"Hello, little mermaid," Roch said, crouching behind her and whispering in her ear. "I heard you've been a very bad ghoul today." There was a purr--one that only she and probably Riff heard, in his voice--one that said he was about to give her a very hard time over something.
But he hadn't shoved her into the pond. Yet. "How much did the jacker charge, anyway?" he asked.

Amphi jumped at the voice and looked over at the boil standing behind her. Her face brightened as she looked at him but...there was a slight change in his tone...and rumble in his throat that usually meant she was about to get harassed.
Usually with intimacy. She flushed and looked around. While they may be alone at the Koi pond, she didn't know if that was appropriate while out in the open. Her face turned bright red at her thoughts as ducked her head away again.
But if Roch wanted it well...
Wait what? Charge what? She blinked and then looked up at him startled again...What was he talking about?

"An' here I am, runnin' around without a top whenever y'want me to--but y'go and pay some jacktard of a horseman--" he said, dropping down beside her--on his back. He looked up at her with a mournful (slightly evil) expression, reaching up to touch her fingers. "Am I not good enough?" he asked with a pout.
He unzipped his vest. "Too skinny for your tastes?" he offered, giving her a good look at his well defined abs. "I gotta start pumpin' horse... shoes."

Amphi stared at the boil as he flopped down next to her and touched her fingers. Thinking that he wanted to hold hands, of course she reached down to take them...but instead they ripped away to unzip his vest.
She stared at the bare chest and just...stared.
And then back to Roch.
She was so confused. So very confused. What was he talking about? Why would he need to pump horseshoes? can you do horseshoes?

"Y'been payin' t'see Horsemen belly," he said bluntly at the confused expression. "I'm still not sure if I consider that cheatin' or just bad taste, though," he added with a frown. Then he took her hand, playing with her fingers. "So I'mma ask again... am I too skinny for your tastes, lil mermaid? I always figured, considerin' all the times y'tried t'eat me--" Literally.

It still didn't click for the mermaid. Seeing the horsemen's belly?
Oh..OH The death guardian..Soren? His Abs...was that Roch was talking about. She flushed and then looked away, still leaning over him. Of course well...now that she thought about it...while she had been entranced by the horsemens tan and very heavily packed Abs...she had been more ashamed that he would just show them to her!
Who did that!?! Show off Abs not to their ghoulfriends! Well actually...Lou had burned the image of his thing in her mind and well...Nope...NOPE... NOPEEEEEEEEEE.
She shook her head and kept shaking. Roch was her boilfriend and she liked his body well enough. Course she liked him more because of his cute personality and singing voice but...his body was like the triple kill. Her boil wasn't built like the horsemen but he still had things that made her kokoro go doki doki.
She flushed at the mention of eating him and then covered her face, smiling. Quote: It's not cheating! He just showed me! I had no idea what kinda of booth it was! I'm sorry! And Lou was just rude when I saw and then...but I like Roch the best!

His muscles twitched as she pet him--then he looked at the phone, reading it twice-- "When did you run into Lou?" he asked, seriously. Lou had pissed Riyo off to the point she fell out of a tree--the guy was no good, man, no good.
"What did he say?" he added. "Did that jackass say somethin?"

Ah snap, Jack dammit. She looked at the text message and then back to Roch and flushed, her hands fanning out to shake her head no. He hadn't said anything that wasn't well..beyond Lou for saying.
In fact, the best question was not to ask what Lou said, because let's face it, He said all the things...No the question should be what had Lou SHOWN Amphi.
And by shown, she meant when she attempted to steal the phone back from the vampire after a very incriminating photo of her with the undead boil, she had been searching through his pics and happened upon...MANY...personal ones....
Things she had only seen in the book that Roch had showed her....Thing she hadn't even seen on her own boilfriend.

Head turn AWAY from boilfriend now.
That could only mean it was worst. Somehow it went from scolding the mermaid to...killing a innocent but not really vampire.
