Shama's ears twitched. 'Party?' She looked up to see what the night would entail. One, two, three... and no more. How are you supposed to have a party when only three more people show up?

Oh well. Even a small 'party' would have the food she was in desperate need of. The service here seemed lax.

She looked at the boy as he sat next to her. This might not be so bad after all. Something seemed off about him though. A zombie?? And acting like a normal person??? She might end up enjoying her time in this world. It certainly offered new things to experience.

"Well this could be just the pick-me-up I've been looking for. But, um, where's everyone else? Or is this just the prep crew?"

Shiro nodded as Chewy responded with his trademark smile. She waved for him to follow her around as she carefully and deliberately showed him the process she went through to make a standard Beef and Swiss sandwich. She armed herself with a portion of thin sliced raw meat, since she was making the undead version, pre-sliced cheese and some sides. The meat and cheese was precisely arranged on the bread and heated in the microwave for a short time. The heat was just to bring the meat closer to room temperature and to melt the cheese a bit. When that was done she placed it on a red plate and set the sides next to the sandwich before presenting it to Chewy. She really didn't see why people were so impressed with her cooking, especially when it was something so simple.

When the door chimed she left the sandwich with Chewy and went to see who had come in. The person was not immediately apparent, but as Shiro leaned a little to the right she saw the woman who had ensconced herself at one of the tables in the dining room. She seemed new to the cafe since she didn't so much as glance at the front counter where the display case and menu were. There was a strange aura to the woman. It wasn't immediately good or evil, just chaotic. Shiro decided to let the situation lie for now, particularly when Jules burst in followed by Read and a struggling human not long after. She knew Read only by reputation, but Matt was a very descriptive storyteller.

The human male seemed to be radiating tension from head to toe, but that could just be because he was being carried bridal style into the Grimoire. Unusual entrances were by no means frowned upon, but the young man so obviously wanted to be on he own two feet. The scene was rather amusing, to be honest, but Shiro decided she best take pity on the struggling human. She walked up to Read and stared up at the six and a half foot tall zombie from her mere 3'4". "Welcome to the Grimoire Cafe, please put our customer down." she spoke with a small smirk on her face to let Read know he wasn't in major trouble, but she still wanted his cooperation on the matter.

Jules had to laugh when the girl seemed to gain a bit more life in her. Which he thought was funny, until he realized that she was actually a human. He hadn't noticed it right away, but now that he was sitting next to her he could tell. So now he thought this day would be even better then it had been. Wait until Patty met this little flower!

Jules shook his head. "Nah, don't be silly. We've got..." he paused and began counting on his fingers. "...seven to eight people showing up. And probably more knowing that Party Patty is outside glomping poor unexpected victims to be dragged here." He burst into laughter once more and then heard the door and the complaints. "There's two of 'em now!"

Inspiringly cool and so very much fun.

That's how Patty would have described Kuro to anyone who didn't know him. He was hotter then hell, and not only because he was an asian cosplayer who looked like he stepped out of BEAST or SHINee! He had that mysterious feel, but was all smiles and bishounen hair flips. Patty would have had a crush on him, if well...she wasn't her. No offense to the hottie, but Patty wasn't into his type.

He reminded her of the cafe and she nodded rapidly. "Yes! Yes! Yes! Party at the cafe! You're coming, aren't you Kuro-kun?" She pleaded with her best shojou sparkle eyes. She held his hand and looked up at him. In her lolita outfit and her cute little stare it would have worked on anyone. Well unless they minded the fact she had no skin on a fourth of her face and her eye was only held in the socket by rotting muscles and nerves.

Party? Patty had said the best word ever. Well one of the best words. The only ones better, were Shiro, Nee_sama, Kawaii, and any word his darling sister said. Yes, that sounded about right. However as far as anyone else was concerned, unles they were talking about his nee_sama, then party was the best word you could say.

