The fact that the chimera had apparently given them the slip was not helping Romero’s mood at all. But even if he was seeing red and ready to go, the Venezuelan soldier was not foolish enough to fight blind. As it turned out, he did not have far to move, as another roar shook the cave, this time followed by a very angry chimera.
The behemoth was ugly beyond belief. It leaped in from above their heads at such a high velocity that it whipped up a gust of wind that blew everyone backwards a step, barring the way out before wheeling around to glare down at the four with three pairs of evilly glowing eyes. It was as tall as Romero at the shoulder and as wide as Luis, and as Romero ran forward to position himself toward the front of the party again, it roared again and pawed menacingly at the ground with its massive paws. While the goat lowered its head as if to charge, the chimera’s obscenely thick, serpentine tail lifted itself up to hiss at them, sounding very much like a Leviathan might.
While Luis fled and cowered where he was, holding his gigantic claymore with such an unsteady grip that he might almost cut Elpis instead of their target, Romero was tempted to rush forward and gore the thing between its eyes. But bloodthirsty as he was, he still knew such a move was folly if he did not have any backup. Somewhat reluctantly, he held back, moving forward until he was standing a few steps in front of Luis and Elpis, well out of range of his brother’s gigantic blade. He glanced back at them. “Well?” he asked almost impatiently, jerking his head towards the massive beast now barring their way.
When neither of them reacted, Romero hissed, a feral light dancing in his eyes. If he stood here waiting for his pansy of a brother to attack, they would all be dead! The Venezuelan suddenly leaped forward, as if to strike at the chimera’s head. When the lion’s head shipped around to him to bite his weapon hand off, Romero tucked and rolled under its snapping jaws, uncoiling just in time to stab it approximately in the jugular. But his saber missed, and he felt the tip of it glance off of an impossibly thick bone, spurting blood all over the place. Since he had missed the chimera’s jugular, the blow did not fell it, but the chimera roared in pain and jerked its head back, hoping to fling Romero out of its neck with the sharp motion.
The Venezuelan had expected something like this to happen, and he had let go of the blade moments before. Bolivar’s saber rocketed out of its neck on a spray of blood and clattered to the ground some distance away, and he rolled away from the frenzied beast and quickly stood to run after his fallen blade while Alabama took aim at its skull.

 Chimera The mighty beast let out an incredibly loud roar. The more the humans attacked, the more angry it got. It was bleeding from all the slashed and shots its body took, which wasn't enough to slow it down. It's eyes turned to the girl it tried to kill last night. The person who was with her didn't scare it at all. It could smell its fear. With a mighty whip from its serpentine tail, it moved the tall human out of the way with such force, slamming him to the cave wall. ((By far the most ugliest chimera pic I ever found XP lolz but it'll do. Leave the enemy role to me))

I can't just sit here and do nothing." Just then, he noticed the monster turning towards them. No doubt he wanted to finish the job with the girl. He stood in her way and drew out his blade "I won't let you to-" Befoe he could finish, the chimera whipped him away with its tail. He hit the wall "Ow!" No broken bones, but he was in pain "Guys! Meanwhile, Romero had retrieved his blade after much groping about in the dark, and now he came charging back to engage the chimera once more. The great beast was currently batting Luis away with a contemptuous ease, not even watching as Argentina slammed against the cave wall and slid down slowly, not moving for many long moments before staggering agonizingly to his feet. Instead, the chimera turned toward Johnny, who was surely annoying it with his rapid but ineffectual shots against its skull. It roared, more in anger and defiance at their pitiful efforts to strike it down than in real pain, and lumbered with surprising agility at the Alabamian, lifting its great paw in preparation to crush him as he backed up too slowly.
Romero charged straight at the state, bowling him out of the way just as the chimera’s claws punched into the hard stone floor with enough force to cause it to roar again in shock and lift it stupidly as if to shake out its stinging forelimb. Venezuela took this time to shout a directive to everyone in the cave. “Oye!” he yelled, picking himself off of Alabama. “Don’t aim for its skull! Aim for the softs! The eyes!”
The beast was moving too quickly for him to waste time explaining what he meant by 'softs'. To punctuate his point, Romero turned and ran straight at the chimera’s other forelimb and jumped as high as he could, plunging his saber down in a long and deadly arc. Bolivar’s blade sank into a space roughly one meter above the ground between the beast’s ulna and radius, and stuck, and the old campaigner clung grimly to its hilt as the chimera roared in real pain and hastily brought its numbed paw down again to lift the other one and shake it in an attempt to dislodge him.

