainly her enthusiasm would work in her favor—provided someone didn't take advantage of her naivety first.

Awesome! We can call this fin. heart

"I'll definitely take care of her! See you soon!" Aurora called out after him, waving more than just a brief wave.

Oooomiiiigoooosh this was so exciting. She'd just left a good impression on her co-captain AND she could meet his girlfriend who needed a good cheering up. Also, SLUMBER PARTIES. YYYEEEEES.

Aurora was definitely glowing as she turned back to her work. Visions of girlie things and happy Ares and Leto danced about her head. She'd not let anyone down. ANYONE.