Kuro didn't even have to think about it. Especially when Patty pulled that big eyed cute look. That was just icing on the cake. With that he nodded his head and picked the zombie girl up once more. "Of course!" He hugged her and then just poof! They appeared in the cafe sitting area. He grinned as he put Patty with her feet on the floor. He then dashed off before anyone could stop him. He almost went into the kitchen, but saw his target near the entrance.

"Neeeeee_sama!!!" He called with pure excitement. Dashing over and picking her up in his arms he seemed blind to the two men in front of him at first. "I'm sorry I'm late, but I ran into Patricia on the way." He explained as he hugged his dearest nee-san.

Shama took a moment to wonder how she should handle this situation. She inwardly chuckled at herself. How else? She would...

Wait a minute. She was just trying to think about something. It was important. But, if it was that important she should be able to remember what it was. That meant it must not be important after all. Then why was it bugging her so much? It must be the voices again! But this felt different. The dragon! That guy must have been haunting her ever since she helped blow him up. That's it. He must be the reason she...

Holy crap! A zombie!!

Oh, right. This was the guy talking about a party. Now, how should she handle this situation. She inwardly chuckled at herself. How else? She would handle it like she did everything else.

"How bout you get me some food and we can talk about what kind of party this is going to be," she said as she rested her chin in her palm, giving him one of her looks that drove men, and women, crazy.

If nothing else she would need a place to sleep tonight, assuming she slept at all of course. And she wasn't sure if this world would take the money she had.

Simplistic. That was the best way to describe the sandwich. However it was Chewy's favorite and he even though it was easy to make. Sometimes things just tasted better when Shiro made them. Maybe it was the thought of it or just the experience. Either way the sandwich looked great. He didn't get a chance to thank her right away, because the door opened. So he had the idea of finishing his sandwich and clocking in early.

He only confirmed his plan when he heard Jules bust into the cafe. He had seen Jules here once before, the zombie had come in for a mana potion. Which that alone had given Chewy the basic idea. He refused to scarph down the sandwich, but he ate it quickly. Food really was a great thing.

Clocking in he took over the counter and looked around. There was Kuro, and Jules was in the dining area, then there were two other's at the entrance with Shiro. Oh and a very bright and excited young woman zombie also in the dining room. Good now he had a head count.

Sometimes I feel I've got to Run away
I've got to Get away
From the pain that you drive in the heart of me
The love we share
Seems to go nowhere
I've lost my lights
I toss and turn I can't sleep at night.

Now I know I've got to Run away
I've got to Get away
You don't really want any more from me
To make things right
You need someone to hold you tight
You think love is to pray
But I'm sorry I don't pray that way

A little girl walked up and ordered Read to put him down. Flaonne was still shivering but he was a little surprised at the girl. She worked here? But she looked like she was about twelve years old. Then again...she had this really creepy feel to her and even looked a little creepy. Flaonne suddenly felt very uneasy. He still wanted Read to put him down, but he suddenly didn't want to run away from the annoying man. At least he knew what the zombie was. Everyone else around here, they could be ghosts, zombies, humans, and the only way he'd know is asking or if they were obviously zombies. Like Read and Patty.

Read was a little weary but he did loosen his grip. Enough that Flaonne could wiggle loose and place his feet on the ground before stepping away from the grab zone. He smiled at Shiro and bowed his head a little nervously. "Th-thanks. S-sorry t-t-t..." He coughed and cleared his throat before shaking his head. "Sorry to cause trouble!" He said almost too quickly and tried to give a brighter smile. The fact that he was still shaking in fear and fidgeting with his hands like crazy gave away too much.

Flaonne was still terrified of being off the school property. He really didn't want to get eaten, or possessed. Not that he thought his friends would let that happen, but there was still a chance of it happen. The very thought of his brain getting eaten made his skin drain of color as he seemed to freeze in place for a moment.

When a pretty young woman was willing to party with you, there was never a reason to turn down a simple request. Jules had no issue buying the lady food. The pretty little black lily wasn't asking for a lobster dinner, just some food from the cafe. That was no big deal at all. So Jules lit up like she had just asked him for a date and nodded his head. "You got it sugar lips. I'll get'cha something and then we can get everyone else together here." With that he gave a playful bow and then dashed off.