~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" The state narrowly avoided a brush with death when Romero pushed him out of the way.The state muttered a small thanks, and immediately scrambled to recover,
Johnny quickly got back to his feet, and picked his shotgun back up.He cocked it once more, took aim for the monster's eyes, and shot it right in the whites. Southern Sass To The King's English

He jumped onto the beast's back and started hitting the goat's head with the hilt of his sword. He gripped tightly to the creature's fur so he wouldn't fall off "Leave my friends alone! You big ugly bully!"{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: normally, you're supposed to chop off its heads in order to stop it, or else it'd go berserk. snake heads are supposed to be the first to go if you want to avoid being poisoned)Argentine Republic

Chimera The creature roared in pain when the humans attacked. It wasn't enough to make it fall, it's rage seemed to give it strength. When one of them was on his back, he tried to shake him off. Each head having a mind of its own, the serpent's head hissed and aimed it's venomous fangs and the gun user.

Romero, meanwhile, had stabbed his tedious way up the chimera’s forelimb, halting periodically to resist its vigorous attempts to fling him off, and at last made his way up to Luis on its back. “Are you only trying to stun it?” he hollered over to Luis. Without waiting for an answer, Romero lunged and sank his blade into the base of the goat’s neck—which was blasphemously mounted somewhere in front of the chimera’s scapula—up to the hilt and heaved on it, attempting to carve it around in a circle to decapitate it.
A bone-chilling hiss from the serpentine tail gave Venezuela reason to pause. He glanced from it to Alabama and realized that it was preparing to corrode him into reeking vapor. “Johnny! Arriba!” he shouted, hoping to catch the state’s attention before it was too late.

The hilt is the handle and if you hit with that, you may as well be punching the goat head. || I love how the chimera randomly forgot about Romero's sword in its forelimb. || This and my own memory guides anything I write about the chimera.

If I keep hitting it, it won't use magic!" He gasped when Romero stabbed the goat's head "Wait! You'll make it go berserk!" he winced when it shrieked again and it started to jump around in order to remove him from his back "Get the snake head! So we won't have to worry about it's poisonous fangs!" Reading all those books might help them win this battle "Ay mami!" he held on for dear life as it went crazy.{ Translations:} (Out of Buenos Aires: *facepalm* I knew I was missing something =w= I forgot to add he climbed his back. It's not easy to slash with a huge heavy blade when you're hanging for dear life with your free hand, so hitting it with brute force can work)Argentine Republic

Try to scream but nobody cares ♫☽Elpis She witnessed the beast getting slashed and shot at. So far, it looks like they might have a chance of winning, but she fears the worst won't be over after this. Her powers were still in a weakened state, but she could do a few things. She was able to summon up a ball of light and sent the a chimera a big flash, in hopes of blinding or stunning it. {Out of Faith: slow down, you're not giving her a chance ;w; she has very limited power at the moment, so there are only a few things she can do} ♫ Through the glass you see the same faces
Hear the voices fade like a drone

~The Yellow Hammer State~ "Johnny Kane" Johnny immediately took evasive maneuver when he heard Romero. He rolled to the side, took aim when he landed back on his feet, and gave to shots to the snake. He immediately retreated afterwards to a safe distance of ten yards, before taking aim once more. He then noticed the ball of light.He everted his eyes and withdrew a few more paces. Chimera The snake head backed off when shot. It was down to using three legs since the was a sword stuck on one of them. Suddenly, a flash of light seemed to surprise it. It stopped it briefly, the light seemed to blind it a few seconds.
