I was born in Essex but moved to Devon when I was four...and she's still slightly too high class.

evabh How about Holly or Kochanski? I know Cat is American, and isn't Kryten supposed to be Canadian? That's kind of a funny idea where I live, because Windsor is right across the river from Detroit, and I don't hear any difference between the way we talk and the way they talk. In Newfoundland the people sound almost Irish, which is very charming to listen to. Any idea what area of Canada Kryten's accent hails from? You probably don't notice the difference because, from what I've noticed, Americans living near the Canadian border pretty much speak like Canadians. Further south, you start getting into the more distinctively "American" accents. Hehe, I have a northern California accent. I hella say 'dude' and 'hella' all the time. It's true wink It'd probably be obvious to everybody the instant I opened my mouth, that's how strong it is.

We say dude a lot here in Michigan, too. Only heard hella on a South Park episode (the Star Trek take off where they meet their counterparts from an evil dimension).

Some we just have to wonder why people have to talk like that.