Jules dillerberately went past Read to mouth the words, "she's mine" and thrust his thumb towards the dinning room. Getting to the counter he noticed Chewy in the back. Jules knocked on the counter and waved to the undead boy. "Oiy zombie boy, I need some food for me and a lady~" He requested and leaned on the counter waiting for the attention he so felt he deserved.

His chest hurt, his legs hurt, hell everything hurt. Then again that was only to be expected after being run over by a truck. Then again he had also had to dig his way out of six feet of dirt and beat open a metal coffin. His lower jaw was completely missing and so were his eyes. Yet he could find his way around well enough. There was a soft rattling of metal with every step. The dog tags around his neck clicking together. A day. He'd been on the surface a day.

Already he'd been fed, cleaned up, and taken in. Well in a sense. He lived with a woman who owned a clothing store for the undead. Her fabrics were sturdy and held oils that helped to perserve the flesh. Monster's mask was made out of this fabric to perserve what was left of his face.

Monster. That was his name. The only name he knew and it seemed to suit him well enough. Most of the other undead even looked at him wearily. He seemed to radiate an uneasiness to all around him. Then again his first meal had not been fresh meat, but another undead. He'd devoured another zombie and it had worked. It had given him the nutrition he needed. Ailia was the one who found him after wards. She told him not to worry, but he couldn't help it. Even though she had been nothing but kind to him. Monster worried a little bit.

Ailia had sent him on an errand today. She wanted him to pick up her order from the cafe. Ailia often times had dinner parties at her house for all the undead. She always ordered a large amount of food from the Grimoire Cafe. She said she liked to support their business. This was his first time going there, but she had warned them that he was coming. She'd even told them not to freak out when he rasped at them in attempts to form words.

As soon as he opened the door he ran into a wall of a man. He was nearly two feet taller then Monster and made of nothing but muscle. Monster looked up at the freakish man and let out a hissing sound barely audible. He tapped the arm as well and waited for a response. He was just trying to say excuse me, but it came out sounding hostile and upset.

With the wind you go,
Still I dream of your spirit leading you back home.
I will give my gifts to you,
Grow your garden, watch it bloom.

Night time was carefully lowering itself onto the sky. Darkening the clouds and putting the sun to it's well deserved journey beyond the horizon. As soon as the lamp lights came on more of the undead came out. Ghost especially seemed to almost triple in numbers as the sun went away. Meanwhile the zombies just seemed less weary of walking around as much. Though a few of the more indiscreet zombies came out and wandered around freely.

Under a lamp light near the Grimoire cafe there was a flicker of white and green smoke. Then the unmistakable scent of sakura blossoms. The smoke swirled slowly and then slowly fluttered closer to the cafe. It went around to the back and slithered under the door before forming just outside of the kitchen. It started with the form of a small tree and then swiftly transformed into a young woman. Her hair was bright green and white while her eyes were a striking red. She glanced around and the scent of flowers followed her as she walked into the kitchen.

Chii didn't work here, but she often visited. She knew Linda well, after all she had been attached to one the tree in the neighborhood. It had been cut down about the same time that the cafe had been built. She'd quickly adapted to the store and taken a great liking in it. Especially to the human's who ran it and the young man Matt who worked in the cafe. She liked to haunt the kitchen mostly and would rarely wander out into the lounge area.

Today there were a few rowdy people in the cafe. Shiro was currently dealing with two young men and Chewy was being called by another. Chii silently wandered the kitchen just out of sight for now. Knowing that Shiro and Kuro would sense her presence as she entered their barrier. She meant no harm to anyone and thus was free to enter as she pleased. Chii took up a spot by the blenders and began juggling fresh berries in a large circle using her powers that she possessed to have them twirling without her touching them.

As the human got squirmed out of Read's hands he seemed to be even more tense then when he was being held. His attempts to stutter out an apology made it even more obvious he was nervous. She had no want to invade his privacy but it did make her wonder. Did no one tell him the Cafe had rules in place to protect all of its patrons? Rules that were reinforced by the ward that she and Kuro maintained.

