Lance shook his head. "Bored of science or of my own personal problems? This..." He trailed off, looking down at the tube. He shook himself, twisting the tube back together. "This is a containment tube. Twist the cap on his end to remove it. Reach in, pull one out, give it to... Hang on."

The assistant pulled open his laptop, tabbing away from a camera feed to pull up a document. The clipboard was taken again, a list of names scribbled down:

"There are roses in this tube. Reach in, pull one out, hand it to them. I'm going to state the obvious in that these thorns have roses, so don't get pricked. You need to wear gloves when handling them; someone else can or can't. Doesn't matter, but when you reach into these things? Don't do it with your bare hands."

Lance handed the tube to Melvin. The tube itself was made out of metal, the runes inactive without a glow on the surface. "Questions?"

Lance shrugged. "You're a --" He stopped. Stared. Sighed. "Nevermind, I forgot you're not a Mist. Let's see, what you could do is..." Lance reached up and flicked discolored hair out of his eyes, thinking. "You could find them and just hand it to them and walk off, if you wanted to be mysterious. You could tell them that they're from -- wait. Bad idea. Let me just..." He looked down at the laptop, pulling up the list of names and considering.

"For some, you can easily say a secret admirer sent it. But some people on here can and will probably press you for more details. Just tell them you're the messenger." He shrugged. "Make something up. Or tell them 'Lance made me do it' if you seriously can't think of anything."

Lance shrugged. "Word of advice? Learn to think fast. You'll live longer, trainee. Right now, you're very expendable and liable to drop at any moment. The longer you live, the more useful you are? The more likely you are to live."