Speak of the baka and he shall appear. From her peripheral she saw the black hair just before it careened into her with a huge hug. She smiled and pat his hair. "Hello to you to, baka." She was glad Kuro was back. They were starting to hit one of the peak times and she knew he would be glad to help. He seemed to have been with Matt while he was out because he was dressed up like some sort of butler. She was about to ask about it when the door chimed again and a new presence walked in.

Linda had told her that Ailia was sending someone else to pick up her catering order, so she was at least somewhat prepared for the aura that had entered. Unfortunately, she was stuck between Kuro, Read and his skiddish human companion, and the new arrival who seemed to be trying to get by the tall zombie. How did she get herself into these situations? Kuro was the social one, he should be the one dealing with customers. The thought gave her an idea of how to solve the predicament. "Baka-chan, will you help set up a table for Read and his friends?" she asked. She also sent him her impression that the human had not been told about the safety regulations with a silent ::Be gentle::. If the human hung out with Read with any regularity, then Kuro's exuberance would be easier to deal with. That would leave her free to deal with the catering order and whatever the gaggle of undead friends wanted to have.

She shifted to the side so the one behind Read could see here. He was likely a zombie from his looks, wrapped up in fabric as he was. She made a polite nod to him and spouted of her generic greeting. "Welcome to the Grimoire Cafe. How may I help you?" She had a feeling he was the one Ailia had sent. It was right around the pick up time but it was best not to assume. She sensed Chii cross into the cafe, but it wasn't unusual for the other spirit to wander in and out so Shiro just briefly acknowledged the presence then let it go. With such a vibrant beginning to what Matt called the Sunset Rush, Shiro was sure it would be a long night.

Read was approached by a very small girl and she spoke to him rather comandingly. He smiled lightly and loosened his grip on Flaonne. The human wasted no time in furiously slithering out of his grip. Read pouted a bit but looked back at the little girl. He grinned and it struck him. "You must be Shii..." right as he was saying this a black haired cutie of a boy came running in and Jules had gone past them mouthing something. So many hotties, not enough arms or time. Read was gonna get whiplash in this cafe.

He noticed his little fresh human was shivering again. Poor thing was gonna die super young if he didn't chill out. Read just lightly wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Chill chipmunk. This cafe is safe like the school." He reassured him. Just as he was about to continue he was tapped on the arm. The strangest noise came from behind him. He turned to look over his shoulder and was fas to move Flaonne in front of him and cover his eyes. Knowing if he saw the...interesting young man he'd have a heart attack. "Oh scuzzi~" He almost sang and quickly moved himself and Flaonne out of the way.

They were getting given off to the black haired ball of energy. Read was okay with this. So he grinned and nodded. "Lead the way buddy."

Chewy was called out to the counter by a rambunctious zombie. He snickered a bit at the way he was summoned. "Right away, what can I get you?" He asked as he left his sandwich in the kitchen. He'd snack on it later. He noticed Shiro and Kuro were getting the rest of things handled, so he figured it would be okay to deal with things right now. He recognized a few of the patrons, but most of them were new. Including the dark figure that was standing behind the group oddly. Chewy felt a little uneasy about that one. However he focussed back on the blond zombie in front of him.

Finally he got the attention of the worker. Smiling brightly at the young man he tilted his head and got a better look at the other zombie. He was kinda cute. More in a puppy dog way. Then again Jules thought he might have seen him somewhere. "Oh right. A Chaos, large with a chocolate scone and a soup and sandwich combo. Ham and cheese with beef veggie soup. Then an undead style Trickery, undead sandwhich with extra cheese." he ordered and then watched as the boy typed it in.

Paying for it he looked the kid over once more. "hey, do you take courses at UH? I swear I've seen you before." Jules wasn't flirting for once, he was pretty serious. He couldn't remember where he'd seen...Chewy(as the name tag said) before but knew he had.
